The best dog-friendly restaurants and bars in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"This old school-style lunch spot serves salads and sandwiches into the late afternoon, and mostly serves nearby workers who are squeezing in a lunch break. For those with dogs tagging along, misters keep the patio area comfortable for both of you. Don’t overlook the spinach salad with a warm bacon dressing." - Janna Karel

Where to Find the Best Salads in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"For more than 40 years, this California-style cafe has been serving down-home plates of omelets and patty melts. The spinach salad is more satisfying than the name may suggest — spinach leaves, mozzarella cheese, ripe tomato, mushrooms, and croutons are drowned in a warm bacon fat dressing. What it may lack in health factor, it more than makes up for in satiety." - Janna Karel

13 Diners in Las Vegas for Heaping Plates of Bacon and Eggs | Eater Vegas

"While this diner really picks up around 11 a.m. for the business lunch crowd, you can visit at any time for eggs or sandwiches. Open since the ‘80s, spend some time perusing the photos and newspaper clippings that line the walls." - Janna Karel

Google
Total hidden gem imo! The country Benedict might be my new favorite biscuits and gravy in Vegas! Very delicious. The pumpkin pancakes were also excellent. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes! Additional photos located on my profile page and videos on my YouTube page ( VivaLasVegasX )

This wonderful place is a must on your next stop by Vegas. The service was top notch! Not to mention the delicious breakfast. Our server Lauren was the most attentive, helpful, kind and fun one we've had yet. She made our experience unforgettable. Highly recommend.

Google
Nice cozy place that isn't too busy. The servers were very kind, especially to my baby. They were attentive and communicated if there was any delay with the food. The food was great! I had the California Benedict and a waffle and the baby had a Gluten-free pb&j. You could choose strawberry or grape jam.

I've been wanting to come and see this place for a while, a lot of my fellow colleagues in the coffee shop Community have been noticing this place pop up recently. The staff was incredibly welcoming and super knowledgeable, very gracious about guiding me through the menu and showing me all their options! The cafe is cozy and convenient if you need to work, there's plenty of plugs to get your laptop charged. The place is super family friendly and is a wonderful place for breakfast and lunch! I had their version of a French dip with au jus and their house pasta salad, and everything was on point with flavor and texture!!! Definitely coming back here with friends and family to see and explore more of their menu ☺️ Keep up the great customer service, the great quality food and the great vibes at this lil gem!

Google
Was looking for diner type of vibe for lunch. Was happy I found coffee pub. Our waitress was quick but professional. Checked in on us the appropriate amount of time. The food is plentiful and classicly prepared. I got a Cobb salad. Great proportion of dressing, bacon, egg and blue cheese. Good value for the $$$ Looking forward to coming back

Google
Fast and friendly service. Food came out very quickly. Pub Club was tasty and huge. Pasta salad side was well-seasoned. Latte and coffee were nice and hot, not too acidic. The works omelette could’ve used more avocado, but was still good. The potatoes were cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned. First time here, will be coming back.

Google
What a wonderful atmosphere with incredibly friendly staff to great you. Not to mention the hearty breakfast they serve to fuel the rest of your day. This was my first stop every morning in Vegas. Home style food away from home.

Google
The food is so good here. We ordered California Benedict and Veg Omelet. Both are very good. The staff/owners are very nice. The place is off the Strip but is convenient for parking especially if you are driving toward highway 15.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great experience! Will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Vegas. I stayed for a while to do some work so I had a long brunch with a waffle and chicken tacos - all delicious

Yelp
Best breakfast & lunch. We've been coming here for years. Today wasn't good due to the waitress completely left us hanging. No drinks food cold & all on her. The owner is awesome and just be advised she ruined a special occasion. Chris Warner 702-530-1214

Yelp
Amazing food, we got a variety of things for brunch. Lobster melt and orange juice, tortilla soup and steak salad, greek chicken salad. We enjoyed every bite! Lauren our server was on it! She was funny and fast! Loved her vibe. The spot is humble, nothing fancy but we came for the food and we were not disappointed. We were so hungry, we did not even get food pics.

Yelp
Quaint spot for some brunch. Our food and drinks were great. I would've liked some seasoning on the sprouts that were on my veggie omelet, it was pretty bland. Also, the service is a bit slower so go with time to chill. The patio is dog friendly which is a plus.

Yelp
Outstanding breakfast and coffee. Excellent service. Every breakfast should be this good.

Yelp
As my wife described this restaurant, "Ho Hum." The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the interior was painted a dark green with dark wood flooring. The ambiance was dark and uninviting. We've been here before and I had forgotten how gloomy the atmosphere was in the dining room. The autographed photos hung on the walls were interesting, though the single "Best of Las Vegas 1993" plaque along with the age of the pictures certainly gave the impression that the business hadn't evolved with the times. The food was okay, though our potatoes definitely had a burnt garlic flavor and the eggs were a solid medium cook rather than the over-easy we had requested. Overall, with all the breakfast places in Las Vegas, you should consider the nearby Egg & I/Egg Works rather than this humdrum experience.

Yelp
Traditional old time Vegas with the colorful waitstaff to match. Super prompt service. Lauren is a hoot. Basic food, innocuous, non offensive. Great place to get the city vibe if you are too early for checkin.

Yelp
Great, cozy spot for a family breakfast. I enjoyed this location with my parents, brother, and sister last weekend. I ordered a club sandwich and my family had traditional breakfast meals. Our waitress was one of the most friendliest people I've ever met. She took our orders and checked on us constantly. All of our meals came out exactly how we ordered them which is important since we usually have modifications. If you're looking for a quick bite at a casual restaurant.. check this place out! Side note: good for groups and kids!

Yelp
We popped in for breakfast this morning & the place was busy busy busy, but the staff found a free table & we didn't even have to wait. I ordered a turkey & veggie egg white omelet w/ potatoes and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was. We eat out quite a bit, especially breakfast because my son has early morning hockey practices and this spot was absolutely amazing. It looks a bit run down and tiny from the exterior, but once you walk in, it's rather cozy. Service was outstanding. Try it, you won't regret it!

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! My friend brought me here for a girl's brunch, and it was perfect! It's her favorite and for good reason. This spot is intimate, cozy, and gives grandma's house meets English Pub. We were offered the best service I've seen in Vegas by our friendly waitress. Affordable, classic American with some Mexican inspirations. Could not recommend any more. Will be back for those perfect, fresh bagels!

Yelp
Met up with a client here. A down home diner with exceptional foods and service. A big menu with breakfast and lunch offerings. I had the Broccoli and Feta Scramble w/hash browns. Delicious. Our guests had a Cheeseburger, which looked fabulous and a simple Ham and Cheese Croissant sandwich, which was reported good. Packed at the lunch hour and no wonder. Just great simple foods!

Yelp
I only stopped in for coffee but the cafe looks real nice, kinda hidden towards the medical offices other side of in n out

Yelp
My friend invited me to go to lunch to celebrate Mother's Day today on Monday and we went to Coffee Pub on Sahara. The place was buzzing when we got there, but there was space for us to be seated and the service was prompt. I love an old-school place with a comfortable decor, friendly service, and photos of local celebrities who have visited. The menu is very extensive for a small establishment. Everything looks so tempting. It was hard to decide. I opted for the Burns and Allen because I am old enough to remember watching George Burns and Gracie Allen our black and white on television. The sandwich is served with a beautiful, soft marble rye bread, sprouts, cheese, avocado, tomato, lettuce, and soy bacon bits. You can have your option of chips, coleslaw, or fruit. I opted for the fruit and it was quite fresh and delicious. My friend had the lobster melt, which is always her favorite as she is a regular customer here. Well, there were plenty of people here at lunchtime, but the noise level is fine for conversation. There was plenty of parking at the back of the buildings so coming in at 12:30 was not a problem at all. I hope you enjoy this little hidden gem, which is not far from the Strip but far more welcoming!!

Yelp
We stopped in for a filling breakfast on our way through Vegas. Find someplace else if you're in a hurry but here we enjoyed a leisurely cup of Joe and a good-sized omelette on the patio with our dog. Our server was friendly but super busy caring for all of the tables herself. P.s.Only breakfast spots that don't deep fry their home fries get five stars.

Yelp
Food was good but the service was exceptional. Very old school diner super cute and everyone is so friendly. 2nd time coming and will continue to come!

Yelp
I normally make my morning coffee at home with the Keurig. Except, I ran out of pods. This local place is a savior. It's hidden in the back from the main street Sahara. It has outdoor seating as well as indoor. It has a hometown vibe with personal service that makes you feel like a local. It's got a rustic 80s decor which fits their personality. Rather than just filling my coffee mug, I decided to sit and have breakfast. I asked if they make biscuits and gravy which wasn't on the menu. The waiter said yes. It came piping hot. It was delicious as well as the hot coffee. What a find.

Yelp
Awful!!! Be transported back to the early 2000s with the outdated decor. The waitress never checked on us, said we could not get water without lemon in it, messed up our order, and to get the check we had to come get her while she was socializing. Got told that we couldn't have something from the fruit not put in it and she huffed at me. Sorry that I have a food allergy!!!! When she got the food l, she forgot, it was burnt. Looking at the bill she also messed it up. I asked for a manager for the first time ever at a restaurant and was told they don't have one. One of the worst experiences I have ever had And never did anyone say they were sorry or anything. This place is a must avoid.

Stephanie N.

Yelp
Had an amazing experience here. The staff was beyond nice, we actually were served by the owner. The food was so delicious and filling. We chose to sit outside and it was so nice. Will definitely come back if we are in Vegas again.

Yelp
UPDATE: Beware of inconsistent service and food preparation. Today, September 30, 2023, I dined at Coffee Pub again. I experienced a noticeable lack of service and lack of attention to customers. After taking over 10 minutes to receive a cup of coffee after ordering and a waitress loudly vocalizing "F-bombs" , in hindsight I should have left. In short, my coffee cream curdled and had a bug in it, I couldn't raise attention to get another coffee, my food took 45 minutes from ordering to delivery, my meal was incomplete, and the meat was hard and crunchy due to excessive grilling. The service was actually insulting in two ways. After waiting patiently for my meal, I noticed the cook placing my meal under the heat lamp awaiting pickup. Rather than the waitress picking up my meal, she pulled up a chair next to my table, sat down, and proceeded to complain about the cook and management of the restaurant. She even encouraged the guys she was talking to to go to McDonald's (I wish I had). After 2 to 3 minutes of complaining, she finally got up and delivered my breakfast. As mentioned, the breakfast was not good. I was not looking for any discount when I explained my experience to the manager. He had no empathy for my complaints. In fact, all he did was make excuses for the food and the service. He is truly in the wrong business. The poached eggs were cook well and the Hollandaise sauce was fine. I'm sorry to say that I will not be back.

Yelp
Such a great little gem right off the strip. Food was very good - Vegas prices, but it is, of course, Vegas. Service outstanding!!! Would very much come back, everything was fresh, fast, hot and well prepared.

Yelp
Excellent food and an amazing menu full of all kinds of wonderful choices. Nice large waters with lemon. decor is old-school country kitchen with walnut wood and Forest Green paint. country roadhouse. I enjoyed the food. I had poached eggs, turkey, bacon, and a sourdough English muffin with hashbrowns. It was perfect. It didnot have a weird taste left in my mouth, nor did it have a strange flavour that you sometimes find in this types of diners. I donot have a stomach ache. Yay

Samantha H.

Yelp
Oh my gosh. Thee best breakfast we've had in a while. Steak and eggs with garlic potatoes is where it's at. We also ordered the stuffed French toast which was fire. The lobster melt was good too. I also ordered a latte and that was great! Our service was amazing. I will definitely be recommending this place!
google avatar

Natty T.

Yelp
I am a coffee snob, and I have to say this frozen mocha coffee has to be on the top of my list. This coffee just hits different. The coffee, chocolate and ice are blended perfectly together. Also if you love McDonald's hash brown patties, then you're gonna love their potato cakes they are crispy and delicious. It's a great breakfast place.
google avatar

Yelp
I gave the New Yorkers I was taking to breakfast in Las Vegas two options: the place I remembered fondly from my childhood, or a new place I'd heard goods things about. They picked the old favorite and we came here to the Coffee Pub. It was filled with locals and the place felt just as it did all those years ago. I discovered that the smoothies are actually milkshakes but I still totally got one for my daughter. Sharing a Strawberry Bear (my childhood smoothie of choice when my BFF's parents took us to the Coffee Pub) with her was kind of surreal. I enjoyed my steak and soft scrambled eggs. The Coffee Pub is an institution. If you want to dine like a local, come here for breakfast.

Yelp
We've been coming to this restaurant for a few months now & still love it! It's a little bit of a dive, but we all know the rule,... Don't judge a book by it's cover! So honestly, we've only ever eaten outside, even in hot weather (where they often turn on a patio water misting getup). The tables are falling apart & the chairs are mismatched, but the service is exemplary & the food, always phenomenal. This past weekend, we forewent the usual awesome breakfast items for some sandwiches. I had the Redondo (#1 on the sandwich list) & my husband had the Marin (#4). Wow, I mean WOW! Delicious! Mine was a little better imho, because what's not tasty about buttered up & toasted sourdough bread! They don't have a fryer here, so sides are simple & delicious. Kettle Chips on the side & BAM a perfect meal! Hours are limited, so get there before 3:00pm, 7 days a week! Try it!

Yelp
Hubby & I have been coming here forever & it's always consistent!we love the waitress they are so sweet & we've made friends with them . It's like a local breakfast/lunch spot where everyone knows everyone. We have literally tried everything from here & it's all great! Never had a bad plate! Today I got the oatmeal & something as simple as that was great look at my pic! Hubby got the salmon eggs Benedict & those are always delicious! Definitely recommend this place for breakfast & a quick lunch excellent service & food!
google avatar

Greg W.

Yelp
What a great little place for sandwiches and breakfast!! Make sure you bring an appetite! Great indoor and a few tables outside. We ordered a croissant eggs Benedict with a side of hash browns and a two egg breakfast with bacon and hash browns. It also came with choice of toast and what a long list. The bacon was perfectly cooked and not overly salty. Eggs cooked perfect. Hollandaise sauce was excellent. Service was great. Clean interior. This is off the beaten path and as such good prices. Definitely will return.
google avatar

Yelp
Went here for breakfast with my boyfriend and was delightfully impressed. Don't let the atmosphere fool you, it may look dated but the food is fresh and well prepared. The waitress took very good care of us and made sure all of my customizations to my meal were exactly to my liking. I would totally recommend this place and would go back and try more stuff. 100 out of 10!
google avatar

Tomaszek C.

Yelp
Yes, five stars. Place has a cool interior. Great to see friends while having breakfast. I had Smoked salmon Benedicts. I enjoyed the plate. Tasty, not too salty.
google avatar

Yelp
Where do I start? Food was pretty good, weather was cool, my waitress was amazing (tiny Latina, super cool) so what was the issue? There is another waitress who is loud, obviously on something (biker meth?) , rude, abrasive and my bet is insane. How she became the "queen of the staff" is beyond me but she should be transferred to manage a Jimmy Smog in Arizona. I'm halfway done with my meal and she (remember, she is not my waitress) tries to grab my plate and explains "I save food for the homeless"! "Im still eating you skank" was what came to mind but I told her I'm still eating the steak I ordered and am paying for. Really a weird dining experience. Then she proceeded to start shooting pigeons with water and explaining the psychology of the water gun to other patrons. I hate her. Can I get an alert if she is fired or retires so I can come back? She made me want to shove a knife in my ear. A unique kind of annoying that takes years to perfect. 2 stars is generous just based on her!

Leslie V.

Yelp
it's tucked away in a 1980's commercial center off Sahara Avenue. its vibe is california deli. i visit regularly and this time i ordered the kobe beef patty melt on rye with carmalized onions and a house sauce. soooooooo goooood. the side options are fruit, chips, or cole slaw. this time i tried the fruit: melon, pineapple and banana. the service staff is enthusiastic, friendly and proud of the work they do. it shows in the service and food. one of my local faves
google avatar

Luis P.

Yelp
I highly recommend coming here for brunch. Lauren makes you feel right at home. A few of my favorites here are the chicken fajita quesadilla, the stuffed French toast, and a hot chai tea latte with oatmilk. The place is clean and they have an outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy the sun. I try to recommend this place to everyone I know.

Fartun A.

Yelp
Lauren was amazing! My husband and I were traveling and on our last day we visited this amazing place. As Muslim couple, they took our dietary restrictions seriously. Definitely will come back again whenever we are in Vegas again! support local businesses.
google avatar

Cleone J.

Yelp
The friendly staff at the Coffee Pub has been serving familiar neighbors as well as visitors from all over the world who visit Las Vegas and want to see how the locals enjoy our hometown. A tasty menu of breakfast and lunch choices as well as large array of coffee specialties bring patrons back often. Patio seating with colorful umbrellas as well as a front porch offer a variety of seating options in addition to cozy tables for one to a crowd.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
Alright, read reviews which are mostly positive about the food, service and ambiance of this local hidden gem. Yes, go on the weekend or rush hour and you may have to wait for a seat or food or call about anything but an order to go or delivery and you may get cut off- ain't no one got time for that if all the tables are full people. The restaurant profit margins are thin and staffing is the biggest payout so they run barebones at times. In a real hurry, go to a fast food restaurant plenty nearby. If you want to make this place like me your 'Cheers' spot then show up often and engage with the staff as humans not servants. They are warm and loving just like you and we all have bad days so it happens. When I need a breakfast or lunch they are there for me for over 10 years I have been showing up and supporting this small local business- not a chain. Love it, invest and you will too. Remember you reap what you sow. Tourists are most welcome.
google avatar

Dainis C.

Yelp
First time here. I can't believe I'm a native and haven't heard of the little gem. Been there since 1984!!! Customer service was fantastic and the food....... OMG. I want to come back again and again.

Mayra T.

Yelp
This please is absolutely amazing the servers here are so nice they put effort in thee service and the food is so delicious this place is definitely a must!

Yelp
Coworkers recommended this spot for lunch for our office to try this late Friday for lunch. What a neat spot. Wasn't sure what to expect with a name like Coffee Pub. It was a pleasant surprise. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and the prices were good also. I got the lobster omelet and it was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try some of their other menu items.
google avatar

Yelp
I love coming here every time I'm in Vegas for breakfast I enjoy sitting in the outside area & staff is always friendly to everyone. Definitely beats the price at any hotel buffet
google avatar

Yelp
Lauren you make this place! Second visit from 2 years ago and still overly joyed with this hidden gem of a diner! I let Lauren surprise me from my drink to my meal and she did not disappoint. She is a reason to go! The food was so yummy! Price is right too!

Yelp
Great food and great service! Lauren is amazing! Every time we are visiting Vegas we make sure we stop by.

Yelp
My new fave breakfast spot! My BF has been here several times with a coworker who is a regular and has been raving about it to me. We were quickly greeted by the server, Lauren who is super friendly and so attentive. She said we could sit where we wanted and choose a table right near the door. The cute coloring pages on the wall caught my eye first. I loved the kids coloring and it really gave the place a down to earth, let's all relax and hang out kind of vibe. There were a stack of books to share and we talked books with Lauren which was fun since I'm a bookworm. The decor is casual and inviting. My BF got on omelette, which he said is one of his faves and it looked delish. I went with the Big Scramble because it had my favorite- Chicken Apple Sausage along with tomatoes and cheese. Along with our egg choices we went with what my BF loves, the Pub Potatoes. They are seriously the most delicious breakfast potatoes I have ever had. They are perfectly seasoned and just savory goodness. I don't know how to explain how yummy these are except you must try them. We also split a pancake because we just had to and they are delish as well. My Iced Chai Latte was also great. The menu is pretty extensive besides breakfast they have sandwiches, salads, pastas, smoothies and specials. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This place is truly one of Vegas's hidden gems. We have been coming here for years & it exceeds our expectations every single time. From breakfast items to sandwiches & burgers, you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. It's a popular favorite amongst our local news crew as well! You will find an array of signed photos from celebrities to locals who all have enjoyed the delicious foods The Coffee Pub has to offer. So nice to kick back on their patio or relax in their casual dining area & prices are still reasonable. I had the egg salad sandwich with avocado, tomato & cole slaw ( 11.95) & my husband loved his Waygu burger & potatoes. (15.00) Excellent!!
google avatar

Sergio O.

Yelp
Excellent place, feels like another city when you are inside, the history looks amazing, food was really good and service was perfect
google avatar

Kristen J.

Yelp
This is our new go-to breakfast spot. It's a bit far from our home, but it's good enough that it's worth traveling for. I have a tomato allergy, which can be difficult to work around sometimes, and the care in helping me order correctly and in making the food was very evident and appreciated! Try the potatoes and coffees, they're great!
google avatar

Leslie B.

Yelp
What a fantastic local establishment. The food is consistent, excellent, and the service is even better. Lauren, and all of the servers here have always been a pleasure and add so much to the experience. We will continue to go back over and over again.

Yelp
The food is prepared fresh and is delicious. Friendly servers and great outdoor eating area. Really cool looking inside too!

Yelp
Great place and wonderful service. Old Vegas feel to it. Good food. Good atmosphere.
