My friend invited me to go to lunch to celebrate Mother's Day today on Monday and we went to Coffee Pub on Sahara.
The place was buzzing when we got there, but there was space for us to be seated and the service was prompt.
I love an old-school place with a comfortable decor, friendly service, and photos of local celebrities who have visited.
The menu is very extensive for a small establishment. Everything looks so tempting. It was hard to decide.
I opted for the Burns and Allen because I am old enough to remember watching George Burns and Gracie Allen our black and white on television.
The sandwich is served with a beautiful, soft marble rye bread, sprouts, cheese, avocado, tomato, lettuce, and soy bacon bits. You can have your option of chips, coleslaw, or fruit. I opted for the fruit and it was quite fresh and delicious.
My friend had the lobster melt, which is always her favorite as she is a regular customer here.
Well, there were plenty of people here at lunchtime, but the noise level is fine for conversation.
There was plenty of parking at the back of the buildings so coming in at 12:30 was not a problem at all.
I hope you enjoy this little hidden gem, which is not far from the Strip but far more welcoming!!
