Coffee Tyme At The Beach

This may be one of the best chais I’ve ever had in my life!! I was severed by Ian and Aaron, two very respectful employees who were very willing to answer any questions I had. This is a wonderful, cozy, shop and I can’t wait to come back!!

My friends an I ordered Carmel Frozen Coffees. Tasted like frozen milk an Carmel no coffee flavor at all. Do yourself a favor go to Wawa much cheaper also over $7.50 for a small. We each got a donut Bavarian filled lucky to have a tablespoon in it. Also tasted stale. Last time I will be visiting their establishments!

we were lured in from the delightful smell and seasonal offerings, so we were very excited to try! unfortunately, there was a mishap while ordering and the barista did not realize that i was ordering 2 drinks at once, plus they had a technical error with the register. this is all fine, everyone makes mistakes, and technology glitches! our party realized the mistake and did finally point out that we still had not received a drink, they did get started on making the drink, but not without assuming that i wouldn’t pay for the second drink and giving me a bit of an attitude even though i was perfectly happy to pay for the items i ordered. i went to the counter to get my drink when it was ready, and the person who handed it to me chuckled at me and asked why i just sat there and didn’t say anything to which i replied that we thought we were just waiting for it to be made and hadn’t realized the mistake yet! i felt like they were blaming me for a simple mistake that technically was on their end. all in all, pretty unacceptable customer service, and the drinks we got were not at all worth the trouble.

This Coffee shop caught my attention from just the name alone. It is very good. I ordered a frozen Mocha with a shot of espresso added. I had to add it because it doesn't come with it. We ordered very fast, but waited about 10 minutes on our order. I love the Coast Guards get free coffee. The store is VERY SMALL and fills up quickly.

I went to both locations and I tried the Washington Square location first ,first and the drinks were really good. Everything was great then went to the beach location and both drinks were really really milky and had no flavor. The people working there were very nice and great atmosphere but not sure why the 2 locations were drastically different, especially when paying $15 plus for drinks.

Gracie and Ellie made us the best drinks and provided the best customer service!! They patiently helped us with ordering, guiding us to the perfect drink based on our favorite flavors! It was a truly exceptional experience!

Love going in before my long shift and getting the frozen mocha coffee. It’s the best. The red headed barista girl she knows my order every time I go in. That’s good service

I LOVED the gluten-free breakfast sandwich that my daughter got me today from Coffee Tyme! Thank you to Olivia R. who was very helpful and made my daughter's Almond Joy Mocha Iced Coffee.

Been going her for years and have no excuse as to why I haven't I added to my review portfolio before now. BEST Iced COFFEE IN NJ, not just in Cape May. And this is the consensus of a large family of coffee snobs (as well and pizza snobs). Do not go to the mall without a visit!

Got takeaway sausage egg and cheese sandwiches to eat on the beach. They were satisfying and hit the spot. Store is cute. Service is good but slow. Prices not cheap but about average for cape May. Convenient.

Friendly staff. Love the small town vibe of this place. Cash or Venmo only. Got a great seasonal latte - snickerdoodle. Was great!!! Warm and smooth! Very impressed. We got 2 breakfast sandwiches. They were good but a bit small for $7.50. Expected a little more size.

Coffee Tyme is a true staple in Cape May, one on Beach Ave and one in the Washington Mall. Good iced coffee and good baked goods!

Such delicious coffee. There are so many options for types of coffee and flavors. The service is friendly. Great lil coffee shop with a casual vibe.

I ordered a cappuccino. It was not great, lacking that full-bodied espresso flavor to which I'm accustomed. Also, $5 seems pricey for a small cappuccino. Aside from the drink, the place was crammed, with only a couple of stools, and the counter at which we sat was sticky. The service wasn't great, either: the girl at the "register"--in quotation marks because I had to pay via Venmo for some reason--could use a personality adjustment.

coffee was overly expensive and all drinks tasted like milk and had no other flavor. also we found a fly in one of our drinks. wouldn't recommend.

They may not have a huge selection compared to the larger bagel/cafe chains in the area, but their muffins are light and they have a range of self service coffee options. 10 min/$.25 street parking in front.

So if your a lavender girl like me please get the lavender honey latte. They do it so well here. It was my favorite coffee of my weekend and I drink a ton of coffee. Side note being cash since they are cash only. They do have a atm but who wants to do that for a coffee. Only reason it's not five stars lol

Got the Cinnamon Twist iced latte with oat milk- worst latte I've ever had. Bitter, yet watered down and $7.99. The cinnamon and vanilla flavors taste horrible for some reason. It's giving an aftertaste as if you drank liquid medicine. Throwing this right in the garbage and brushing my teeth as we speak :(

Love this place! The lavender iced lattes are delicious. Honestly one of the best I've had.

First smoothie I have ever had without fruit. It was awful just syrup and ice, I took a few sips and threw it in the trash.

If you want a delicious drink made fresh and quick, this is the placeeee! Not only were the staff really friendly, but they made four drinks in under 5 minutes. Just wanted to add that I really, REALLY enjoyed the pumpkin chai latte! It was sooo good.

Honestly the best coffee ever. Have been coming to Cape May for decades of vacations and always look forward to Coffee Tyme as a staple. Their brewed coffees are the best-and don't miss out on their flavor of the days!

I was greeted by the sweetest girl at the register (it was 1st day on the job!) and knew I wanted to try their well-known Frozen Coffee Specialty. The girl behind chimed in and told me her mom's go to which was (I believe) a Peanut Butter Chocolate Frozen Coffee with a shot of Espresso and Oat milk- and thats what I got! So good even though I ak not a super chocolatey person when it comes to coffee in the morning. Will definitely be stopping by again the next time I am in town to do another review! :)

Go here for coffee. Do not go here if you're looking to get a good breakfast sandwich. The frozen cappuccino was outstanding. However we made the mistake of getting their pork roll, egg and cheese sandwich -- pre-made scrambled egg (?) disc and one slice of undercooked pork roll does not make for a good start to the day. Pricey for what they are and highly disappointing. Go elsewhere if you want a good breakfast sandwich. But coffee seemed on point.

Nice iced coffee. Can get crowded but line moves fast. Friendly staff working hard. Bring cash or use the atm- Cash only.

I stopped in here for a quick afternoon coffee pick me up. It's fairly spacious on the inside, not the cutest of coffee shops but not bad by any means. Pretty large coffee selection of flavors and mix ins. I got an iced raspberry white chocolate latte and wished I had just stuck with plain coffee. It tasted very artificial and was overly sweet. I tried a friends sugar free caramel coffee shake and it was not good. It is made from a powdered coffee base and it tasted chalky and stale. I can't say whether I'd recommend their coffee because it was difficult to taste over the artificial flavors. I'd recommend stopping in at Magic Brain Cafe instead just up the road. Excellent coffee and baked goods!

Was there by 7am. My iced coffee was very tasty , I also got a banana fosters iced coffee that was very very good. Sandwiches looked great and service was good. Had to wait til 7am, Long lines during other hours and the bakery items didn't look fresh.

So many choices. All good. Staff is great too! You can't go wrong with Coffee Tyme. This is the place the locals favor and visitors come back to year after year. Best breakfast sandwiches in town!

My usual coffee place was closed on Wednesdays. So I thought I would try this location at the Washington Street Mall. The coffee latte I got was not very hot , staff was not very friendly, as a matter of fact the girl at the register only words were to her coworkers "can we make coffee in someone else's cup" And there's no discount for bringing your own mug. Also please note, they don't take credit cards. All in all, the coffee was not bad, however it would've been very good if it was hotter.

Love coffee tyme so much! Tried iced panda bear mocha with almond milk today. The chocolate they use is vegan!! So delicious, a nice treat!

Cute little spot to stop and grab breakfast before the beach. Good location right off the boardwalk with quick service. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with eggs, avocado, cheese and tomatoes and a smoothie (which tastes better then it may look in the photo)! My friend ordered another sandwich on a croissant and felt it was a little bland and dry which is the reason for four stars.

I am SO MAD that we discovered this place on the morning we were leaving Cape May. There are a ton of options and blends to choose from, although a bit pricey, it was worth every cent. I got the panda bear coffee and it was the perfect blend. Looking on the outside, we thought that this place was a cheap and quick coffee joint that didn't have good brews... we were wrong!

Great coffee shop! Stopped in here on our way out of cape may to get some breakfast for the drive home and will definitely make another stop on our next trip down. I had the Christmas cookie latte which was very festive and fun and a cinnamon bun. Look forward to coming back in the future

Whenever I'm in Cape May, I make sure to grab a large iced hazelnut coffee from this place! It's literally only $3.50(I think) and it's amazing because there's no syrup added to the coffee for the hazelnut flavor! I wanted to try out their pastries one day, so I ordered a croissant and blueberry scone... The blueberry scone was stale and the croissant wasn't a real croissant since it looked like a Dunkin Donuts breakfast sandwich microwavable croissant.... Point is- come to Coffee Tyme for the coffees/teas, but steer clear of any baked goods!

$6 for a frozen coffee drink ? An we though Starbucks was the criminal? Ha. Coffee Tyme? More like Coffee Tyme Out!

Not really getting the hype of this place. The staff was very friendly and quick but the coffee was not good and the muffin was very dry.

I had gotten a iced vanilla latte and at first I thought they used an interesting set of coffee beans but in the end it worked out. The only problem was that I could not taste the vanilla even though it's a vanilla latte not a regular latte.

The mocha hot coffee is the best caffeine beverage I've ever had in my life. Not exactly sure what's in it, but it's a frothy milk mocha taste that makes me wish I could make this at home!! Their breakfast sandwiches are awesome. We love their regular House coffee As well. A lil pricey but what isn't in CM! It's worth it. My boyfriend and I love and adore Coffee Tyme and it's always a special treat we look forward to every time.

Delicious coffee! Service was fast and friendly despite having a large order of breakfast sandwiches for 10 people. Eating on the beach across the street was wonderful and I will definitely retun!

I won't go in to too much detail since I just went with a coffee drink. I had a Panda Bear Mocha that consists of chocolate syrup, vanilla syrup, espresso, ice, milk, and whipped cream. For whatever reason they didn't make mine with whipped cream, but I tend to order drinks without it, so no biggie. The drink really hit the spot. Sweet with a good blend of the chocolate and vanilla flavorings. Prices stray a little higher then I'd prefer, but overall the drink size was pretty good and I really enjoyed it. I'm interested to give some of their other items a try.

Good coffee, breakfast sandwiches were great too. Not sure I would recommend the cinnamon bun as it tasted a little stale as if it was a few days old.

Coffee Tyme's is certainly the go to spot for coffee in Cape May due to its name recognition and convenience. I had a multitude of various drinks throughout my week long stay ranging from plain brewed coffee to their specialty lattes. (((All the drinks were good but an absolute turnoff was to see the barista spill half of the espresso along the side of the cup and then proceed to be short on steamed milk to then pour from of my other ordered latte into the second one; resulting in two watery lattes.))) On multiple occasions the drinks are short on milk which is frustrating especially because the drinks are expensive. It's not that difficult to steam additional milk, and the customer would prefer to wait a few moments for a full cup. Not being cash only is challenging especially because the coffee is expensive, more than Starbucks expensive. But understandable due to the location and tourist nature. The staff is sufficient, not overtly friendly. Lines can get long but everyone moves throughout in a decent amount of time. The cinnamon bun and donut were both good, and would probably be stellar if microwaved for a few seconds. Lastly, the bagels are chewy but tasty!

Amazing breakfast sandwich. Best dirty iced chai with sugar free vanilla that I've ever had! Omg!! So wish I could get this on the reg instead of just vacation. Yummm!

Easily the best coffee shop in town. They offer a wide variety of specialty drinks and coffee brews. The iced coffee is my favorite, and I typically get the dark roast. The frozen mocha is also a solid go-to in the summer. Apart from the coffee, which by itself is enough to keep you coming back, they have freshly baked pastries, bagels, and their breakfast sandwiches are the type of quality you expect from a restaurant. Get the pork roll on a plain bagel. The pricing is reasonable, the environment is really nice inside with a few tables and a small window front bar. They've got music playing typically, and all of this is beachfront in Cape May. Not much more you can ask for in coffee shop, if you ask me.

Most flavored coffees I've had smell delicious but never taste as good. If you like flavored coffee, this place has the best I've ever had! I purchased a bag of Bananas Foster ground coffee and made it in a French press. It was amazing! Other flavors like coconut and blueberry cinnamon are next on my list!

Coffee is coffee. But Coffee Tyme is more than just coffee. It's warm welcomes. It's happy smiles even on the busiest days. It's delicious coffee time and time again. It's freshness behind every drip, or pour or blend or mix. It's there for your rude morning wake up to get the day started. It's variety. It's a mom and pop shop that exceeds the guests expectations. It's there to stay and to bring joy to us all day or night. From hot to cold, or light to bold, Coffee Tyme is where I am sold. When I ask where do I get my coffee, I say Coffee Tyme. Everytime.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, great coffee, staff and service make this a hidden gem right in front of your eyes in Cape May along Beach Avenue. You can order and sit in the location to have your coffee and danish or donut or sit outside on the bench people watching in front of Coffee Tyme. It's a go to place after watching the sunrise anytime you are in town.

Great location right by the beach, wish they had some outside seating tho. Lots of options to choose from drink wise like smoothy's, tea's and of course coffee but don't come to hungry as the food options are limited. They have bagels, cookies/pastries and I saw some kinda fruit bowl. I didn't try any of the food so can't really tell if it's any good.

Average coffee at boutique prices something you desire? Look no further. Bruh pick literally anywhere else for coffee. The hotel had superior coffee.

I waited 15 minutes for them to open this morning only to find that they only take cash. Um, hi...welcome to 2018. You are missing out on a lot of business, particularly from early morning runners looking for a good coffee. Who carries cash with them anymore? Update: the owner reached out to me and said they were working on adding a CC option this month. Based on that, I will increase my review a couple of stars. Since I wasn't able to try anything there, I can't give more stars. The shop was very cute, though, and I would definitely try it again if I was ever in the area.

I recently visited Cape May and went to Coffee Tyme. They make the best no sugar mocha Frappuccino. This is my new favorite store in Cape May.

Love love this place ! Quaint clean and the best coffee! But to all the people who go there order an espresso and then pour glass of milk from the fixing bar to make a latte , stop being so dam cheap and order one instead!! I'm so disgusted with hearing about this ! These places have been struggling to stay open and then have to deal with people doing these things !! Have some class! Can't wait to go back ! Greatest coffee!!

Love love LOVE the coffee beans!!! I purchased 1/4 of a pound of the coffee cake beans just to try it out for when I got home and I'm so disappointed I didn't buy more!! The most amazing coffee I've ever tasted, the beans have such a nice flavor and are perfectly roasted. Wishing they shipped coffee!

Coffee Tyme on the Beach is not to be confused with the Coffee Tyme at the Washington St Mall. Night and day for reasons unknown. Coffee Tyme at the Beach is a 4-5 star operation. Coffee Tyme on the mall is a sad 2 stars. Since I have been going to the beach location for years, I thought my comments re the pathetic Coffee Tyme on the mall to the management of the beach location might be helpful. Silly me. The kids and cook too manning the beach location could not care less about what I had to say and worse, made me feel pretty stupid as I told them of the lukewarm coffee, lack of product, and terrible breakfast sandwiches. Maybe some readers of my 2 star review of the mall location will take serious notice. At a minimum BOTH location lost my business and that of my large family.

We biked there because there is limited street parking --bike racks are across the street near the beach. Super efficient, fast service. We all got iced coffees with different syrups. While one worker took our payments, the other prepared our individual orders so that our drink was ready literally five seconds after paying. Very efficient. Plus the coffee was good. Five stars.
