I always swing by here on the way to class if I am wanting a coffee or something to eat. The coffee is always good here, haven’t had anything I was disappointed with. I usually get the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Croissant and it’s always great. The service is always very friendly, asking about my day and how I’m doing. LOVE this place!

This was a good coffee shop. I got an iced pistachio oat milk latte and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Both were really good. There is plenty of seating and it is quiet in the mornings. The staff was super friendly.

We used to frequent coffee waves when we lived in Corpus and it’s always one of our first stops when we visit now. They have the very best coffee. The grasshopper is our fave - can’t be beat!!

The absolute best coffee shop in Corpus Christi. Great coffee — hot and cold — nice atmosphere, friendly baristas, cool locals. The gelato is to die for and you can level it up as an affogato. A perfect place to catch up on emails or study. If you haven’t been here, you need to visit.

We stopped by Coffee Waves and honestly, the inside was such a pleasant surprise—it looks way better than the outside! The vibe was calm and cozy, with a good number of people quietly doing their own thing. The cashier was super nice and didn’t make me feel weird for not knowing drink names (love that). Both staff members were polite and welcoming. The drinks were spot on! I got a matcha with sugar-free vanilla and swapped out the honey they usually add. I also added strawberry cold foam, so good! My boyfriend got something that totally gave caramel Frappuccino vibes (I forgot the name, sorry!). I tried checking their website for a menu but couldn’t find one, so that was a little tricky. Overall, this place is a hidden gem. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

We got a carrot cake, lemon loaf, Chamomile tea with honey and x3 espresso shot. Everything was great besides the espresso shots! Tasted bitter and sour, probably burnt beans, poor extraction techniques and just a really bad experience.

Big train is one of their best sellers and I like their caramel flavor so much. The ambiance in this coffee shop is pretty cozy when you want to study but it has its busy hours of course usually in the morning.

Cute little coffee shop near the university. Friendly service, good coffee. Was a nice spot to sit and visit, even if you are not a college student.

For the coffee connoisseurs: this was the best coffee I've had in a WHILE. I opted for an iced honey bee after the super helpful barista shared with me that it's not overly sweet since that's my preference. The roast itself feels nutty and chocolately. I didn't spend time in the shop, but noted that there was a lot seating, with cozy seating, as well as study seating. WILL be returning!

Aidan really wants to make sure we never come back here. Every time we come, he tells us that he usually can't take the cheese off a breakfast sandwich because they are just too busy, but he will do it this one time. He makes a point of saying that in the future they might not be able to. We come every week, and get the same unpleasant speech each time. This week was a new tune, though! Aidan has now decided that it's a health code violation to remove the cheese, but he's "too nice so [he]'ll do it this one time." You can imagine our surprise to learn of this. Glad to know coffee waves employed someone who at best goes out of his way to make customers feel shame asking for their dietary restrictions, or at worst violates the health code to impress customers with his kindness.

This place is phenomenal. It's not your average cold new age coffee joint. It's all dark wood on the inside. It really looks amazing. I mean Coffee Waves? What a great name for a coastal coffee shop. The coffee is great and I got what was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had at a coffee shop. 5/5 would recommend. I ate here on the way to run the back half of beach to bay marathon while my teammate was running the first half. It really fueled my day well.

On the last trip to Corpus Christi, I wanted to try this coffee place out but didn't have time, so I said I would stop by the next time I was in town, which was earlier today, 8/7/24. My husband and I decided to get the riptide refresher, which was delicious. As much as I hate giving this place 3 stars, the customer service was terrible. Parking was a bit scarce, and customer service was horrible. The gentleman who helped us was not friendly or welcoming. I'm unsure if he was having a bad day or irritated that my husband and I took almost 5 minutes to review the menu, as it was our first visit, but he was not at all friendly or welcoming. As I waited for our drinks, I noticed they would call names as their drinks were ready, but when it came to mine, I watched the gentleman set our drinks on the counter and not say anything until I walked over and asked if it was the riptide. He responded, "Yeah." I replied back with a "thank you," but again, no response. However, there were two ladies working as well, and they were friendly and welcoming.

i wanted to give them 5 stars bc when they actually get you your drink correctly, it's pretty good. i have a huge issue with walking into a business and having no one speak to me for over ten minutes. i've noticed this is a trend at a lot of corpus businesses but this one stands out. they prioritize drive thru orders over the walk in people, so while you might be second in line, the people in the drive thru will get service before anyone even greats you inside. i literally walked outside and got in my car and used the drive through to order after waiting for what i feel is way too long inside. hire more people? the drive through should have no impact on the walk in customers. also, i came here a few times while in town and they only got my order correct once. i'm not sure if people understand no sugar:sweeteners mean just that. i had honey added to one, some simple syrup or something sweet to another. they do use great matcha, (matcha konomi) which is what i wanted to taste- not the sweeteners. i understand the bar is pretty low in corpus for customer service and efficiency but a basic "hello we will be with yall shortly" would go along way. also, $7+ for an iced matcha is INSANE, especially which the sub par service

Great place to sit have a cup of coffee and be able to enjoy yourself or even a friendly conversation. Compared to many of the coffee shops I've been to in the area, the space has plenty of seating and seating for all types of customers, the casual coffee drinker at the bar, bar tops to sit and get stuff done or stand, comfortable cozy seats, and causal table seating with space to do work, homework, or hold a small meeting. My late and drip coffee both tasty and the barista did what she could to make a beautiful latte art even though she was walking it to me further away from the bar than me possibly her liking. She was so sweet and did what she could to let me get a good photo. The bathrooms were being cleaned as I was there, which made it awesome to know they were keeping up with it. My drip coffee was tastier black than when I added all the things, but still was yummy. Highly recommend this location and the Coffee Waves Chain.... Can we bring one to San Antonio now ;)

Great coffee spot in Corpus Christi. It's not far from the beach shoreline but not walking distance . You will need transportation. Food - 4 stars Coffee was delicious and made to my customization. Didn't want something too sweet and she made it perfectly. Customer service - 4 stars Baristas are friendly Price - $$ dollar signs Cleanliness- 4 stars Restroom - stars Did not view

The drink wasn't that bad but the service was awful. I believe the servers name was shelby?? She was incredibly rude and obviously very aggravated. While taking our order she gave obviois attitude and was rude about the tip. Very unprofessional, personally will not visit this location while she works there.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops because of the great tasting coffee (and the hot chocolate), but also because of the covered patio outside! I also love coming here for to do my homework for my college classes.

We went to get gelato. We got the sopapilla cheesecake and banana pudding flavors. They were both delicious.

so good!! The ambience and interior was super nice, very spacious and great for chatting and studying :) The price for the drinks are reasonable too. One thing was that the bathroom sink would not shut off.

Service was really great. I did go through the drive-through and the coffee was just OK for me but way better than Starbucks.

I have been going here for years and I love this place, there's plenty of room to sit. the sandwiches are great! Most of all let's not forget to mention the coffee ohhhh the coffee! The espresso will get you up and running!

Great spot to get some work done while visiting family in Corpus. Was able to work outside and enjoy the breeze.

Love this place, their chai tea is seriously the best in town. Haven't tried their food yet but definitely want too. Really cool hip atmosphere. All good experiences

A great coffee shop to come hangout at! My favorite item to order is a warm oat milk match latte with lavender and honey. If you would like to stay in your car they also have a drive though! Would not recommend the muffins, very dry and bland.

Had a little free time while working in the area and stopped in! So glad I did. My iced lavender latte was absolutely delightful, could actually taste the lavender. Also there was a perfect amount of ice (so often there's just too much ice!). Also they are requiring masks and staff wearing them, which I very much appreciated!!! Thank you for a wonderful coffee experience!

My favorite coffee spot in town. Love a hug in the mug all time of the year !! Service is good and the staff is friendly.

This visit had mixed results. My one scoop of cookies and cream gelato was good but they've dialed the assortment back to six flavors and coffee wasn't one of them. My wife had a frozen blended drink that turned out well. Our friend got an iced americano......they forgot her order at first, then what they brought her was weak and bitter, she mentioned it and they brought her another stronger but bitterer version....she thought it tasted like it was made from instant. We did a lot of bragging about this place....her order wasn't up to their usual high bar.

Extremely rude staff which is such a shame for a cute place. I will not be returning and I will dissuade others from going to this location as well.

Great environment to get some work done. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Their coffee is great and they do offer a military discount. Staff is very nice. Only thing I would say is that the music is at times a little too loud to focus. If you have noise cancelling headphones then it's no issue.

Very nice place and they were happy to bag me up a bag of single origin Mexico beans for sale, the pour over was excellent and so was the service.

One of the more spirited coffee venues that I've ever been to in terms of employee enthusiasm. The guy with the glasses that kept saying "another XYZ coffee is ready at the baaaaaaaaaaar" was cracking me up the entire time that I was there. The other two females behind the bar were pretty funny as well. While my coffee tastes are fairly simple (expressos, cold brews), this location offers a pretty decent assortment of snacks that would put Starbucks to shame. Though this location looks like a hole-in-the-wall type of venue upon first glance, its far from it once you enter. Quite a bit of space all around. My only complaint is of the drive-thru. If you parked in the last spot on the far left of the parking lot that was in front of that massive pothole like I did, you'll see that the drive-thru traffic is almost upon you. The designers could've done better, but oh well. Look both ways a lot when parking within the drive-thru side of the lot. Certainly one of Corpus Christi's best that I'll definitely return to.

If you are looking for coffee reviews skip this because I was here for vibes and pastries only. First the service for the most part was okay... the staff seemed to be clueless about the discounts and Yelp offers but otherwise were attentive. I enjoyed the banana nut bread and double chocolate muffin - both very delicious! Overall, this place is one of the better coffee shops in Corpus. Great study times for the few weeks I spent in the city.

I always enjoy going here to work for a bit. They have lots of outlets and excellent food/drink options. The workers are always kind and welcoming and even when busy the place is kept very clean.

The hubby and I needed some caffeine before driving back to Austin. Luckily we were directed to this place which was awesome. I had a iced mocha which tasted great very chocolatey. The hubby had and iced latte which he liked. We hung out for awhile to enjoy the ambiance. Our barista was very nice. We both were intrigued with the pick your adventure option and the gelato looked awesome. This is now a must stop when we are in Corpus!

I remember seing this place affected by huricane Harvey. I stopped by 3 months after the hurricane, wanted to have some coffee and I remembered seing like a concession trailer parked on the parking lot. Not offering a lot from their regular menu during those hard times, but I don't believe they ever went out of business. Despite that horrible event in PA, now this place is a great cozy local coffee shop to be anytime of the day. Either breakfast, or dessert. I stopped for breakfast but I couldn't resist to have a starcciatela gelato. Hmmm so yummy, and refreshing during the hot days at Port Aransas. The menu has a little bit of everything. The staff is super friendly which makes you feel so at home. Stop by and relax you are on island time.

As we are not from corpus, this was our first time to Coffee Waves and it was amazing!!!!!! I asked the girl at the counter for recommendations, and she recommended a coconut iced coffee which was amazing!! She recommended the honey badger for my hunny (no pun intended) We loved it, and loved that they were perosnallized. We got the coffee super fast and they were gone all too fast as well. I would go back anytime I'm in Corpus. Honestly we left the next day and I threw a tantrum because my hubby wouldn't go 20 mins out of the way on our 5 hour drive to get me coffee

The flour bluff location is amazing! We tried the alameda location this morning and my macchiato had grounds in it! Also the sizes are smaller.

Delicious gelato and handmade coffee drinks at this hip and cool spot near the TAMUCC campus on Alameda. We had one scoop of the cinnamon roll and one scoop of the Dulce gelato - and loved every bite!! Both burst with flavor and freshness, which you expect since their gelati are made daily. Steve got the Affogata - a shot of espresso over a scoop of Dulce gelato, topped with whipped cream. WOW - what a delicious combination! 5 sweet and toasty stars

I got an iced double butter latte. It was really good! Nice cozy set up inside too. Plenty of seating.

I've only been to this place twice ever , this being my second time. The gentleman at the front counter was super nice and answered my questions and made suggestions. I got an iced lavender latte, the lavender wasn't overpowering it wasn't too sweet and the espresso was perfect. The coffee shop was clean and staff was wearing masks. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a coffee fix.

Coffee waves always has good products and good service! Every time I go to coffee waves they always have fun gelato flavors and the baristas are really good at making suggestions to go with them. Always super friendly and great drinks!!! If you haven't been to any of the coffee waves locations, you are missing out!

What's better than another coffee joint? A coffee place that also sells GELATO! I was at another ice cream place that also sells coffee and the gal suggested I come here. Excellent suggestion! I love the architecture in this place! Lots of tile and stone work. There are archways between rooms, rather than squared off entryways. This is such an eclectic and warm place to hang out. There are games for you to play with. If you need to charge your electronics, there are plug ins scattered around on the walls. There is also free WiFi here! There are wooden tables and chairs, as well as couches and comfy chairs. You can also enjoy the lighted patio. My husband and I both got some gelato. He got double chocolate. I ordered The Elvis, Pistachio, and Panna Cotta. All were so very good! The staff are friendly and served us up quickly. To warm us up after the ice cream, he got a Mocha Latte and I got a Chai Latte. I think the Chai Latte was the winner. I liked the spices used to make it. If I lived in the area, this would be my go to spot!

I had the Mexican Cocoa with 2 shots of espresso and the blueberry muffin (warm), and my husband had the Caramel Frappuccino with the lemon loaf. Both were equally delicious, but the lemon loaf was the BEST!!! Great rustic vibe, not too packed (for a Sunday morning) absolutely recommend!

Got an iced lavender latte and an iced coffee with toffee nut. The latte tasted burnt and you couldn't really taste the lavender, and the iced coffee was very watery and you could barley taste the toffee nut. The service was good and the staff was friendly and it was only about $3 a coffee for a 16 oz which isn't too bad for the area.

It tooks us 20 min to order and then finally get our coffee. We were the only patrons at window. We would have driven off if we hadn't already paid. Ridiculous waste of time. We drove out of the way to support a small business instead of Starbucks. They need to work on their business practice.

Great coffee and awesome gelato! Relaxing atmosphere. Love the artwork. All locations are a nice spot to stop and grab a cup and sit and relax. The employees are always super friendly too.

I really love this place. Recently started coming here instead of starbucks - less wait time and I think the coffee is way better. Tastes genuine not watered down or full of sugar. They have so many flavors and even a drive through! I never trusted local coffee places till I came here because the inside is set up for studying with wifi and tables all over. Best coffee chain in corpus!

I haven't been to coffee waves in over 3 years when I was at TAMUCC. Loved visiting and the quality of their coffee hasn't changed a bit. Stop by and support a local business! They are open with limited seating capacity during COVID-19.

Awesome place. I have been twice and the second time the lady at the drive through window saw my dog and asked he likes treats and surprised us with a puppuccino.

Cool place. Decor is a bit dated, like a bad McMansion from 2004. Their coffee is great, it'll put hair in your chest! If you're looking for something with flavor, ask for extra sauce/flavor.

Great coffee place in Corpus! Pros: Super cozy nice atmosphere, very welcoming and knowledgeable staff about their menu, and a nice outdoor patio for cool evenings. Very good espresso and coffee drinks. Cons: Saw no place to add cream for yourself.. so a cream station would be nice next to the sugar station. Little bugs on the outside patio tables. (Not a deal breaker as we understand it's outside obviously.. however maybe just spray them down and treat around the perimeter to keep them down. TRY THE HONEY BADGER!! Absolutely delicious. Overall it's an excellent coffee shop, if your in the area, traveling through, or just wanting to try something new. Give Coffee Waves a try. :)

A really great cup of coffee or a latte but the service could try and be a little friendlier in the drive thru.
