The Best Coffee Shops in Denver | Eater Denver

"The nicest couple runs this West Highland ode to Indonesia, not only sourcing their beans from the Southeast Asian country but showcasing its traditions by offering the likes of tubruk (aka mud coffee) and gula aren (palm sugar) syrup. But they also have fun with flavors from all over, whether they’re pouring a Noir Bliss latte with black sesame and black cocoa or a seasonal Butter Rum Golden Snitch with a double shot of espresso, butter rum sauce, black lava salt, and a toasted marshmallow." - Ruth Tobias

This place is easily the best coffee i have ever tasted. It is also the most adventurous coffee I have ever tried. Im still dumbfounded that palisade peaches could mix so perfectly with ginger oolong and cold brew! The owners are extremely kind and had great conversations with us both times we've went! We loved them so much we came back the next day. Im also very grateful for being turned on to the wonderful flavor of pandan. The matcha was perfect and traditionally prepared. The traditional japanese pour over is now my favorite coffee! We had their house made cake donuts as well and they're also the best I've had. This place is an absolute treasure and the only coffee experience id drive 30 minutes to have! I wish I took more photos. We have found our new date-day favorite!

Google
Incredible espresso and coffee, but also creative fun options and lots of non coffee options too. Great vibes and I didn't have the pastries but they looked delicious. The person behind the counter was willing to chat with you about options or if you had any questions. Highly recommend!!

Google
One of the best matcha I’ve had. The pandan syrup added was aromatic and delicious. We also got the spiced coffee and the croissant pastry which were both amazing as well. The owners are so lovely. Definitely recommend and will be returning frequently.

Google
Coffeegraph is such a gem! I had the strawberry matcha latte and it was absolutely delicious, refreshing, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is laid-back with plenty of natural light, stylish decor, and a really comfortable vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out or get some work done. The space feels modern yet cozy, and the staff was welcoming. Definitely one of my new favorite coffee shops!

Google
good drip coffee menu, i had the wine process option and it’s been one of the coffees i had in a long time. the staff was very friendly and they’ve got great knowledge about what they’re selling. might be a bit pricey but it’s worth the quality!

Google
Came here to check out their Harry Potter menu and was not disappointed. I got the Butter Rum Snitch, which came with a toasted marshmallow. The HP decor is well done (not overdone) and staff super kind and friendly. Great place to meet for coffee or work!

Google
This place is amazing. It has all kinds of coffees that are unique and so fun to try! They also have matcha and delicious syrup flavors. I had the coconut matcha, it was refreshing, healthy, incredible. I’m not doing it justice by my description, it SO good, just trust me, go and try it!

Google
I had the pleasure of trying their Kopi Tubruk, and it was truly something special! Served very hot, it’s a rich, bold coffee with no sour notes—just pure, aromatic goodness that lingers beautifully. It’s a unique brew you don’t often find, and it instantly became a favorite. The coffee shop has such a warm and inviting atmosphere—it’s the kind of place where you just want to relax and chill all day. The owner was incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about coffee, which made the experience even more enjoyable. You can tell a lot of heart goes into every cup. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates quality coffee and a cozy vibe!

Yelp
I've been looking for an Asian coffee shop in Denver and I think I've finally found it! Coffee is immaculate and vibes are stellar - 10/10. Coffeegraph specializes in Indonesian coffee. When I came, I ordered off the seasonal menu which had combined Valentine's Day and Lunar New Year drinks. The seasonal menu looked soo good and you have a choice to make drinks with matcha or espresso. I ordered an iced Mon Cherie Amaretto latte with almond milk. They do not charge extra for alternative milk, which is AMAZING! The drink was so pretty with a few dried edible flower petals for garnish. I was impressed by the presentation alone, however, the drink was to die for! The espresso was rich and the milk was flavorful but not overpowering. It was a great balance of coffee, cherry, and cocoa. You can tell baristas put a lot of thought and effort into making the drinks. Specialty drinks range from about $7-8 and price tag is worth it for the quality! Inside is chic and inviting with different size table for chatting or working. It was quiet and inviting at 8:30 on a Thursday morning. I cannot wait to come back here and try more drinks!

Yelp
I've traveled quite a lot around the US, but this is my favorite coffee shop I've ever been to. Everything was perfectly done- the drinks were not too sweet (I usually get half sweet, but I did full sweet here), the flavors were strong and balanced, the syrups were house-made, and the coffee shop space itself felt grounding and clean. We got a smoked vanilla Hojicha latte and a pandan matcha latte, and both were absolutely perfect with great microfoam and flavor. Their cappuccino was also amazing. It's family owned and operated by at least two generations, and while I was there, the owner's mom was visiting from Indonesia. Service was above and beyond- I loved talking to them and hearing about their process. They even showed me a pandan plant in the shop! They grow the pandan and then process it to make house-made pandan syrup with no coloring agents. All of their syrups are house-made, including their smoked vanilla. This place is perfection.

Yelp
Wow this place is awesome! Like a coffee version of Banh and Butter in terms of the high quality blend of Asian influences in their ingredients! Ironically they also outsource some baked goods from Banh and Butter's Bakery. On top of that if you thought your sweet tooth wasn't already cured they even offer Parler Croissant Donuts. Now let's get to the matter at hand: their coffee. They have about 4 different unique syrups they create in house from scratch. We ordered the Pandan because it offers the perfect touch of sweetness and you can even see the Pandan plant they use to make it off to the side. My wife and I both ordered Oat Milk Pandan Lattes and not only was the syrup on point but the ratio of milk to coffee to syrup was exactly what you would want out of a well balanced drink. The service was also friendly. The owner, who we spoke to for quite a bit, and his son at the counter gave us a full run down of their offerings while still finding time to talk throughout the course of our visit. Having the chance to support a small business owned where every member of the family plays a part in growing the business is fun to watch. This combined with the unique Southeastern Asian influences they incorporate into their ingredients make for a perfect blend like their coffee.

Yelp
Coffeegraph is great for anyone seeking a peaceful spot to enjoy exceptional coffee. The rich, smooth brews are crafted with care, and the cozy, quiet atmosphere makes it perfect for journaling or unwinding. Natural light creates a relaxing space, while the friendly baristas provide warm, attentive service. Whether you need a moment of solitude or a thoughtful place to sip and reflect, this café is a must-visit.

Yelp
We loved the unique flavors of these coffees! The noir bliss was very nutty and flavorful. The pandan tasted a lot like toasted marshmallow. The workers were very nice in explaining all the unique menu offerings and making recommendations. It's easy to miss location wise, but definitely stop in if you can!

Yelp
They offer both your more traditional coffee shop drinks and flavors, with the addition of unique Indonesian inspired flavors and drinks. I tried the iced smoked vanilla latte with oatmilk which was really good! The service was very friendly, and they helped talk me through the menu and made recommendations to me since it was my first time visiting. They have a few seating options with some tables, a couple of loveseats, and small bar if you want to spend some time there catching up with a friend over coffee. There was plenty of street parking available, so I was able to easily find a spot right by the shop. I definitely will be returning, I think the next drink I want to try is the Noir Bliss latte!

Yelp
Stopped by for their grand opening weekend. Such a cute new coffee shop near my favorite party of town. I follow a few local places that posted about this mettre shop so I had to check it out. When I arrived, I easily found street parking. It's located in the corner of 3838th and Julian, down the street from my dentist! The owners greeted me as I entered the shop and were really available for any questions. They offer traditional coffee concoctions, but the star of the show is the Kopi Tubruk, and Indonesian-style coffee. As is something I hadn't tried before, I knew I had to get that one. Ample indoor seating is available, so I took a spot by the window while the coffee was being made, and the breakfast pastry, from Bahn & Butter, was warned up. In addition to coffee, they offer tea, and elixirs.

Yelp
Coffee's was GREAT, customer service was also amazing! If you're ever in the area you should definitely stop by! Also a great spot to sit and work or hang out for a bit.

Yelp
Yummy drinks, and great customer service! Would definitely comeback next time I'm in Colorado!

Yelp
A wonderful new coffee shop. They source their own beans, primarily from Indonesia. They roast locally. They use purified water then carefully remineralized. They make their own speciality syrups. The real deal. My tastes are more conventional, so I found their espresso very approachable with plenty of nuance but nothing crazy going on. Similarly, their drip option would be pleasing to many palettes. Their Kopi Tobruk is, as the blurb in the photo says, a full immersion process where the grounds naturally settle. It had a nice full texture and taste. Looking forward to returning to try other menu options.

Yelp
First time coming to Coffeegraph and will be coming back. If the rest of their menu is anything like the blue peppermint potion I'm trying everything. They have 3 Harry Potter themed drinks: butter rum snitch, mandrake apple spiced matcha and the blue peppermint potion. Parking is free on the street so you only pay for coffee!

Yelp
it took them 38 minutes to make 1 iced mocha. it wasn't even busy in there either. And then the guy offered me a free packet of instant ramen which was really weird too. The coffee was good but nothing amazing or worth the wait.

Yelp
A cozy place to get your coffee and hangout with friends. The staff were very friendly explaining all the different options. You can get a taste of Indonesia with their speciality syrup like aren or pandan. Will be back for more coffee.

Yelp
Great service, really good coffee, smooth and not bitter. The Hojicha latte also the best so far First class coffee and tea shop

Stephanie N.

Yelp
An amazing coffee experience! Came in for the seasonal Harry Potter drinks and was delighted to learn and have amazing service from the owners of this family business! If you are a coffee fanatic and love exploring exotic flavors you must smell and taste the pour-overs they offer. This coffee shop great ambiance and place to enjoy.

Yelp
I have tried a couple of their coffee based drinks and enjoyed each of them thoroughly. I found the coffee tonic really special and the good old Americano smooth, perfect to start the day. Love the vibe here too!

Yelp
A very cute new Indonesian coffee shop! Homemade syrups and delicious pasties! Great service and delicious coffee

Yelp
AMAZING coffee! I ordered a cappuccino and a pour over, both of which were very good. Family owned and operated - owners are extremely kind and well educated when it comes to coffee! First (and only) Indonesian coffee in Colorado! The interior was cozy and lots of seating - hours are also great to be able to work there.

Alexia D.

Yelp
Stopped here on a cozy snowy day just randomly found it on Apple Maps. Inside is beautiful, great service and good coffee! Not too sweet and not too strong with beautiful latte art! They say they've only been open for about a month come show them love!

Ashley R.

Yelp
I got the noir bliss. Delicious cozy drink without being a sugar bomb which I loved. I did add an espresso shot and Oat milk so it came out to about $10 which is a little steep. But still a great drink that I will come back for!

Jason O.

Yelp
Great new spot in highlands, a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I walked in a few days ahead of their grand opening thinking they were open. I was welcomed anyway. They were getting the storefront ready, but the coffee setup was in place. I got treated to a lesson in Indonesian coffee sourcing and an excellent latte like I haven't had before. Will wait for them to actually be open after next week, but will be back.
