Stopped in for breakfast and coffee as we were headed out of Blacksburg. Great vibe, and super friendly staff. A perfect spot to enjoy food, meet/talk with a friend, or do some work. If I lived nearby, I would definitely spend a lot of time here! The food was great, and they had such a wide selection of pastries. We had an apple cruffin (croissant/muffin hybrid) and also got some breakfast sandwiches. The sandwich with eggs and caramelized onions on brioche was really unique and delicious. The sausage egg and cheese was a classic done to perfection. Would definitely go back!

Hands down, the best coffee I have ever had—no question. If you love coffee, or even just like it, do yourself a favor and come here. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato, and with the very first sip, it felt like I was tasting coffee for the first time. Smooth, rich, perfectly balanced—absolutely delicious. There’s just no other way to describe it. This place doesn’t just serve coffee—it reminds you why you fell in love with it in the first place. I'd give it 6 or 10 stars if I could.

Disappointing chicken chipotle sandwich - tastes like sandwich bread not Italian bread. No avocado (they ran out). So basically bland chicken and cheese on white bread. Staff is friendly, the decor is trendy and location is great.

Very charming and nice place, but with a serious problem in how the execute. They keep taking orders when it's backed up, and then there's no one to make the coffee. We waited over 35 minutes for a late and a cold brew, and others were waiting the same if not longer. Would be a significant improvement to not take more orders then they can handle the make people wait as long. We saw only two employees working, and only the one was making coffee and taking orders. To their credit, they were apologetic

Tasty. Good custom lattes, fair selection of non dairy milks. Kind waitstaff. The dessert was delicious.

Like the food. Love the variation of menu. But I wish they use ceramic mug and plates, not plastics. Good food and good drinks they serve deserves better cups and plates.

This place came highly recommended as it’s right off Main Street and VT Campus. Ordered 6 drinks, as well as some bagels/sandwiches, and only got 2 punches on the rewards card. Hardly seems worth the money spent, especially when supplies were out and we had to Frankenstein the menu a bit. After ordering, baristas took 6 other orders and served them all before even starting on my order. Literally waited 35 minutes, which to me, is silly for a coffee house. Admittedly the service was slow and somewhat incompetent, but they were friendly and the product quality was good. So what would have been 0-1 stars gets a promotion to 2 stars. Easy fixes!!! Please fix your customer service! With a bit more attention and hustle, the product speaks for itself! Worth a return!

I absolutely loved the seasonal chai that I got, super fall and fresh. My sandwich was also delicious, even for it being so simple. I found that there was such a good amount of seating inside and outside, comfy, and relaxing. I had a great time and would recommend for anyone looking for a good cup of coffee! Not sure if you're looking for a quick cup, but definitely something more elevated then a Starbucks

Great Coffee shop in a great space. love the outdoor seating. they have an amazing pastry selection, and very nice seating in the shop as well. Staff was super friendly and made drinks quickly. I would definitely recommend a coffee stop here.

Perhaps the worst latte I've ever had... For sure makes the podium! This is more of a sugar, flavored caffeinated beverage shop... Not really for coffee drinkers. It's always difficult to understand how people can serve this product.

Coffee and tea shop with a wide menu and large cafe space with plenty of seating for studying or working. I got an oatmilk flat white and asked for the size that comes with 2 shots ($5.70). This turned out to be the 16oz size, which tasted kind of watery (maybe because of whatever brand oatmilk they use) and the coffee itself was also not good. I also tried the double chocolate chip muffin ($3.35) which was okay. Service was prompt, but the cafe wasn't the cleanest (lots of crumbs under the table). Overall I would go somewhere else instead if I have the option.

Love this place!! It's so adorable inside with so much seating for hanging out or studying. The employees are always so friendly and bubbly! Service is so so so fast I've tried a different drink every time and have always loved it. This one is a s'mores latte from their seasonal menu and I highly recommend. Also got their French toast doussant and it's my new favorite food ever

Super cute place. Plenty of seating inside or outside to enjoy your purchase. I went two days in a row during our visit to Virginia Tech. The coffees are good and there are additional food items on the menu. We only tried the creels but everything looked yummy. The creel was a nice sweet treat that we all enjoyed. The staff is friendly and if there is a line it goes quickly. The area was neat and clean. I'll be back the next time we come to VT.

We were in town, visiting for VT's parent's weekend. We waited in line for breakfast for 45 minutes. When we made it to the front to order, the woman informed us that they were backed up and that our breakfast sandwiches would take 45 minutes. I urged them to tell the people that were currently in line that same information. They did not. 75 minutes later we got our sandwiches. Previously, we had gone to a different breakfast place and their wait time to be seated was 55 minutes. We had that information and made a decision to go to another place. I'm sure that if most of those people who waited in line had known that breakfast would take 2 hours that most would have made another decision for breakfast. Coffeeholics does not value time in the way that most do. I would discourage others from going, unless all you have is time.

It's a cold day in Blacksburg and we wanted a hot drink. I walked by this place so many times when it was a hookah lounge. It's a pretty big space with a couple couches in the back and even an electric fireplace mounted on the wall. It was very festive for the holidays with a list of seasonal drinks. My girlfriend ordered a gingerbread latte that she loved and I had a chai latte. She loved hers and mine was pretty good too. Joe was friendly and helpful. They even have a lot punch card where every 10th drink is free. There is free WiFi and several places where you could plug in a laptop.

Atmosphere is cozy! Lovely holiday decorations. Jo made our drinks and was super friendly. I got a gingerbread latte and it wasn't too sweet. Perfect little place to relax.

First time trying this popular coffee spot in downtown Blacksburg. It was game day... so I'm sure the owners anticipated heavy traffic. When we walked in, we noticed that all the trash cans were overflowing to the point where the trash littered the floors around the cans. Trash was literally EVERYWHERE! Only 2 unbathed exhaustedly stunned workers behind the counter trying to keep up. My daughter ordered a coffee drink which took 35 minutes to receive and I ordered 4 pastries to take home to try. All the pastries were days old... they were so stale that they were the consistency of hockey pucks. Into the trash they went. Truly disgusted and shocked that they were so understaffed and LORT what a filthy place! Gag!

there was only two people working, but one of them kept on taking orders even though there were NO JOKE 30 TICKETS waiting to be made. We walked out after an hour and a half of waiting on two iced coffees. Why tf are you still taking orders???

The straights can't make good coffee, go to bollos instead. They forgot about my order and I was waiting for over an hour for a very simple sandwich while other customers came and went although they kept insisting the kitchen was just "backed up". The bathrooms were also incredibly gross, overflowing trash cans, diaper change table in complete disarray, years worth of crud build up on appliances. Even if my order had come timely, the food and ambiance are poor. I'm not sure why people seem to be so loyal to this place.

Coffee was tasty. Served was very nice. The scones we tasty. Ambiance was pleasant and clean.

I've gone to coffeeholics quite consistently in the almost two years I've lived in the area, and there are great things about it and things that could improve. The food and drinks themselves are always really good, and their seasonal specials are creative. However, the service always varies and sometimes it's excellent and fast, sometimes it takes 30 minutes to get a drink or they forget your order. I don't go if I'm in a rush I'll tell you that. Also, the trash cans are consistently overflowing and the women's bathroom has been out of service for at least a few months. It's frustrating to deal with, I'm happy to use the men's as they are single stalls but the owners need to just bite the bullet and call a plumber. I genuinely am willing to put up with these things for the food, but yall have got to get some things together. I highly suspect this is the manager's or owner's fault rather than the staff.

Where is the ZERO STARS button when you need it?? So serious. 0 Stars for not being able to get back the one hour of my life they wasted. I would say 99.99% of our experience here was a thumbs-down. Perhaps the ONLY positive was that it was centrally located and the place was near empty when we walked in mid afternoon (on a Saturday! In hindsight, that should have been a sign...) so we were able to snag a table (but the table was filthy and the whole time we were there, not once did any worker go around to wipe down tables). TLDR: if you go in and there's any kind of line to order or even if there are people standing around waiting for their order OR if they ask you if it's ok that the food will take 20 minutes because they're so busy, HIGHTAIL IT OUT OF THERE! ABORT ORDER IMMEDIATELY. It's a lie. Walk out the door and go to Squires Student Center Au Bon Pain or to Benny Marzano's steps away for a big slice and call it a day. Even just ordering their coffee drinks (which took literally 20 minutes to make and were lukewarm when we got them) is not worth the wait. There was no excuse for the INSANELY SLOW SERVICE and the wait they put us through. Lesson learned boys. Actually, their excuse when we went up to the counter / pick up area for the FIFTH TIME to check on our order was this: "we're still running behind and there's only one person back there making food. It'll be another 5 or 10 minutes." Wait what? There was virtually no one in the place and no line to order. We seriously looked around for the cameras because we thought we were being punk'd. If that's how good service is on a non busy afternoon (on a Saturday mind you!), then I don't even want to imagine what it's like when this place gets even a little busy. Here's the thing: our food order (3 people) was just a bacon egg cheese bfast sandwich (nbd), a grilled cheese sandwich (nbd) and a toasted bagel with cream cheese (nbd x 100)! Not rocket science. IT LITERALLY TOOK 40 MINUTES TO GET OUR ORDER. One person is running the register and taking orders, one person manning the coffee machine and making drinks and one person in the back making the food. And try as they might (and frankly, they weren't even trying), they couldn't get it right. The inside has an industrial vibe, good number of tables and a big picture window in the front of the store which helps brighten up the inside - but as I said, the tables were filthy and of course with the 3 workers behind the counter trying to keep it together (poorly I might add), no one was tending to the front of house. Not even an occasional walkthrough. The too-tiny trash cans were all overflowing with trash, styrofoam boxes and coffee cups to the point that people were leaving their trash in the dirty dishes return area. Food and Drinks. The berry smoothie was just ok. The coffee drinks were flavorful but, what's the point, they were both lukewarm. The bacon egg cheese bfast sando was fine. At least it was warm. The grilled cheese sandwich though was a JOKE - it had panini grill marks on it but yet, if you looked at the inside of the sandwich, the cheese was barely if at all melted. And, the sandwich was tiny. To add insult to injury, after the 40 minute wait for our food order, it didn't come with the chips that it was supposed to come with! My colleague said no way he would ask for the chips at that point - he was scared they would take his box back and he wouldn't see it again for another 40 minutes so he just let it go lol. We sat in the shop and ate our meals...then my friend who had been STARVING when we arrived and who was the one who ordered the bagel with cream cheese (check out the cream cheese they give you with the bagel in my pic - facepalm) AND WAITED 40 MINUTES TO GET IT, scarfed her meal down and declared she was still hungry! So we left this sad little excuse of a place and headed over to Squires where we got more food at Au Bon Pain (that we all laughed and commented looked way better than the food we had just eaten). And then, for the rest of the day and into the evening, we proceeded to make fun of this place because it was such a joke of an experience that...how could you not?! We were iso a cool indie non-chain coffee shop in B'burg and if this place got its real act together and fixed its service issues SIGNIFICANTLY (like I mean spit out the drink orders while the drinks are still piping hot for one thing, figure out how to crank out sandwiches before customers starve to death and how to scale operations when it's busy), this place could make a killing. Or maybe the next proprietor who comes along after this place shuts down will get it right. Oof...yes, I did just say that. PS The Farmer's Market was hoppin' and we strolled through it before coming here and, in hindsight, regretted not ordering at the indie coffee stand and picking up awesome smelling pasta and cool flavored muffins, homemade bread and baked goods from those vendors. Oh well next time, lesson learned!

Never go here if you want your waffle breakfast sandwich sooner than 2 hours after you order it. Cute place but it took SO long and if it wasn't a Sunday I would not have gotten my food :((

I've visited Coffeeholics more than a few times over the past year. Their bakery items are tasty, fresh, and nice-looking. We've tried more than a few beverages and haven't been disappointed. Staff are nice and helpful. I was a little disappointed in the selection and availability of their fresh brew that last visit. Took about 20 minutes for a cup of coffee.

Thank you, Matthew! After a stressful morning and finally looking for lunch far too late, you were such a ray of hope. Your suggestion of the chicken salad sandwich was delicious, and I feel so much better than when I walked in the door.

FRIENDS WITH ALLERGIES BEWARE. They do not properly label their baked good and food. One bite of food and my girlfriend immediately had a reaction. Bollos across the street labels their food CLEARLY.

Low quality coffee with off the shelf syrups. Food is equally unimpressive and overpriced. Nearly every chair aside from the couches is uncomfortable and almost every table is wobbly. Slanted floors make this worse. Service is very friendly and ambiance would be great if not for the poor music choices. I appreciate the abundance of outlets but nearly every one is loose. Incredible potential to be the perfect study and hang out spot based on the design and location but falls short due to lazy execution. A coffee shop cannot be carried by vibes alone.

Love how spacious the coffee shop is, and there's tons of seating without it feeling too crowded. I had the Tatto and it was very yummy and flavorful. I had a grilled cheese panini here, and it was overpriced because it was $7 for a grilled cheese that wasn't melted completely. However I loved the service -- the baristas were super friendly, and I can see myself studying here more often.

Terrible experience. Cashier was extremely rude and sassy. I ordered a smoothie and she rolled her eyes because it apparently takes a long time to make. Do not order food from here. I was waiting for 45 minutes to then realize the cashier never even put my food order in the system. Multiple customers had to get refunded because their food was taking too long.

Firstly, I'll start off my saying that this coffeeshop is really nice and cute. It definitely is a cozy place to pop by and study. Along with this, the staff is super nice and friendly as well as accommodating. However, that's about it. It seems that they're having a hard time keeping staff since I haven't seen some of my favorite staff members for a while. Along with this, when I came in TWICE this week, there was only one person visible making coffee orders and food. That's absolutely ridiculous knowing when I come on Saturday there are usually a good amount of people working. However, the service this week has been so slow and I feel bad for the workers. The food is also overpriced and not worth it. It also takes forever so don't come for lunch. The coffee is not that good for the extra high price tag with it. There also aren't very many vegetarian and vegan options so I would beware before you come. Overall, I wouldn't recommend. It doesn't seemed managed well and the food and coffee is just average for the high price tag. Save your money and go else where.

Stopped by for the first time today and was definitely impressed! Mark, the barista working today, was very friendly and made our order with haste and care. A nice, affordable option within walking distance of VT and downtown that has a cozy atmosphere.

I went and just got a cold brew and it was a very short wait time and the employees were so friendly and nice to converse with!! The cold brew was very strong and delicious!! They have a lot of great options!! I will definitely be coming back soon to try new things!!!

I absolutely LOVE this place. It has the best Belgian waffle and muffin I've had. And of course their coffee is amazing. Fast service from their friendly staff. I love the atmosphere and seating areas. Definitely my favorite coffee place in town.

I got the Fix and I loved. Very smooth. The atmosphere feels like an underground coffee shop. Will definitely study here!
