The waiters didn’t attend to us as nicely as they attended to non-black patrons. Prices as presented on the bill were higher than shown on the menu. They don’t include sides so they sneak them in for a pretty hefty fee, and the waiters don’t even alert you to the little trick. The options for drinks are limited. And I had the worst ‘Malawi shandy’ (pictured) Nice place though

Grilled chicken ages well with good spices. If you dip it into the garlic sauce, it is super 👍 The restaurant looks a antique classic house, giving off the mood that you are eating out in the 19th century. I do not recommend fish though.

A local restaurant owner suggested Coimbra solely on the basis of its garlic sauce -- which was amazing. We arrived early and the restaurant quickly filled up. We ordered grilled chicken and chips and chicken giblets. Again, the sauces here were excellent, and the chicken was tender as well. Cost-wise, it's good value and comparable to restaurants serving similar fare. Service was very friendly and the kitchen is very quick. We'll definitely return!

Coimbra Restaurant, Harare Zimbabwe. A nice unassuming restaurant in a tree shaded location. Their specialty is Portuguese food. The menu is limited but a well chosen repertoire. We enjoyed the steaks. Generous servings. We asked for medium rare and the chef did it spot on. Do try their garlic butter. Superb. There was a reasonable choice for vegetarians too. Service was quick and efficient. Cheerful, helpful staff. Prices were reasonable.

I visited Coimbra restaurant, and their half chicken is the best. My colleague recommended it, and I think it's the best chicken I have ever tested. Their peri-peri and garlic sauce on their delicious bread is a fantastic starter! The garlic and per peri sauce on their half chicken just makes the best combo. I will definitely visit again.

That steak is to die for. Best Steak in that side of town and the atmosphere is bliss, calming and very conducive to dig into the food. Food was hot, delicious, tender with a burst of flavour. Service was quick, friendly staff and very attentive. Overall my experience is a 10.

Clean place...Fast service...Great portions.. Decent prices on the half chicken selection. Enjoyed the complementary breads, gravy and garlic. Guard at the door gives a nice welcome... Some waiters a little sour but they're fast. Reservations required...fills up quick

This is my favourite restaurant in the entire world. I first came in 1995 as a young child, and have come since. Nothing like it, on the planet.
