Best £10 Cocktails In London - London - The Infatuation

"Generally speaking, pubs don’t always nail cocktails. Jäger bombs are excluded from this narrative, sorry. But Clerkenwell’s Coin Laundry is one of those laid-back modern pubs where you won’t care if it’s a bar, pub, or international space station once you’ve had a few sips of the raspberry and pepper vermouth-packed CL negroni. The main pub space is perfect for a spot of day drinking or gathering up every member of your WhatsApp group. If you’re after something a little more intimate, head downstairs to the basement area." - heidi lauth beasley

Coin Laundry Review - Clerkenwell - London - The Infatuation

"The name Coin Laundry might be triggering for you if your washing basket looks anything like ours. It’s okay though. There’s no need to be afraid. This laidback bar/pub/restaurant is actually a chilled place to go to for some decent British food. Swing-by at lunch for some top flatbread or chicken broth, and get a little merry. Come in the evening, bring friends, have some whipped beetroot, the pork belly cheeseburger, and get a lot merry. There’s also a basement bar area that’s perfect for an after work cocktail, a lowkey birthday, or a Sunday afternoon game of Scrabble. photo credit: Coin Laundry" - Heidi Lauth Beasley

I was lucky enough to photograph a beautiful wedding reception in your space and it was just incredible. The staff were so lovely and helpful, the food was exceptional - accommodating a variety of dietary requirements, and prepared freshly and came out quickly (something you definitely want for your wedding reception!) the spaces lend themselves beautifully for some casual outside hanging out, a lovely inside bar area, and a basement perfect for a party. All that plus an excellent location, I will definitely be recommending it to my couples in the future.

We had a fantastic private hire experience. Having the place to ourselves for our freelance community xmas lunch. Amazing food & the team were so helpful. It has such a great vibe. I also tried it out before mid-week evening a few months before and it had a great atmosphere, again delicious food.

We were there for a wedding so had the entire upstairs booked out. A beautiful rustic look and the food served was fab, only one tiny thing...watery gravy 😄 Downstairs later for the reception party was also quite nice, comfy sofas for seating. Again the only small gripe was it could get a little cold down there. Otherwise a lovely venue for a smaller size wedding and the staff were really nice too.

We really recommend Coin Laundry for your next big event, small gathering, after work drinks or last minute lunch. We had our wedding reception, including three course meal, speeches, evening food, DJ and wedding band at Coin Laundry in May this year. From beginning to end, the team were incredibly professional, friendly, passionate and detail oriented. No question was too small (or big) and they all shared fast, considered responses. Ahead of the wedding, one of my bridesmen and I shifted our weekly hang out from another pub to the Coin Laundry so we spent a lot of time there, across various months and times of day. So I can say with complete confidence that the team is endlessly consistent and persistent in their efforts to provide best in class service and food. I loved the team at Coin Laundry and they made our day so special. I hope everyone spends their wedding day with them. Thanks CL team - we love you!

We held our wedding reception at Coin Laundry and it was absolutely perfect! All of the food & drinks were delicious and had great reviews from our guests, the space looked wonderful and evening DJ was brilliant. The staff were all super helpful and friendly throughout all the planning and provided amazing service on the day itself. We loved every minute of it and can't wait to come back for another visit. Lovely atmosphere foody pub, hosting a range of events. Went for a work Xmas social and the quality of food for the group of 20 was impressive - even the turkey! Ox cheek was tear away melt in your mouth and really well presented. Sticky toffee pudding was beautifully balanced, not too heavy or sweet & topped with a lovely oat crunchy to give a lovely melody of texture. 👌

Absolutely amazing food and service! This place gives you some great vibes and I can definitely say that I'll be returning. We got some quesadillas to start with (which were absolutely amazing), and then I went with the roasted courgette salad with feta and fries on the side. Loved the flavours of the courgette and lentil salad which left me wanting more! Next time I'll try the mushroom burger which was a success across other people in our table!

Had a really lovely evening at the Coin Laundry. The food surprised me, it was giving gastropub vibes which I was not expecting. The braised ox cheek with mash was a delight, the flavour of the gravy could be improved + perhaps some pickled cabbage or a sweet accompaniment. My friend’s really enjoyed the pork belly and the Seabass. The burger was a miss. The starters were decent - can’t go wrong with some padron peppers. We had a lovely waitress and in general Coin Laundry seems to be the vibe locally. I spent just under £40 with 1 mocktail, my friends who had wine + cocktails spent just under £60.
