"Take a seat on the lively terrace at the front or opt for the authentic interior, and let your mind drift off to exotic Thailand. Here you can enjoy typical dishes such as sweet and sour spring rolls with crunchy vegetables and a spicy aubergine and pepper curry. Crisp, fresh produce, authentic flavours and respect for tradition make this a great place to eat." - Michelin Inspector

Around the world in Istanbul

"As expected, this is an authentic take on Thai cuisine, serving sea bass steamed whole and flavoured with chilli, ginger, garlic and lime, finished with a fish stock infused with soy and lime leaf. The spring rolls deliver a hit of quintessential Thai spiciness that you should definitely try." - MICHELIN Guide

Right in the middle of Istanbul, Turkiye.. Thailand .. amazing food, amazing service Çok Çok Thai !! Highly recommend this place!! Yilmaz .. what can I say, he was so fantastic - amazing service from start to finish! I love me some margarita and Eren made an amazing one !! The rice paper rolls were so refreshing with the mint sauce The satay chicken so clean and tender Tom yum soup .. the best I’ve ever had - chef at Çok Çok Thai worked for the Thai Royal family - and you can definitely tell. The Pad Thai was sooo light and tasty. We finished with Jasmine tea and biscoff cheesecake .. oh my .. I have no words .. was sooo amazing😊🥰🧿 Total approx $190 AUD .. Absolutely worth it .. anyone saying it isn’t .. they be a hater😊

The atmosphere is lovely, staff is wholesome. Definitely revived the yearning to go back to Thailand 😅🥰 we had a lovely date here. The bill was fatter than expected ( id say 30% more than similar restaurants ( Considering the pad thai was not up to par , I expected a richer juicier/sticky texture but it was watery that dries when picked up ) but the experience, ambiance and friendly staff made up for it sort of (Their cocktails are on point 🍸)

Google
Fresh produce, excellent taste with starter and main meal. Also had Long Island cocktail which was on point. Very rare to experience an establishment with fresh produce and very well made drinks. Definitely recommend if staying in Istanbul.

The food was Ok, I’ve had better Thai food. But it wasn’t bad. But the service was really bad, at one point it was really crowded and I think the kitchen wasn’t really ready for this crowd. We had to wait a minimum of 35minutes for our appetizers, which in my opinion shouldn’t be that long. Not even talking about the wrong orders… but we didn’t make a problem of it, since we didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes for the main dish. Thankfully they were aware of the very long waiting time, so they offered complimentary drinks. Price/quality ratio was Ok.

I wish I could give a rating of -1 for my overall experience. For a restaurant that has been awarded a Michelin star for three years in a row, it was truly disappointing. When we walked in, the place was chaotic. The staff couldn’t find our reservation and asked us to go to the second floor, but no one guided us to our table. After about three minutes, an older gentleman finally pointed out which tables were available. While ordering, the staff kept interrupting me and seemed impatient. As for the food, it was extremely average. The Pad Thai was tasteless and completely lacked the key elements of traditional Thai cuisine — like fish sauce and wok aroma. It was also clear that they were short-staffed, as we had to ask three times just to get our bill. Overall, I’m genuinely surprised that this restaurant still holds a Michelin star, because my experience was worse than at most average street restaurants. Michelin, please reexamine this place!

The food was not bad and ok but I tasted better thai food. Still great option for those how crave thai food.

Google
I would’ve rated it 5 if we had a great customer service, the waiter (the old man) was so rude to us, first he asked if we had reservation which we didn’t but it wasn’t a problem since there was available tables, then he said it’s a michelin star restaurant and implied that we can’t afford to eat there!! he kept asking if we’re sure to come in(?) then he refused to arrange a table for 7 people and insisted we sit separately which we did eventually. It was very rude for a “michelin” restaurant worker to act that way, it’s a michelin guide award btw not a star. As for the food, it was very very delicious we enjoyed every bit of it although we got one order wrong twice and the same dish came late, we finished eating and our dish wasn’t ready, it came at the last minute. Nonetheless great food and i would like to thank the thai waitress for her hospitality and welcoming attitude.

Yelp
I love Thai food. My very favorite. This was the worst Thai experience I've ever had yesterday. I am mostly vegan and asked the waiter why the red and green curries were not vegan. (Do they contain egg?) He went off on some unintelligibe rant about chili crisps that made no sense. He clearly had no understanding of the difference between vegan and vegetarian. My wife ordered mushroom soup. I ordered red curry with tofu. We also ordered the tofu satay. After 55 minutes the food arrived. Her soup was not correct, had no mushrooms, and was the wrong kind altogether. My curry had no tofu. The waiter then argued with me that I ordered veggies instead of tofu. My wife's "corrected" soup came out 5 minutes later and was basically salty water with mushrooms in it. The portions were small and nothing was very good at all. We also ordered still water, one beer, and one whiskey, neat. The entire bill was just under 4,000 Turkish Lira, or ~$100USD. Insanely expensive for what was provided. We knew ahead of time it was expensive, and wanted something non-Turkish after eating strictly Turkish food for ~10 days, but this was just awful. Avoid at all costs. We could have had a great fine dining experience for much less money.

Yelp
Giving this place 2 stars for even existing. Sunday, restaurant is close for dining in. We decided to order to take out. Gentleman who took our order was kind. He assured us that they had Vegan options. Great! Lady ordered coconut curry soup with veggies, peanut curry with veggies, veggie egg rolls and jasmine rice. I ordered my go to green curry with chicken, Tom Yum soup with prawns. Also, veggie egg rolls. We were excited to eat food that we both are very familiar with. As we got back to our Air BnB, we were ready to try Thai food in Istanbul. Let's just say, we tried it! Everything was fresh. However, the flavor is not it! It's not making that home run. It has the flavors of the beginning of a dish but doesn't quite take you home. However, we didn't have much expectations. The worse part about it, is the two soggy order of egg rolls we had. It is common sense not to air tight seal fried food. Worse egg rolls ever! Waste of money for to go. Over all, it's nice to know they have Thai food, but I'm sure they can get a good chef to really make authentic Thai food! The ingredients are there. This place is over priced. I don't think we will come back to dine in as I originally planned for date night.

Yelp
We had a great experience for dinner here. The ambiance outside is nice and location is great for walking around after dinner. The food was very good. We got a chicken curry which was very flavorful. The pad Thai was also good but a little underseasoned for my taste. We also got papaya salad which was excellent. I would definitely go back and highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Very cozy spot for being near such a busy street. It was also the best Thai food I have ever eaten in my life. Very deserving of the Michelin star. The pad Thai, green curry, fried prawns, and beef stir fry were incredible. Definitely try this place out if you are in beyoglu.

Yelp
If you're a Thai food enthusiast, then this place might end up being a little disappointing. For me, I am grateful that this place exists in a city with so few Thai options. The pad Thai is pretty good and the fried spring rolls are excellent! I love coming here because the service is always impeccable. The staff speaks English and they are always so kind! This is one place I will come back to again and again while living in Istanbul.

Yelp
My family and I wanted a break from Turkish food so we found this Thai restaurant and I'm sooo glad we went! We ordered the fresh spring rolls, the fried veggie spring rolls, pineapple fried rice, the coconut milk and chicken soup (tom ka kai), the green curry chicken, and the beef with oyster sauce and peppers. All 4 of us were very happy with our food. Personally the soup had way too much lemongrass for my liking and had a lot of chicken fat and skin that I picked out (it added nice flavor though). So I probably wouldn't order the soup again. But we loved the pineapple fried rice and the green curry and beef and would order those again. The waiter was very attentive and welcoming. And they offered to close the door for us when it got too warm outside. So overall they were very accommodating and nice. The food came out very quickly as well. I would recommend this place!

Yelp
Çokçok Thai is the bomb! The chef is a master. His dishes we absolutely phenomenal. Çokçok is relatively expensive by Turkish standards (30tl/$10 for a main dish, 20tl/$7 for an appetizer, and 15tl/$5 for beer) but it is well worth it. I can't imagine a better Thai Restaurant in Istanbul or in Turkey as a whole. Highly recommend checking them out if you are in Istanbul and in the mood for Thai.

Yelp
Congratulations, ÇokÇok, you're doing it right! First and foremost I would like to congratulate the waitstaff for being extremely attentive to our needs and patient(!!) as we deliberated for what could have been hours about what we wanted. Well. We finally ordered after lots of help and I couldn't be happier. I got a curried Tofu dish which I was so overjoyed about (I haven't had tofu in years). It was perfect. The soup I ordered also hit the spot - the Tom Ka Kai, It was coconutty and spicy and all things good. We also ordered lovely green tea that was so nicely presented. I was very impressed. My co-worker ordered a beef dish that, although she enjoyed it, looked a bit boring to me. I'm glad I got the curry but will try something with noodles next time. Price wise, yeah, it's pricey. Main dishes are in the 25-40TL price range, but for what you get, I think it's totally affordable. The fact is that the place is very authentic and really is a culinary experience. One HUGE drawback though is that they don't always have Thai Iced Tea. The waiter said they sometimes have it, but it's not on the menu. I'm skeptical. Anyway I would go back again for a special meal and/or if I'm craving some of those hard-to-find ingredients.

Yelp
I have eaten a lot of Thai in my life, so my expectations were a bit high, especially considering that this restaurant has won awards. Came here one evening while on vacation as my friend and I wanted a break from Turkish food. It was definitely overpriced, but that was expected since we were eating ethnic food in a different country (this seems to be a trend). Anyway, first of all, I do have to say that ambiance is nice. Very relaxing with modern decorations and mood lighting. However, there were some issues with the speakers and we kept hearing the static noise of someone trying to fix them - this definitely distracted from the meal. Service was good and attentive. There was a small mistake in my order (I ordered fried not white rice) but they fixed it fairly efficiently. My issue was more with the food itself. My tom yum soup was extremely tart and lemony with whole lemongrass pieces and just an overall unbalanced flavor. I ate as much of it as I could, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. For my main, I ordered the cashew chicken and fried rice. The chicken itself was fine in terms of texture, but the overall dish was very bland. I was truly disappointed. In the end, we paid somewhere between $30-$40 per person for a mediocre meal.

Yelp
This place is only for tourists can't put up with Turkish food. The taste is okay but highly overpriced. However since there aren't so much choices around here, I have to say it's the best you can get.

Yelp
Not recommended! Not even close to taste Thai. AND when the owner defends the lousy taste, I cannot see improvements in the near future. Stay clear! And btw I know Thai food first hand. For this restaurant, no excuses!

Yelp
Nice place, very attentive Thai waitress but the food is quite average, especially the Tom Yam Koong tasted more like sour water with mushrooms then the delicious ones I had when I lived in Asia...
google avatar

Yelp
Authentic Thai cuisine with a very nice atmosphere. Waitress from Bangkok was a nice touch. We had Thai iced teas, Tom Som, and Pad Kra Prow Kai for lunch. Bill came to around $40.

Yelp
Çokçok is the one of the greatest representatives of Thai cuisine in Istanbul. In fact, it was chosen twice as the best Asian restaurants in Istanbul' by Turkey's prominent gourmets. Some very special recipes from Thai cuisine meets with an authentic decoration and unique architecture at Çokçok and it gets difficult not to have good experience here.

Yelp
We had the Phad Thai. Not that great. I am also used to American Phad Thai so the flavor is a bit different but this had a strange after taste. Probably wouldn't go again.

Sw w.

Yelp
The curries were good. Beware the "sea bass" we ordered was really tilapia. The "fried rice" was really white rice with a table spoon if broccoli and carrot added. Apparently the bartender if off on Mondays too.

Diego C.

Yelp
The food and the service were ok until they brought the check and were including a 10% "service fee", which I refused to pay. They try to copy the American tipping culture, so they were nice until I realized about this fee and asked them to remove it from the price. They can include the service fee im the price, even though this place is already pricey for why it offers.

Yelp
The starters were great I had the chicken satay with the peanut sauce... Delish! Then the Salmon curry, excellent. The green tea cheesecake was also great. Go and have Thai in Istanbul.
