Free parking, take cards, free wifi but need password. No pass needed for cava wifi. Very nice and clean decor. Plenty of patio seats, clean individual bathrooms! Free self served water station. Food is a bit pricy but food.

Great food and friendly service with plenty of seating both inside and out! It's a bit pricey but the food quality more than makes up for it. The food here is excellent. I've had the cuban, the santiago bowl, and the empanadas which were all excellent. The variety and changing menu during the seasons is a nice touch. For drinks, they have a good selection of cafes and smoothies along with cocktails. The miami sunset and mojitos are worth trying!

The sliders were delicious! I was afraid that I was eating them too fast. Pina colada went well with it 💕 I wanted a casual night alone reading my book with drinks peacefully on Saturday evening. I was a bit surprised that there were not many people between 7-9 pm and felt rushed to leave 8-8:30. Perhaps I come another night for a quick drink but a little earlier with my girl friends.

A fantastic Cuban café perfect for catching up with a friend or getting some work done. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly, attentive staff that welcome menu questions. The food is flavorful and thoughtfully prepared—whether you’re indulging in a scrumptious guava pastry, enjoying a fresh and vibrant salad, or sipping on a bold Cuban coffee. Plus, the rotating display of local artwork available for purchase adds a creative touch that makes the space feel even more special.

My Cuban sandwich was delicious. The supervisor Ale and cashier Oliver were very hospitable. The decor is beautiful. Also outdoor seating with cute lights. Pictured is half my sandwich. I took one bite and didn’t stop until I ate the entire half. —update 2 years later: Ale is -still- very warm! I love the atmosphere here. The Cocolada pictured was delicious.

I’ve never had Colada coffee before and heard it was really good so I tried it out. Had it deliver to. I got the cafe con leche and the blue matcha drink. The cafe con leche was okay, nothing special. The blue matcha tasted like straight up milk, not something that I would order again. Perks is if you want a pretty drink, you got it. Would try this place again but maybe I’ll order another drink to try!

So this is my second time here and I went for the Cuban sandwich as a piña colada. I’m not sure why I keep coming back because the first time we came here the food was awful. But I said, let me give it a try. Maybe it’s also because I’m comparing it to a Cuban place in the airport of Orlando, which is amazing. The Cuban sandwich itself I felt like the bread wasn’t crispy or toasted enough. It was very oily and greasy overall and just didn’t have that flavor that I was looking for. As well, I decided hey it’s Friday. Let me try a piña colada. It has so much alcohol in it that I couldn’t even drink half of it. It was also very expensive two sandwiches one to go for my partner, my sandwich and a drink, and it came out to like 60 bucks not worth it

I am struggling to figure out why this place does not have a 4.5+ on yelp....a true hidden gem! We DoorDashes from the Colada Shop to try it on a whim and wow...were we taken by surprise. In my experience it's common to not get the best service through food delivery apps, so our expectations were not set high for this at all. However they blew us away! We tried... The Cuban sandwich, and it was a pretty good standard cuban! The Guava Bbq sandwich was sooo good! The guava really made the sandwich something special! The Chicken empanadas...amazing! Perfectly cooked & seasoned. The sauce they came with was the cherry on top! A Breakfast empanadas were a hit with my husband! He absolutely devoured them! The Churros were so light and fluffy! The fry was perfect! & the Tres leche was an amazing way to finish! Light and delicious!!! We will definitely be going in person! Best door dash find ever!!!!

The Colada Shop needs more staff. My friend and I came over after having lunch at Sisters Thai on a Thursday afternoon for a drink. We sat at the bar next to someone who was working on the computer and though it was quiet, the two staff members behind the bar were losing their minds. They told us that it would be best to order off of the QR code-- this was a mistake. Mainly because if you order off of the code you can't really renege on your decision. We would have left if we didn't already order because it took them 38 minutes to make our drinks. We were literally right in front of them and they kept taking peoples orders at the front and did not even look at the QR printouts that were to the right hand side of the bar-- we could hear them printing, but they were never checking them. They seem a bit unorganized and understaffed. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I would have reimbursed us, provided a gift card for future use or gave us another drink on the house.

Went to Colada to grab a late lunch and enjoy the nice day and it was exactly what I needed. I love restaurants where I get to order from a QR code on the table. I sat outside in their patio area which was super comfortable and they had tons of seating. The inside was also super cute- it's definitely more on the casual end. I had the guava mimosa which was amazing. I also had the ham and cheese croquette with the mojo pork rice bowl. Both were also great. I recommend this spot for lunch or a casual date. It is also great for a solo date to sit out and read a book.

Great ambiance, service and vibes! My friend and I visited after the gym and ordered happy hour drinks and chicken empanadas. The empanadas were okay, i wish they had a bit more flavor but they were crispy! The drinks were delicious. Happy hour was until 7 and i believe i got the tamarind mimosa and my friend got the pineapple tamarind cider. The drinks were pretty and the ambiance of the place is gorgeous. When i posted the outdoor area on ig people thought i was in Tulum, Mexico. I'll definitely return for happy hour and to try other menu items

We came here with my dad. He was born in Cuba, so we know a bit about Cuban food. The "ropa vieja" is the best option, but it does not come with black beans, which is a requirement in my book. You have to order that separately. Although I cannot eat the Cuban sandwich due to my gluten intolerance, I have heard that is a great option as well. My wife tried the pork and hated it - she said it tasted like boiled meat. My dad also loves the guava pastries - again, due to the gluten, I have no idea myself. So 5 stars for the ropa vieja and Cuban sandwich, but a loss of two stars for not including the black beans and for the bad pork.

Such a cute Cuban cafe with delicious food. I loved their beef empanadas, the chicken empanadas can be a bit a dry. They also have vegetarian empanadas which are delicious! One of my favorites is their roasted beef sliders which come with a fried plantain...seriously too good! On these hot summer days, go for a pina colada and some plantain chips with black bean dip!

Phenomenal Cuban Coffee Shop & Restaurant Beautiful murals with warm colors, iconic delicious food, strong coffee and delicious drinks, that transport you to the tropical waters of the Caribbean Island of Cuba. If you are in the mood for the welcoming atmosphere and warm embrace of island culture, this is the perfect place for you. My favorite is the Cuban Sandwich --made with the perfect texture bread, 2 types of pork, the best cheese and topped off with the most delicious amazing mustard. They also have the best appetizers-- I adore the samplers, which gives you a chance to try out all the different types of island snacks. They also have juices, teas and coffee. I love their ever changing seasonal alcoholic drinks, they keep their drinks menu fun and fresh. They also offer the taste of the Caribbean in a healthier salad form, which I enjoy occasionally. If you love good food and friendly people, this should be a foodie goal for this coming year, with locations in DC, Maryland and Virginia. Take care and eat well.

I love coming for one thing - the pina colada LOL. And maybe their croquettes, but I really enjoy their beverages.

I ordered a catering platter for my job's potluck. The delivery was seamless and they tasted sooooo good and met the office's dietary restrictions. I do wish they would have labeled the different types of empanadas but other than that, they adhered to the flavors we wanted. My biggest lesson was to double the oder next time because 24 just wasn't enough.

Decided to finally try Colada with my boyfriend as an early celebration to National Boyfriend's day. It services to Cuban based cuisines but their menu has a variety of beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to choose from. My boyfriend ordered their popular colada shop Cuban and I had the sofrito chicken wrap. We also ordered a side of yucca fries which was delicious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has items for sale on the side as well. There's a bar seating area, several tables inside and outside the restaurant. Would highly recommend to anyone try come and try their food!

The restaurant is really cute and great atmosphere. The inside is beautiful and the outdoor seating area as well. It's a really nice place to grab dinner or lunch. The Cuban sandwich was super yummy, I really enjoyed it. Very flavorful and perfectly made. I would definitely get this again and recommend it to others. I was so excited for the croquetas because I grew up eating them all the time and I love them. But the chicken croquetas here were so dry, it actually dried out my mouth trying to eat them (not exaggerating but it felt like absorbed my spit bc very dry and I had to drink water). I would not recommend these unless maybe today was a bad batch for them. I grew up in south Florida eating croquetas and never had one this dry, even the Publix ones in the food warmers are more moist than these were somehow? I was sad because I was looking forward to these the most. The beef empanadas were ok, I wouldn't get them again but they were not bad, just ok. I think the dough is a little on the dry side. The service was good!

Cuban sandwich was perfectly grilled for a crispy texture on the outside like it should be. The pickles and sauce made a explosion of flavors in your mouth. Ive had real cuban sandwiches from authentic shops in Florida and this one makes it well compared to other places ive had it at. The person working at the cashier and server were very nice and helping. Inside is plenty of tables where people come to work. Outback is more tables. Great vibes all round. I highly recommend coming here

This place was so cute on the inside. I love some good Cuban food so it was nice to bite into my empanadas and pastelitos and taste a bit of home. Service was quick and staff was great.

Interesting interior. It has the vibe of a coffee shop, but from a tropical area. The location is quite convenient and there is plenty of parking in the vicinity. It's tucked away in one of the corners, but they have a very colorful wall to make the place stand out. My biggest gripe with this place is the price for the amount of food you receive. It's not a lot. Coffee seemed steeper. Perhaps it's the location and I am more accustomed to the suburbs, but I just felt like I paid a tad too much. The food isn't bad. It's just not the star of this place. The service was quick and responsive. This is a good place to meet up with someone over small snacks and a coffee.

I came to Colada Shop on a rainy Saturday afternoon with my family. It was super packed inside since it was pouring rain, but if the weather had been nice there is also plenty of seating outside. The parking lot is shared by multiple retailers which makes finding parking on the weekends tricky. You can either order at the cashier counter or scan a code at any table after seating yourself to order on your phone. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich, Yucca Fries and a Mango Iced Tea. The Breakfast Sandwich comes with egg tortilla, Swiss cheese, Cuban bread, avocado and your choice of meat: mojo pork, spinach and egg white or ham (I picked mojo pork). The sandwich was very flavorful and the bread wasn't soggy from its contents. The pork was soft and full of flavor. The Yucca Fries comes with 6 pieces and a cilantro aioli. They were crispy and fresh, but you get so little.... the sauce was really good though and I used it to dip my sandwich as well. The Mango Iced Tea was also tasty and refreshing. It was super hectic the day I went, but the staff were really diligent with checking with each table that their complete orders were sorted. I appreciated the time they took to check with each table that nothing was missing from their order. Overall, I had a positive experience. I will say that the menu at Colada Shop is pretty pricey, but if you wanted to treat yourself then I would recommend this spot :)

Completely underwhelming - now with a "resuaraunt fee" added to EVERY check! Came in for a chicken salad sando - contained less than a tablespoon of chicken salad (no joke) a ton of chickpeas and lettuce. Mouthful of lettuce and chickpea is not a great experience. Paired with a topo chico I had the pleasure of paying $18+ for. Cute place, too bad its hit the inflation / restaurant fee bug heavy. HARD PASS every time.

This place is always a treat! Their empanadas are very yummy, they always have different seasonal flavors and they are always good. I love their coffees and other dishes as well. Their indoor and outdoor seating is very nice. Inside they have a lot of nice plants and outside in the summer they have a nice water fountain and plants, comfy seating. They started to have you order from either the cashier or from your phone at the table. At the table you scan the QR code and order directly from your phone, then they bring it to you. Super easy! This trip I had the platanachos, which are nachos with plantain chips, ropa vieja, frijoles, pickled onions and cheese. It is so good! I also had the beef empanada and the seasonal flavor empanada, as well as the churros.

I was actually on my way to Cava but when I saw a Cuban restaurant, I knew I had to try it out. I ordered at the front where there was a large menu. I ordered the pork bowl. It was yummy. So much flavor! I especially enjoyed the sauce that came with it. I also really appreciated that this is a woman owned business. I'd love to go back and eat on the patio that's outside. I definitely recommend this place.

I went to Colada Shop on my birthday, April 1st, for a celebratory happy hour. When I arrived, I placed an order at the counter. They have QR codes on the table so you can order from your table as well. At first, I started off with a variety of empanadas and the Hotel Nacional cocktail. Then I ordered the stuffed tostones and Cuban Jungle. Everything was delicious! I ordered the key lime pie dessert to go as well. Colada Shop has cafe vibes and they even serve coffee beverages as well. So whether you need a pick-me-up or a chance to wind down, Colada Shop is your place!

All food evolves, and so Cuban food has also evolved and the result is this very nice and new place in Potomac. But some cultural issues with the food, which apparently has been changed here. I ordered a pork bowl, which came with the most basic of Cuban dishes, and the main staple of Cuban food: white rice and black beans. There is a long cultural tradition assigned to this dish, and even its Cuban Spanish name (moros y cristianos or "moors and christians") tell you something about the dish (rumored to honor the 100th anniversary in 1592 of Queen Isabella's final victory over the Moors in 1492). I was horrified when my moros y cristianos were brought to me with the black beans piled atop and next to the white rice in the bowl/plate. HUGE cultural gaffe! These two parts of this key Cuban dish are always, always, always served in separate dishes and only the eater can mix them, if he/she desires to mix it. An appropriate presentation here (maybe?) Is to serve them on separate parts of the plate. Yes. I am being food pedantic When cooked together, a different dish, called "congri" is the result: Different dish, different flavor, different recipe. These were not cooked together, but served together. Overall, the food was very good, but far from stellar or memorable, although it is probably one of the few decent variants of non Mexican/Central American Latin American food available to Potomackers... I am being a bit harsh I realize, and I do plan to come back regularly, but please note that Cuban black beans have to have cumin! My wife ordered classic tostones, and they were perfect! I ordered stuffed tostones, somewhat of a "new" offering that I now see regularly in Cuban restaurants, and they were delicious! The stuffing was ropa vieja, and it also could have used some cumin. The staff - two young men - were amazing! Very friendly and open to help and assist as needed. There is also a mini bar in the place, and now both those guys know the history of the "Cuba Libre"! I will be back!

We came in for Easter brunch special with the whole family (which includes one child and two dogs). We sat outside, order through the app, and get prompt service. The brunch has three courses. The tostada with guava jam definitely wins the day. Other highlights include the amazing cuban benedict, and churros!! I definitely like this location the best compared to the others Colada shop I have been to since they have the nice outdoor area and they are very dog-friendly. The only drawback is I think their food are a more on the pricey side, hence the 4 stars. Otherwise, highly recommended!

I came with a party of four and ordered a variety of drinks and food items. Portions were unreasonably small for the prices charged with food quality being unremarkable, although drinks were good. For example, the Caesar salad was $13 plus a "restaurant fee" . The salad was about 1/2 a head of lettuce, some bland croutons that tasted store bought, and a tablespoon of cheese. At most restaurants, this would be a $5 side salad. My dinner companions each got similar sized meals with the same complaints. Go to Cava next door.

Could be so much more. I've been going to the Potomac location since the shop opened. I had hoped for a respite from the limited food choices Potomac has to offer. The food is good. Mostly fried or small, short order options. However, the positive is completely overrun by other consistent issues. 1) Food comes out slow for a fast casual store. It shouldn't take 20 minutes for avocado toast when there are only a handful of people in the restaurant. 2) Cost of product not in line with food quality, uniqueness, or experience. Too overpriced. In addition, all orders hit with an additional supply fee... not cool. 3) Small portions. My last Santiago bowl was half full with small dollops of protein and beans - and, no, not benchmarking this on super huge American portions either. This stuff can be cleaned up easily enough. Let see if you guys can do it. I'm rooting for you!

Food was delicious and surprisingly authentic. I found the guava barbecue sauce a little bit on the sweet side, but everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The Mojito was imbalanced with more lime than needed, but it was still refreshing and an eight dollars it was a steal.

I am currently visiting my local gym in Maryland. I can't believe I stumbled upon the most wonderful, outdoor & quaint atmosphere with cute $3+ bites tucked in a shopping center. Quick service, checked on often to see if I needed anything...simply prepared and presented food. I had Empanadas, ham croquettes and yucas. Everything was okay, I wish they served a delicious house sauce. The main sauce served with every dish is a huge miss. Maybe add a Cuban Chimichurri or Mojo sauce for dipping. The cilantro aioli can't be served with each appetizer. I suggest a trio with each appetizer. And for dessert ... CAFÉ CON LECHE that is guaranteed to keep me awake long enough for my second workout....and guava/cream cheese PASTELITOS! The drinks seem to be the allure of this place, so I look forward to trying th

After work, my boyfriend and I caught the last 20 minutes of happy hour at Colada Shop in Cabin John Mall. Their happy hour occurs Monday to Friday from 3-6pm and features discounted empanadas and cocktails. Since Mojitos were $7 all day, my boyfriend ordered one. The Mojito consisted of white rum, lime, cane sugar, mint, and soda. It was garnished with dried lime. I enjoyed a Colada Cider, which reminded me of a Hot Toddy and consisted of Rum, apple cider, pineapple syrup, lime, and cinnamon. It was served hot and garnished with a dried pineapple. It was perfect during the winter season. We also picked up a Guava Pastry without cheese!

The service here is very polite and quick to respond to costumers needs. I come here with my family and friends occasionally and they are all satisfied with their food and experience of coming to such a cozy and welcoming environment. The finger food here is addicting and comes in different flavors each season along with most of the drinks they also change throughout the seasons. Overall the place is comfortable if just simply coming for a meal or even to work, hosting parties at colada is also very fun the catering menu is amazing. There is a wide variety of deserts here to anyones liking, I do recommend the churros they are so scrumptious. Lastly, I would like to add the manager is quite a guy, very polite, very respectful and leads a good team! Very satisfied :)

Great Outdoor & Tiramisu! Visited this new Potomac eatery (8/12/22). Located in Cabin John Shopping Center (Tuckerman Ln/Seven Locks Rd) Potomac, MD. Ordering via QR Code left much to be desired. We ended up going inside to order. Our meal was served @ our table outside. Very Spacious outdoor seating area-great for enjoying drinks w/friends. Spacious inside seating too. One friend ordered a "virgin" Margarita, another just water, me the "Piña Colada Slushee" (think boozy snow cone.) Delicious! Fresh pineapple flavor, creamy coconut w/rum. My friends split "the Colada Shop Cuban" sandwich (slow roasted pork & ham with Swiss cheese on Cuban bread) & empanadas stuffed w/chicken. They looked tasty-friends said they were Ok! I ordered "the Salmon Citrus Salad" (mojito cured salmon, pickled onions, hearts of palm on a bed of kale & salad greens w/creamy citrus vinaigrette.) Yes fresh ingredients. Tasty. However; the salmon was cut up/cubed very small. Such that the kale/greens overwhelmed the salmon flavor. Dessert-Delicious highlight of the meal. I enjoyed the "Havana Tiramisu" rich coffee flavor, creamy texture w/boozy rum kick. See Photos. Courteous Customer Service. The dessert, outdoor seating & fresh ingredients are worth another visit.

Outstanding cocktails! Their fall cocktail with pumpkin syrup, passion fruit and rum is outstanding. Great outdoor garden. Wonderful cafe con Le he and churros! A hidden gem since they are often not very busy.

It was good! We loved the empanadas and the dishes were also great! Get the spinach and cheese and whatever seasonal empanada they have. I got the plantanachos which uses plantains instead of chips and it was delicious! The guavafrosé was amazeballs! Get it! It's yum!! Also the almondcherryblossom latte (its seasonal) was delish!! Yes, I got two drinks because I could not decide! Nothin' wrong with that!! At least go for their drinks. They were good! Anyways, give them a try!!

If you're looking to get your toes wet and step into the post-pandemic "dine at a local place" world, this is your spot. On a weekday lunch, cousin and I popped in here for a quick bite.  We order 3 empanadas (chicken, beef, and spinach and cheese), a Cubano, a Guava Frose, and some churros, to top of this (not so) light lunch.  Noteworthy items from our order were the chicken empanada, that came with a nice green aioli-ish sauce, and the Cubano with its perfect amounts of bread to meat to pickle-Mayo-tang spread. The Guava Frose was a delicious drink, but def as others have mentioned, tiny for the price you pay. They've got much more on their menu to try, something for everyone (kids, vegetarians, etc), or even if you just want to grab a coffee/tea and pastry. Each of their stores has some throwback decor vibes going on reminiscent of Havana: pops of fluorescent pink, yellows, and blues. You're totally not asking, but since you are, you won't regret stopping by here.

It was such a good song and I had high hopes for Colada Shop. First, let me say that the service was on point. A smiling cashier took my order and answered questions. Yes, I was carded, when I ordered a drink, but I was flattered that they did. My order took about 10-12 minutes to get filled. It was not a busy day in the restaurant. Unfortunately, I saw only one person in their small kitchen. They should hire more kitchen staff to aide in getting out orders in a timely manner. I read that they try to prep a lot of dishes on their days off. I ordered a margarita in a pouch and it was very tasty. It was $13.50 for the drink, which I felt was a little highly priced for one drink. I ordered the guava and cheese pastry. Unfortunately, it was a couple of days old and was dry and tasteless. Next, I ordered chips with black bean dip. I also ordered a side of mojo. I had envisioned hot chips with a yummy warm dip. I received a cold plastic bag of chips and a tiny side of cold black bean sauce, not very appetizing. Then, onto the Cuban sandwich...this is supposed to be a house specialty. I found it to be good, but nothing stood out, not the bread, meat, or cheese. Lastly, the star of the show were the empanadas. I had a spinach and cheese and it was warm, delicious, and crispy. It came with a green avocado dipping sauce and that sauce was golden. I could have eaten a dozen of those. Okay, maybe three. I know that The Colada Shop is new and working out the kinks. Maybe it was an off day? But, for a $43 dollar lunch, it should have been memorable, like the song. I hope they work out their kinks.

Well, first you have to order all of your food at the counter and then sit and wait for it to be brought to the table. As you order they charge you a supply fee + a tip. Though, there really is no table service. The food comes and they quickly rush off. There's no checking in or asking if we want water or anything. Mind you, the place is empty, maybe three tables, again self service so it's not like they are busy. The food was cold, small portions, expensive. There's no clearing of the table either. I had ask for water and was directed to the self service water station. The food was just ok, the rice was cold and the ropa vieja room temperature. We ordered the tres leches and it came pre made in a jar, sugary sweet but nothing close to a true tres leches. Very disappointing. Maybe lunch service is better and better suited for this type of set up.

Excited that they opened in Cabin John Shopping Center. I've been twice during their soft opening, and I'm sure I'll be going again! Got takeout during the first visit. Cubano, plantain chips, tres leches and the guava frose. Cubano was tasty. Bread was delish and wasn't soggy even after driving home. The plantain chips were a side. Light. Crispy. Not greasy! Tres leches meringue was denser than I prefer. Not a huge fan of the meringue. The cake wasn't as creamy/milky as other places so I'll skip it next time. The guava frose... Yeah, I'm going to have to order a few more of those and just keep them in my freezer for nights I need something fun and don't want to go out. (Oh, wait. That's been during this whole pandemic!) Second visit was to try and get pastelitos and drinks. At 11am, I managed to get the last guava pastelito and sweet cheese pastelito. Everything else was already sold out. Both pastries were really yummy. Which means I definitely need to go back and get more. My kid got the mango tea and I got a cafe con leche. There's a lot on the menu to try, so I'll be going back! Parking at Cabin John sucks though. All their attempts to fix parking makes it a bigger mess. It's easier to park away from the restaurant and closer to the Tuckerman Lane side instead of up front. Not like there's really much parking up front.

Man, was I disappointed. I love to see newish ethnic food places in Potomac. Ordered a breakfast sandwich and a bowl. Portions were small, flavor was missing, not fully authentic, where do I event start?! Piña colada was better, but still not a 10. Would not return.

White washed Cuban food. I really had higher expectations but then remembered it's in Potomac and that brought me back to reality. The ambiance is cute but the food isn't authentic. We would go back for drinks and small plates but we do not crave the food and haven't thought about it since going.

I love Cuban food and I was so excited to try Colada shop for the first time today! Atmosphere: The restaurant is really inviting and colorful. The inside looked super clean, and the outdoor seating area was so cute! Definitely makes you forget that it's in a shopping center. Lots of outdoor seating was available when I got there on a Saturday afternoon. Food: I thought the food was delicious! The plantanachos (plantain chip nachos) were bomb. The stuffed tostones came stuffed with ropa vieja beef that was so moist and tender, and the tostones itself was super crispy. Everything was served hot and tasted fresh! Drinks: This is where I was less impressed. Although the drink menu has a great variety, I wasn't thrilled with the size of the drink I received. My partner and I ordered one of each of the smoothies - piña colada and guava frosé. The cups they came served in were so small though, and filled right to the tip! And for $10 it didn't seem like the best deal, even with the smoothies being alcoholic. They did taste good though. The piña colada was almost perfectly made and the guava was super fresh tasting. I accidentally knocked over nearly half of my piña colada, which was a bummer. A waiter came to help clean it up, and told me I would have to pay for a refill even though I hadn't drank the smoothie yet. I was kinda put off by that - I'm not the type to look for a handout but most other businesses I've been to would have refilled the drink out of courtesy. Bigger cups would have helped. Service: The staff was very attentive, maybe a little too attentive, constantly checking on our party. But I didn't mind the hospitality. I think that I was more peeved about the contradiction between how gracious the staff seemed and the fact that they wouldn't refill my spilled drink lol. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and food enough to go back in the future!

I came to enjoy the new location in Potomac Md, nothing compared to the service in DC. The ladies taking your order don't know the menu to start I ordered the sofrito chicken I asked 3 times is that white meat only and the both the ladies at the registered said yes. I had the longest day at work and was looking forward to my dinner. When it came it was filled with dark me and it absolutely made me sick to my stomach. There's some people that just can't eat certain foods and Im one or them. Please make sure you ask the manager before ordering or look at pictures posted. For me I'll just go back to the DC location even though this one is 5 minutes away from home.

We came here for the opening tonight and didn't expect to see a great place for a social gathering in Cabin John Village. Right in the middle of Bethesda there's this bright blue tropical theme decorated restaurant with a great outdoor seating area and a live band. The lines were longish, and they were adhering to social distancing guidelines. It took us a little over an hour to get our food but I don't think that would be the usual case. Our first order was simple: we got a Cuban sandwich, Croqueta with onions, cheese and zucchini and 3 empanadas for $9. I wanted the plantain chips with mojo sauce but they were out. The Cuban sandwich was actually pretty large in size it,could've used a few more pickles but it was pretty good. But my favorite were the empanadas we had chicken, beef, and spinach and cheese. I actually really liked the pastry around the empanada which tend to be more flaky and I'm used to kind of thicker empanada encasing. This time we got a to go order but I think I'll definitely be back in the future because their cocktails looked enticing as well as the patio are. Don't worry they have pouches to go too!

As a place from which to get delivery, it is fantastic! I love the Veggie Cuban sandwich, which is so tasty and delicious I've gotten it over and over ... but the thing is, when I went in person -- which was such a big deal after years of having to stay at home, or at least of having almost nowhere to go! -- I really could not stand the treatment I received and you could say it's soured me on even ordering anything to be delivered by them, sadly! :-( I guess you could say it left a bad taste in my mouth! It was just yucky .... It's kind of made me forget what else I even liked from there .... I do think it's cool they have a mural! I like that!

Colada is the second sit-down restaurant that I've been to where you order and pay on your phone. Because of this, we didn't really have a waiter (which defeats the purpose of tipping in a way). The restaurant is only a few weeks old, so they are probably still figuring a few things out but when I went, it was a little odd. They don't offer water as soon as you sit down, and they actually don't ask you if want any unless you directly ask them. Once you ask for water, they direct you to a small self-serve sink with the smallest glass cups I've ever seen. I think this is to push you to purchase their bottled water or other cafe drinks. My friend ordered their honey caramel latte and was disappointed to have it taste like a regular vanilla latte. We ordered one of their special sampler options. It came with 4 empanadas, 4 croquettes, plantains, and brownies for $25. The empanadas and croquettes were really good--I highly recommend the spinach and cheese croquettes. However, it is a lot of fried food at once. I

Food is fantastic and service is even better. Get a cafe con leche half sweet . Great brunch as well!

Very cute patio seating. dog friendly. We ordered inside and they brought our food and drinks out. Great spot for a casual coffee/lunch date. Sandwiches : enjoyed it but nothing super special. -Colada shop cuban -fried chicken croqueta Drinks: - pina colada: served in a pouch. Delicious and pretty strong too. - cafe cubano espresso: on the sweet side so I asked for 50% sweetness level and it was great Will definitely be coming back to try some of the other things on the menu.

Ale hosted and served us! She was super sweet and did everything to get us all we wanted even when it wasn't on their menu. The food was so tasty and drinks were delicious! Super cute spot for a date. Pricing... that's the only reason I gave it a 4 star - it's a little over priced we paid $75 for everything pictured. Ouch lol

This is my go to favorite in the area for light bites or just coffee with friends. Cubanos are excellent. Seasonal specials are worth a try. Some creative flavor combinations. If you like Cuban coffee you're all set. It you're looking for that stellar French roast, your in the wrong shop. Order using your phone and a QR code specific to your table. If you don't like the Toast platform, just order with a server. Toast interface ain't great but that's not the restaurant's fault. This place is also a fantastic option for catering. They are really attentive to details, and our guests were wowed by the empanadas and sandwiches. It was a crowd pleaser.

A cute place to grab drinks and tapas. My friend and I sat down, scanned the QR code to order and everything came to our table for us. The place wasn't full at all (or even halfway full) but service was still slow.. however, the quality of the food was pretty good so I highly recommend coming here!
