My friends and I were craving something new and casual and stumbled upon this place. My friend had mentioned it recently opened and during its first few weeks, there was always a line of cars spilling out into the highway.
When we got there, it was right before the dinner rush so we were able to look at the menu thoroughly. The girl at the register, Willow, was super helpful and patient with us while we ordered. We all decided to try different chicken sandwiches, The Big Piece, Nashville Hot, and Southern Charm. Most of the things on the menu had unique names and I liked that!
Food:
The Big Piece - no tomato: our favorite as it didn't have all the bells and whistles that the others had. It was your classic fried chicken sandwich with their spin on the chicken. We noticed the chicken was pretty sweet so we agreed that it fit well on this classic sandwich.
Nashville Hot: nothing crazy, my friend who tried it didn't think it was that spicy, however she is someone who can handle her spice very well. As for me, the spice is bearable, gives it a nice kick.
Southern Charm: I wanted to like it but it was too sweet. Because the chicken was already sweet, the sauce and candied bacon added to it. I ended up just eating the chicken part because the sweetness became too overwhelming.
Fries: very good, standard crinkle fries - comparable to Nathan's
Fried Oreos: ehh, it was okay for fast food fried Oreos
Drinks:
Strawberry Lemonade: very sweet, possible you'll get a cavity!
Sauces:
Colbie's: my fave, classic secret sauce
Thai Chili: good, sweet
Honey Mustard: classic, never fails
Price:
Average price of a meal is $10 - it was standard for what you'd usually get at a Chick-fil-A or comparable upscale fast food establishment.
Overall, our experience and time at this place was nice. We also appreciate Willow going above & beyond in helping us throughout! Just an awesome employee overall, which is what prompted me to even write this review! I will be back to try the tenders/nuggets for sure!
