"Carlsbad gets a new neighborhood burger joint with the upcoming opening of Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers set for Tuesday, October 29. Founded is Arizona, where there are 11 existing outlets, the eatery debuted in the Gaslamp back in 2016. It’s the fastest growing brand for Square One Concepts, the Scottsdale-based hospitality group that also runs several concepts in San Diego including downtown’s Bootlegger, Park 101 in Carlsbad, and the Pacific Beach Shore Club. Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers replaces 83 Degrees on Carlsbad Village Drive, spanning over 5,500-square-feet with a 2,000-square-foot, dog-friendly patio and seating for more than 300 diners. As the name suggests, the menu revolves around burgers — hand-formed, half-pound patties made from fresh ground chuck that are available in a dizzying 1,300 custom combinations of sauces and toppings; signatures include the Juicy Lucy, stuffed with cheddar-jack, and the Arizona burger topped with pepper jack, tomatillo salsa, and green chile. There are also starters like fried pickles and parmesan truffle fries plus salads, sandwiches, hot dogs, and a variety of mac and cheese. Stopped into Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers in Old Town Scottsdale and had a great experience. The vibe is exactly what you’d expect—sports bar meets burger joint—with plenty of TVs, a full bar, and both indoor and patio seating. Perfect spot if you want to catch a game with friends. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries, and it hit the spot. The burger was stacked with fresh toppings (crisp lettuce, juicy tomato) and the melted cheddar really sealed the deal. Fries were hot and well-seasoned—good pairing with a cold drink. Portion sizes are definitely generous, so come hungry. Service was quick and friendly, and even though the place has a lively atmosphere, it never felt overwhelming. Parking in Old Town can sometimes be tricky, but this location has nearby street and lot options, which makes it convenient or just grab a Waymo. If you’re in Old Town and craving a hearty burger with plenty of TVs for sports, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers is a solid choice.

I was just recently in town with a large group of guys for an annual trip to an NFL game. We're always looking for upbeat bars that are good for watching games and getting decent pub food. This place exceeded expectations. It has a great atmosphere and an amazing staff. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and friendly. In particular Emily was our server one day and Ashley helped us out the next. Bonus, they even turned us onto a bus that leaves the bar to take people to Glendale for the game! Their burgers and wings are great too! I'd highly recommend this place.

My fiancée & I went here for our date lunch and we barely made it before the lunch rush, so that was lucky. But the food was way better than we were expecting and our server was extremely nice and well attentive for how busy it was getting while we were there. We will definitely come back, the jumbo soft pretzel was so good we would come back for that alone haha!

Exactly what I expected for such a place, lots of sports displays, burgers and beer. Coming from Europe this seems like a "very american" experience and we fully enjoyed the experience watching some sports and have a pretty decent burger

Blonde girl with blue eyes. (Photo attached) I wish I could her name. Shes a waitress on the floor she needs an attitude adjustment. Our server, Ashely was actually fantastic and really great. That’s what we need. She deserves ALL the tips !! it’s a chained restaurant the burgers are trash , my food was cold, the meat was grey looking. I fully ate my burger because I was hungry. Immediately got food poisoning. Server was nice. To the GMs that kept pressing on “how was my service” There’s ya’lls response. Ya’lls meat is spoiled.

Very good service, nice bar. Food mixed. The burger left some to be desired but the char dogs and drummettes were fantastic. The buffalo sauce had my ear itching from the spice but worth it. Housemade chips were super good too. Id go back.

I look forward to coming here every time I am in town! I first came here 3 years ago and was blown away by the quality of their burgers! So much so that i came in twice during my stay this visit. This time, with high expectations from my first visit, I chose to go with the "BYOB" build your own burger option... (pen and paper are provided at your table daring you to customize the most perfect burger to satisfy your cravings and taste buds.) I couldnt believe it... they did it again! Absolutely blown away. I am still thinking about this burger I experienced on friday and it is now Monday at 10:30pm after a long day of travel/flying back home... havent even unpacked yet, because i needed to give this spot a raving 5 star review The only negative I can say about my experience on sunday is that the waitress i had was not very attentive and very slow to return to the table...Just overall bad, but not a true reflection of how great this spot is. The amount of tvs for sports games is incredible as well, great vibe for all sports lovers. They even have tvs at the urinals playing the games lol. So many tvs its hard to even see the walls they are mounted onto. Every detail executed to perfection! Thank you CB & CB! Ill be returning 100%! Thank you so much!

I would not recommend coming here. The parking is terrible (but that is to be expected in this area of Scottsdale). We came for lunch on a Friday at around 1pm. They were busy but not terribly busy. There were a lot of open tables on the patio area. We were seated on the patio in the corner. We had people off the street coming up and harassing us, asking for money while we were sitting on their patio having lunch. This is obviously not the establishment's fault, however it made the already bad experience worse. Our server was nice enough. Not attentive at all though. Service was slow. When our food finally came out it was freezing cold. The mozzarella sticks we ordered were practically half frozen still. The burgers were also cold. Everyone's food tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. Nothing even came out warm, everything was cold. Would never come back to this location.

Came in for lunch on a Friday early afternoon. We were sat right away. Our server greeted us quickly and brought our drinks. The food was ok. We waited a while to get our food and I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it but some of the items were cold when it came out. My fiancé got the buffalo mozzarella sticks and they were cold, the cheese inside still not melted and outside cold to the touch. The chicken sandwich was good and the tots were hot. The burgers were good nothing special though. The outside patio is bit and we were sat in the corner and seemed at times to be forgotten, specially when a homeless guy came and was bothering our table asking for a meal in return for a watch. No manager or server in sight to let them know or to ask the person to leave. Parking is in the back in a parking garage but at first glance if you don't know the area it's hard to know where to park

Delicious burger joint! They truly live up to their name with their vast beer list and yummy burgers. Our service was great, and the sports bar vibe was very fun. It was pretty busy so we had to sit outside, and I was a little nervous because it was cold and poring rain, but the heaters really kept it warm! I ordered the 1000 Island Burger, which was great! It came with provolone, which I wasn't a big fan of so I do wish I had switched out the cheese for something else. Otherwise it was delicious. The fries were also pretty good, especially with their ranch. My friend ordered a milkshake for dessert, which was thick and had a sprinkle rim! Overall great Scottsdale restaurant.

Went with friends for dinner and to watch World Series. A large group of kids/parents came in. The kids were playing on their phones and were so noisy that we couldn't even visit. Mentioned this to 2 parents on our way out and they told us to go sit down. Spoke to manager and he asked if we'd paid the bill and if we had, then to just leave!!! Won't ever be going back.

This was the place where my son brought us for lunch today. There's a free garage nearby for parking. We arrived at 2:30 p.m., but the restaurant was bustling with many customers. We were able to sit in the four-seater booth at the back. The Burger menu was so interesting that I didn't know which one to choose, so my son chose it. It was Bacon PB&J, also ordered Steakhouse, another Bacon PB&J, and Blue Moon beers. I ordered homemade potato chips, French fries, and coleslaw from Burger. It was my first time eating a burger with peanut butter & and jelly, but it was good!!! My son said he had eaten all the burgers here and they were all delicious. I want to try another burger again.

I was looking for a burger and this place is across from my hotel. It looked like a fun place. I ordered the mozz sticks to start. They were ok, definitely could have been hotter and Peltier. The bartender asked if I wanted ranch to dip them in? Is that a thing in AZ? I ordered the PB& J burger for dinner. I am a huge fan of PB on a burger so I went for it It was just ok. For a burger place I really thought the patty would be better. If you can imagine, I had PB& J, bacon and Cheddar on my burger and somehow it lacked flavor. The only thing I could really taste was the grape jelly

Found this spot while walking around on a warm day in Scottsdale! That had me at Cold Beer! We were greeted and seated immediately which I love! Sat outside in the patio! Our server was very friendly and a little forgetful but it didn't stop us from having a good meal! Big menu with lots of options for and drink! I ordered a local blonde beer and it was really good- can't remember the name!! For food I had a really hard time choosing with so many good options but I ordered the chicken sandwich! It was delicious! Restaurant wasn't overly clean kept clean which o always appreciate and it has a good vibe! Is definitely return if ever in town again!

A fine place to watch a game with good food. There are plenty of TVs allowing you to watch several games at the same time. The space is crowded on weekends with tables close together. The menu has plenty of options ranging from appetizers to cheeseburgers to healthier choices. The variety can make it easier to reach common ground with your family or friends when no one can decide on what to eat. It took a while to get our game on television. There were multiple televisions with the same game on and we were told it had to finish before they changed channels. Multiple groups asked for at least one television to play our game before the restaurant changed the station. Parking in Scottsdale can be a challenge but there is a parking garage right behind the restaurant making it easier to get in and out.

For what this place is, I have no complaints. A million TVs. A ton of beers. Solid burgers. The fries were decent. The sliders are pretty tasty themselves. If you're looking for something a little bit cheaper and want a good spot to watch a game, this is a good choice. The service was decent and the inside of this place is actually really cool. They have an outdoor patio too for the nicer days! Cheers!

We stopped in for lunch at 1:00 today, 8/9. The hostess wanted to seat us in the back of a mostly empty restaurant, and my husband wanted to sit in one of the booths on the right as you walk in so he could see the tvs straight on and not looking sideways. He asked the hostess if we could sit there and *wow*. She snapped "FINE" and threw the menus on the table and stomped off and shot us dirty looks the entire time we were there. She also kept putting in lipgloss with her fingers which is off putting in a restaurant. The server Courtney was amazing, the food was great. That hostess though? Next time someone wants to go there I will say no to this location EVERY time. I should have asked for a manager right away but we didn't want to cause a scene.

I recently went here one evening with my sister and some friends from out of town because it was recommended for its ambiance. It did not disappoint! First, let me begin by saying our waitress was wonderful. She was very attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The manager, Jose, was so awesome! He made sure that our food came out in a timely manner and met all of our expectations. Even when our waitress was changing shifts, he came to our table to inform us that we would be receiving a new waitress. 10 out of 10 recommend this place. Not only for the top-notch customer service. But the food was hot, timely, and full of flavor! And the drinks were very balanced, delicious and of course, the beer was ice cold!! Definitely coming back. Thank you, Jose and thank you to your staff.

We had a craving for a good burger and decided to go back here. It's been quite a while since we were here last, but nothing has changed; well except the prices. The atmosphere is very casual with tons of TVs everywhere, so you can most likely catch your favorite game here. Our server was attentive and helpful, but not super friendly. The food was pretty good, but hard to believe for 3 of us with 2 drinks it was almost $100 with the tip. Ouch!

The happy hour menu is entertaining and the restaurant has televisions are everywhere! We tried the veggie burger with a side of veggies. The asparagus was fantastic! The traditional cheeseburger was good and we added avocado to it. The onion rings were an impressive size and had a nice crunch! This place is great to watch sporting events and have some good old bar food!

What a great burger place! Great selection of beers, and cocktails (hubby had Orange Blossom and I had the velvet sunset). Staff was very friendly, and answered all of our questions and gave recommendations. We ended up getting the Bacon, Peanut Butter and Jelly Burger and the Beyond Burger, both were delicious and we thought the portions were generous! It's was busy the entire time we were there, and a waiting line when we left. If you're looking for a casual place to hang out and watch sports, you found your bar!

I did not expect this to be great as it's a chain. I was wrong. The burger was superb. Thick, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Very light bun. And a gigantic beer selection. It's a sports bar which I'm not a fan of. But if you like that - TVs everywhere. Very nice service.

Went here for lunch with the family today. This place is amazing. Love the feel of establishment and the patio is a great spot. The food was amazing and delicious. I got the open pit burger. Great flavor all around. The service was good too. Didn't take long for the food to arrive to the table once you had order. Also got an Oreo shake for dessert and boy was that good. Chinch or Oreo in the bottom of the cup with an icing rim with Oreos which top it all off. Great job!

Cold and ! We have passed this place for many years and finally decided to try their peanut butter burger..... AND HOLY ! Let us tell you when we say this burger is on the top 10 for MOST TRY BURGERS we are not exaggerating! This was so amazingly done that it was not what we expected at all! If you're hesitant about peanut butter on your burger like we were, we here to tell you stop fighting it and just do it, you won't be disappointed! We also had Buffalo chicken tot chos, they were very spicy so if you like it hot then get it! And yes the beers were cold the top of the beer was frozen it was so well done we don't have a photo of that unfortunately, but it was COOLDDDDD The service was WONDERFUL and we even did trivia inside which was so fun we got to see our scores on the TV! Everyone was a part of it, it was amazing!

This place has a cool vibe. Walked around Scottsdale for a while looking at various restaurants before settling on Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers. Great beer selection (duh) and +20 different burger options. Sat at the bar with incredible service. We ordered French dip, a mushroom burger, and a blue cheese burger. Opted for tots vs chips. Humongous portion of tots (to go with the massive burger).

Just some advice for any woman that wants to sit at the bar...I go there often and have always felt welcome and comfortable. Until today. I stopped by on 5/5 at about 5 in the afternoon and was treated like absolute CRAP by the bartender. I think her name was Natashya, but that's only because I looked at my tab. She did, however, introduced herself with a smile and pleasant service to every man in the place. So my advice..if you want to feel unwelcome, uncomfortable and unwanted, stop in when she is working. Otherwise, I love the place. I'll definitely make sure she is NOT behind the bar next time I choose to spend my time after work and my money there.

Beer selection? Amazing. Food? Delish. However, the food came with a MASSIVE side of food poisoning. Shortly after eating there last night I started to feel a little nauseous. Didn't think much of it until a couple hours later, where I then spent my ENTIRE night with my head in the toilet. Safe to say they scared me away. It's a shame, I really liked the place. Side note: the sweet potato fries were literally cold when I got them???

Worst service ever. We live near this restaurant and were excited to go there. We arrived and were seated quickly, but that's the only positive aspect of this visit. We placed an order for nachos.. just nachos, and two drinks. After sitting there for 30 minutes after ordering, I went and found the waitress and asked for water. She didn't even listen; she started defending the fact that we haven't received the nachos yet. All I wanted was water. After another 30 minutes, or 1 hour after we were seated, it was around 9 pm, so we needed to eat. We decided to get up and go somewhere else. I went up to the hostess stand and asked to pay for the drinks, and our waitress was there. She said that the kitchen lost our ticket. When she was defending the fact that we hadn't received the nachos 30 minutes earlier, she said, 'Don't worry, I'm checking on them.' If she had been checking on them, she would have realized earlier that they had lost the ticket. They didn't make us pay for our drinks, but it was too late. If you're hungry, don't go there! They dared to say Have a great night when I was leaving. No, I'm so sorry, let me make it up to you... Have a great night....The waitress said that, and the whole time she was insulting. She even rolled her eyes at me when she thought I was complaining about how long it was taking.. all I wanted was a water

Loved this place. Jen and I just drove in to Scottsdale from a long day of seeing Arizona. We needed a place to sit outside. Have a few drinks and some food. I saw this close to our hotel so I said yes, who doesn't love beer and cheeseburgers. We were sat outside by the sidewalk , perfect people watching spot. Jen had a Tito's and tea and I had a 2/oz Bud Light draft. I love French dips so when I saw it on the menu I said yes please. So of course I ordered that. Jen ordered a Cheeseburger and fries which was huge. The waitress was very attentive, the atmosphere was awesome and the food was really good. Would love to have a place like this back home. Well done guys.

We went on a Sunday afternoon, sat at the bar, not busy at all. Took almost 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. Should have left then. Food was ok. Again we were ignored, no one came back to ask us if we wanted another beer or check in. We waited 15 minutes to get our bill. Again, they weren't busy. Just terrible service. Won't go back.

Went to Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers to watch the UFC fight. I called first to make sure it was playing there. We have done this once before at the Chandler location but not in Scottsdale. We arrived about an hour before the main card and the inside dining room was already packed. Hostess said 20 minute wait or available seating on patio. We opted to sit right away. There was plenty of street parking at 6pm on Scottsdale rd. Overall, I felt hot and sweaty the entire time there, but a good time was had and we won our fight bets ;) Pros: - easy parking on street, there is also a nearby parking garage. - this location is on Scottsdale Rd. Near old town so sitting on the patio lends to people watching which I enjoy doing. - nachos were good, large serving so we split them. - large beer selection. - white sangria drink was very tasty and refreshing. I switched to that after my cold beer was getting warm from us sitting on the hot patio. - waitress was great even though she was clearly busy. Cons: - fix your mister system ASAP if it breaks in the AZ summer! Saturday was really hot. My watch said 105 even after 6pm and sitting on a patio with no misters is not as fun as you'd think lol.

Just had beers and it was a good vibe. Went next door to eat. And I have really nothing else to add. Our waitress was nice. I wish you could order flats only on the wings instead of just dummies....but it's ok.
