Randomly stopped and trapped myself by window shopping after picking up some food to go next door… I couldn’t resist these apples, they were yummy and most definitely hit the spot! My sweet tooth was happy for this sweet treat!!

They made my birthday special by making me a custom ufc octagon cake. It tasted delicious and divine 😋. Highly recommended

My daughters love cold stone and we typically go to the old town one because the service is great and the portion for the kids and the like it size are so generous but we’ve came to the Clairemont town square location a couple of times too because the theater is next door and every time the service from Diana I believe her name was, is awful and the portion is ridiculous. We always say we aren’t coming back but we did again and again we were let down. See pictures of how small the portion was for the kids size and for the price how disappointed!! Definitely won’t be back again. We will make the drive to old town. My daughter had not ate any at all. This is how the employee gave it to her.

I asked if they could write Happy Birthday and this is how it came out. I paid $60 for this ice cream cake. Whoever runs this shop needs to make sure all their cake decorators are capable of basic pretty handwriting because I could’ve written better on my own, and now the cake looks so bad. Also the Oreos aren’t even evenly placed. $60!!!!

My 5 year old was sent to the ER from having an anaphylaxis allergic reaction to the M&Ms that they serve here because the container was not labeled PEANUT M&Ms. We were told upon serving they only had milk chocolate ones. My husband paid them a visit the next day and requested to look at the packaging containers they have in the back and they said PEANUT BUTTER. Workers were "not aware." The only thing the Supervisor said was that "they aren't in charge of labeling the serving containers it's corporate labels they can't change them" and that" they're not a nut free facility" so they can't do anything. They are not making people aware the M&Ms have peanut butter in them. Absolutely horrifying response.

I’ve been going to cold stone for a week now and I’ve been racking points and I got a coupon for 20% off. Came to this location to claim it and I used it but the guy said “So Artificial Intelligence been hacking our systems and we cannot take your coupon” so I just lost it ? He said yeah sorry we can’t take it. I don’t know where to go from here now. I just used a coupon that they couldn’t take and blamed it on A.I. can I get a coupon ? Or should I call it a day.

I love this location and the customer service ! They always have my favorite flavor in stock. They always give me more at this location than any other location and it’s always served to me with a smile. Getting ice cream is the highlight of my summer and especially at this particular cold stone , I go as often as I can , you should too you won’t be sorry.

Such a fun and delicious stop! The kids love watching their ice cream get mixed on the cold stone. Great flavors and generous portions.

No doubt Cold stone has good products. For my birthday we tried the ice cream cupcakes. They were chocolate shells, variety cake and ice cream on top with a light whipped icing. I also got a like it size of Cake batter batter. All of which tasted great. Customer service is very inconsistent here. Your experience depends on who's working. Most times there's only one worker. And the few times I've gone they've been asking customers to pay in cash with no explanation which I find odd. I paid part cash part card and wasn't asked if I wanted my receipt I had to ask for it. I love Cold stone but this particular location could use some improvements and additional customer service training.

This was my second time ordering a custom cake from cold stone. The first cake was well made and very tasty so I ordered another custom cake with Oreo. The second cake pictured is what i retrieved from them for my child's birthday and it was melted and incomplete. I really couldn't believe this was the finished product. I asked the staff member if he could fix and he suggested I just hurry and get it home. These photos are of the cake within minutes of my arrival so it wasn't going to make it home. He made contact with the owner who suggested the icing was just "shiny" but with my disappointment asked him to re-ice the cake. No word on why there was a shady half border on the cake. It was still gooey looking and unsightly like a harry potter cake ..and I ended up asking to take a premade cake from their freezer just so my kid wasnt cake-less. There was no offer to refund the difference

DON'T APPLY FOR A JOB HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE THE OWNER'S PERSONAL BABYSITTER!!! please read to the end, this cold stone should be held accountable. my friend worked here and had the same experience, and i should've listened and not applied. I trained at cold stone in hopes of a calm summer job; my first job too! All was well until my second day of training. Apparently I still had stuff to work on, but they made me feel inadequate for not picking up the skills instantly. the next day, the owner's wife (Naaz) told me that i should try babysitting for them. What originally sounded like an offer quickly turned into a demand. She said that the only reason she hired me was because i had childcare experience and she needed a nanny, which made me feel obligated to do it just to keep my job there. I decided to do it despite not having a baby sitting job in a year or two. when i arrived, there was a 4 year old and three toddlers (2 and younger). I was severely unprepared, only expecting one or two kids. I was overwhelmed, running from one room to another to make sure they were safe. while i was checking on the babies in one room, one of them fell in a different room and cut his lip on the inside. I panicked as his mouth filled with blood and began to cry as i contacted my boss. After this i had one more shift at cold stone before they decided to stop training me. that day, Naaz had brought her child into work. She was crying and being loud and running in the areas we were working in, so Naaz took her to a part of the store with no cameras and started to hit her. She was only four. I was told that they wouldn't need me after that day.

We ordered online via the Cold Stone website for pick up tonight, Tuesday, and I hate to say this but we're pretty disappointed in the quality and care of our order. We ordered a 'love it' size Coffee Lovers and paid $1.69 for extra heath bar and we had to check the physical receipt on the bag to make sure it was on there because there were almost no heath bar pieces in there, it was bizarre. Even the heath pieces that should have been there regardless because we ordered the 'Coffee Lovers', weren't in there. They were basically non existent. We also ordered a 'love it' size of 'create your own creation' which was good in size and the amount of add in's. Sad that the 'coffee lovers' we bought in the same size was so much smaller. We also ordered a waffle bowl that was completely stale and inedible. We tipped $3.25 when we placed the order, before we even got there to pickup. Super disappointed that this it the outcome.

First came in no greeting took a couple minutes before the lady even noticed us. Rude tone of voice does not seem happy to be there. Horrible customer service lady had an attitude. Do not recommend this place and paying $10 for a shake.

Pretty standard CS Creamery in a pretty nice area of Clairemont. I used a gift card here to get some ice cream. On a sunny day this is probably a very nice hang out spot. Has outdoor seating for this CS and other restaurants.

I'm a fan of cold stone but this specific shop has been a disappointment. We got a topping but he didn't mix it. We asked about it so he mixed it quickly. As you can see from the picture, ice cream was already melting when we hot them (all three cups of them). The portion was smaller than what we used to get. We def got better quality from other shops before.

This cold stone is always my go to place. Amazing team members with great attitudes, great management the guy said his manager's name is Naaz and she is great on what she is doing. Among all the cold stone stores I prefer this location bcs the ice cream truly tastes creamy and delicious. The sizes are bigger than any other store as well.

I didn't realize you could close an ice cream shop more than 40 minutes early on a Saturday night. Disappointing to my family and at least the 3 others I saw go by.

Do not preorder personalized cakes from here!!!! I received one that looked like it was already melting from the sides and then refrozen. I requested a"Happy Birthday" message but It was very badly written! The cake looked awful! They did not have the right box size needed (small rectangular cake), so they used a huge paper box that did not fit in my freezer. The cake was a mess! I had to go somewhere else to buy a cake that actually looked nice for a birthday party. I was very disappointed. If you need to buy an icecream cake, better to choose one that is already pre-packed in their freezer....And Do NOT ask them to write anything on it!

Feels funny reviewing a cold stone but this place is a tragedy. 0 customer service and THEN they have the audacity to charge you more than what you got. We got 2 love it signatures but got charged for love it signature, gotta have it signature + mix ins? Which we didn't even change anything from the listed signatures? And it was almost all ice cream... not even many mix ins? Pretty crazy experience for $27. Go to Old Town location, they have better attitudes and actually charge the prices they should.

i had an issue the other night with one of my orders. i called and when the manager had time she told me to come in. the manager tonight was awesome and fixed everything! reasons like this are why i have gone for 20 years!

The actual ice cream is amazing. It's great quality. But you have to stand in line forever to be helped by one employee. It's not fair for the employee.

Yelp needs to update this business from $$ to $$$$$$$$ A cup costs $10 for one scoop of ice cream that doesn't even go past the cup line!!!! Ice cream immediately melted from the mix ins. Save your money & try the Vons around the corner where you can get a whole tub of ice cream for fraction of cost.

This location is my always go to place. best customer service, clean location, i love the supervisor she is so cool and beautiful.

Love new owners and the supervisor, Naaz! Service is so much better and the custom cakes are made and decorated much nicer now--they seem to really care about the shop. We have been going to this location for past 10 yrs and service was iffy and custom cakes were poorly made prior to the change in ownership & management. What a relief to finally have what feels like a great neighborhood ice cream shop again!

Amazing service and obviously I love cold stone. Give tip to workers but they were not very generous for not asking for it. Love the place very clean and the chocolates and apples are what my kids love the most. Will definitely go again.

So disappointed! Was really looking forward to cold stone, but my local shop was slammed due to cinco de mayo, so my fiance and I decided to give another location a shot. The cream tasted watered down and somehow cheaper than normal. The worker filled the cup only about 75 percent full. As I am sitting here writing this review, other customer that were behind me and complaining of similar issues. So sad. This location needs to get their stuff together!

This is my favorite cold stone to go to! it's always really good and quick service. My favorite is the birthday cake remix.

This cold stone is absolutely amazing! Everyone is so sweet, respectful and helpful. They are also clean and organized and know what they're doing! I've been going here for a while and haven't had an issue.

Came here after surgery for a treat. 04/13/2024. I've Ben coming to this location for 5+ years. They told me I can't put two different ice cream mixes in to one large bowl. I'll never come here again. You lost a customer for life. I hope the owner sees this. There wasn't a single other person inside the store.

HORRIBLE LOCATION. They dont even fill the cup with ice cream! Its barely a scoop and costs almost $10. Yikes! I asked him why theres so little and so light & he said thats just how he does it. Go to a diff location if youre craving!

$140 I was so disappointed. Haven't seen such an ugly cake. It looks like my little sister made after a night of getting tossed. Ice cream Good. Cake didn't care to eat and frosting way too sweet.

Do not go here, they charged 2 toppings for 4 marshmallows. We ordered the quart that comes with 4 toppings and they told us after the face that 4 marshmallows counted at 2/4 toppings. Horrible customer service.

I love cold stone but this specific location was just a mess. I walk in and the employee was on her phone talking the whole time while helping us I felt as if I couldn't ask for what I wanted because it felt like I was interrupting the employees conversation she was having on the phone. I told her what I wanted and if I could get it small. She then proceeds to make my icecream and puts it in a large cup! I then told her do you guys not have any more small cups? And she said oh yes we do but when you don't tell us what size you want then we just give you the large. I then told her how I asked in the beginning for a small. Obviously she was too busy and distracted being on her phone that she did not hear me. Also the other employee was being rude sweeping everywhere right next to me and practically touching me while I was ordering so I didn't see him until I felt him touch me. Do people not know how to say excuse me anymore ? Because I will gladly move out of someone's way. He did that like twice! When we got our icecream it melted so fast too it was like a soup. Was not worth my money.

Horrible customer service, worker would rather be on their personal phone than serve customers was more than ready to order my order when I walked in. They greeted me as I walked in and then immediately went to mess around on the phone.

Ice cream is terrific! However, we weren't greeted with a smile. But with a melancholy young woman who looked less than thrilled to be there. And another so busy doing tasks in the background that she couldn't bother to crack a small smile either. Poor experience. Not worth coming back to this particular location for me. It's ICE CREAM! Supposed to be completely joyful!

Cold Stone is pricey but so damn good! Since high school I've only ordered one thing and that's Our Strawberry Blonde. It's so damn delicious! I could eat it everyday. A small (Like It) will cost you around $5 which would be the equivalent of a tub or two at the grocery store but every once in a while it's fun to treat yourself.

Really nice Cold Stone that is right next to the movie theater. Winning! It's a chain (franchise?) that is consistent with other locations I have patronized. Plenty of tables inside and especially ones outside. That's just awesome, especially with decent weather here in SoCal. Service with a smile, I know the guy went over on the mixins for me and I enjoyed the completed ice cream with a ton of mixed nuts in it. I would certainly come back.

This location is one of the best places, amazing service and delicious ice cream. The staff is very polite and take care of customers and their request. You can find your next bday and event cake at this place, I highly recommend this location to all!

Like the other review we were met with the same melancholy women. She looked so unhappy to be working, I asked for a few samples and she just stared at us with a huge frown. It became uncomfortable. We did ask if she could mix our ice cream more and that seemed to make her pretty upset. I don't get it? Ehh Safe to say we will not be visiting this location. No one greeted us or said anything besides our total. For $16 of ice cream and not even a smile or hello- not worth it. Save yourself a trip.

Really overpriced, and I had to throw out the ice cream because there was a hair (not mine) on top of it. Enough said. You're much better off at Craft Creamery down Rosecrans (toward Shelter Island).

I love being able to create my own ice cream masterpiece. We usually get it delivered and it's always on point.

Would everyone cut the teenagers that work here some slack? They're just coming to the realization of how miserable it is to work for a soulless corporation. On the bright side, this soulless corporation cranks out some great ice cream.

The ice cream brought to us was already melting before we even sat down to enjoy them. They weren't even cold to be honest. For the price you pay for a small serving we thought it wasn't worth it.

If customers have to wear a mask or face covering, I would think all their employees would ear one. PROPERLY! I went in for an after my work delight. The female employee wore her mask. This Monday after 4 PM is when I saw a male employee making ice cream with his frigging nostrils exposed. WTF? Regards, concerned customer!

We love this Cold Stone, but beware if you order a custom cake. My son created his perfect birthday cake online and when we went to pick it up, they never made it and said they had no record of it. I had a receipt that included the date and time for pickup. Needless to say, I had a very disappointed birthday boy. They did give us one of the pre-made cakes from the freezer which was less expensive, but wouldn't make up the difference on what we already paid for the custom cake. It would have been nice to be offered something for messing up our order. :(

Nothing to complain about. Friendly staff who makes your ice cream concoction right there. The kids had a blast choosing what they wanted after a movie and it was gone in about 10 mins. They definitely were fans. Not cheap, about 6$ for a small cup. Probably the same as a Swirls Fro Yo.

Why are you ALWAYS out of toppings, especially marshmallows??? LITERALLY just walk across the parking lot and buy some jfc
