Cold Stone Creamery

I visited Cold Stone Creamery for a birthday treat, hoping for a sweet experience. While the cheesecake berries mix was delicious and the ladies behind the counter were friendly and attentive, the overall visit left much to be desired. The biggest issue? The ice cream melted shockingly fast. I opted for a cone, and before I could enjoy it properly, my strawberries dropped onto the floor. The paper cup provided didn’t help either—it dripped constantly, making it a messy and rushed experience. It was honestly the first time I had to eat ice cream so swiftly, just to avoid a complete meltdown. The store environment also needs attention. The floor and tables were quite sticky, which added to the discomfort. I’d strongly suggest the owner consider turning the air conditioning cooler to help with the melting issue and mopping the floor and wiping down surfaces more frequently to maintain a clean and pleasant atmosphere. Even I tried to cleaned my spot, it would still be sticky. Cold Stone has great flavors and service, but the ambience and presentation need improvement—especially if it’s meant to be a popular spot for signature ice cream. Get a cone on a bowl is a much wiser choice. Thank you for the nice service though!

The ice cream tasted good, but it was already a melting mess while they were adding the toppings on the slab. We had to quickly shovel down the ice cream faster than we wanted before it completely melted. The service was very good. Everyone was friendly. The problem is that the shop was at least 80 degrees inside. Also, the cone wrapper didn’t even prevent the melting ice cream from leaking everywhere. Fortunately we were holding it over the table.

Aya was very sweet and greeted us with a smile when my husband and I came in. She made wonderful ice cream suggestions. She definitely enhanced our ice cream experience.

Aya was awesome and friendly. She was by herself and dealt with 7 of us in a timely fashion. Keep up the good work. Thanks it was delicious

Get cotton candy and white chocolate chips it tastes like happiness could use less milk and I wish they had the “gotta love it” size for milkshakes but other than that it was fantastic worth it

Came here after a long day for some ice cream and ordered the cheesecake with blueberry and strawberry and marshmallow. They left out the marshmallows and when I told them they took it back out the cup and then told me they had no marshmallows. And it was all melted. I know its not that big of a deal but it was my first time at a coldstone :(

When you visit this place, you'll find the ice cream always hits the spot, but you might also notice the staff seem like they'd prefer to be anywhere else. The tables might not be as clean as you'd expect, and you could encounter a wet floor from some sort of leak. While the dessert itself is sure to delight, the overall experience could leave you wishing for a bit more care in service and cleanliness.

Food is extremely over priced, sugary, and not as fresh as other local options. Service...um no! Employees were texting and talking amongst each other. Very uncomfortable ambiance.

Ordered a birthday cake a week ago and prepaid.Went to pick up today and when we arrived., 20 minute wait while they looked for it and. no cake was made I am very disappointed When we arrived home M called and said they found it and we are going to pick it up

Luckily I have my own strong teeth. If I had veneers I'd be screwed. The cones are built Ford tough. Either the cones are super stale, making them really hard, or mixed with cement. The ice cream was good though, except for the chunk of paper I spit out. The girl that served me was really nice, but I didn't leave a tip. I figured since she charged me $8+ for a small cone, the tip may have been included. :)

09/26/24 there was 3 people working behind the counter and only one of them was actually doing anything such as helping the customers, cleaning the counter, and checking people out at the register. Most of the time one girl was the only one working while one was in the back and the other was doing other things

Kady was very very rude when assisting me tonight. I order a scope of ice cream and stated to her that I had a peanut allergy, she proceeded to instead clean the utensils she scooped my ice cream and gave it to me. The whole topping station was covered in peanuts then proceeded to ask me for a tip. I did not tip. I would give -0 stars if I could. Her attitudes towards my friends and I were very very rude, the store does not smell good either :/

I've been here a few times and it's usually pretty good. Lots of choices and friendly staff. Always want to get a cake to take home but never have. All around good ice cream place and loved that they had outdoor seating in the summer.

Showed up here tonight (08/14/2022) at 9:18 pm. The store hours show they close at 9:30 pm. We got here and walked up, one of the employees walked up to the door, opened it to tell us they were closed and proceeded to shut the door in our face and lock it. As someone who works in the food service industry, I know if you're open until 9:30, you SERVE people until 9:30.

Wish it was no star. Online says closes at 10pm. We went to go in at 9:35pm, opened the door and the young girls working were so incredibly rude, immediately yelling "We're closed". I'm 8 months pregnant, my 5 year old sister was present and they made her cry. Close earlier than 10? Then update your times online. Or maybe lock the door? Or maybe try and have some customer service? All would be a lot better response than what we received. Never visiting there again.

The outside trash can was overflowing and disgusting and upon entry we were promptly told to geat out of the store. We were then ignored when trying to pay for our ice cream because the cashier was talking with her friends visiting the store. There were no napkins in any of the dispensers in the store. We will not be returning to this location in the future. We will go to Cold Stone Creameries in other locations because we enjoy their ice cream but the service at this location was atrocious.

The only thing I can say is that the store was clean.... I guess. We ordered, my mom, my two daughters, and myself. Get to the register to pay, this young girl, looks at the money, runs it thru the counterfeit thing, and it says it's counterfeit. Now, anyone born before 91(ish) knows about old money. Even my older kids (17 and 16) know about old money). She accused us of passing counterfeit money, and proceeded to throw the money away. There needs to be some kind of education about old money, it wasn't fake, just old. She laughed at us, in front of other customers, made us feel like we were beneath her. Is that how you treat customers? Evidently so, at Cold Stone, by looking at the reviews. And trying to get a hold of a single manager? Not going to happen, unfortunately.

The woman working the cashier and making the ice cream was being very mean and treated my aunt, my cousin, and myself terribly and she had a major attitude. I normally love this cold stone but she was not very nice. She was working a monday at 3:00 pm today (November 23rd) with a marvel mask on.

The service is great and the employees are very accommodating to allergies etc. The store appears clean and I will be back soon!

Ice cream there tastes great, but it might as well be self service at this location. The staff definitely does not want to be there.

All my daughter wanted for her birthday was Cold Stone Ice Cream. It said they closed at 9:30 and we got there at 9:10 and the door was already locked!

I am seriously so disappointed and mad. Went in there with my son to grab a cup for both of us but I needed a minute to choose. While choosing, I see the two teenagers behind the counter looking at each other, the guy rolled his eye and walked away, the girl smirked and then looked back at me. Uuhm hello?! Wth was that. Rude! I even tried to explain and smiled and said "sorry but there are so many yummy flavors" and she just looked annoyed and asked what I want. My response!? "Nevermind" and I walked out. Worst customer service ever.

Absolutely decadent and delicious, albeit, a bit pricey. Still, as a once-or twice a year treat, it's fantastic.

DON'T COME HERE! I found a nasty blonde hair last night in the ice cream. They didn't do anything about it. The manager told me that she can replace it for free. WELL! LADY! We already paid for it and I don't know how long did the person didn't wash their hair, the oil, or if the person had dandruff! BLECH! GROSS!

Named one of the cleanest restaurants in Topeka with no health code violations in 2013. I think that's a great accomplishment and should be recognized. Oh yeah, their ice cream is great too!

After a longtime, I am having coldstone and it will be definitely as good as it should be... this place is small but perfect place to hangout for a quick time and new variety that I have tried here was too good...

Only come here when we have a "Buy 1 Get 1" coupon. With the coupon, the cost for a medium is almost reasonable. Fortunately if you register with the company, you receive BOGO coupons fairly frequently. Today I ordered the "mud pie mojo." Coffee ice cream, peanut butter, Oreo cookies, almonds and fudge. Decadent! And, O, so good. Small store with 4 tables in inside and 5 tables outside. Cleanliness could be better. There is still melted ice cream in the counter next to the cash register that was there when we paid 15 minutes ago. No one has wiped down any of the tables after customers left.
