Colectivo Coffee Mequon

Colectivo Coffee in Mequon is a great spot to cool down, especially on a hot day. Their pineapple smoothie was very refreshing and just the right balance of sweet and tangy. Perfect for beating the heat. The dining room was very clean and had a calm, welcoming vibe that made it easy to relax and get some work done. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, which was a nice bonus to my smooth, hassle-free visit. I'll have to come back to try one of their coffee drinks, next time. Colectivo in Mequon feels like a little oasis in the area. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

I like Colectivo, and this one is no exception. The place has a nice feel to it. Plenty of light, different seating areas, and a well organized counter to check out bakery or order food. The staff was pleasant and the Barista did a great job with my London Fog (btw they use Rishi concentrate which is very good). The special Pumpkin Scone was amazing! They have a separate outdoor seating area with a fireplace that is a great option.

Great coffee shop. Colectivo always has yummy food and drinks, and vegan options. Highly recommend their green goddess sandwich and spiced apple cider when the season comes. They even have live plants! Only downside, the wraps are a little pricey for the proportions.

I was in town for an appointment and was excited to grab a coffee and quick breakfast. Checked out the menu online and decided on an Oat honey iced latte that was on special, as well as the Vege Pesto Burrito, YUM! Service was friendly and fast, everything came out quickly, considering the place was pretty busy. Unfortunately, the burrito, was AWFUL. I don’t expect food I order to look identical to the pics online, but sort of similar, atleast get the size correct. This was absolutely overcooked, disgusting, inedible. I put the ramekin of “salsa” (more like marina) in the pic to show size comparison. I had high expectations because I have always heard such amazing things about Colectivo, I won’t be going back.

The cafe latte is very flavorful! Recently, I started drinking expresso at home, this is equally good. Unlike Starbucks you can actually taste the espresso. I am now a Colectivo coffee fan!

Great cafe with phenomenal coffee on tap. Lots of space to sit indoors and they have an outdoor gas fireplace. I've been coming here for years and love it each time I come.

1/18/22 Update: Had burrito breakfast wrap, turkey chili, cranberry muffin was awesome and the chi latte with carmel was delicious. The service is always wonderful. Great location in Mequon Love this place. The Ginger mango smoothie is fabulous.

After tasting great coffee in Milwaukee and the bar set so high by another coffee place I was hoping to get lucky but it didn’t go that way. Coffee is ok but nothing amazing as I was expecting also found it to be over priced. Friendly baristas and good customer service.

This is such a great location! And pretty much the only one this far north of the city. It's been awhile since I've been, but a recent visit reminded me it's a goodie. Stopped in with my little guy to grab a caffeine fix (for me) and treat (for him). I'd already had a coffee, so I was hoping for something else. On their seasonal menu I saw the Peachy Cream Matcha Latte and that just spoke to me. I'm a matcha gal already so I figure why not try it topped with fluffy cold foam. It was delightful and very in-season. Also grabbed a lemon lavender scone for my son and to no surprise he demolished it. Fave part about this location is their outdoor patio space. Very quaint and quiet. Gets lots of sun. It's so well-kept and gardened with various flower beds. Overall great vibes here!

I haven't gotten Colectivo in so long because their espresso used to not agree with me but thankfully I gave them another try and it was great! The Mequon location has the charm of every Colectivo with plenty of space to sit inside and outside. The staff were friendly and the iced honey cardamom latte was great. Definitely recommend!

Had a delicious pumpkin fluff latte and chipotle chicken sandwich. If you haven't tried the pumpkin fluff, you are missing out. It is seriously so good, best psl you'll find! Not too sweet, not too pumpkiny, the perfect fall blend. The chipotle chicken sandwich is one of my favorites for lunch too! I go between that and the green goddess.

I haven't been to a Colectivo I didn't like! This one has generous amounts of seating and I LOVE the outdoor space (despite road noise) and the fireplace is so cozy and inviting. I had the chorizo burrito (devoured before I could take a photo) and a seasonal latte. So so good. I'll definitely come back to this spot to hang.

1- the WiFi never works or very slow!!! Do something about the WiFi !!!! 2- still have to pay for non milk options 3- ordered a vegan burrito and was served a non vegan one.

Terrible service , not friendly at all. Can't get a simple order right . Asked her to remake my coffee drink and she refused never apologized. Bathrooms are truck stop clean.

I don't like Colectivo coffee at all, but they have the absolute best coffee shops in regards to atmosphere, layout, style etc and some of their other drinks are very good. Love the iced cold brew oatchata for example, a staple every time I go. And their espresso shake is also amazing. And they've got the best food of any other coffee shops as well, especially the breakfast burritos and sandwiches, top notch. And the service is always friendly and they keep the tables generally clean, which for some reason seems most coffee shops have a hard time doing.

Every time I visit Wisconsin, I'm excited to get breakfast at Colectivo. On this occasion, I had a perfectly flavored and toasted Impossible breakfast sandwich and my husband ordered a potato breakfast burrito and mocha. We also picked up low acidity Velo coffee beans -regular and decaf- for our French press. Yet another delicious visit to Colectivo in Mequon!

My friend and I met here this morning, which was it first time in a Colectivo-the last bag of whole beans I bought for home was Colectivo, so I was looking forward to this trip. They did not disappoint-the employees were very friendly, the cold brew with almond milk and caramel packed a delightful punch, and the orange cranberry muffin was delicious! I will be back, to this and locations throughout Mke!

As much as I love Colectivo's coffee, I can't stand the crabby attitude of many of the people who work here. I guess I might be crabby, too, tho, if I had to wait on all those entitled North Shore Nancy types. Sadly, no more curbside. Haven't been here in a while.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Now on my official BAN LIST! place was dead should have been my cue. Ordered a mocha people who had ordered only drinks after me in line served first. Asked the snotty child where my drink was answers its coming. Still more customers who came in after me and ordered not via the app served before me. Even had another customer or say to me sucks to be you. Man you have been waiting a long time. Finally ask the girl where my drink was oh its here at the end of these.? No issues running her mouth with idol chit chat with co workers. This was once a great place to go for a cup of coffee now it sucks and I wont go back service horrible not clean flies in the pastry cabnet just disgusting and disappointing!

First time at this location and love it! We were out visiting family in the area and wanted to stop by. So glad we did. The vibe here is great! The indoor outdoor space is my favorite of all the Colectivo locations. Their coffee is great as always. Wish I could bottle up the smell!

Stopped at this Colectivo with a large outdoor space and a fireplace, after a bike ride on the Ozaukee Interurban trail. Five stars all the way for the space. The indoor/outdoor space is pretty amazing and one could work remotely here for days! But although it was only mid-afternoon on a Saturday, staff seemed reticent to make the Summer Gala hibiscus tea w/lemonade special drink. I love the Colectivo Beers, and ordered a Lemongrass Pils. Although, there were no clean pilsner glasses, so I got a smaller pour in a Stout glass, which honestly did change the effervescent taste of the pilsner. Still, I love Colectivo's Milwaukee born and raised business vibe, and it's A-Okay up Mequon way! I'm sure we'll be back after another ride up the OZ trail.

Colectivo never disappoints, their coffee is superior to all! The vibes is on point always and staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

The ice cream drinks are good and their coffee is Uber strong. I always get half the amount of coffee and sugar free syrups to cut down on caffeine, sugar, and calories. The food is not so great anymore because everything is prepackaged and microwaved. The bakery is still decent but again microwaved so you decide if you need it warmed up. Microwaving changes the texture on food items and not for the better, in my humble opinion! I like this place overall but I have to admit the staff isn't all that friendly. They come off as kind of callous. When I ask about products, they usually don't know. They always seem indifferent. For example, Today I wasn't happy with the service and a food product. I quietly mentioned it to a staff member who never attempted to right the situation. I got that empty, "what do you want me to do look" so I shrugged, picked up my order from a shelf, access left. It's just coffee. Right? This is the coffee shop in my area. I can walk to it. My apartment building often gives us gift cards as rewards or incentives. I have never spent any of my own money here. I haven't been motivated to do so. Their indifference affects my wallet! I guess one day, they will wake up, literally smell the coffee, and start acting like they want my money. On that day, I might actually be inspired, to use something other than a gift card to pay for a treat! I just want to feel appreciated!

I stood at the register, waiting to order, I was the only one there. There were more employees than customers, I waited and watched them make expresso's for themselves. Never greeted me or acknowledged that I was there. 2 coffees and 1 rice bowl cost me 18 dollars. So this is what 15 an hour to goof offs looks like. At these prices, I think I will make my own coffee and rice.

Great coffee, and multiple milk options -- which is great for Wisconsin! Came from visiting a small farm town nearby (without a lot of options) and loved the variety of drink choices at Colectivo! And the waterfront shop is gorgeous

I visit this Colectivo a couple of times a year since it is a bit of a drive for me. I went there today and the service was amazing. I was helped by this wonderful lady named Madeline who made my day with conversation and even brought me my drink when I accidentally missed them calling my name!! She is a wonderful person and I will definitely be making the drive here to come to this cafe more often!!

It came to my attention the other day that I finally had stopped referring to Colectivo as Alterra (it's previous name.) That only took me maybe half a decade to do. Old habits die hard! We stopped in here on a bike ride - its just east off the ozaukee inter urban bike trail, and has a nice little patio with a ton of bike parking. Inside theirs tons of seating too. colectivo has kind of grown on me...I love their non-caffeinated iced sport tea, which they now offer with half juice (pineapple for the win!) They also have just a ton of interesting drinks - mostly coffee or tea related, obviously. A horchata, some sort of coffee - tea "mojito" drink, a day of the dead inspired drink. They also have smoothies. Although I usually pass, their bakery always looks awesome, and they have a ton of merchandise (mugs, bulk coffee, nice tshirts) for purchase. if you want water, by the sugar and milk table they have two spouts- one for still and one for sparkling water- the sparkling water was so refreshing - who knew? It tasted way better than the canned stuff. just east off the bike trail and diagonal from cafe hollander, it makes a great pit stop.

Sandwiches and bakery still solid although no fruit option as a side anymore...only chips. Staff is friendly but the Covid change to only bagged food picked up has taken some of the warmth of the interaction out of the environment. The really sad thing is the coffee. Limited choices and bitter. Considering the competition, I wonder what the deal is with the coffee. I have seen other similar reviews...why not address? Or at least offer a drinkable alternative.

My fiancé and I came here after a movie for a quick bite and some coffee. We were both really hungry and wanted to relax for a bit, and thought a coffee shop would be perfect. We got our drinks and as we're sitting there waiting for our food, a staff member came over to let us know they were closing. Huh? Not sure why they were closing at 2pm on a Saturday .. and for a second we thought our order had been forgotten about. I wish we would have been informed they were so close to closing time before we ordered or we would have preferred to go somewhere else for food. For the price it wasn't really worth the hassle and the way we felt rushed out.

If you like nitro coffee and oat milk, get the nitro oat milk latte. It was smooth, creamy, and foamy. Not sweet at all, which is what I prefer. My 7 year old had the sport tea which is always a winner. Slightly sweetened but not overwhelmingly so. He even had a sip of my coffee and declared he now wanted to drink coffee if it tasted like that. They're doing the social distancing thing right by only having outdoor seating.

Good food good location. Maybe less eclectic for some drinks and not melt what tastes like weak nacho cheese on breakfast sandwich.

I haven't been in a Colectivo since it was called Alterra. I stopped in the Mequon Colectivo today after getting a haircut. I ordered a big cup of half caff and a breakfast sandwich to go. I live a five minutes drive away. The coffee was ready right away, which meant it had the opportunity to cool down while I waited for the sandwich. Too bad it didn't just disappear. BITTER BITTER BITTER. Tasted like yesterday morning's coffee - nothing redeeming to it at all. I added a ton of half-and-half at home, and it still tasted bad. The sandwich - well, they weren't careful how they wrapped it, so it was all over the place - the top of the sandwich about 2" to the side of the rest. The English muffin was super chewy, like it was very old. The staff were very nice, and that's why I'm giving this place more than one star, but I won't be back. The instant coffee I keep at home is far better tasting than what I paid for at Colectivo.

I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years because the coffee has always been good. unfortunately, through the pandemic I've seen a different side of many places. the service has tanked even when they have like 5 extra people on staff standing around looking sulky. Then they struggle with basic customer service, there are few times that I still get a pleasant employee and experience. And of course the higher prices which is everywhere.

Very nice space with lots of nice touches, like sparkling water on tap! But the coffee is acidy (think fancy Dunkin' Donuts coffee that requires cream and sugar) and the slow service by unsmiling hipsters ruins the experience. (Some of them are delightful, but that's the minority) I waited 20 minutes from checkout to delivery for a burrito, without even an apology. It was during a rush, but I've slung coffee before and you plan for rushes. Bottlenecks at the kitchen and barista are managed well elsewhere, but not here.

My friend and I had some of the best coffee we've had in a long time here. Here's why: --Ambiance. Hey, it's Colectivo. They've mastered the art of hip, industrial warmth. And a great patio! It was so great that didn't realize the patio spot we picked out actually belonged to the neighboring Cafe Hollander. Oops! Not to be outdone, we serendipitously moved a Colectivo table and pair of chairs to a shady front spot. We were applauded by staff for being intrepid. We enjoyed our shade and proceeded to linger for two and a half hours. Of course we put our seats back neatly and precisely... --Coffee. It's consistently good and flavorful. The weekday necessity becomes a luxury when enjoyed at a leisurely pace with company. You can always count on Colectivo to be flavorful. --Convenient. I don't always go to Mequon, but when I do I love this little shopping center. So cute. A slight detraction is the parking, it's a bit hard to find, but no matter when it's a sunny Saturday. --All in all my trip to this Colectivo was awesome and allowed me to enjoy myself, slow down, relax and enjoy the moment - and the company of my friend. What more delightful experience do you need?

My favorite coffee. If I'm in Wisconsin I always buy a pound of beans. Food is healthy and delicious and it has such a cool vibe. They've done an excellent job with outdoor spaces a COVID safety procedures.

I hate the cold, so there arent many things about Wisconsin in March that excite me. Except Collectivo coffee which is one of my favorite coffee places in the country. Spacious, this location is great for enjoying a ham and cheese croissant and a small mocha. Welcome back to wisconsin, coffee is delicious.

Was excited to try this place but disappointed at the results. Cold brew was good but nothing special compared to other places I've tried. The worst part was the cinnamon roll. The first bite I took had a hint of onion and fennel to it. I contributed it to the roll being placed next to savory items in the display case. However, the longer I kept eating it, the worse the flavor got. Then, I was horrified to find several pieces of fennel seed at the bottom of the roll! I get flavors melding together due to large open display cases, but this was clearly negligence in cleaning plates/platters or cross contaminating two different food items. Sorely disappointed.

I work nearby and usually bring lunch. Qhen I dont, I'll grab a sandwich from here. Staff are always pleasant, wait time is usually 5 or so mins unless it's during peak lunch time. Their coffee is too strong for me so I skip that but I love their baked goodies (such as the chocolate croissant) & my FAV is the Turkey club sandwich on sourdough. It is soooo good. Bread is toasted, pesto mayo, bacon, cant ask for anything more! Sometimes I will not pack lunch just so I can come here for the sandwich.

Love Colectivo coffee but this location has a poor COVID 19 order setup. You can only order through the app, which doesn't work - it wouldn't find the Mequon location for me to place an order after I set up an account. More difficult than getting coffee should be. Left and went to Fiddleheads where you can walk up and order. In the ten minutes I was standing outside Colectivo I saw four other people walk up and turn around like I ultimately did.

Great coffee spot with outstanding customer service. I just bought some coffee to go but Cara made our stop so special with her big smile and caring personality. Go and visit them. A great place to sip a good drink and relax.

this place was delicious, the lavender matcha that I had was absolutely exquisite and the interior was super cute too, i wish i had more time to stop in and do a little bit of reading, but we had to get on the road

My go-to coffee shop. Colectivo is only 5 minutes from my house, and I drive past it all the time. The staff is friendly, fun, and the ambience is fantastic. They open the walls (garage-door style) in the summer and there's a fire pit out back when it's chilly. My favorite drink is the masala chai-- so delicious and a little spicy! Would give 10/10 if I could. Awesome place to get a drink and do homework! Now working here I see the other side. Colectivo treats its employees so well. It's a fantastic company.

Great coffee, great sweets (try the cinnamon roll), and great atmosphere. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a study/work spot, a place to meet up with a friend, or to read a book on the patio with a cup of coffee.

Just coming back from a semester in Europe and came to The Mequon location of Colectivo to feel the same scene I felt in a European cafe. I'd say this is the closest thing Milwaukee area has to offer. My experience was great, the staff friendly and helpful. I tried the El Dorado latte and the Lemongrass Pils. More super delicious and thought out drinks that are unique to them. Colectivo is no Starbucks, let me tell you that. The one thing that bothered me compared to European cafes was that you have to indicate that you are having your drink in the cafe, and therefore if you are then you get a glass mug. It is so wasteful to provide paper cups for drinks in the cafe. For such a trendy and modern cafe they need to take more steps to become eco-friendly, and they do not have recycling either for these cups. I was very disappointed with these aspects, but I will be coming back.

Nice place to get work done. People are nice and the outdoor seating area has a warm fireplace.

Great tasting vanilla latte, and if I got time I'll stop. Problem is they are a little slow sometimes. Three employees behind counter, 2 gabbing, one making drinks and stopping occasionally to gab with the other two.

This is a very nice coffee house in Mequon. I love this place as it's both a great place to study or to even come with friends. In the summer they open the wall up and have access to a great patio. Overall the coffee is very good and there are good dood options for lunch (though a little on the pricey side).

Alex happens to be the best barista in the area. Really shows in his cappuccinos. Makes my day when I see him behind the counter. Great location.

This is probably my favorite Colectivo coffee location. There's plenty of room to sit both inside and outside. Coffee is always great and the people who work there are young and friendly. I come here at least twice a week since I work in the area and I have yet to be disappointed.

Friendly, welcoming staff, good coffee and an array of pastries, salads and sandwiches. I still don't quite identify with the new name but I'll get over it. Comfortable seating etc....

I had a frappe with dark chocolate. 5 bucks for a large which is expensive like all coffee places except this place was worth it. The girl that took my order was nice and helped explained the items. The frappe was soooo good. The dark chocolate was good with the coffee and the drink was creamy. The Italian soda was good. It was cheaper than most items. You can pick your flat and or mix. Very good. I'd come back more often if you were closer to me.
