Coleraine

I really like this station as it is modern and well-layed out and has plenty of services. There is plenty of clear signage stating where you need to go for your train or bus. Also, there is plenty of space on the platforms and inside the building for waiting. It is easily accessible with lifts and a ramp. The food at Ground is mediocre at best and there aren't many tables at it so sometimes that bit is crowded. When I visited, the toilets (which are usually quite clean) were closed for some sort of renovation. They used to have people at the ticket office to get tickets from but now it is almost always closed and you now have to use the ticket machines, however there is usually someone at the information desk to help if you need it. (Some days it's a friendly bloke sometimes it is not) As well as using the station to go places, I have gone train spotting here countless times as it has been my lifelong hobby. However in recent times it has become a lot more difficult as a new security guy now patrols the station and it makes me nervous to go and film trains. Anyways, it is still a decent station but not as good as it used to be.

Comfortable and clean trains. Station itself has plenty of seats for waiting. Ground Coffee is handy and very tempting. Staff are helpful.

I will start by saying that nobody answers the phones there, is a joke. They can not be bothered. The level of customer service was really bad, the guy in charged on Friday evening 27 June, probably out of personal frustration decided to man up in front of some 15 years old girls. 😡He was really really rude to them. Not to say that they were coming from Portrush and the train was substitute by bus, bus was late and they missed the train and had to wait for 1 hour and 20 minutes for the next train, which was 20 minutes late. Just a bad service from top to bottom.

This is the bathroom I took my daughter into on Sunday afternoon. There was no cleaning staff anywhere in the building that I could see.

I'm from Derry City and have been through my own wee mental battles on "should I accept Londonderry as an alternative name". Btw from which I have accepted it because a small percentage of the population of my city would like the London in Londonderry to stay. Use both then. However. When I come to the coleraine train stain I am presented with a destinations name I don't agree with and who seemingly the people who are putting the destinations on the board agree with, i am but a wee bit confused? They don't even live in the city who's destination they are naming. Is @translink going to standardize the names? I know in Derry it has been because I am constantly confronted with Londonderry and Derry being used all the time.

Everything you need in a train station. Seating, coffee shop, vending machines, ticket counter with helpful staff (sometimes a bit too helpful when the queue is long!). Buses depart from the station making transfers easy.

Train was spotless - the only downside is that the temperature is far too hot in the carriages. No other complaints at all though!

When purchasing my ticket had to wait until the guy finished his conversation before he served me then give me ticket without even looking my way stil looking behind at his work mates..customer service? Zero!
