Coletta Italian Vegan Restaurant

We visited here for an early birthday dinner on February 15. It’s been on our want to go since we love Willow. As a family, we love pasta and haven’t found an Italian vegan restaurant yet, so we had high expectations. I think our expectations were a bit too high and therefore our review will be a reflection of that. 🍄 The Crispy Calamari (compared to Willow’s) was ok. 😩 🥩 Steak Tartare and Black Caviar not for us. 😒 (Texture, temperature, flavor.) 🥫 Puttanesca Meatballs absolutely delicious! 🤤 The garlic knots and sauce were divine. However, I wish the meatballs were made with mushrooms (instead of Beyond? Impossible?) 🍕 Wild Mushroom Truffle pizza was ok. The crust was crispy yet soft. The topping is not something we would choose typically, but we were trying new options and stepping out from our comfort zone. 🍝 Sausage Ravioli was ok. 😩 I was looking forward to this the most. Sadly the broccolini was the best, but there were only 2 pieces, it was flavored so good. The ravioli tasted fresh, made in house which is great, but it tasted undercooked. 😩 🩷 What made this place great was there are more options to try, so we will definitely return. The busser was amazing!! He kept checking in on us and clearing the table. Our waitress in the beginning (Bridget?) was very nice. She was helpful and friendly. The ambience is beautiful and felt romantic. 🥰 Our waitress towards the end wasn’t as great as the first, but it could be because it started to get busy around 5 p.m. We felt as though we were forgotten. We had to ask about dessert after waiting for a while (we chose not to get any), I got a tea, but then had to wait for the sugar, then wait for the bill. Overall, we’d come back to try some different options AND the 🍞 Parsley Garlic Knots.

Superb vegan experience. The mock meat had texture, flavor and matched each dish perfectly. The flavors of the eggplant and pastas were complemented with rich and fresh sauces with an infusion of herbs. We finished with and incredibly delicious vegan flan with strawberry coulis. The staff were warm and very helpful deciding flavors and complimenting dishes. An excellent evening with such a variety of tasteful options. Having just visited Italy and tasted the wonders across many of its provinces, Coletta delivers on a truly Italian experience with the boldness of its flavors sustained in the vegan presentation.

We had an amazing dinner last night and thoroughly enjoyed every course. Lucy gave us great service. A wide variety of Italian dishes adapted with vegan ingredients like caprese salad, ravioli, and tiramisu. Several options in each course could be adopted for gluten free diets. We would definitely go back the next time we visit NY.

The sauce that came with the puttanesca meatballs was the best tomato based sauce I’ve ever had. Paired perfectly with the garlic knots which were delicious. 10/10. The margherita pizza was good. The crust had a light crisp and was soft. Probably wouldn’t get the pizza again. 7/10. We also got the Lumache alla vodka. This was also delicious. 8/10. The tiramisu was 10/10 and so was the chocolate dome dessert. Service was great as well. Can’t wait to go back!

I'm not vegan. I'm usually heavy into meat. I went with some friends who are vegan. The food was really good and much better than I expected. I Really enjoyed each meal. Great spot to eat at!

I went in on a Thursday and sat at a nice cozy table. The staff were very warm and welcoming. I ordered the kiss & tell mocktail (so tasty!) while I waited for my food. I ordered the meatballs with a side of truffle mash and the broccolini. I didn’t expect to eat it all but everything was so good, I couldn’t help myself! Since I always have room for dessert, I got their tiramisu and it was delicious, of course.

The food was delicious! We got the focaccia, eggplant lasagna, tiramisu and mushroom pizza, all outstanding. Definitely the options are heavier in carbs vs having more veggies but everything was so good and not too heavy either. Staff was very friendly and attentive and such a nice vibe inside!

Came back after 3 years and Coletta is still the best spot for vegan Italian! We had the Crispy Calamari, Short Rib Agnolotti, and Saffron Salmon Risotto, every dish was a 10/10 ⭐️ The cozy, low-lit ambiance feels wonderfully romantic, and the service is warm and welcoming. Highly recommend! 💯

This is by far the BEST VEGAN restaurant I've been in. I went with a friend and we absolutely loved everything. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict and it was the bomb. Fresh and very satisfying. Perfect ambience and the service was amazing. Kevin was the absolute best. Friendly and very welcoming. He definitely provided us the best customer experience. Can't wait to visit again.

Words cannot express how amazing this place is. My husband and I just eloped in NYC with close family and this was our pick for dinner after the ceremony. We ate here back in June and were completely obsessed. Going in a bigger group further confirmed the quality for me as I got to try a bunch of additional dishes. There wasn't a single thing I tried that I can't see myself ordering. The number one must-get in my opinion is the tiramisu. I don't even love tiramisu that much usually but this one may just be my favorite dessert of all time. The service was also spot on. I would definitely go here all the time if I geographically could!

Been there twice before, great food and service. Last night, however, I was not impressed. The hostess led us to a table positioned in the middle of a busy walkway. We've dined there before and know that staff frequently pass through that area. My husband didn't even have room to place his scarf and gloves. I politely asked if we could be seated at one of two open tables by the wall (let's call them Table A and Table B). The hostess declined, saying, "Those tables are reserved. When you book, you can choose your preferred table." I explained that I had booked online twice before, and even on this occasion, there was no option to select a specific table, but she insisted it was possible. Less than a minute later, two women arrived and were seated at one of the tables I had just requested (Table A). They immediately asked if they could sit elsewhere and were told no, as those other tables were also "reserved." I approached them and asked whether they had chosen Table A when booking. They said they had not. At that point, I felt misled. I do not appreciate being lied to, especially when I've been a returning customer -- and it happened on my birthday. On the way out, I informed the hostess of what we'd learned and left. Honesty and hospitality matter just as much as good food.

Shocked by these 5 star reviews (maybe we caught them on an off night?). Totally flavorless pastas (vodka pasta + cacio e pepe), the mushroom calamari was fried way too hard, and the bottom of the pizza crust was bordering on undercooked but the toppings were so good. The saving grace was the absolutely heavenly cheeseboard: blue cheese, cashew camembert, dill-crusted goat cheese, brie, caper berries, figs and fig jam, candied pecans, and these incredible balsamic-laced crostini. Every flavor combination made for the perfect bite.

Overall the food was not too bad for a vegan place. The crispy citsmari was pretty good. Would highly recommend the Wild Mushroom Truffle pizza, that dish stole the show. The pasta dishes themselves were alright. Service was sub-par. Felt like our waiter was really trying to rush us out on a Friday evening. Inside, its pretty dim lit, but had a nice layout overall.

The food is sooo flavorful and rich. Highly recommend the calamari, chicken, and tiramisu. Service was attentive overall. Place has a nice classy ambiance. Great for date night. However, it is a bit tight and chairs were okay and not the most comfortable. I will be going back!

Amazing dining experience! Our waitress was very attentive and the food was delicious. My mom and I ordered the chicken caesar salad, crispy calamari, fig jam and prosciutto pizza, and the tiramusu to end the night. My mom is not vegan so she was particularly impressed with the calamari and how spot on the flavor and textures were. I wasn't a fan of the prosciutto but the pizza overall was really good. It's not often that I'm able to indulge in vegan tiramisu so that was such a treat.

Waw!! Firstly, the food, ambiance, and staff were all amazing, making it an unforgettable evening. Secondly, all of the food was plant based and kosher certified. We started with the incredible warm bread with olive oil, and fig jam. The JAM!! Give me 5. For mains, the rich, slightly spicy tomato vodka sauce pasta and the luxurious short rib ravioli were absolute highlights. We finished our night sharing a pumpkin cheesecake with a chocolate ganache and a latte. FOOD HEAVEN! The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and truly amazing. Definitely returning when we come back into town.

I really enjoyed my dinner experience at Coletta Food: we got a few different things to try. My favorite was their version of calamari and risotto. The calamari was crispy and the texture of the mushrooms inside was cooked perfectly. The outside of the calamari was perfectly crispy and not oily. The risotto was creamy and flavorful. Service: Everyone was very friendly and helped by answering all our questions. They also checked in on us often to ensure we had everything we needed. Ambiance: I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. It's cozy and intimate. The seats are comfortable and I really like the theme of modern elegance. The food came out in dishes to enhance the look.

A fully vegan Italian restaurant- hell yes! I miss eating Italian food so much when I found this vegan restaurant I was so excited. The waitress Maria was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided great recommendations to try. I tried everything I posted and it was all a 10's across the board. Absolutely delicious, I will be dreaming about this restaurant. I was so amazed at how the Salmon tasted like the real thing but it was vegan, mind blown. It was very intimate but a great experience with my family. I honestly can't pick a favorite dish because it was all just so delicious. This was also my first time trying Panna Cotta and it was so refreshing. I honestly cannot wait to go back and try more dishes. I wish this restaurant was in Houston!!

An ALL-VEGAN ITALIAN RESTAURANT?! Yes, please! And of course it has to be in NYC, where anything you can imagine when it comes to food is available at your fingertips! I came here on the recommendation of a friend and decided to come by on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The entrance could have been easily missed if I had not been paying attention. Once I got seated, I was able to look through a menu with a beautiful lavender color. I knew right away I would get items that would be hard to find elsewhere as a vegan option. I ended up ordering fried "calamari", "squid" ink ravioli, and vanilla ice cream to finish. The fried calamari was absolutely delicious! It was meant to be an appetizer but I gobbled it all up like it was a whole meal! The calamari was actually mushroom, and so it had a chewy texture on the inside. The sauces it came with were tomato and oil-based. Next up was the ravioli. It didn't taste unique in any particular way, but I appreciated the dark color. It had a little bit of an umami kick to it, but again nothing to memorable except for how it looked. I was surprisingly still hungry enough for dessert! So ice cream it was. It was made with coconut milk, so the texture was super stretchy and creamy! It was topped with a cookie crumble and sauce, so all-in-all it was a lovely treat. I then learned that they have several sister restaurants---including all vegan Mediterranean, Mexican, and sushi restaurants! They are definitely on my list for the next time I am in NYC!!

Loved the experience at Coletta! It was amazing to try so many vegan dishes that tasted so good and as a vegetarian, experience some of the meat based dishes that I could never try otherwise. The calamari was soo good and crispy and tasted great with the sauces. Loved the hot honey pizza as well! And the risotto was also a good addition to our meal! Definitely would come back!

After two plus decades vegetarian, this was the type of NYC restaurant I would dream of as a kid. The menu is full of classics that I never would have the opportunity to try other wise. The Coletta Chicken Caesar was crunchy, creamy, and hit the spot. The chicken was tasty and textured, and my carnivorous partner loved every bite too. The hot honey pizza was delicious. A delightful build of heat with crema and great crust. Cocktails were great as well, my Fumo Di Mare was amazing. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders were super lovely and attentive. The restaurant is cozy and well lit. We had a memorable Valentine's Day and left with a list of dishes I can't wait to go back to try.

Coletta has a stunning ambiance, making it an excellent spot for a date or a special night out. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, setting high expectations for the dining experience. Unfortunately, the food doesn't quite match up. It's overpriced for what you get--our steak dish came was interesting but I wouldnt say tasty, and while the chicken parmesan was decent, overall, the flavors were just okay. Worth trying once, but not a place I'd revisit. The real deal-breaker, though, was the service. Our waiter got oddly pushy when the check arrived, trying to collect it before we were even finished eating. When we went back in to request a receipt, they flat-out ignored us, despite us tipping 20% despite receiving minimal service. To be fair, other tables seemed to have a better experience with different servers, but our encounter was bad enough that I wouldn't go back or recommend it.

This was my sister and my first visit to Coletta, and it was wonderful! Beautiful space! Very friendly, welcoming and professional service and hospitality! The food was terrific! We began with the Wild Mushroom Truffle pizza that was fabulous! We enjoyed the Eggplant Lasagna that was delicious! We finished our dinner with one of the best Tiramisu! Coletta is the best restaurant in the neighborhood! We were so happy to meet Chef Guy to tell him how much we loved our dinner. My sister and I can't wait until our next dinner at Coletta!

A friend of mine recommended me to try Coletta and we decided to come here to treat ourselves after nursing school exams. I'm so happy this vegan restaurant is so close to my school! Honestly, I wouldn't even think it was vegan food if I hadn't known it was vegan. I'm not vegan myself, but the food tastes so much like the non-vegan counterpart! The ambiance is perfect for a date night or if you want to catch up with friends :) We came here on a Thursday evening for dinner. It gets busy in the evening, so I suggest making a reservation. Our waitress was friendly. She brought all of our food out at once, which was much appreciated! Everything on the menu sounds so intriguing, you will most likely end up ordering more than one dish! Ultimately, my friend and I decided on the Spaghetti Carbonara, Hot Honey Pizza, and the Wild Mushroom Truffle Pizza. Here is my take on these: Spaghetti Carbonara - this had such a nice aromatic flavor! Very good with the seasoning. The pasta was cooked perfectly. And I loved the bits of "pancetta" inside. Hot Honey Pizza - the first pie we tried. Surprisingly really spicy! If you're a spicy food fan, then this should be your choice. The pizza dough was great quality - thick and soft with a nice crisp. Nice drizzle of honey on top. Wild Mushroom Truffle Pizza - very generous with the mushrooms and super truffle flavor. The caramelized onions complemented it well. Like the Hot Honey Pizza, they gave a generous portion. Can easily be shared with a few people. I can't decide if I liked this or the Hot Honey Pizza more. I really liked both! Last but not least, we ordered the pistachio ice cream. Also a generous portion! But it was okay. I would have liked to taste some more pistachio flavor. The fig inside was good! But next time, I would probably order a different dessert. Although prices are a little high, I really think it's worth it for the food. Highly recommend and I will definitely explore more of the menu soon!

Ive come here 4 times now and I absolutely love it. Calamari, hot honey pizza, and chocolate cake is all you need!! Staff is super sweet and always coming to check in on you. Tables are a bit close together for my liking but i keep returning anyways for the food! I felt some of the other dishes like the mushroom pasta were un flavorful and didnt love the texture of the Pana cotta. Absolutely love chef guy vankins restaurants!!

The service, ambiance, and food were all 10/10! Our server, Kevin, was amazing and really helped us decide from among all the mouth-watering options on the menu. We enjoyed every bite of the Puttanesca Meatballs, Fig Jam and Prosciutto Pizza, and for dessert: Coletta Tiramisu (see photo)! Excellent experience, all around. Highly, highly recommended.

We went with family to celebrate an anniversary -- so we reserved in advance. As we had enjoyed sister restaurants (Anixi and Sentir), we wanted to try this one. Similar to those, we ordered several dishes to share -- though we had to ask which were gluten-free. It would have been easier if the menu were labeled. We had the chicken Caesar salad and two pizzas (mushroom and margarita) to start. All were okay -- not fabulous but good enough. I had the fig salad which was great, one person had ravioli, and two people had the Cacio e Pepe -- I think they were enjoyed but not blown away. The broccolini was very good and the pistachio ice cream we shared was good. The service was good and the restaurant was sufficiently comfortable. It didn't rank as well in my book as Sentir or Anixi, but it was still good.

Ohh I really enjoyed Coletta! The restaurant is intimate and cozy but doesn't feel so tight - I very much appreciated the layout here. Service was fantastic - so many offerings sound good so we tried a few different plates, but didn't want to overcrowd our small table. Our waitress offered to stagger our orders so we could enjoy multiple plates which worked out perfectly. Now onto the food... and I'll preface this with I'm not vegan at all, but have had plenty of vegan foods. - Chicken Caesar Salad with balsamic glazed chicken was a surprise hit for me. The sweetness of the balsamic paired well with the rest of the salad and I could've eaten this as a meal alone! - Tagliatelle Al Ragu had really great, deep flavor but I couldn't taste any of the spicy from the meat they use. - My partner really enjoyed the ricotta ravioli, I had a taste and wasn't wowed but as someone who can't eat dairy, they were pleased! - Parsley Garlic Knots...I mean, it's bread it's delicious! - Strawberry Panna Cotta was a creamy delicious end to our meal!

SERVICE - located off of 3rd ave and 26th street - good amount of seating so you are likely to get a table even if you do not have a reservation - ambiance suitable for a semi casual/nicer occasion - servers were very friendly and warming and provided thorough recommendations on what to order - food served quickly MENU - Italian inspired appetizers, pizza, pasta, and entrees - all vegan/vegetarian with gluten free options available - slightly pricier ($27 per pizza) FOOD - cultured cheese board (10/10): one piece each of cashew camembert, smoked chili goat cheese, garlic and dill chevre, and blue cheese accompanied by fresh figs, candied pecans, capers, pepperoni, fig jam, and sourdough crostini. This is probably the best vegan cheese board i have ever tried. Each cheese was unique in both flavor and texture. Choosing a favorite among the four options was so challenging because of how nuanced they were. The paired items enhanced the cheeses, especially the sweetness from the figs and the smokiness of the pepperoni. I thought the green balls were olives initially but upon clarifying with the waiter, he told us they were a special variety of capers. I would highly recommend ordering this as an enticing start to your meal. - hot honey pizza (9/10): mozzarella and lemon ricotta topped with hot cherry peppers, truffle honey, crema, red onion, and chives. This was recommended to us by our waiter and it was a solid choice. As someone who usually puts extra chili flakes on pizza, I did not even think to reach for the bottle as the hot cherry peppers packed a fiery punch. The lemon ricotta was a nice brightness that cut through the creamy cheese and added a relief from the heat. My only critique is that i did not taste the truffle in the honey which could be due to the variety of other flavors in the dish. - fig jam and prosciutto pizza (7/10): house made fig jam, fresh figs, prosciutto, and arugula on a crema base drizzled with balsamic glaze. The only reason I did not like this pizza as much as the other one is because I am not used to the meaty taste and texture of prosciutto. That aside, the balance of flavors was spot on. I really liked the combination of the sweet fig with the bitter arugula. I also enjoyed how this pizza was not drowned in sauce and let both the crust and the toppings shine in balance. WOULD I GO BACK? Absolutely! This has become one of the best vegan Italian places I have been to.

The vibe inside here is nice, it's intimate without feeling too tight. On a Friday night around 9p it was maybe 75% full, you could probably make it without a reservation. To start, I tried the Kiss & Tell mocktail and it was sweet & refreshing! I don't think a mocktail should be that similar in price to an actual cocktail but it sneakingly was. For appetizers, we had the steak tartare and the cheese board. I haven't actually had steak tartare before but this tastes close to how I imagine the real thing to be with the briny "caviar" on top. I really enjoyed the cheese board but my friend wasn't as much of a fan; pointing out that the cheddar wedge tasted too strongly of liquid smoke. I thought that some of the wedges were better than others with my favorite being the blue cheese. The fig jam was excellent and complimented the different cheeses well. For entrees, we had the fig & prosciutto pizza as well as the tagliatelle ragú. The pizza was a nice combination of sweet & savory with the balsamic glaze. The pizza itself could have been charred a bit more but I overall enjoyed it! The ragú was really nice, I believe they make the pasta itself fresh here. We also tried the side of the kale gratin and this was the only dish that wasn't good. It wasn't creamy at all and was oddly watery on the bottom. The kale was also too salty and it overall was hard to want to eat. We ended on dessert and the lavender dark chocolate lava cake sounded exciting but ultimately fell short as there was no discernible lavender flavor. This also wasn't really a lava cake as there was no melted chocolate in the center. There was a small scoop of some sort of chocolate cream on top and chocolate poured on the plate; but again, not actually a lava cake. I don't know if dessert is their strong suit, but the creativity in the main dishes definitely makes up for it.

The food here is heavenly and a feast for the eyes. Our pictures do not do our dishes justice. We had the mushroom truffle pizza, eggplant lasagna, a kale gratin, and a chocolate hazelnut bomb. Every dish was bursting with flavor and filling. Despite the fact that I'm a bottomless pit, I couldn't finish the pizza and asked the waiter to put the remaining two slices in a box, which, sadly, I left on the table. Ambiance and service were great too.

I really enjoyed the lasagna. The tomato sauce was bright and savory with some herb flavor, the pasta had a nice texture with just a little bit of a bite, and the filling inside was hearty. The rolls make for an attractive presentation compared to the standard rectangular layered format. It's pretty easy to forget that the dish is vegan. The meal was a bit pricey at $34 after tax and tip, but worth it.

Omg! Finally vegan Italian food I actually loved! I celebrated my bday here with a group of 13 and they were so nice and accommodating! The menu was prefixed so we didn't get to try everything but you know I had to come back a second time to try new dishes. Can't wait to be back a third time. The ambiance is sexy and cozy, perfect for date night!

This place is amazing--the food, the people, the ambiance. For our last night in NYC, we couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. We started with Puttanesca Meatballs - very delicious. I chose the Ricotta Ravioli and my friend, Campanella al Tartufo. OMG both entree were amazing. I would return to NYC just to visit here again. Everyone was so pleasant and accommodating. The manager, Ariano, took time to chat with us. Congrats to Coletta!!

Such a great restaurant! Beautiful ambiance, and the food was delicious. The vibes were immaculate and the food tasted non vegan! Such a cool concept. Service was AMAZINGG as well.

If you're looking for vegan Italian food, Coletta is way better than its competitor, Soda Club. I only went to Soda Club once but I found the food mediocre and the service horrible (a two hour wait for two pasta dishes!). Coletta has a great ambiance (though it's loud when busy), and delicious dishes. My favorite is the Carbonara. The food here is definitely heavy on the oil, so if you're not into that, I wouldn't recommend it. But like all the City Roots restaurants, it appeals to meat eaters with its good fake meat options and other vegan lookalike foods.

Coletta is the best of the best! I love coming here for special occasions. We always get great service and the food is so good. The tiramisu is a must, and you can't go wrong with any of their pizzas!

TLDR: Service was inattentive and insincere. Steak Tartare was good. Everything else not so much. Perhaps i chose the wrong menu items but doubtful. 3 stars- 2 obligatory stars because its a vegan restaurant and + 1 star because the tartare was good Went in for dinner after a long day. I was hungry and so excited to sit down to have a nice meal. The hostess must have been new or something because she seemed to be confused about why I was there. She eventually gestured to the bar where I sat and had a meal. I ordered the Steak Tartare, Sunchoke and Scallop Risotto and tiramisu. The dishes came out quickly and at the right times. Loved the tartare. Great flavor and texture. The risotto came out undercooked. The rice was chalky and hard. I tried to eat around it and ultimately sent it back because it was inedible. I should've cut my losses but instead i ordered the sausage ravioli. While waiting for the ravioli the manager(?) came over to "explain" that the texture of the risotto was because it was a "gluten free" rice and it expands. I was really confused because rice is always gluten free...I am not sure if it was a micro-aggression or she was trying to save face, but it was incredibly annoying because I love risotto and I have eaten enough rice in my life to know when it is fully cooked and when it is not. Some bites of the ravioli were good. The filling to pasta dough ratio seemed off. The filling was a dime sized ball of sausage and there was too much pasta. It was all very dense and heavy. The tiramisu was bland and has no espresso (or any other) flavor whatsoever The food was a disappointment but what made it worse was the service. It started with the hostess and continued up the chain. I was the only person sitting at the bar but had to flag the bartender down at every step of service. My glass of water was empty and never refilled. The manager "checked in" to see if everything was okay with the ravioli but didn't notice the empty glass. The food runners were great in the brief moments they stopped by. Maybe it was a bad day for the staff. It was definitely a bad dinner for me. i walked back to my hotel feeling full/heavy and unsatisfied. I should have stayed in and ordered food from somewhere else.

I have eaten at almost all of the sister restaurants (Willow, Beyond Sushi, and Anixi), and I can safely say that they don't miss. Coletta is the latest in the plant based restaurant series that I've tried, and everything was phenomenal. My friend who does eat meat even was amazed by how similar the crispy "calamari" was to actual calamari. The garlic knots are a must. And definitely don't leave without the lava cake. The only minor thing which didn't impact the experience too much was that it was hard to get a hold of our server so we were left waiting a little longer than we would've liked to order and to get the bill. The food came out on time though which mattered more.

Came here for dinner and had a pleasant time. I had a reservation for 6 but they sat us a bit earlier which was nice. There is a nice selection of options and all of the specials sounded delicious - especially the cacio e Pepe. Serving sizes were good and the food was tasty. I will say that it could use a dash of more salt. Food came out super quickly and was very fresh. Service was great and very attentive. The restaurant is quite nice and clean. Perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Would come back.

What an awesome place the food is simply exceptional. As a vegan this gave me back my favorite item the ability to have choice on a menu! This restaurant was loved by the vegans and non vegans that had dinner with us last night. We were all amazed at how delicious the food is. The meatball appetizer blew our minds. The sausage ravioli in vodka sauce was as good as any ravioli I've ever had. The service was impeccable. The waiter was so attentive and provided excellent recommendations. Love the look and feel of the restaurant. The environment is so conducive to enjoying a wonderful meal

We went to Coletta to celebrate my friend's birthday. It was wonderful! A perfect martini, loved the calamari, amazing risotto, chicken parmigiana was wonderful and our 2 desserts (tiramisu and chocolate lava cake) were phenomenal. Looking forward to going back!

I came here with my baby in a stroller to meet my friend who also had her baby with her in a stroller. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and our babies. They shifted tables and even attached an extra table for us in case we needed more room. We were so comfortable and it made the dining experience so much better. The food was phenomenal! We started with the cheese board and calamari. I can't believe the cheeses were vegan! This was the best tasting vegan cheese. I had to double check that it was vegan. The calamari was crispy and the dipping sauces stole the show. They had this oil based dip with herbs which was divine. We also ordered the mushroom pizza and eggplant lasagna which were both tasty! I would definitely come back because of the friendly staff and also the delicious food!

Holy wow, this place is incredible. The waitstaff and bartenders were lovely, the food was incredible. A dream. I am recommending this to everyone I know, vegan or not. The cheese plate - I wouldn't have known they weren't real cheese. The only thing was that the Bleu cheese wasn't a "funky" as a regular blue. But the texture was spot on, and it was delicious anyway. Highly highly recommend. Cocktails were great too.

The service was great and the waiter Eric was phenomenal! As always, the food was prepared on time & seasoned to perfection.

Delicious vegan Italian food!! Been here a few times so far and it is easily one of my favorite vegan restaurants in New York City. Highly recommend trying the pizza here. The crust is PERFECT- slightly crispy out the outside with a nice chewy dough on the inside WOW. I thought Double Zero was my favorite vegan brick oven/wood fired style pizza, but after trying Coletta it is even better. I have tried the meatball pizza, and the mushroom truffle pizza. Both are great! Truffle is def is great option if you love mushrooms. They have a large variety of appetizers- recommend the vegan calamari made of mushrooms. For pastas, I really enjoyed the pasta vodka which usually isn't vegan- the sauce is slightly creamy but not too heavy. The "squid ink" ravioli is very unique. I remember not liking the Alfredo too much? A bit too heavy, but could be personal taste. I think you just have to see what you order throughout your meal, and balance things out. I would recommend mixing tomato based and non-tomato based (creamier) items! Tiramisu here is a delicious way to round off the meal- great coffee and liqueur flavor. Drinks are ok- depends if you like cocktails with your meal. They do have a vegan espresso martini so that's a nice option. They seem to always have specials so there should be something new to try! Service was wonderful, in addition to a beautiful restaurant. Great ambience- stylish, modern but still cozy. Nice all-occasion place, whether it is for a celebration, date or catch up with friends. Overall, this will be a place I will be returning to time and time again for a wonderful vegan meal!

Crazy good plant based Italian! I've gone three times now and I can't say anything about this place wasn't great- The atmosphere is dim and rustic and inviting, the pizza is probably the best I've had, and the "mushroom calamari" was amazing. Also-the tiramisu was *chefs kiss* Very good service too.

I almost wish I had more vegan friends so I could return to Coletta for more meals, but alas my friend circle is mostly omnivorous and would rather not eat plant based. I may have to return on my own, for the food and ambience here is why they're still successful years after they opened, in a punishing market on a block where the turnover is high. You should definitely order the crispy calamari. The king oyster rings imitate the real thing so well that my vegan friend who does not enjoy anything that hints at tasting like flesh avoided it. For something more vegetable forward, try the fried artichokes. You also can't go wrong with a lemon ricotta toast, theirs topped with pistachios, fennel pollen, lemon zest, and micro mint. I'm salivating as I type this. You could do worse than to share a number of their pizzas. Whether it's the fig jam and prosciutto with crema parmesan and aged balsamic or the wild mushroom truffle. This place gives Double Zero, the former king of vegan pizza in a fancy sit down space a run for its money. Their wine and cocktail list is so robust you may need your server to point you to some recommendations, like I did, paralyzed by so many options. They even have an entire section dedicated to hot coffee cocktails, which I didn't know one needed 4 options for, but in the age of the espresso martini craze, I suppose this makes sense. This place would be perfect for a celebration, date, or even just a special night out. I think needing to have meat in your meal for it to feel complete is very passé, especially now when we have beautiful vegan establishments like Coletta.

Food was impeccable and of a very old school take on Italian flavor. You could taste the smoke coming off the ravioli before putting it in your mouth somehow. I took my fiancé and his father out for my graduation dinner and I'm happy to report that all of our appetizers and meals were absolutely perfect, but the ravioli was the one to die for. The bread had the perfect amount of oil on the crust, with many unique sauces coming along with other app that we got. The venue overall is really lovely, lights dim, cool plates and modern vibes. I'm glad I saved visiting Colette for a special occasion. The service was decent, I ordered more than 1 fancy cocktail so that really says something. I will be back!

An attractive restaurant with a helpful staff. We have eaten there or ordered takeout on many occasions. We particularly enjoyed the cheese plate and for dessert, the Tiramisu. While we enjoyed the pizzas we preferred the earlier version of the margarita pizza which was much simpler.

The food was amazing. I got the salmon risotto and was blown away at how realistic the fish was. All servers were incredible kind and helpful. I loved the $15 deal they have on thursdays and took advantage. My party ordered a pizza to share and we both really enjoyed it. A bit of a splurge on that salmon but worth it for sure.

Decided to take my daughter here to celebrate her 14th birthday. She often talks about becoming a vegan as an adult, so we thought it would be good to provide her with this dining experience. Staff was very friendly and willing to answer questions from our crew. Ultimately, we all enjoyed our meals but I don't think we will go back. It was good but I would say probably more so for those favoring a vegan diet.

Honestly, I thought Coletta was just okay. Maybe I didn't order the right things but I really wasn't impressed and I would recommend others to try other places first. My husband and I were early for our reservation and they were very accommodating and let us sit early. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We started with cocktails. I got the Coletta G&T which was spicy (not like HOT but seasoned). It was interesting and I really liked it. My partner got the H2O which I liked a little more. Definitely thought the cocktails were standout compared to the food. I will say the restaurant is dark. I could read the menu but people all around me were using their flashlights on their phone which I thought was a little distracting. I thought it was a good spot for a date night. The food to me was underwhelming. We ordered the calamari, the eggplant lasagna, and the chicken parmesan. Nothing really stood out and it was all pretty forgettable. I did like the eggplant lasagna the most of the 3 dishes. The calamari was fine but some of the pieces were under cooked in my opinion and very tough. I haven't had real calamari in a long time so I can't compare it but I wish I had gotten something else. We finished with the tiramisu which was more of a trifle. I thought it had a weird after taste and I wouldn't recommend ordering it. Just a so-so meal and won't be back.

I've been vegan for 8 years and tried a lottttt of vegan spots around the country and in Europe and I'm pretty picky but this spot was incredible. The steak and potato dish was insane, the meat was juicy and tender I def recommend this one, the hot honey pizza was flavorful with a decent vegan cheese and the chocolate lava cake dessert was bomb (also highly recommend if you like chocolate).

When I say the food was amazing, that barely begins to scrape the surface. All the food is tagged below and it is too hard to pick a favorite. The lemon ricotta toast was a really pleasant surprise and stands out in terms of interesting aesthetics. The service was wonderful and server was wonderfully attentive, as well as the other staff- our dishes were inhaled (no, LITERALLY, cause we were starved but also amazed ) and they took them immediately. Also the waiters were so cute - they sang happy birthday to one of my friends with our candle The ambience was elegant and upscale but the lighting was very dark at times (had to use flash for photos of the food). Also this restaurant is COMPLETELY VEGAN Definitely coming back soon! Note: They do not have brunch/lunch and offered us to go to Siete (their sister restaurant) with a complimentary item so I recommend asking them about that afterwards .
