"Colette, a beloved French bakery founded in Medford, is looking to add another spot in the South End, Boston Restaurant Talk reports. And, this isn’t just any space that the bakery is taking over. Colette is reportedly moving into the former home of Cafe Madeleine, an equally beloved French bakery that called the space home for nearly a decade before shutting down late last year." - Erika Adams

"Owners Nathalie and Franck Beddiar hail from southern France, and their Medford bakery, Colette, is the place to go for all kinds of lovely French baked goods, including eclairs and croissants. For bread, the baguettes are a must, but don’t hesitate to explore the other loaves, too, like the sandwich-friendly pain de mie. The cozy shop is relatively new — it debuted in spring 2020 — but has quickly become a neighborhood favorite." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Luv luv luv!!! Fantastic neighborhood café!!!! The hazelnut chocolate entremets were absolutely divine... I can’t stop thinking about them. The tarte citron was perfect, with a balanced blend of sweetness and tanginess, and the crisp pastry was spot on. The café au lait was delicious, rich, and creamy. The coffee éclairs were decent but could use a stronger coffee flavor. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend and will definitely return! :))) Returned to try the pecan tart and croissants this week. The pecan tart had a nut butter filling that was so savory and delicious, croissants perfectly buttery and crisp. What can I say... Collette bakery never disappoints~!

Google
Quaint neighborhood bakery! They had a pretty long line when I got there, but it moved fast. They have a variety of treats from loaves of bread to croissants to tarts. I got this pecan chocolate bread which tasted like it had Nutella inside! I’m not the biggest fan of that type of bread (versus the croissant bread), but it was still quite flaky and fun. It could have been a smidge warmer, though.

I've been wanting to try Colette for a while! We went on a weekday so we were able to get a seat. The croissants were amazing! We got the pain au chocolat and the ham and cheese croissant heated up, and they were exquisite. The drinks were also tasty and reasonably priced. We tried a couple of other pastries but the highlight was the croissants. I'd definitely come back for the croissants!

We’ve been coming to this bakery for over two years now, and it has never disappointed! Their pastries and cakes are absolutely incredible — everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The croissants are next-level: perfectly flaky, buttery, and truly some of the best we’ve ever had. The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the whole place has such a warm, cozy vibe that it’s a joy to visit every time. The only downside? They’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays — and somehow those are exactly the days when we crave their treats the most

The pastries are delicious, and the service is very friendly. The pain au chocolat is especially great. Highly, highly recommend. Magnifique, merci !

As a former Fletcher School student (TUFTS), I discovered this magnificent French bakery just a charming 30-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride from campus. Colette is truly a slice of France in Medford, offering an exquisite selection of authentic French pastries made fresh daily in their on-site bakery. Their patisserie is simply superb – from perfectly flaky croissants to divine éclairs and macarons. The tart selection is particularly noteworthy; the amandine (pear and almond) and merengue aux citron are my favorites! For lunch, their quiches and Parisian sandwiches on house-made brioche are equally delightful. The baguettes here are as authentic as they come – crispy exterior, tender inside, just as you'd find in Toulouse! The friendly and gracious French owner adds such warmth to every visit, always welcoming my little one and me during our bicycle adventures with genuine hospitality. The cozy interior create an ambiance that transports you straight to a countryside French café. Pro tip: Arrive early for the best selection, especially for baguettes. Their coffee and hot chocolate are also a must-try. A lovely place in the Boston area for anyone seeking authentic French pastries and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!

Now we have a top-notch bakery that is super clean and also has really great coffee. I love how aesthetic the pastry items are to the eyes. It really creates a good mood for the day and such a great start. I came here after a 20 mile bike ride early in the day to have some cool pastry and iced latte. I have to be honest that I usually don’t expect the coffee at a pastry shop to be great but their iced latte tasted above and beyond. The staff were really friendly and I have a chat with one of them about biking around Boston. The shop is really nicely decorated and the tables are nice. Overall, the vibe, the taste, and friendliness is amazing. I tried Amandine which has 🍐 pear in it. I will come back to try more stuff. The place comes with a very nice and well-decorated and clean bathroom. I have so much respect for shops that have maintain a clean and relaxing bathroom for the customers.

I've been to a LOT of bakeries lately, and Colette is one of the best! There is a small parking lot out front, as well as some street parking. There is a water bowl at the entrance, which plays into the dog theme. The inside is small with a few tables but a ton of delicious-looking pastries/desserts. - Cho-Colette Croissant: Love the pun. It was very fluffy (as you can see from the cross section), flaky, and buttery. There is a thin layer of chocolate at the bottom. I feel like there could have been more chocolate, but it was a very good croissant regardless. This is supposedly their most popular pastry, but my favorite of the three that I ordered was actually the next one that I'll review. - Blueberry Tart: The blueberries were fresh and plentiful, the tart shell was crusty, and the cream that married the two was so smooth and the perfect amount of sweetness. I would get this again. - Passion Flower: This wasn't bad for what it was, but it was not my kind of dessert because it was too sweet. I guess I'm just not a fan of meringue. But the passionfruit was tart, and the presentation was very pretty. I'll have to come back to try more!

Yelp
Overall: to illustrate the mystique of this place one elderly local noted how the first place they went to after getting off their plane was Colette bakery. And I can see why. Baked Goods: if the French accents didn't convince you of their authenticity then perhaps the French customers might. After having tried their ham and cheese croissant and chouquette it's easy to love this place. The main highlight I would say are their bite sized caneles. While they are smaller than your average ones they pack an absolute mean punch. It's not about quantity but quality and the quality of their ingredients is enhanced incredibly. The color is a darker brown indicating the rich caramelization process that consumes your tasting experience. Ambience/Decor/Service: what's nice about this bakery is that you can pre order SOME things beforehand and they set them aside for you to pick up. Great way to insure you get the hotly contested caneles.

Yelp
Very cute cafe but first visit was a little rocky. Most likely will try again because it showed promise. Food: I got a baguette sandwich with pate and it was ok. The pate was decent but the bread was a bit too tough for a sandwich. Besides that the pastries seem to be good based on the reactions of others I went with. Service: The ladies who work here were very nice but got side tracked and didn't make my iced coffee. I wasn't charged for it and after I noticed they moved on the serving the group behind me. I remember getting asked if I wanted anything in it and responded so I was confused as I waited by the register for the rest of my order. I waited a couple minutes but I couldn't get there attention, so because I checked that I wasn't charged I just called it a loss and moved on. This was the primary root of my mild disappointment. Atmosphere: The vibe and decor was simple, but well curated to mimic what I imagine a Parisian cafe would resemble Very cute cafe but first visit was a little rocky. Yelp
I'm very disappointed when I went there. Super small and quaint , not a lot to choose from . The bread in the window display is presented beautifully but nothing in here made me want to buy/ try it . I hope they have more to offer in the future

Emma T.

Yelp
I used to live across the street and walk here all the time. I recently returned and it was just as good as I had remembered. Very simple and fresh ingredients with amazing taste!

Yelp
Arriving at Colette on a Saturday morning, I had already noticed a line outside the door, but it was not too bad as the line moved relatively fast. I purchased the Paris Brest, Cho-Colette aux amandes, Vanilla Paradise, and Flamenkuche. My favorite was the Paris Brest. The presentation was gorgeous, and it tasted as good as it looked. The cream was light and delicious, which paired very well with the crunch of almonds. The pastry itself was light and moist. I would love to get this again whenever I want to indulge in a nice treat. The vanilla paradise was not bad but paled in comparison to the Paris Brest. I wish the vanilla flavoring were more prominent and fragrant. I enjoyed how it looked, and the cream on top was very light. The quality of the tart was top-notch and baked to perfection. I did enjoy the syrup and cake in the middle but did feel like the amount of syrup was a bit excessive. The flamenkuche was not bad for a savory pastry but did have too many onions for my liking. The Cho-Colette aux amandes was good and looked gorgeous as well. Overall, I would love to come back again as the craftsmanship behind these pastries is top-notch!

Yelp
Just amazing! A French patisserie with delicious coffee, tea, croissants , quiches, and all sorts of sweets! What a treasure! And to hear French being spoken. Adored this place!

Tiffani J.

Yelp
This bakery is in demand. Don't let the long line deter you. It moves quickly. This is the closest to pastries and bread from Paris I have had in the U.S. It is superb. The quality is unmatched. I took away a star because the service could have been a bit more friendly. The apple dessert was tasty but could have had a richer filling. Overall, the service was quick. The bread is so light and airy. Try it for yourself!

Niamh M.

Yelp
These pastries are the best I've tried in Boston. Lots of options to choose from! I got the pain au chocolat and the chocolate brioche. 10/10 The service was quick but I was not rushed and had time to choose. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
An amazing little French bakery in Medford. I came here on the weekend (the day before they closed for summer break) and there was a short line of people waiting. It's a small bakery that has a few tables and seats inside, but there are also tables and umbrellas outside to enjoy your drink and pastries. I ordered an almond croissant, pain au chocolate, kouign amann, caramel brioche, and a passion tart. I enjoyed every single pastry with the passion tart being my favorite. The almond croissant was flakey and had great flavor, while the brioche was super soft and had a crunchy topping. The passion tart is not only cute, but super tasty with a meringue base with cream, and the passion fruit flavoring in the middle packs a punch of tartness. They also have baguettes and serve different drinks. I can't wait to try all the other goods when they reopen after the summer holiday.

Yelp
I recently moved to the area and have heard amazing things about Colette Bakery. Today I finally got the chance to go, and I was not disappointed! I tried their quiche, as well as the plain croissant and chocolate croissant. Everything I had was fresh and tasted amazing. It felt like I was back in France! Although, as I approached the restaurant there was quite the line, but to my surprise it moved fairly quick! The inside is on the smaller side, but still enough room to sit for a coffee date. I am extremely excited to be back and try all of their baked goods, especially the macaroons!

K G.

Yelp
Food is delicious. I have had their savory and their sweets! All have been delicious! Everything is fresh. Coffee is also great! Ambiance is pleasant! Service was good!

M.J. C.

Yelp
Finally! We were able to successfully make it to this magical bakery! We splurged on quiche Lorraine - the BEST we've ever enjoyed; the most chocolate croissants; a croissant Parisian that was devoured in seconds; a rich luscious chocolate fondue that will make you tear up it is so good; lemon tarts for a Sunday brunch and one glorious chocolate macaron for my sweet girl. This is a very special place and we will be back time and again. The taste of France right in Medford! What a gem!

James C.

Yelp
Their croissants are fresh and buttery Try their coffee's when there their breads are great They offer different pastries each week All handmade in their bakeries

Daniel H.

Yelp
This cafe is absolutely amazing. Desserts are out of this world. The pric is reasonably.

Helena Q.

Yelp
Fine for a bite if you're in the area, but nothing standout. The best was the apple turnover, which had crisp, flakey crust and nice contrast with the sweet apple. However, the croissant was quite softened, like grocery store ones get, and did not have flakey layers at all; the canelé and kouign amann were similarly indifferent.

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
My absolute favorite bakery! French pastries aredelicious the best. Sundays are my favorite. I love the fresh quiche. Eclairs, & best " Flan" , I have ever eaten

Joy G.

Yelp
So, so good. I try not to eat too many pastries in the morning because it completely messes up my digestion for the rest of the day but I will definitely make an exception for Colette. I went at 8am and they already sold out of some items after opening at 7, so that should give you some idea of how popular this bakery is. I wanted to try everything (serious kid-in-a-candy-store face as soon as I opened the door) but decided to show some self-restraint for once. Chocolate croissant: perhaps the best chocolate croissant I've ever eaten. Super flaky, buttery, lots of layers, held up well even after a 3-hour drive. Enormous chunks of dark chocolate. I'm not a coffee drinker but give me this and a mug of coffee and I'd be so happy for the rest of the day. Apple turnover: absolutely delicious but messy to eat, the apple innards got everywhere each time I took a bite. Shouldn't have taken it out of its paper wrapper. Paris brest: layers of hazelnut creme dolloped on almond cookie. Cannot go wrong with that. Ham and cornichon sandwich: I was initially skeptical of the combo of ham, pickle, butter, but it's delicious in an understated way. Just know the top of the bread will absolutely rip apart the roof of your mouth. I'm sitting here now with too much carbs and sugar in my belly and I couldn't be more content, all thanks to Colette!

Jessica W.

Yelp
I've been meaning to stop by this place ever since I moved to the area. This is the cutest bakery! A line quickly formed after I ordered my tuna sandwich and apple turnovers. The owner even offered to cut my sandwich for me which was very nice. I noticed that all (if not most) of the staff were speaking in French; it really elevated my first French bakery experience. The tuna sandwich was super yummy and the bread was amazing. The apple turnovers were a bit too apple saucy, but still tasty.

Yelp
What a great find in Medford! I stumbled upon this cute French bakery one afternoon and I think I will become their regular customer in the future. Got here late so most of their pastries were sold out. Luckily I got my hands on those airy chouquette! I can easily finish a dozen because it's so light and delish (hollow inside so I feel less guilty eating more than one). I didn't see almond or vanilla listed as ingredients but I definitely tasted a hint of those flavors. The multi grain bread is warm and i tasted tons of poppyseeds and black sesame in every bite. Some bakeries cheap out on those two ingredients but not at Collette. They do make cakes so any petite pastries you see they can make a big version of it (except for the eclairs) Friendly staff and the line moves fast. It is a good sign when the bakery is crowded with customers! The bathroom is spotless and if you want to eat outdoors, there is a table right outside the entrance. Parking can be tough - two parking spaces in front of the bakery. I don't know who owns the small lot adjacent to the bakery but can fit five cars. Otherwise you can find street parking. $7 minimum for credit card charge.

Yelp
I keep hearing great things about this place. People I trust love this place. I wanted to love this place too. I liked this place. A little. Friendly service, nice counter setup, cute tables, cute branding. Totes dorbs, even. They allow dogs inside the place, service dog or not. But the chocolate croissant (pain au chocolaut, if you must) was dry. Very dry, especially at the razor sharp flaky surface. Some buttery flavor, but not as pronounced as most. Minimal use of chocolate. And by minimal I mean barren. I don't need gooey; I'd rather taste the excellence of the dough--but these needed more. Good coffee eclair. Crusty base, really creamy/custardy filling with a strong coffee milkshake flavor. Strong black coffee. Maybe I was unlucky and caught them at a bad time. It was 9:30-ish on a Sunday morning, so not early enough to expect piping hot, but not late enough to expect a disaster. Not that this was a disaster, just short of the buildup and expectation.

Trish P.

Yelp
Colette - the home of mouthwatering flaky croissants, perfectly textured canelé, sweet maple éclairs, and various types of baguettes. We'll usually drive 40 mins on Friday mornings to enjoy their freshly baked pastries. And we're usually greeted with warm-hearted smiles, and their authentic French ambiance (to include the breathtaking aroma and their distinctive accents). I love that their front wall is all glass mirror, lets the sunlight in so nicely.

Shane S.

Yelp
I love this bakery. It is a Somerville gem. They list the ingredients for a few of their breads and its salt, flour, water, and yeast, which is the only ingredients bread should have. They also have other specialty pastries and sandwiches which are awesome. They do sell out quickly of some of their specialty items so you'll need to get there earlier in the day and may have to wait in a line, but this moves quickly.

Angela S.

Yelp
Thank the lord that I go on random runs in the neighborhood to offset this diet. I randomly stumbled upon Colette and I read online that I had to come early, so thats what my homie and I did the week after. (Do come early though because i went once at ~10:45 and everything I wanted sold out D: ) The chocolate croissant is classic, but wonderfully made. It's soft, flakey, buttery, and has a decent amount of chocolate that has a slight hazelnut tinge. The raspberry tart was absolutely crazy pants. This reminded me how much I love fruit tarts and Colette probably has the best fruit tart in Boston. The custard is not too sweet and perfectly balanced with the semi-tart raspberries. The small amount of jam in each raspberry also added a nice extra splash of flavor. The eclairs were also amazing. Perfect. Incredible. Spectacular. Aesthetically I was confused because I've never seen an eclair look like this. But the slight crunchy texture on the outside of the eclair added so much to the experience. The choux was also airy and went well with the semi-sweet custard on the inside. I forgot what the bottom left pastry was but I always ask for it when I go :( Btw The owners are so sweet and wholesome, I love them

Chrysanthia K.

Yelp
Delicious & inventive pastries with excellent flavor. Effective and helpful staff in a busy shop. Lovely & clean with a black & white theme. Their tart crust is on point!! Brava!

Constance C.

Yelp
Hi today I made my way down Colette in medford I bought some choc croissant so good choc moose eclair yummy fruit tart delicious and a loaf of bread I don't even no what kind it was it was good with butter. I will for sure be going back please go try it so good

Kaori M.

Yelp
I had tomato quiche, eclair, hazel nut cream pastries. I really liked all and tasted authentic. For me, good, but a little too heavy. Quiche and 1 pastry at lunch made me full and wasn't hungry until 8 p.m. Probably they have a lot of fat. Other than that I liked the taste a lot.

Cristina R.

Yelp
Colette completely deserves all of the recognition and is worth the wait (even in freezing temps)!!! We arrived around 9:30am on a Saturday and stood outside for around 45 minutes due to the reduced capacity inside. Once inside, the staff were busy while still friendly and worked very quickly to answer any questions and get us what we wanted. We got a variety of pastries as well as ciabatta, cinnamon brioche, and chai lattes. They have the menu outside to look over, so we had an idea of what we wanted, but once inside, some pastries weren't available and others just looked so good in the case that we decided to add them on. Everything we tasted was fantastic! The chocolate hazelnut croissant was super flaky and filled with deliciousness. The chocolate caramel tart looked like art and tasted like sweet salty fudgey amazingness. The coffee eclair was a great take on the classic and had so much delish coffee-flavored cream. The cinnamon brioche made the BEST French toast the next day. Hungry yet? Get over to Colette!

Francesco R.

Yelp
It has become my favorite bakery. Wonderful French Bakery, ample variety of pastries.bIf you like a real croissant or you crave for French pastries you will be very pleased with Colette. Highly recommended.

Jihye S.

Yelp
I was looking for a place to meet a friend near Somerville. This place had a "No mask needed" sign, and it was packed..so we decided to take things out and sit somewhere outside. I got their plain croissant, pain au chocolat, almond croissant, "campagne" sandwich, blueberry tart and Paris Brest. Also a cappuccino. My favorite was the almond croissant - really great filling (not too gooey or overly sweet& the ratio was good), great texture. I also really liked the blueberry tart- very nice crust with nutty flavor, nice pastry cream and good amount of blueberry. Plain croissant was good, too, but I've had it better in many places. Same with pain au chocolat. Paris Brest was good. (Hazelnut flavor) Campagne (which was like jambon beurre) was ok. The baguette was a little too thick and hard, and too many cornichons..just the ratio of things was not my favorite kind. Butter tasted good, though. Cappuccino wasn't my favorite. I am very picky about my coffee, and this is definitely bakery that just serves coffee. (Some bakeries do excellent in both areas.) Overall it's a cute place with many good things. Not sure if I'll go out of my way to visit again, but definitely worth a bit of driving if you're near Medford.

Edward W.

Yelp
After hearing about this French bakery in the news, I had to try it out. I went this past weekend and there was a bit of a queue due to social distancing. I had to wait for almost 70 minutes before it was my turn to go into the bakery. Unfortunately, they ran out of all croissants, baguette sandwiches and the kouign-amann. There were not a lot of selections left so I got the vanilla flan, chocolate flan, coffee eclair, quiche lorraine, and chouquettes. Boy, they did not disappoint! The slice of quiche lorraine was pretty generous and was still very flaky. It was very savory. The coffee eclair had coffee custard cream inside and was crumbly on the outside. It was unexpectedly good! The chouquette were little round sugar puffs. They were airy and not too sweet. The standout was definitely the vanilla and chocolate flan. It was rich and dense with custard. They were awesome! I never thought I would get a good flan in Boston. I will have to go there early next time to try out the other pastries!

Christian H.

Yelp
For baked goods, pastries and coffee aplenty It's Colette's Bakery for a little thing or twenty With so many choices of items to eat The French bakery has it displayed ever so neat Croissants, brioche, and breads are baked The smells are overpowering, make no mistake Sweet or savory, for your bakery fix And a cup of yummy coffee to throw in the mix The service is great and you'll be satisfied Enjoy your food indoors or even outside A quaint little place, you'll want all the things For many more times I go, my appetite I'll bring

Karen B.

Yelp
Great french bakery with lots of selections. I looked at the website and everything looked exciting. They have both savory and sweet selections. They take pre orders wed and thursdays but I wanted to go visit the location in person. I highly recommend going early. I was there when they opened at 8am and there were already people in front of me. Food: they have sandwiches, breads, sweet pastries and a gluten free option. I normally dont like fruit in my pastries but the gluten free option (passion flower) was actually very good. I got almost one of everything to get the full experience. The eclairs were great (both chocolate and coffee) with a crackling shell unlike the typical smooth choux dough. The coffee eclair had coffee cream and the chocolate eclair filled with chocolate. The best part about the eclair is a custard like pastry cream not whipping cream like most places. The only con I have is that the chocolate croissant (choc-colette) could have more chocolate. Unfortunately the vanilla caramel brioche wasnt ready when I came so I didnt get to try it. The flan was light and rich. Still good definitely not the Latin style flan de queso which I prefer. Ambiance: very clean bright place Service: friendly and efficient Parking: street and limited parking so plan ahead Please see the pictures for all the goodies I got!

Levina S.

Yelp
Amazing canelé and financier! There are tables available to sit down and enjoy their food.

Lea L.

Yelp
If there is one place near Boston that reminds me of home, it is Colette Bakery. Can't get more french than that. There are no wrong choices at Colette. Get there early on the weekend or your options will be limited!

Katie H.

Yelp
Is it too soon to call this my new favorite bakery in the Boston area? I felt like I was back in France as soon as I walked in, and oh my gosh, those pastries delivered. Being only one person, I naturally decided to try almost one of every pastry, and it was all delicious. The croissants were super flaky and shattered into thousands of delicate pastry crumbs. The kouign amann was perfection. The amandine was delightful with a strong almond flavor, just the right level of sweetness, and a perfectly baked crust. The tiny chouquette were delightful and the perfect little snack. But my favorite ended up being the passion fruit flower. I couldn't resist when I saw how cute it was in the case, and I was wowed with my first bite. The tart and smooth passion fruit curd contrasting with the sweet and crispy meringue was one of the best bites I've had all year. I still think about it sometimes. This place gets absolutely packed on the weekends, but luckily I woke up early and at 8:30AM, it was manageable. There is very limited seating (maybe due to COVID), but the interior is very charming and cozy. If you're even close to this part of Medford, don't miss this place!

Sandrine L.

Yelp
My favorite French bakery in New England. I'm French (love and miss my bread!), we drive an hour and 20 minutes just to eat breakfast there: tartine, butter and jam (when they have it) and bring goodies home! Love the Medford place.

Tony S.

Yelp
Best French bakery by far. From flaky croissants to breads to the best croutons around. Service is outstanding and friendly. Go back often to try all they have!

Michelle T.

Yelp
A little piece of Paris located right here in a quiet neighborhood of Medford! You are immediately greeted by the staff who are French natives. Since their feature in the Globe, they have been much busier with lines forming on the weekends, often selling out on certain items. This past weekend, I indulged in their lychee pastry which was similar to a creme puff in which it is filled with a lychee custard which was quite runny. But the custard was divine with real lychee flavor. To my surprise, I really enjoyed the passion fruit pastry despite not being a big fan of meringues. The passion fruit custard on top was spot on. The choquette is a light airy, egg, and buttery pastry coated with sugar. It's the perfect little treat with a cup of tea! Their Kouign Amann, the inside being similar to a croissant with a thin sugary glaze on the bottom, also very good. And last but not least their pate sandwich! If you like or love pate, I would highly recommend! Simple yet so good. There's a good ratio of pate to bread and the addition of the pickles is perfect. And how can you go wrong with their in house made baguette? Needless to say, you can not go wrong with anything you get here!

Olivia B.

Yelp
I'd wait in line for hours if it meant getting these pastries! First time customer today and I have to say I will be going back, I will be bringing friends, I will be shouting from roof tops about how amazing everything I purchased was and how kind and efficient the staff were. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. The cho Colette aux amandes (chocolate almond croissant) is single-handedly one of the best things I've ever eaten.

Espresso T.

Yelp
Soggy quiche and pastries that are supposed to be flaky. Have been to this place a few times before and the previous times have been pretty good (though still not quite at the same level as places like Cafe Madeleine, Iggy's, Clear Flour, etc.). Where do all these 5 star reviews come from?? Are they real??? We asked for the quiche to be heated up and the result was still a very soggy crust and the filling was very watery. This is worse than what you get from a regular supermarket. We skipped the croissant because it already didn't look right (you could see that it is soggy!), but didn't expect these other two better looking ones (the kouign-amann and another with suposedly flaky dough and chocolate chips on it) to be simply way below par. Very sad to see the quality has gone down so much. I wish the owner would taste their own stuff regularly and in this case, make serious improvements.

Yelp
Only place I have ever found to make cannelles- and I found them to be just as beautiful here as in Bordeaux. I go frequently on Sundays but after 12pm, most of their pastries are out of stock: don't sleep on the lemon meringue. The fruit tart was decent, but that lemon meringue was the star of the show.

Yelp
Wow. I am stunned. These are the best pastries I've found outside of Europe! I tried the flamenkuche and the pain swiss and highly recommended both, the flavors and textures are totally perfect. Can't wait to try more!

Yelp
Cute French cafe on the corner. Very authentic, everything is made in house every morning. We tried an assortment of treat. The French Brest was sweet and delicious, the cream was perfectly fluffy and I loved the whole hazelnuts. Tried out the banoffee tart - the banana was subtle in a good way. Latte was decent. Bread and butter was awesome. Apple turnover was quite applesauce-y but delicious.

Yelp
I'm on the hunt for the perfect Croissant. This place is the bees knees! Get here early because there will be a line, rightfully so. I got a box of tasty sandwiches, croissants and eclairs. I also got two cappuccinos. The atmosphere is cozy and its hard to pick which entremets you want to bring home with you. I can't wait to stop by again.

Yelp
Lovely spot, kind staff, and wonderful pastries. Give the coffee eclair a try - you won't regret having a soft pastry, crumbly topping, sweet icing, and a luxurious coffee cream. For me, it's a 'come here just for that' kind of item! Other lovely offerings include their fluffy croissants and pan au chocolats, delicious baguettes, and decadent chocolate breads. Can't wait to come back again and again. Just be sure to come in the morning - they do sell out quickly on weekends!

Yelp
Absolutely spectacular all around. In my two visits here, I was able to try five different baked goods, all of which were delicious and distinctive. Those being: - Pain au chocolat - Chouquette - Queen Amann (not to be missed!) - Chocolate bread (small but dense and filling) - Almond Croissant (? - it was denser than a typical croissant) Everything was tremendously fresh, and the Almond Croissant was still warm. There was that finger-licking flakiness where it was called for, and nothing was overly sweet or greasy. The lines can get pretty long, from what I'm told, but they move quickly. The service here is very kind and polite also! They have coffee options, though the coffee isn't anything to write home about. It is noted that I wish the pain au chocolat had more chocolate, but this small amount seems almost universal. I was still curious and asked about this. Apparently, the reason is people like to dunk these into their coffee. The lower amount of chocolate keeps it from being over-sweet. I'm a capitalist; I understand the market demands what it demands, it is what it is, etc. The only real negatives are ones I can't possibly hold against the business. First, it's rather far away from me, and second, with the lines, the parking situation can be very tough.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with this place. The food tastes even better than it looks, and it looks gorgeous! Just go. You won't be disappointed. I recommend the tuna sandwich, quiche Lorraine and Paris Brest, but everything on the menu is delish.

Yelp
I've bought pastries from Colette Bakery for my coworkers several times, and their pastries are absolutely phenomenal. However, please note that the store is quite small, so it's not suitable for sitting in.

Yelp
Always a wonderful experience at Colette. I'm always greeted by smiling, lovely staff. Don't let the long line discourage you, the line goes pretty quick and it is well worth the wait. The pastries, breads, desserts, and savory food are excellent. I appreciate how consistent this place is and love hearing the staff speak French to one another!
