We passed by this cafe yesterday and decided to go today for breakfast one our first wedding anniversary. The moment you enter this cafe you’re greeted by the scent of fresh bread and pastries. I learned for the woman who served us that they make all their pastries/breads everyday! Great coffee, great food, great service! I was so into the ambience as well that I almost didn’t wanna leave. They were so nice to give us free macarons cause we said it was our first time in their cafe, and when I thanked her and said it’s the perfect wedding anniversary treat they could have given us she was so happy she decided to give them to us! We’ll definitely be going back here a lot from now. ❤️

We were traveling when I came across this place and just made it in right as they were closing. I grabbed a few pastries—tiramisu, exotic, Black Forest, and raspberry—and every single one was a delightful surprise. The depth of flavor in each was incredible, yet they were so light and airy I could easily have eaten a few more. Absolutely worth the stop.

This was the essence of taking time for me. I’m on vacation, came here alone and had a savory breakfast crepe (devoured before I even thought of a pic) and then had a magnificent almond croissant with a cappuccino. Don’t walk - RUN HERE. It is MAGNIFIQUE!

From the moment I stepped into this refined French café, I felt transported—no passport required. The space is effortlessly elegant, with soft lighting, marble-esque counters, book shelves and the gentle hum of espresso machines underscoring the tranquil atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where time slows, and every detail is designed to delight. I began with a cappuccino, expertly prepared with velvety microfoam and a rich espresso base. Balanced, and bold, it was a perfect prelude to what followed. The turkey bacon panini was a revelation in simplicity and flavor—crisply grilled bread giving way to tender turkey, smoky bacon, and a subtle spread that elevated each bite without overpowering. It struck that rare balance between comfort and finesse. But the true showstopper was the raspberry violet macaron. Visually stunning, its vivid pink shell hinted at something special, and it did not disappoint. The texture—light, crisp, and delicately chewy—was textbook perfection. The flavor pairing of tart raspberry with the soft floral notes of violet was both unexpected and unforgettable, lingering just long enough to make you wish for another. Service was attentive and wonderful without being intrusive, and the presentation throughout was impeccable. This café is not merely a place to eat—it’s a sensory experience, and a masterclass in French culinary artistry. I left already planning my return.

Had a delightful brunch with the feeling of being at a cafe in France. Cappuccino and croque monsieur were amazing, the salad was the perfect accompaniment and very fresh. The strawberry basil macarons were the perfect sweet treat without being too heavy! Also, the classic books are the most amazing touch!! Will be back soon to try the crepes!

Collette’s is my one and only French bakery! Not only is everything excellent, but the staff are friendly and helpful. This afternoon I specifically went for crêpes, not realizing that they stop making them at 2:00 pm. However, they graciously accommodated me because I was there for an anniversary of my partner’s death. Thank you again!

This French cafe was absolutely adorable! It’s pretty small inside, but it is a cute establishment. The workers were so nice and welcoming. I came pretty late, so there weren’t as many pastries, but everything still looked delicious. I got a buttery, nice croissant that went well with their homemade strawberry jelly and a latte. The coffee was extremely rich and had great flavor. I will definitely be returning to try some more of their beautiful looking pastries!

We got the Valentino. It was delicious. Everything here looks great. The problem is deciding what you want to get haha. We’ve already decided on getting the Napolean the next time we come! Highly recommend this Cafe, they have great music too!

Cute cafe with lots of patisserie! I like that they provided options for a mini or regular sized almond croissant. I got the mini to fill my craving. Crispy on the outside and nice soft layers inside with the right amount of filling. Wished it was warmed - they said they were going to warm it but it felt like room temp to me when I got it. Got a slice of chocolate cake as well - lots of stuff going on in there - rich and delicious! A bit pricey at $9 after tax though. Definitely coming back to try other items!

It's so sad how far this place has fallen. Under the new management the service is godawful and they seem not to even care about it. Even more audacious is the fact that they've removed all pricing from their menu and pastry cases. Can we just name any price we want? No? Oh they care about what the price is, but we aren't supposed to? Please. If they're going to be that pretentious they should at least have most of their menu items available by 90 minutes after opening. I finally got my fourth choice, and waited interminably at a dirty table where apparently two parties had sad, the latter evidently with dirty dishes, before I did. Eventually they cleaned the table and brought my café crème, which was served as a brimming cup of burnt coffee with a pitcher of cream that I couldn't pour into the over-filled cup. I had to gingerly pour the coffee into the pitcher and then add it back. A while later I got a decent crepe (at least not as thick as most places, but a bit doughy and lacking crispy edges) with serviceable ham and cheese filling ($15, served with a few mixed lettuce leaves and a single cherry tomato, since the menu won't let you know). I won't be back anytime soon. Douceur has gone down a bit, but Bonnin's in Kennesaw is outstanding, and this place is just insufferable.

This prominent pastry shop offered beverages and fresh crepes as well. I got a cranberry white chocolate mousse, a distinctive combination and an indulgence. The pistachio croissant I took with me was quite sweet for pistachio, but good when eaten alone. The limitations of French cuisine for those with special dietary needs are typical, but for others there is plenty worth trying.

Overall, food is okay. I used to go here a lot as a kid and recently revisited (it changed locations a while back so I lived a bit further from it). I used to love the pastries here, but it seems that the selection is more limited now. Got the croque monsieur, a latte, and an eclair. Croque monsieur was okay, I had a hard time finishing it. Latte was pretty solid. Eclair was not very memorable. Would say that the inside is nicely decorated, and overall ambiance is nice. However I cannot say the same for the quality of the food, especially for the price

This place is in the heart of Alpharetta downtown. You have plenty of parking here, but it's on the road. You can't miss it. You have to visit this place for their handmade chocolates and bakery items. These people are genuinely very kind and nice Services. Awesome they even fixed our grapes when we felt it wasn't right. We also bought a bunch of other chocolates and Croissant they were super good. We would definitely like to come back here and try other sandwiches but make sure you come early because they run out of stuff very soon because they're so good and awesome. You will find an amazing inside this restaurant 2225 people seating they are so delicious Proved amazing. You should not miss this place. If you're in area for a quick grab or a breakfast or even a coffee

So glad I stumbled upon Colette French Pastry Cafe when visiting Alpharetta. We needed a caffeine fix, and a French bakery is generally a good bet for a decent treat to go along with it. The interior is very cozy with French (and more specifically Paris) theming and decor. They have one side with shelves of books that had a nice library type feel to it. The French music is a lovely touch as it let us escape to Paris for at least a little while as we enjoyed our drinks. They offer a French breakfast and even have Orangina on offer which is one of the more typical drink offerings you'll find at cafes in France. For drinks, we ordered a latte and a mocha...both were a solid 4.5/5, being strong, smooth, and robust, without being too sweet. It's recommended to get there early as they do run out of pastry and bakery items later in the morning. They had run out of the chocolate croissant we wanted to try, so we wound up going with the carrot cake (4/5). It wasn't as moist as I generally like carrot cake to be, but it was typical of European baking style, and I liked that it wasn't too sugary. The employees were all very engaging and friendly. Since Yelp doesn't allow half stars, I don't mind rounding up from 4.5 for my rating since we really enjoyed the ambiance and overall experience.

Always love to come here for a quick bit of sweet. This time came for a whole cake for hubby's birthday. We got the Plaisir - which is the creme brûlée, vanilla cream cheese cake. Don't get scared if you don't like cheese, you will love this. Light and fluffy, with the touch of caramel brûlée on top, love it! Love it love it! Well since we were there, my kiddo can't resist to satisfy their sweet tooth. Lemon mousse in a bubble cube form just makes you hold your fork and look at it for a while. Again their mousse is as light as cloud, with lemon flavor. Fall season can't resist anything pumpkin! Glossy candy pumpkin cake has some cranberry jam (if I didn't remember wrong) in the center. Always love the surprise and heart in each pastry.

I had the most amazing croissant of my life I went in on Sunday afternoon and the place was busy, they have a few tables, a crepe station, and rare books. It has a light and airy feel to it. The service was wonderful and they had a great selection even late in the day. I am so excited to come and dine in soon.

Came here for lunch mid workday. The cafe is cute and the case of pastries is impressive! I decided to go for crepes, one savory and one sweet. It was definitely way too much food and i regretted finishing it, but it was delicious! I would prob come back for just the sweet crepe bc the savory ham and cheese (la complete) was a bit monotonous despite being tasty. It would be good to share it though! Will def be back to try some of the French pastries, looked just like a show case in Paris!

Now they have Crepes both sweet & savory. Very good and chocolatey Nutella. New owners and the pastries are still good - eclairs & napoleon. Miss the mushroom pie/vente Hours truncated because of staffing issues. Tried to go on Sunday but they closed early. Check before going. They now have a rare books library on loan. Wow!

I used to love this place so much. True authentic Parisienne food. Salad with lemon and olive oil, less sugary desserts and amazing quiches. The fresh and simple ingredients made these dishes devine. But...The thing about American food is that we overdo it. Too much salt, sugary pastries and frankly we overcomplicate ingredients, perhaps to hide the lack of freshness. It had been awhile since we had been to Collette's and when my husband and I went last weekend, we noticed a distinct difference in the food. It's become Americanized. I could hardly eat the quiche it was so over salted, the salad dressing seemed like a store bought balsamic, the baked goods looked overcooked and my husbands sandwich was meh. Sadly, this was not a meal we enjoyed and all the things we loved about Collette's in the past were not the same. This is another run of the mill America cafe doing French food poorly. I hate it for this place - it was so special and I hope they can find a way to return to the same authentic cooking there once was.

Pretty good pastries, tea was subpar, cashier was lovely. Definitely on the pricer side but I would definitely revisit to try other items the have!

This is hands down my favorite bakery in the area. It's a true authentic French bakery serving French pastries and food. It brings me back to France again. Everything is made fresh and you can taste the quality. They have a great selection of baked goods, drinks and dishes to satisfy any craving. My favorites are the baguettes, ham and cheese sandwich, the almond and chocolate croissant. My kids love the macarons. The coffee and drinks are great too. There is plenty of seating. Service is always top notch, they are incredibly nice and accommodating. There's cafe seating inside and outside.

Colette is a cute, little French pastry shop near Downtown Alpharetta. It was fairly quiet inside the shop on a weekday afternoon with only myself waiting to order and several attendants behind the counter, but unfortunately I wasn't greeted. The ambience left much to be desired as there was stone cold silence not conducive for dining in--atleast they could play some French music. The display cases were beautifully presented with a wonderous array of colors and assorted pastries. The pastries primarily consisted of tarts, mousses, and macaroons. I opted for a vanilla macaroon $2.25 and the heart shaped mousse $6.75. The desserts are very expensive for the portion so I had high hopes for the taste. As soon as I bit into the macaroon, it tasted of cardboard and food coloring? I'm glad I didn't purchase more because it wasn't worth it. The heart mousse was beautifully decorated and tasted delicious, in contrast with the macaroon. Overall, beautiful presentation, high prices, and the flavors are hit or miss depending on the pastry you choose.

French-style business near the heart of Alpharetta. The cafe has an excellent online service for to-go orders and open, spacious indoor seating for dine-in orders. Things you should know I. PARKING Colette French Pastries is on the right end of a plaza and shares a public parking lot with the other adjacent businesses. There's always an available, free space. II. SERVICE Kind & accommodating. They'll package your to-go orders for you and serve your dine-in orders on cute glassware. They even heated up my croissant, which was nice. I liked that they offered milk alternatives, here; however, you'll notice they don't offer syrup flavors for the coffee (i.e. vanilla). I like to think this helps customers to indulge in the full flavors of the pastries when paired with the coffee. III. QUALITY Fresh..! The croissant was fluffy. The macarons melt in your mouth. Nothing seemed stale texture-wise. Very nice. IV. CAPACITY Large amount of available seating in the morning that fills up near lunch time.

I am so happy to have stumbled upon this place. Everything was perfect. You are immediately reminded of how subpar Starbucks is. There was suprisingly an incredible historic book selection (some hundreds of years old!). The pastries out of this world, and they know how to make a REAL chai latte Fresh, real ingredients in everything. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. I was so glad to have met the owner. This will be my go to cafe from now on. Service, ambiance, food, absolute perfection all around. Gems like this need to be supported.

Brought home a variety of 7 pasties this morning. Everything was excellent and close to what remember working at La Boulanger on 21st St in NYC. The people were super nice and the you g lady who assisted was excellent. The process took the appropriate amount of time. Definitely will be back.

My 3rd visit here and I can honestly say the service has regressed. Waiting 25 minutes for "pre-made" sandwiches that I could not customize is beyond me. Having other parties place their orders after me and receive their food just takes the napoleon! And get this...the ham and cheese baguette is COLD! I love supporting small businesses, however this one will no longer be part of the rotation. Food is good, not worth the wait and ineptitude of the staff. Wish it was a better review, but didn't earn it or my cash.

The pastries were authentic french and tasted much better with the previous owner. Cutting corners doesnt do it for us so we stopped going. Used to be the best kept secret & super addictive. On the other hand, I lost 20 lbs by not going so there's that.

The food is good, but oh wow has it gotten expensive! $13 for a little tiny round single serving quiche! Oh, and those behind the counter looked soooo unhappy and cranky! Probably because they don't like the crazy high prices!

Cozy French bakery. I went there specifically to try their kouign amann. It was delicious! The employee was very courteous and service was attentive. Of course we tried other pastries which were also worth repeat visits. Parking was fine at just before 10 AM but could get challenging at other times.

Stopped here on a whim on our way out of Alpharetta...can't believe we almost missed this gem! Tucked behind the corner of a lovely business strip, this French Patisserie is brimming with gorgeous pastries! We each had an eclair, one chocolate, one vanilla. Then he had a hazelnut Danish while I chose the pain de Jambon. We finished with a mousse pastry who's name I cannot recall. Everything was delicious and filling. The staff was so gracious, and the space is inviting and bright. Check em out!

This review is only based on the my experience with being over charged for my lunch. I ordered a Crepe off the menu which was $13.00. I paid for my water and my bill and added a tip. I hit the button and moved on. Once I sat down I realized that my bill was not correct. Totally my mistake for not noticing while I was checking out. When I questioned the person behind the register, I was told that the menu is wrong. My Crepe was a different price, by almost $5.00. The price has gone up and the menu is incorrect. All of the Crepes were $13.00 and my friend ordered a different crepe but hers was still $13.00. I don't think you should be charged whatever they want to charge. I understand that prices go up, and a menu needs to be updated, but I should have been told that prior to my purchase. I was not offered a refund and it just "was what it was". After a few moments I was handed something that offered me 10% off my next purchase. Unfortunately, there will not be another visit.

I've come here a number of times for lunch and loved it! There's a constant flow of people coming in ordering pastries and lunch. It gets crowded quickly so we come in the late afternoon. They have both indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. I've ordered the Cordon Bleu sandwich and the Turkey and Bacon Sandwich. Both were very tasty with a delicious roasted tomato spread. I'm not a huge fan of the bacon in the Turkey sandwich so I take it out. The Cordon Bleu includes chicken and ham and cheese. It's delicious! I do wish there was more meat per sandwich but I still enjoy it. Sandwiches are a bit over $10 each and include a little salad to enjoy. I look forward to coming back again!

They literally do not make ANYTHING themselves.... They buy their pastries from Alons (Alons is great by the way) but nothing French here except the tables...coffee was trash too.

I've driven past this place a few times but always told myself 'next time'. I should've gone back then. I recently found out that the place is under new ownership but still decided to give it a go. I had a ham & cheese croissant and the lemon mousse. They were okay. The croissant was very crispy, but it took a while to receive my order (even though though it's premade) so it wasn't warm. The inside of the lemon mousse was quite delicious, but the outside tasted like it had sat in the fridge for a few days. The little crystal decor on top had already melted into the cream which wasn't too appealing. Overall, it was below expectations but still did its job as a cute lunch & pastry location. I'll probably return to give it a second chance but will be sure to try a different pastry.

I think Colette's was quite possibly the best bakery I've ever been to. But now that it's been sold to a different person, the recipes are not the same and that once incredibly authentic French patisserie taste is gone. If you had been here before, you would know about the almond croissants which had such a soft almond taste with no trace of artificial flavoring. Now, the almond croissants taste so strongly of artificial almond extract and are way too sweet....it's so unfortunate. We were so excited to see Colette reopen and were so hopeful to get those incredible tastes back. Unfortunately, it just falls short...

Alons baked goods for sale here, the bread only moderately fresh, the selection of pastries practically nil on a Sunday afternoon. In the old days this used to be a bustling place where people sat and had French tea and coffee. Now it's empty. Because there's not a croissant in sight.

I place 3 separate delivery orders and did not get what I ordered all 3 times. I tried to call the store but the call would not go thru at all. The store just made poor substitutions and thought that would be ok and it is not.

It is not anymore French Pastry. Owner sold this place to another. Quality is bad. Without any class. It was my favorite place for cakes and pastries. European environmental and good qualities.Always full of the customers and most of the time at 11 am they finished sweets. I went there 4 months ago and I found there with a lot of changes. The beautiful paintings that gave us some good feelings from Paris disappeared and Modern style paintings have been replaced. It didn't make sense a coffee shop with European styles with this cold decorations. 2 days ago I decided to buy some croissants and cakes from there to bring at home. I didn't see anymore any French pastries and replaced typical commercial sweets. Quality of the croissants were terrible. That's better change the name and put another name. This place isn't a typical French place. The persons also changed.

Consistent and good. This isn't the place for a typical large American breakfast, the food and portions are clearly French. Service is very good, friendly people each time, no attitudes. Eating in is similar to the food, purposely French. Quaint ambiance, a handful of tables, and a little bit of outside seating too.

Mainly a rating based on "false advertising" of opening hours and the lack of a menu or any type of description of any of the pastries. First, we had to ask what every single Item was, then a description of the ingredients and flavor profile because there is no menu, description or even a placard of a name for pastries and baked goods. Second, we arrived at about 3.28PM on a Sunday with the intent of ordering some sweets and a coffee, sitting down at a table, and enjoying some conversation with the family until 4:00. The operating hours are clearly posted on Yelp, and again on the front door, with a stated closing time of 4:00pm. The selection of baked good and confections was rather lacking. However, After ordering 6 macarons, 3 pastries, and a honey saffron chocolate, and a double espresso for $55, we were instructed that they were now closed for in restaurant seating and service and that we'd need to take everything to go. It was 3:30PM, 30 minutes prior to closing. Have not yet tasted anything because I have to drive 30 minutes to my house first. However, I did open the box to find that my chocolate is missing. Guess they were in a rush to get outta there. Pretty horrible business practice if your in business to make money. Won't be returning, ever...

Update review, since collect left this business it's not the same. Talk about bad hygiene now. First strike the cashiers just grab pastry with hands after ringing up. Now today this guy push his hand in the bag to add the pastry. SMH. While talking on the phone. Very nasty and all these pastry open all day with everybody breathing over it. You're not serving your mom or partner Nobody like or wants your germs like your family. That's no more.

From the people to the food, this is a go to spot whether you are sitting down or taking it to go, the only bad thing is that they have limited seating. But the food never disappoints ,my husband and I go here for every special occasion! I love them!!

I bought their napoleon today and was not happy with it. The puff pastry was burned, ruining the entire experience with this usually delicious pastry. For the price you pay, you expect high quality, which this place did not deliver.

Cute little spot in Alpharetta for some quaint French food. The pastries are beautiful! I don't know how I passed them up, but I wanted the vanilla eclair which sold out before I could snag it and the fruit tart flavors didn't really appeal to me. My friend however bought a big box of them, and said they were light and tasty. We did get some breakfast, and she had the ham and cheese, while I went for the spinach mushroom quiche. We also had lattes. To my dismay, they did not have any flavor for the lattes. So I could not get my usual vanilla one, and opted for the matcha, which came out somewhat lukewarm, and was just really okay. Disappointed. The quiche as well was not that great. It was very dry, and way too much salt in it. I ate it, because I was hungry, but it certainly didn't leave me with the feeling that I would want another here. The pastries are by far the star here, and they certainly make them look beautiful. While I cannot comment on those, the meal itself along with a subpar latte left me a bit bummed. Do remember if you come here, it's French. Omelettes, scrambled eggs and toast, pancakes...not going to find that here. Think croissants, pastries, quiche. Pretty little spot, but I would skip it for breakfast.

Collet is 1 of 2 top patisseries in Atlanta....IMO. We arrived about 1/2 hour before the close so there weren't much left other than cakes. This wasn't a planned stop for the day but after having it bookmarked for 2 years, I was happy to check it off! + Ambiance is airy minimalist bakery with plenty of café tables inside and more outside. ++ Food is French pastries and light bites. I've only had their pastries.... a good friend brought some over for a celebration and had it bookmarked ever since. Also, Collet provides pastries wholesale locally, through which I've had several of their goodies. Not sure but IDT pastries are actually baked here. Back to why I came here...there wasn't much left and even though it had been sitting all day, I couldn't resist the brioche con crème! I hadn't seen one in a while and their's is sliced in the middle like a sandwich rather than crème injected inside a whole brioche. It's not a complicated pastry yet somehow most get it wrong. Happily, Collet got it right! I used to eat one several times a week before 5 AM years ago. It's the closest I've had since Europe...can't wait to go early in the morning to get a fresh one....maybe two :-)). =. Price is high but oh so worth it! + Service is prompt and knowledgeable. + Parking is free. Overall, Collet has delicious European pastries worth the carbs!

Super cute place. Had a chocolate dome and it was delicious. My kids loved the strawberry. I'd love to come back and try their lunch menu.

At the corner of Old Milton and Haynes Br stands a mansion like structure of a jewelry store- Sabri Guven. The building is the masterpiece in the intersection. However, if you look close enough, are a few businesses attached- even the real winner here- Collet. This is a place I kick myself for not coming to sooner. I mean, my friends who live in downtown Atlanta visit here and love it, so, why did it take me so long to finally pull in? Probably because I knew I would eat all of their offerings at least once on a weekly basis. It was a nice day outside, and saw they had outdoor seating. So why not enjoy it, and watch all the entitled assholes who drive by honk at eachother for taking .5 seconds too long to move their vehicles? Go inside, and you are greeted with a counter full of desserts and pastries. The downer for me, I didn't see a menu per se (at least I didn't see it), so I just had to order, and hope they had what I wanted. I wanted a cordon bleu panini, and a cup of soup. Unfortunately, no soup was made that day, and they offered me a side salad. LBH, I didn't come here for a salad... So I got a bottle of water, and told the lady I was going to eat outside, and that I was going to get dessert, so she kept my tab open- that was cool. Then my friend went in (I was watching her kid while she ordered) and came out with a carafe full of water. How did I miss that?!?! Oh well. The food came out quickly, and while it was tasty, I could have eaten like 2-3 of those paninis. When I was done chowing on that, it was time for the real star of the show- the famous desserts. I could have easily gotten one of everything and spent over $100, but I stuck with 4 snacks. I was able to resist eating them until I got home, and thankfully, I only ate 2 of them. I ate the chocolate fudge tart, and the key lime tart. I won't lie, the tart crust is some of the best I have had, tastier than the stuff I made in school. Cooked perfectly too. The key lime, I could have eaten 30 of those, thrown up, then eaten 30 more. The chocolate, was decent, but was so rich, it was actually something different than I thought I ordered, but it was still great. I think for the pastries and desserts, this is THE place to come to. The food, while decent, I would almost recommend eating somewhere else and use the money saved to get dessert. Not to say the food isn't good, but the desserts are seriously where its at. I have had dreams about that key lime tart the last week...

This was an awesome restaurant. I really enjoyed the ambience and the opportunity to just sit and enjoy the library while having an amazing mocha, viennoiseries, et un baguette.

When I first saw this French bakery I assumed amazing pastries. Unfortunately, that's not what I experienced. I really hate to discourage anyone working hard to make a small business succeed, but the pastries were definitely missing some ingredient. Couldn't tell if they were missing vanilla, sugar, or something else. They looked awesome in the case, and on the plate, but the taste was just not great. I hope you are able to sort out your product so that the taste and appearance are both wonderful. Good luck.

Went in based on past reviews but only to find out the owners changed and they no longer serve the chicken pie. Most of their stuff was pre-cooked and very limited choices for non-bacon eaters. Eventually decided to go somewhere else

I think the same thing happened to this café that happened to Douceur De France in Roswell. Both these places have sold and are now run by someone else The croissants are no longer home made but rather from Costco at $4.55 / each = OUTRAGEOUS The Macaroons as well. Sorry, not coming back again

A hidden gem!!! Delicious, traditional French bakery. The absolute best pastries and coffee. My favorite is the butter croissant. No where else can compare! I'm yet to try the beautiful cakes and pies. Love this place, def a local favorite!
