"Serving Neapolitan-style pizza, Coletti's is unassuming in a rennovated house on Route One in Biddeford. The no-frills "dining room" (it's take out only) sports a few bar stools, a drink cooler, and a TV tuned to Italian news. The cheese and sauce laden pies have a chewy, blackened crust, with toppings like salami and eggplant in addition to the standards." - Kate McCarty

I have to say that I’ve had hundreds of people tell me how good this place is. Some said “best pizza in Maine” and you’ve gotta try this pizza. My first impression was noticing how diligent and friendly the counter helper was. Great employee who was very proud to work there. I was also very impressed with the fact that the owner is the only person that makes the dough and cooks all the pizzas. That’s no easy task, especially when they’re in high demand. The dining room was no-frills, pretty straightforward with about four tables, and a few bar seats. I ordered two pizzas to go. One was a margarita pizza which I added pepperoni to and the other was a specialty pizza called the volcano. That one had crust on top sort of like a calzone. I have to be honest about my experience. I didn’t think the pizza was great. I may have caught them on a bad day. I found the crust to be dense and chewy and the center didn’t seem to be cooked thoroughly. The box was soaked with grease probably from the pepperoni. The pizza was very soggy and floppy. The Volcano lacked flavor, and something about the ricotta cheese, gave it a grainy taste. The eggplant inside could’ve use some salt. A little bitter tasting. Pizzas did take about 25 minutes, so that’s something to be prepared for. I’ll definitely give this place another try as I liked everything about the business and their work ethic.

Stopped in for a solo lunch. The owner was extremely personable and immediately made me feel welcomed. He generously offered me montanara and made suggestions for pizza selection. Washed it all down with a smooth Peroni. Absolutely delicious with thoughtful flavors. Leaving feeling full but not bogged down by grease. Worth the stop every time.

We stopped on a whim while passing through. Very friendly staff. Food came out very quickly too! We ordered the 4 cheese pizza...they have a nice fresh tomato sauce with fresh basil...and let me tell you they do not skimp on the cheese...and the crust was great! So good! I would definitely come back if in the area!

I don’t remember how we discovered this pizza palace back in August of 2016, but it still has the best pizza, period. Every time we get back to Maine, we go to Coletti’s as much as we can while visiting - this trip we went every day they were open and ate 5 of Frank’s delicious pizzas. And every time we go, the pizza is still top notch and the little restaurant has more improvements. As I said all those years ago, if you aren’t eating this pizza, you are missing out!

Google
We were just driving up the coast and goggled a pizza shop, the food pics looked good so we stopped. We're slightly confused upon entering the place, but figured out the system to order them grab a seat. Limited menu and drink options but we just wanted a quick stop anyway. Young kid working the front, was good and friendly. We got the four cheese pizza, it was cooked fast, fresh ,and it was damn good. No complaints. But oh damnnn the reviews and responses are amazing for this place! Cheers

Google
Best pizza around - dough and sauce are some of the most flavorful I have ever had. People will complain about the wait time but worth every second. Diavola is spicy but a great kick

I finally made it to Coletti's for dinner. I ordered a pepperoni sausage and onion pizza. They told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived, the pizza was ready to go. After paying $27.00 for my pizza, I took it home and couldn't wait to eat it. When I opened the box. The edge crust was a little burnt and I didn't mind that too much, after all it is a fresh dough hand tossed pizza. I picked up my first slice and on the first bite, it just did not taste right. Maybe it was just me. So, I took another bite. Same thing. I looked under the crust and it was black. This pizza was completely burnt and completely overshadowed the taste of the pizza. I have eaten pizza crust that was well done before, but nothing like this. The underneath was so burnt it left the bottom of the box charred. It was a complete turn off. I managed to pick a few pieces of toppings off the pizza. I don't know what they use for sausage but from the looks of it, they took a real sausage and sliced it into such thin slices, you could see through it and was extremely salty. Eventually it went by way of my trash can. I think that paying $27.00 for a pizza, I would expect to be able to eat it. I live 22 miles from this restaurant so bringing it back was not even an option. You can read my review and tell me to save my money and not come back and my response would be don't worry, I won't.

Google
Excellent pizza. Truly a treat. Be warned Diavlo is hot, but the heat comes after a great flavor. The Mediterranean was excellent. Probably my next choice, same for Margherita. Our son and daughter-in-law are longtime foodies from Buxton and come here for their pizza. I gave it 5 for atmosphere because it had everything you look for in a "pizza joint". Do not expect elegant, but eat your hot pizzas and enjoy.

Yelp
We have live in Saco for 30 plus years and tried Coletti's Pizza Factory for the first time Friday. It is the best pizza we have had in Maine. We heard about it recently and thought we'd give it a try. I grew up on NYC style pizza, being born in Sunnyside Queens. This pizza is exactly what I use to have growing up. It took about 20 minutes for the pizza to be made. We thought of eating it in their dining area, but decided to take it home. The dinning area is small but comfortable and reminded me of the NYC pizza parlors type of sit down areas The service was great and this is now our go to place for pizza. I already recommend it to my cousin who was also born in NYC (The Bronx) and has been on a constant search for the perfect NYC style pizza in Maine.

Ricky S.

Yelp
Good pizza, tasty. The sauce was delicious- and it comes with basil. My only complaint is that the pepperoni could be of higher quality- see picture. Otherwise the people working here were very friendly. Oh and my wife says the pizza was soggy. I agree.

Liz M.

Yelp
It was fine but nothing to write home about. We placed an order and were told "40 minutes". I came in to get the pizza 45 minutes later and then proceeded to wait ANOTHER 40 minutes. No apology, nothing. I get being understaffed but at least offer realistic time frames so customers can plan accordingly. The pizza itself wasn't worth the wait. The cheese was one note and the sauce was quite sweet.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Colettie's Pizza Factory is an excellent spot for a tasty selection of pizza's to-go! We enjoyed the margherita pizza, broccoli rabe and sausage, and diavola. Although, warning, the diavola is more spicy than most I've had. I suspect all of their pizzas are delicious as the dough is fresh and fluffy and the tomato sauce is tasty.

Mark H.

Yelp
So I once again made my way to Biddeford for yet another Frank Coletti masterpiece. All I can say is "Amazing"! Pepperoni and sausage. ... perfection. I have said enough about this fantastic pizza. What I am sharing today is my strong recommendation to heat up your leftovers on a pizza steel at 400 degrees. The crisp returns and it is as good the day after as it was when Frank handed you the pie. Again, I love this pizza!

Dianne A.

Yelp
We were promptly greeted upon arriving at Coletti's. Our order was taken and we were told it would be brought to us. Plenty of seating, mostly takeout. The wait wasn't too long. My pizza was very good. Will definitely be going back.

Henry F.

Yelp
Decided to stop in and get some pizza from this place after seeing the pictures. Definitely did not disappoint. The place is a little underwhelming, but the staff was super friendly and we were served in a very reasonable amount of time. We ordered one large cheese pizza that had, a lot of cheese on it and was super delicious. We also ordered the number one which I would refer to as a tomato pie sauce, garlic, and crust. If you're familiar with this type of pizza, there was amazing if you're not familiar, definitely give it a try it is very simple and great tasting Item. Definitely no complaints and would always go back and get the pizza. If there was one thing I would change is maybe offer ice for the drinks

Joey T.

Yelp
Ordered ahead of time. Got there, a 5 minute wait for the Pizza to come out nice and crispy. I'll say it again and again, Frank has a dough that's second to none. Homemade sausage and Wild Broccoli with a nice Mozzarella Topping on white, this is a 10.5 out of 10.

Nic S.

Yelp
To drive down the street, you wouldn't necessarily notice that the business houses a pizza artist. That is a mistake. The facade is underwhelming and no frills. The dining room is bare bones, unadorned yet spotless. You go to Coletti's for the pizza. We sought Coletti's out at the recommendation of a local weather broadcaster, an Italian from New Jersey. He knows good food and raved about it. (Insert happy dance here.) The pizza was screaming hot, on the most crisp and airy crust. Toppings were delicious and in a sensible amount. Two of us ate an entire pizza. We were full, and yet not stuffed. There was none of the heavy bloat. After we finished, the owner came out to ask if we enjoyed our meal and told us about his process-cold fermentation of the dough and organic flour. It made for a very digestible and delicious pizza. We can't wait to go back!

Michael V.

Yelp
We read about Coletti's Pizza Factory and decided to give them a try given they had 180+ reviews with an average of like 4.7. Man am I glad we decided to eat there because the pizza was fantastic! They make one size pizza-- medium. We ordered two medium and easily fed four people. The dough was spot on and there were just the right amount of toppings. The sauce was tasty and seemed to bring the whole pizza together. Give this place a try; you will be glad you did because this is the best pizza you may ever eat outside of Italy.

Haley B.

Yelp
Yes! Yes! Yes! After hearing several positive reviews of Colettis- we got our first pizza and it DID NOT disappoint! The sauce is delicious and the dough is thin with a good charred undercarriage. The takeout app is super easy to navigate and it was ready when we arrived. 10/10!

Jack M.

Yelp
Excellent Italian pizza... the real deal. Better than the chain pizza across the street by a mile!

K.M R.

Yelp
Great little place with amazing pizza. The dough is absolutely delicious. So happy to have this little gem near our new home.

Jeff D.

Yelp
Lewiston by the sea has outstanding pizza! The dough is thin and crispy. The toppings of pepperoni, sausage and peppers were perfectly cooked. The San Marzano tomatoes and creamy mozzarella masterfully placed this pizza into a different stratosphere. It doesn't take rocket appliances to know that this is the best pizza in the State.

Rose M.

Yelp
Absolutely 5 stars. Pizza place focused just on pizza. Neopolitan style. I have attached the menu as it was difficult to find on line. You can also create your own pizza. The crust was perfect. The ingredients were super fresh and I believe they make their own sausage. Prices are great. They take cash or debit. They have a parking lot. Small tables inside but too hot in summer with no AC.

Luis Hermann L.

Yelp
The food is delicious hot out of the oven . The serving is great and there is wine and soda . Plenty of parking ! Very nice interior eat out or in Hot and center pizza .

John S.

Yelp
When you have the urge for the best pizza available. This is the place. The owner is genuine, originally from Italy. It's strictly pizza, no other choices. Perfectly cooked, thin crust and quality ingredients. Had the Mediterranean pizza with artichokes and salami and it was delish. You can eat there and now can even get a glass of wine. Just remember you are here for the food not the atmosphere. Can't eat the decor. Lol.

Lisa F.

Yelp
We were staying in Kennebunkport and on the hunt for something casual and affordable.... thank you Yelp for leading us here! We stopped in and ordered at the counter-- the Diavola. With just the owner and one other guy working, the pizza still came out pretty fast! The diavola was pleasantly hot, but not too bad (we have a good heat tolerance). We added sausage (housemade!), it had a nice amount of toppings and it had a great crust. The owner was very friendly, coming out to chat with the few customers that the place can hold. Would definitely recommend!

Bob O.

Yelp
My wife and I had the Sausage pizza... phenomenal! Totally by far the BEST pizza in all of Maine and close to ALL of New England even New Haven. Frank, the best! Davey........come try it next time in Maine. Supreme undercarriage , slight flop, Rt 1 Biddeford.

John D.

Yelp
We decided to get some pizza from here while we were in Maine because of the reviews of the place. Parking - way to small for a place that has this much business. Pricing - on par with everyone else. Timeliness - took some time to get pizza, but they were slammed and it was a Friday night. This was to be expected. Taste - the pizza was outstanding. It was worth the wait. We went with two basic pizzas - plain and pepperoni. Both were fantastic, the plain was the better of the two. Their pizza is so good that it does not need any toppings to taste better.

Lucia D.

Yelp
Outstanding pizza !!!! Crust was light and crispy on the bottom. One of the best Margherita pizza's in Maine. No frills But clearly high quality pizza

Martin S.

Yelp
We were in the area and went to eat here 11/19/22. The pizza was excellent! We had sausage/onion toppings, and the pizza tasted great. The crust was thin, and the toppings didn't make the pizza soggy at all. Some of the best pizza in the area. We come thru Biddeford quite a bit, so we definitely will be back. There was a slight hiccup when our food came out, and they took immediate action to correct it. When we were sitting there, lots of people were coming in and picking up takeout. The workers were very busy and did a great job. There weren't a lot of tables there to eat in (3 or 4), but we don't live in the area so we couldn't do takeout. They appear to still be working on the setup, because we overheard many people commenting on the renovations when they came in to pick up their pizza.

Linda A.

Yelp
This Pizza Factory is a gem! Very small but it's more of a call ahead and take out. We have sat in and enjoyed our pizza there, and we've also called ahead and eaten at home. The pizza is a real Italian style, sauce is delicious and the crust is great, always done well. Be patient, the owner uses his time to prepare, and it can be very busy! We recommend very highly!

Joe G.

Yelp
Got the diavolo with prosciutto and a pepperoni.....absolutely delicious . Never had a bad experience at this establishment. I'm from the Bronx and very picky with pizza. Hands down best in maine

Jason L.

Yelp
My man Francisco is always serving up the . He's been killing it for years and doing it his own way. Do yourself a favor and order a four cheese banger pie if you're anywhere near Biddeford. Trust me, it's worth it

Ed M.

Yelp
I read about Coletti's in reviewing a list of pizza places in the country. Of course, I noticed that Coletti's was rated very highly so I had to check it out. I visited on a Saturday (mid-afternoon) with my family. Upon arrival, we were suprised to see the set up, inside. The location is set up in a home with, what looks like, some commercial businesses in the back and on the 2nd floor. The seating is tight, but it works. There are three tables that seat 4-5 people and two tables with room for two. We were met by a young man who was working the front. We could tell it was a busy time of the day as he was hustling around filling many customer orders and making sure they had what they needed. We ordered two large cheese pizzas with 4 drinks. We were able to sit down on at one of the tables and await the arrival of our pizza. As we waited, customers came in and picked up to-go orders and two other groups came in to eat-in. The pizza came rather quickly and we were all very excited to try it. Upon first bite, we were all thrilled with the dough, cheese and sauce. There were some small pieces of basil, which I am not a fan of but it was easily removed. Each pizza was cut into 8 slices. The pizza was average size. In finishing up the pizza and drinks, we packed up and moved on our way. I gave the pizza a B+ There was nothing wrong with the pizza but I have had much better. Would I go back? I don't know...if I was in the area, I think I would try another place to compare it with. Whoever rated this pizza as the #1 around has no idea what they are talking about. Again, not a bad stop but certainly not the best pizza around.

Mel M.

Yelp
Sooooooo good! I tell everyone about it and I live over an hour away. My absolute favorite.

Gabrielle D.

Yelp
Wow! I was originally in the area to go somewhere else for dinner and ended up at Coletti's and boy am I glad I did. Coletti's is in a standard house, appears to have no table service but is putting out some of the most authentic Italian pizza I've ever had. My husband and I ordered online and the pies were not quite ready when I arrived. I waited and the young gentleman working there was very friendly. We got the #4 Diavola which is VERY spicy. The owner told me they could make it less spicy next time. We also got the #2 Artisan pizza with white sauce. This one was much more approachable and delicious. We'll definitely return but I'm interested in trying other flavors next time. This place is unexpectedly very authentic Italian and delicious.

Cristal C.

Yelp
This is hands down the BEST pizza around! No debate. I've never been blessed with such a fantastic pie before Coletti's! The flavor and cook is on point at all times. Always satisfied!

Jennifer G.

Yelp
After moving from New York to Maine, it's always been hard to find a pizza that compares. This made me feel just at home.

Tim M.

Yelp
This pizza place is off the chart. Fantastic pizza. Very light crust. Very flavorful. I met a galler in airplane that suggested on my drive from Boston to Portland Maine that I stopped by here. It did not disappoint.

Autumn B.

Yelp
This guy is f***ing awesome. I drive over an hour for this pizza and it's 1000% worth it. I'd let Frank adopted me if I'm being honest. I know it's been said many times but coming from New Jersey/New York area you don't want to eat pizza in Maine. But this man changed the game. Much love

Richard C.

Yelp
If you enjoy mediocre, salty, pizza and are willing to wait an hour and fifteen minutes, this place is for you. We called in an order at 7:00 pm on a Saturday night, were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. On arrival 15 minutes later, we learned it would be another 20 minutes. One hour later we got our pizza - 8:15 pm. During our wait we encountered the manager ( or perhaps the owner) who told us if we wanted fast food, we should go to McDonalds and if we were in Italy, we'd wait three hours. Suffice it to say the mediocre nature of the pizza coupled with staff's attitude will not prompt a return. Just plain poor.

Wendy S.

Yelp
Delicious pizza. Ordered online pizza was ready and waiting. The crust is the best I have had around here.

Tim B.

Yelp
Just from reading the owners responses to some of the reviews, I would never think of setting foot in this place.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Haven't tasted pizza this good since I was in Italy! Quick and friendly service. Ordered the Four Cheese pizza and would highly recommend!

Dean B.

Yelp
My family and I were in Maine (Kennebunkport) for a wedding, coming from Colorado, and I had to have some east coast pizza. (Colorado Springs pizza is very sad). The reviews for Coletti's we're pretty solid, so I put it on my schedule. First, the place is really small with counter service only. The owner is a character, but is pretty funny. We just ordered a large pepperoni, mushroom on their four cheese standard pizza. I also ordered a Peroni beer. They weren't very busy at 2:00 on a Friday afternoon, so the pizza came out really quick. First, for anyone expecting a cardboard like stiff crust like you might get in CT, this isn't for you. It's loaded with cheese and toppings and is really floppy. However, it was DELICIOUS. Crust was nicely charred, but with all the cheese on it, it almost needed utensils. If I lived there I'd would order it regularly. The only real negative, was it was smoking hot in there, and my beer was warm, but it was only $4, so I drank it anyway.

Angela E.

Yelp
It truly excellent. Since moving to Maine the food seen in our area has been very depressing, over priced and most of the time gross. Everything seems to come out of a Costco bag. I found this by chance. I've had the top 3 pizzas in the US and I think this place is just as good. Drive right past Otto in Biddeford and there it is! Get the Greek. It's to die for.

Alan J.

Yelp
I have to say Coletti's pizza is on top of any in the area. I once arrived in Naples Italy at 11 pm starving from a long train ride and found a great pizza restaurant . I have not to this day met it's match until my first Coletti's masterpiece. The reason I decided to try, was the yelp reviews. When this guy gets SO MANY 5 stars, and so few dislikes it says a lot. Having been a business owner myself, it's true, there are a minimal percentage of customers you just can't please no mater what. I chose to try because Franks rebuttals made me laugh out loud. He is like in the Seinfeld episode of '' no soup for you". This guy rocks! And his pizza's rock because he cares what he puts out.

Christopher V.

Yelp
A legitimate care for their craft and the quality of their pies make Coletti's stand out. Located in an unassuming white-and-red New England-style house, it is easy to miss...But DON'T. This is one example of a pizza restaurant that focuses on a handful of tried and true creations rather than a smorgasbord of curiosities.

John G.

Yelp
Most important thing is this pizza is fantastic. I would have given a 5 Star rating if it was not for one service issue. We were told 2 times that it would be an extra 5 - 10 extra minutes. If the pizza is going to take 45 minutes, please tell me 45 minutes. If it is going to take an hour, tell me an hour. I don't want to wait in the parking lot in the cold. Believe me, this pizza is so good I would wait. Hope this post is seen by the staff.

Heather L.

Yelp
Fantastic brick oven pizza! My boyfriend and I typically order from here 2-3 times a month. Even though we live in Portland, we happily make the drive to Biddeford for this fabulously delicious pizza! They have a few special pizzas, but you can build your own as well. They offer white or red sauce options, and a variety of toppings. They are on the pricier side in comparison with your standard commercialized pizza places, but it is so worth it. You will be happy you went with Coletti's, and will know that within the very first bite. Don't overlook this gem! :)

Barry S.

Yelp
Simply the best.crust awesome.highly recommend.menu good choices. Very good to see these guys getting busy.

Bill W.

Yelp
Best Pizza within 50 miles! Busy place on weekends give yourself plenty of time for pickup!

Susan B.

Yelp
Top notch pizza. The spicy pizza was exceptional. Owner gave a little tour of the back of house where the fine dough is created.

Eliza B.

Yelp
Having spent time in NYC I have had the pizza there several times. Colettis is on par with the best pizza in NYC. It is baked to perfection. The staff is friendly and kind. This is the only pizza we'll eat around here.

Maureen B.

Yelp
Fantastic Pizza we always got Alex's on our way home from Portland. If you want a great artisan pizza this is your place. From Portland to Portsmouth I highly recommend Coletti's. A little quirky, not much curb appeal but don't let that stop you.

Jason H.

Yelp
Drove over an hour in pouring rain to try this "coveted pizza" Both social media sites claimed it to be open. Arrived to locked doors. Sent the owner a message on FB and got the reply that basically "in a perfect world I would be open but unfortunately can't find any decent help and do what I can to also have a life". I replied that was trash service and that normally an apology would suffice and the owner has a responsibility to communicate an early closing, to which I received a reply "get a life". Will never know if the pizza is good, but certainly the owner doesn't seem to have the capacity to be running a reputable business. Fortunately, Otto's Pizza was just down the road and provided an excellent product, outstanding atmosphere and quality service. Do not recommend due to ownership instability.

Kevin P.

Yelp
The best Pizza in the United States. The owner Franco is very friendly. Beautiful authentic shop. My favorite is the Volcano!

Jerry M.

Yelp
We were staying in Biddeford for 3 days and were tired of eating at the breweries so we looked for a good pizza place. Coletti's came up as the best pizza in Biddeford so we gave it a try. Its a small, non-de script place with great pizza and Italian wine and beer. We had the margarita pizza and it was great. My wife loved the perfectly baked thin crust, the flavor and the dark Italian beer. Thrilled to see it rated so high and just wish it was here in SW Florida.
