Apparently the name of the restaurant means "hill" in Portuguese/Spanish. It is, in fact, on a hill.
Great atmosphere, cozy, and solid sound dampening in the room. It was extra quiet on a Monday evening.
The food was bomb, especially the peach salad with pomegranate, feta, pecans and yuzu dressing. One of us literally said, “okay now that is the best salad I’ve ever had.” And she’s been to a lot of places. For £9.25, that salad is unreal value. The burrata with pesto was also bomb. We love a limited menu.
I had the Lamb Merguez, which apparently is lamb sausage. Combined with a chickpea salad and minted yoghurt, it was delicious...super savoury.
We were a group of six so tried most of the mains. There were rave reviews all around. No one spoke up about their meal because they didn’t want to have to share.
For dessert we had ice cream, chocolate & cherry. Delicious. Great spot, would definitely recommend.
