"You’ll find Colina in the downstairs of Fort Road Hotel, one of Margate’s swisher seafront places to stay. With that in mind, it’s not massively surprising that this all-day southern European restaurant feels like a sharing plates restaurant you might find in Shoreditch. There’s tasteful mahogany furniture, a changing blackboard, and a room of people who are, let’s face it, mostly down from London. It’s a little higher priced than other Margate restaurants and all things told, isn’t totally worth it. Simple dishes like risotto or patatas bravas can be criminally under-seasoned so observe your surroundings (the seaside) and stick to what feels best (seafood). A bowl of fresh clams or a plate of anchovy taglierini are wise moves. photo credit: Colina photo credit: Colina photo credit: Colina" - Jake Missing

We visited Colina Restaurant last night and had a fantastic experience. The tapas were delicious, perfectly complemented by a lovely Uruguayan Tannat red wine. The ambiance was enhanced by great music and beautiful decor. The place, the food, and the staff were all amazing. We highly recommend it!

I loved every bite of this perfectly cooked, well presented, finger lickings delicious, fresh, full of flavour, food. Compliments to the chef. Strongly recommend. Servise supreme: servers competent and knowledgable about the menu plus very attentive. GOOD JOB.

Fantastic spot in Margate! The food is great, we had the octopus salad, crab tagliatelle, bavette and deserts, highly recommend the peach sorbet for dessert. The atmosphere is cozy, and they even allow dogs, which was a huge plus. We were served by Harry, who was very welcoming. Highly recommend this place for both locals and visitors! 10 out of 10, would dine here again 😁

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Colina Restaurant for my Birthday party in Margate and it was an exceptional experience. The food was outstanding, particularly the baby chicken and clams dishes among others,The flavors were perfectly balanced and left me wanting more. The waiting staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The open rooftop facilities added a special touch, allowing us to enjoy our time with a breathtaking view. I highly recommend Colina Restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Margate.

I had a wonderful experience at Colina. Everything I ate and drank was excellent, especially the shrimp burger and the lemon tart. The restaurant is conveniently located, looking right out to the coastline. It had a very cosy and inviting atmosphere, which was helped by the wonderful staff.

Visited the Colina restaurant this evening which is part of the Fort Road Hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and attention to detail was very good. They answered all questions regarding the menu items and specials. The drinks and food service was prompt and whole dining experience was not hurried. The menu items were varied food and quality was extremely good, overall an excellent evening and reasonable prices. Will be returning in the future.

We went in for lunch on a Tuesday. We were told service would take 20 minutes despite ordering club sandwiches (£15) and a plate of pasta. After 30 minutes the server shared that they’d had a problem defrosting (!) bread and that our sandwiches were on burger buns instead… food came out 40 minutes after we were seated. The burger buns weren’t toasted. Very peculiar for a restaurant at this price point. A £15 sandwich needs to be amazing. These were extremely average sandwiches. The friend that had pasta said was good. No concessions were offered, I didn’t ask. I live in Margate but probably won’t go back.
