I honestly don’t understand how places like this start presenting themselves as ‘trendy.’ The people here simply don’t know how to cook, and they can’t even handle basic presentation, let alone service. The food wasn’t just bad, it was completely empty. Not a single dish had any balance of flavor or a coherent idea behind it. You can’t just boil beetroot and call it a tartare. The plating was terrible. Undercooked, cold egg in a mushroom dish was especially disgusting.
The octopus was bad in every possible way: overcooked, dry, with a burnt, bitter crust. The potatoes were overdried, as were the pieces of chorizo, which were nearly impossible to chew.
The service was very poor. The waitstaff seemed tense and on edge, like they running a marathon, offered almost no help with the menu, and kept clicking their pens, which was extremely annoying.
We left hungry and with bad taste in a mouth, like we’ve visited a cheap canteen, but paid 100+€ for that.
