"Located between Nice's port and the Colline du Château, this restaurant brings together the flavours of Colombia and Italy in bright and colourful fusion dishes cooked up by chefs Carlos and Daniele. Diners soak up the warm, relaxed atmosphere on the spacious terrace with orange seating or in the narrow indoor dining space done out in terracotta hues. In the visible kitchen, it is all about open-flame cooking – on plancha and parrilla grills. Grilled octopus, braised veal chop and sardines in a chimichurri sauce deliver intense flavours; a vibrant and well-balanced Peruvian ceviche combines white fish, red onion, crunchy sweetcorn and sweet potato. An authentic spot straddling two culinary cultures." - Michelin Inspector

I honestly don’t understand how places like this start presenting themselves as ‘trendy.’ The people here simply don’t know how to cook, and they can’t even handle basic presentation, let alone service. The food wasn’t just bad, it was completely empty. Not a single dish had any balance of flavor or a coherent idea behind it. You can’t just boil beetroot and call it a tartare. The plating was terrible. Undercooked, cold egg in a mushroom dish was especially disgusting. The octopus was bad in every possible way: overcooked, dry, with a burnt, bitter crust. The potatoes were overdried, as were the pieces of chorizo, which were nearly impossible to chew. The service was very poor. The waitstaff seemed tense and on edge, like they running a marathon, offered almost no help with the menu, and kept clicking their pens, which was extremely annoying. We left hungry and with bad taste in a mouth, like we’ve visited a cheap canteen, but paid 100+€ for that.

We found this gem from the Michelin guide and I highly recommend everyone go before this place gets too cool for anyone, because it is inevitable. We did the tasting menu for dinner which was a steal at only €50. Each dish was incredible and the chefs cook right in front of you at the bar for the tasting menu. Dinner and cocktails were delicious. Staff and chefs were so kind and warm, would definitely come back if we ever visit Nice again.

I got the lunch experience there. The atmosphere there is really nice! The presentation of the dishes was visually pleasing. The starter and main dish I chose are in Thai style, and it’s quite refreshing. The dessert was a bit disappointing for me as the chocolate mousse was too airy and light. In general, the portions of the meal were just enough for a girl but it’s a worth trying restaurant if you want some fusion french cuisine.

Carlos and his team were incredible. From friendly service upon walking in the door, to the attentiveness with every detail of each meal. The entire dining experience was fantastic. The food was balanced with so many different tastes. It was like nothing I had ever eaten before. Very delicious!

This is a very nice restaurant, with a cozy, yet formal atmosphere. The dishes are very well presented and the taste of everything we had served was magnificent. The staff are all very welcoming and made sure we had an enjoyable time. I highly recommend opting for the chefs choice of food for the evening: We were served four starters, a main course and a dessert. Everything was a surprise, and all so, so good!

A sophisticated, relatively new restaurant run by an Italian-Colombian duo. The décor is beautiful, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere. We enjoyed the ceviche, maigre fillet, and octopus—everything was very tasteful and well prepared. The menu features a great mix of vegetarian options, fish, and meat dishes. Drinks were excellent as well. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a relaxed evening with friends. The service is attentive, friendly, and efficient.

The restaurant features a beautifully styled interior and a spacious outdoor patio. Service was professional, attentive, and efficient. Every course, from cocktails to dessert, was delicious and elegantly presented. Prices are very reasonable given the quality of both the food and the service. Cocktails: • Pornstar Martini • Espresso Martini • Fresh up Starters: • Duck tataki with charcoal-cooked corn mousse and Thai sauce • Braised seasonal mushrooms, organic soft-cooked egg, aromatic herb salad • Hand-cut beef tartare, sweet potato, suero costeño and plantain chips • Grilled vegetable platter with burrata and pesto Mains: • Flambéed octopus with turmeric carrot purée and cherry tomatoes • 250g beef fillet, mushrooms, teriyaki sauce Dessert: • Colita Tiramisú • Chocolate foam, caramel custard and peanut nougatine Instagram: @colita_restaurant_nice

This restaurant has a great vibe. The dishes are tasty and well platted. The wine list is well curated. The atmosphere is viby but not overwhelmingly crowded or noisy. Service is good and staff is kind. I’d recommend some explanation about the dishes as they are served as well as more information upon request when ordered. Overall it’s a nice place and I would go back again.
