We ordered alumni cheesesteaks with extra provolone and they were the best I have ever had. Like my mom said you know the food is bomb anytime you can eat it the next day w/o heating it up lol. I was able to chat with the owner who was really nice and native of Philly about the craziness that is Hollywood. She truly picked the right profession. She is killing it!!! We will definitely be back next year for sure!!!!

Had a wonderful chat with the owner Josette this evening while my steak was cooked. Went for the alumni with American cheese and grilled onions. It was delicious.

For starters the beef alumni cheesesteak was delicious but tbh what really shines is the hospitality and care the family puts into their service. Ide go just to chat with the fine owners of the establishment. -Elijah

I visited Los Angeles for the first time last weekend and was treated to a cheesesteak and fries from College Boy Cheesesteaks. This was the best cheesesteak I have ever had. And the packaging of the food was classy and professional. The strawberry lemonade and fries were awesome too. I highly recommend this business.

The Experience I tell you was PHENOMENAL. I was greeted with the most beautiful smile from the young lady at the truck when I arrived “how may I help you”. to the cook making sure my was order was up to part. The truck was Cleaaaaaaan inside and out. Wait y’all! They even have clean tables and chairs so you can dine on the Sunset. Come catch you some views. To fancy for me (watch out-now). That’s what I’m talking about. I will be back for sure sooner than you think.

Wanted an authentic tasting Philly cheesesteak and I have heard many great things about College Boy before but I had yet to have to try it, until tonight. I noticed them set up on Atlantic Ave while I was in the LB/Bixby Knolls area. I was in charge of dinner for tonight for me and my girlfriend so I went with College Boy. I am glad I stopped because let me just say this, everything about my order was executed perfectly, imo. I went with the mushroom major cheesesteak and an order of the frat fries with the spicy frat sauce on the side. The fries were fried to perfection with an amazing crispy and crunchy texture. The fries had this nice and buttery taste and, even though crispy, they seemed to melt in your mouth. Accompanied with the frat fries was the perfectly flavored cheese wiz which was not overly salty like other places I have tried! I was pleasantly surprised by how good the cheese wiz was ! Atop the fries and cheese was the perfectly seasoned and cooked steak and onions ! I highly recommend the frat fries with the tasty and not overly spicy frat sauce which is a nice accompaniment to the fries if you're craving a nice kick of a tasty sauce with a kick Imagine a sauce similar to a sriracha aioli but not overly spicy but very tasty ! The mushroom major cheesesteak itself was very delicious to say the least. The steak and mushrooms, cooked to perfection and piping hot, was perfectly seasoned and served on an authentic amoroso roll. The tender steak along with the onions mushrooms and cheese was a great combination. To drink I had the homemade strawberry lemonade which was very delicious. It wasn't too sweet and not too sour, it was just right! The service was great and the ordering process was a breeze. The location in Long Beach is very clean and well lit! The menu was very straightforward and to the point I have yet to visit Philadelphia and try authentic Philly cheesesteaks from the city but my fat senses tell me that College Boy is the real deal and we are lucky to have them here in Los Angeles! I highly recommend College Boy cheesesteaks if you're looking for delicious and perfectly executed cheesesteaks and fries ! Me and my girlfriend will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to all of our family and friends! 10/10 highly recommend!! Thank you College Boy Cheesesteaks!

Meh, the steaks were nothing special. Definitely didn't meet my expectations. The bread didn't taste fresh. The meat was not flavorful . The amount of meat in the sandwiches is also very small. It barely makes a full hero. The fries however are excellent.The wait time was over 20 minutes and I was the only person in line. I also didn't appreciate how the lady who took my order just kept my change as a tip without even asking. She should have at least asked if I wanted my change back. I think the combo came out to $22 and change. I gave $23 and she took it and walked away. All in all very disappointing will not go back

Was really wanting to like this cheesesteak but was really disappointed. Service was fast and friendly and the only reason to not get 2 stars. Small portion, completely flavorless and unseasoned meat, on a small soft roll which was forgettable. The crispy fries were mediocre as well. They're crispy not because of the way they cook them but a breading that coats them and takes away any flavor of potato. Price point very high for a small quantity of mediocre food. Sad cause I live down the street and am tired of the local spots so was hoping this would be a homerun but wasn't!

The Best cheesesteak i have ever had, hands down. If you want Authentic Philly cheesesteak, this is a must try in Hollywood, CA. Will be back.

We actually did eat at your truck when we were in weho and decided to try it and got food poisoning we also did see your truck in the valley when we were attending school at Csun where we saw you cause drama and use racist comments towards those workers. Which is why we left that review a year ago and updated another review when we ate 5 months. We in fact had your food ONCE and got sick unsure what family you will be praying for but thanks

I got the standard cheesesteak and it was delicious! Not too salty and not too bland. The bread was so soft. I did think it was on the oiler side but I still very much enjoyed it. I did think it was weird that they upcharged for cheese wiz when I substituted the cheese.

Major disappointment on this one - but I will put the disclaimer this was at a large convention. Spent an hour in line despite there only being 3 people in front of me. The food itself came out fairly soon after ordering, so I imagine something happened with the chef. Regardless, I ordered a the chicken with Pepperjack and no mayo, paid an extra $1.75 for lettuce and pickles. Finally got my $20 sandwich and was sorely disappointed. Not only did they get the order itself wrong, it was small and clearly cheap ingredients like Costco bread and what I suspect is canned chicken. The cashier lady who took my order was lively and kind, and the company's origin story is touching, but the product is expensive and sub-par at best. Hoping their usual operation is better.

I've been wanting to try their food for a long time and Boy was it worth the wait. Good Customer Service. Food ordered in Served in a timely fashion. Ingredients were fresh and the Bread was AMAZING. Overall it was DELICIOUS and I will come back again! 9.5/10

Let me tell you something right here and now - and lean in so you can hear me loud and clear - this experience was one for the books! As a fellow foodie, please believe the fresh ingredients on this masterpiece melted in my your mouth on Sunday afternoon at the fifteen percent event and it is still on my mind at 10:58pm pst as I lay in bed attempting to fall asleep but must find out their location to re-up. Understand there may be a line and you will wait. However, perfection, made fresh takes time. I'm going to dance and record my first reel about this Philly cheesesteak on next bite. My only gripe is that moms didn't give me a heads up that I should treat myself and not cheat myself - order 2 - 5 and eat on em daily - trust - thank you

One of the best consistent places around. I've followed the for years. Even tho they don't remember me, I go as much as I can because it's so amazing!!!!

I rarely leave bad reviews and it breaks my heart to do so because we used to love this place. The sandwiches are smaller and still expensive, y'all are no longer branding the logo onto the sandwich. I got a sandwich today with fries and a drink and paid dang near $27 for it and it was dry. I sat this half next to the sauce container to show how tiny they've gotten. I love y'all but I wish y'all would start doing things they way you used too. Why would you fix something that was never broken? The location I visited was in Manchester and Western. The staff was very kind and friendly so I'm not trying to bash them at all.

Tried them out this past Sunday on Sunset and La Brea. Delicious cheese steaks and fries were perfect. Highly recommend.

Finally, a cheesesteak that's worth your time to drive and sink your teeth into! Fresh Amoroso rolls that aren't so large and doughy, tasty meat, great service. I'm from PA and still the best cheesesteak I've EVER had is a place I've been going to as a kid...Dottie's Snack Bar in Quarryville, PA on route 222 South. They use a secret au jus that gives the sandwich a very unique flavor. I'm resigned to not getting that note in any cheesesteak I'll find anywhere else. So, that said, give College Boy a try. They operate out of a food truck and the folks who run it are very congenial. I'll go back.

Delicious does NOT COVER IT! I tried while they were parked at Northridge THURSDAYS (In Plaza where Vons is) (Nordoff and Reseda) and what a GREAT decision! I ordered a Mango lemonade which was a delicious sweet treat! Then after a long day with a 2 hour commute included I was told they ran out of chicken!!! I was so unhappy #LAMoment! But then THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD SOME AND EVEN OFFERED ME TO TRY IT!!! I dont have a picture of the sandwich but as a cheesesteak lover this was DELICIOUS!!! See attached for menu TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! Introduction: I love a good cheesesteak but it's very hard to find a legitimate cheesesteak that's made well. For a Philly cheesesteak to be legitimate, it has to have three main things: good meat(s), cheese whiz, and most importantly, the Amoroso roll. Philly Cheesesteak was invented in the 1930s originally by a hot dog vendor when he had the idea to start chopping up steaks and putting it on buns that were used to hold the hot dogs; the problem was the meat juice from the steak, the water from the onions, and other condiments caused the buns to become soggy and fall apart. Hence the hot dog vendor contacted the Amoroso Baking Company and the Amoroso Baking Company made a roll that was sturdy enough to contain all the cheesesteak's content. Food: Cheesesteak: At College Boy Cheesesteaks they offer four options: Associates, Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate cheesesteaks. The higher the degrees, the more ingredients there are in the cheesesteaks. Since I've never been the studious type, I opted to only get a Bachelors. Everything tasted great except I wished they would have given me more cheese whiz for the cheesesteak; it was the only thing that was deficient with for my order. Prior to coming to College Boy, I usually get my Philly cheesesteak fix by going to Boo's Philly Cheesesteak in Silverlake. College Boy beats Boo's in the quality of the meat they use for their cheesesteaks; the beef is of superior quality and it tasted more savory in comparison to the beef Boo's uses for their cheesesteaks. Service: The proprietor and staff are cordial and polite Price: Reasonable Advice: I have College Boy on Facebook but to best track their schedule, follow them on Instagram; sometimes the schedule on Facebook tends to be slightly out of date.

DANG, so good. I wasn't even hungry, but wanted to grab something as I was leaving downtown Disney. Ended up eating the whole cheesesteak. I would've been sad on the last bite, but they're gonna be in downtown Disney till March, so I'm coming back! The people are SUPER nice! I got a doctorate and plain fries to take home. The fries were nicely packed up in a cup, covered, and the cheesesteak was tidily wrapped up. There was even a mint with the napkins. Appreciate it! Doctorate cheesesteak IS SO GOOD. Had pickles, peppers, SO MUCH CHEESESTEAK, mushrooms, and grilled onions. It may seem spendy, but it is HUGE and they do not skimp on cheesesteak. Fries were GBD - golden, brown, delicious! They season with black pepper, so the plain fries are tasty as-is. I'm gonna get the cheese fries next time. In the meantime, going to continue to reminisce on how tasty it was

Quality people with a meaningful story and a food culture directly removed from Philly and established where ever their tires take them... yall need to call the mayor to speak to the Governor about an ambassadorship program to whereever yall are at if you want to have Someone Represent Philly it's TEXT BOOK "Collegeboy Cheese Steak" It's the only Bachelors I'll ever get, but even I was smart enough to make that choice ...literally pouring with cheesy savory umami flavor from tip to drip and I skip out on the onions have them replaced with sweet peppers and add some house sauce....best pointer I'll give you is order fries and eat your sandwich over them no waste ;) DONT FORGET THE NAPKINS AND TELL THEM CHUCKIE D from 42strains SENT YOU it will only get you a fist bump but they will know you came with your heart

Visited during their pop up for Downtown Disney's black history month celebration & had a great time! The whole staff is so friendly and lively & the collegiate theming is FUN! We tried the Associate's cheesesteak and it was perfect. We were glad we didn't add any sauces like ranch or BBQ because we would have missed the super flavorful beef and great bun. We would gladly come back again!

A nice surprise here at Downtown Disney right now. The cheesesteaks definitely live up to the claim that they are made by people from Philly. We ordered two bachelors and both came out exactly as ordered and the portion was fair, but it did take about ten minutes. The staff was super friendly as well. The only issue I have is the egregious pricing. Even for on property Disney I had to double take when I was told the total. Two bachelors ended up being $37 before tip, crazy! I unfortunately cannot see us coming back for a second visit even with how good the food was. Lower the prices and we'll be back!

I'm from Philadelphia so I know how a cheesesteak is suppose to be made I got a chicken cheesesteak it was very good only thing that messed up the cheesesteak was the rolls it was very small and it wasn't the good Amoroso rolls for what they cost they need to make them Jawns bigger they charge more for a cheesesteak there then in Philly but I'll still give them 5 stars I would go back again

The meat was decent but the sandwich didn't have enough cheese and lacks flavor. I got the Dr the sandwich was small as well and for the price I have to say I won't be coming back.. My favorite is in Glendora ca called west coast cheesesteaks thank me later.

We stopped here on our way home from universal studios and will definitely be coming back! We got the frat fries (loaded with cheese sauce, meat and grilled onions) and they were the best fries we've ever had. The cheesesteak was cooked to perfection. Service was great too!

I saw the College Boy Cheesesteaks food truck and I decided to try them out. I got the Doctorate Beef Cheesesteak. (they also do chicken cheesesteaks). I enjoyed it and the collection of flavors that hit my palette! Well done! They were quick with the order and explained my options. I appreciated the professionalism! The truck was located on Sunset just west of La Brea across from the Mobil gas station. Drop by and give them a try!

Great service and great tasting! Both matter when spending my money eating out! The sandwich it self was seasoned , flavorful and not dry at all ever the the steak was nice and lean. (I don't like Grizzle and chunks if fat.) So I was very happy Also , order the fries and they were hot, slightly crispy and seasoned. Just the meal I needed!!!! I love College Boy sandwiches, but wish they had college boy prices $18+ for a food truck steak and cheese no drink no side is super expensive. You'll need a student loan just to get a combo with fries and a drink

I haven't had a good one in LA for over 4 years because they all pretty much stink, even the ones "voted best in LA." The sandwich is near perfect. I had the Masters. Bread was soft and delicious. Sandwich was not messy and only dropped a few scant onions. When the sandwich is perfect you taste every individual flavor and all of them together and this is it. The French fries were a surprise, nice and crispy and not just the standard food service french fry. Price was moderate compared to the quality. Fast, friendly staff on the truck. Like what else could one ask for? Enjoy!

This good truck has some great food. The fries were perfect and well seasoned. The cheesesteak was great but I added the signature sauce and probably shouldn't have as I was more in the mood for a classic cheesesteak. My own fault in the ordering process!

I ordered two sandwiches, two fries and two can sodas. It came to $60 . Their food is too overpriced especially them being parked in the hood where ppl Don't have money like that and then they're probably wondering why they didn't have a line. Furthermore, the food was okay but not $60 worth . Just disappointed that my black folks are charging this much . Customer service was great tho .

I've really grown to love this place, their burgers are large, hearty and the fries are more than enough for one person to eat. Each order is always cooked fresh. I love that they're parked close to my house and at one of my favorite parks I frequent a few times a week. The prices are very reasonable and the guy that always waits on me is super friendly. The service was good very friendly and the food was ok I'm a little annoyed that they're tap machine wasn't working and that they don't take big bills should have made an exception since it was they're fault I didn't want to be difficult so just pulled another card to swipe I should have just cancelled the order not worth seeing this on my bill I like to support small businesses specially minority owned but this was not it sorry.

These cheesesteaks brought me right back to the streets of Philly. A little pricey, but you'l know what? I think it's worth it. (Plus most food trucks can be a little pricey if we're being honest.) I have had trouble finding cheesesteaks comparable to the ones Back East and College Boy Cheesesteaks came through big time. Hot, juicy, and flavorful.

Went by the food truck at Downtown Disney last night on our way out! So excited to try something new! The lady who took our order was super nice, even when I asked for changes. It was SO expensive, $50 for two sandwiches & one order of fries! Crazy, even for Disney standard! Anyway, I only ate a quarter because I wasn't that hungry, figured I would save it for today's lunch, hubby ate all of his. Almost as soon as we got home, I felt very gassy, so did he. I'll spare you the rest of the details, but let's just say we both had a ROUGH night! As an industry professional myself, I did notice the guy making our food was not wearing gloves. Very disappointed especially since it was so expensive & I thought lunch was taken care of....what's that saying... cleanliness is close to Godliness?
