"Fairbanks has the usual assortment of pizza joints you’d expect in a town its size, but one of the big standouts is College Town Pizza. It has the feel of a hometown round-the-corner hangout, with simple white walls, low-back booths, and a few tables that look out onto College Road. It’s the perfect place to come on a Tuesday night, order a large pie and a pitcher or two of local beer, and park it for the long haul. They have thirteen vegetarian pizza combo options, and nearly twice that many with animal protein. It’s all classic New York style. They also offer calzones, strombolis, and house-made cannoli." - Kris Farmen

Google
Delicious pizza! Their crust is more on the thin side. I ordered the Diablo breadsticks with ghost ranch and it was great. My only complaint is that I was expecting thick cheese sticks and these were paper thin, but they were still delicious anyway. If you love spicy, try their ghost ranch.

One bite, and everyone knows... I decided to give College Town Pizzeria in Fairbanks another chance to see if they've improved since my first taste in 2015/2016, when they were amazing. However, they went downhill a few years later, and I've been disappointed every time I gave them another chance. This time, I decided to give them another try under new ownership and ordered the classic Smokejumper, but unfortunately, they didn't have smoked mozzarella, so the pizza didn't have that distinct smoky flavor. The pizza was just average, nothing special.

Google
Ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and the flavor was really good, but it needed more ingredients/toppings. The employees were very welcoming and friendly. The cannoli was also very yummy. I plan to come back and hopefully there will be a little more toppings on the pizza

Garrett Oats

Google
Amazing pizza, appetizers, and customer service. Ordered the Pizza Rolls, was not expecting them to be that big! Well worth the price. The pepperoni perfect pizza was amazing as well. The employees are all very nice and welcome everyone that comes in.

Google
Sadly, the pizza was bland and not that good, I had some dominoe’s later that day and it had more sauce and flavor than College town. 2 slices for 10 bucks or a large carryout from the latter for the same price…….

Google
We ordered pesto chicken pizza and the big salad. The flavor of the pesto chicken pizza was nice, but just there’s no much chicken on it. The big salad was nice with different types of veggie, bread crumbs, egg, bacon, etc. Overall, it’s a nice and quick option for pizza.

Google
College Town Pizzeria is a family favorite. Pizza is good, salads fresh and calzones are 🤤 Boys can get a single slice, family friendly atmosphere and service, indoor and outdoor seating. My kids favorite part though is the stand of bpard/card games available to take to your table for some enjoyable time.

Google
This is the second time eating here and the experience was even better than the first. Ordered the Kulua Pork Pizza. The perfect mixture of pulled pork, pineapple, bacon, jalapeños and a sweet bbq sauce. Excellent choice. Also ordered the Gyro Calazone. Another item I would highly recommend. The restaurant is small and cozy. Service is outstanding. Felt welcomed from the moment we walked in.

Yelp
This pizza is good. When I say in other reviews about how I go eat somewhere that doesn't make me sad after a business lunch- this is the place I go to.

Catherine V.

Yelp
We ordered a meat pizza and it had pepperoni and a few pieces of sausage. The cheese pizza was sliced but the slices didn't match kinda like it was recycled. Had a spinach pizza and had no flavor !!! Worst $70.00!!! Ever spent!! And then charged for ranch dressing and didn't have any crushed peppers or parmesan cheese.

Cassidy H.

Yelp
The pizza isn't bad, nothing special though. The cannolis are disgusting- don't even waste your money. We got two, each took a small bite and threw them straight into the trash.

Michael-Brandon G.

Yelp
Great Service, Owner was super helpful with pizza options he would order himself. Food was amazing definitely recommend to anyone stopping in fairbanks or just want a slice of pizza

Jewelynn H.

Yelp
The Aegean is amazing!!! Classic salad is a smaller dinner sized portion, and the pizza is always amazing. Thin, crispy, delicious crust. Atmosphere is nice and comfortable. No beer, but great selection of soft beverages! Would recommend if you're looking for delicious pizza, and want to support a small business! Service is always super welcoming and informative!

Doug W.

Yelp
I remember when this place opened. It was a great place back then. I recently came back to Fairbanks after many years and stopped by. This time around, the pizza was just ok. Oddly, I paid for a slice and was given no change. I thought it was a mistake, so just figured it would be my tip. However, as I left, the owner said something like 'Come back when you have more money', so now I'm not so sure. Pity.

Valencia T.

Yelp
I'm giving this place 2 stars because: -1 Service. The on shift waitress forgot to bring me my drink after saying she would and asked me to sit. I also had to go back to counter to ask for refills after she carried a tray of refills to other tables. -1 Empty plates that the waitress never picked up after continuously walking by them multiple times. Food was good though. Ordered Lemon Pepper wings and a Godfather calzone.

Kiki S.

Yelp
This is a great little pizza joint even more so if you want a quick lunch, they always have a variety of pizza slices in the oven but as always it's also a great idea to order the one you really want. enjoy

Michelle S.

Yelp
My first review was when I was fairly new to Fairbanks and didn't realize the super low standards for service. That being set aside, I've found that the pizza has improved greatly. It's traditional NY style now and the sauce is garlicky and good. I grab slices from College town about once a week or so for lunch. My go to lunch place.

Tony D.

Yelp
Cold beer tasty pizza. Place is run down but who cares!? It's a pizza place. Service was fine and did I say the beer was cold? Oh yea I did. Beer was tasty and the pizza was on the money. Prices are fair and we were in an out with in 20 min of ordering. I'd recommend it to the bros looking for something good fast. I don't recommend to people looking for a classy sit down place.

Courtney S.

Yelp
Would give a zero if I could. Prices always going up. Quality of pizza going down. Owner is a dick. Staff is always problematic and rude. Overpriced pizza for the shit ass quality. By the slice is even worse than the whole pizza. And God forbid they actually discount a hard ass old slice of pizza if they're guna sell it. Tables are always dirty bathroom is gross. Drinks are over priced. Gelato isn't real Gelato its from the owners other store and it's not even good. Wish they'd sell the place and let someone else revamp it.

Kent N.

Yelp
This place has wonderful pizza and a great selection of local beers! The owner and his staff are extremely friendly and inviting, too. The only thing missing is a University of Georgia flag on the wall!

Anneka K.

Yelp
I ordered pizzas to be delivered for a whole high school football team and cheerleader squad, plus coaches. They delivered the pizzas on time and hot!! The manager even worked with me and gave us a discount!

Angela P.

Yelp
Wow the pizza from College Town is so good! I didn't even get a photo of the pizza before we devoured half of it. If you are hungry for pizza definitely come here!

Maddison B.

Yelp
i read a review before coming in saying that they cried because the pizza was so bad, and now i understand. it was so bad we couldn't eat it. it was soggy and everything about it was just horrible. but the staff was very friendly

Max W.

Yelp
Pizza literally so bad it made my girlfriend cry. She's still crying. They offered to put it in the oven. What do you get when you put a brick back in the oven? . . . . . You get a hot brick.

Joelle K.

Yelp
Pizza is alright. Good place if your looking for a slice for lunch. But their SANDWICHES?!?!!!!! UNREAL And get the chips with your sandwich. You won't regret it.

Tori C.

Yelp
This was the best pizza I have eaten in years. I recall the place went down hill in my opinion after it changed hands But NOW oh wow! Pizza was excellent- great sauce , crusty crust yet still soft enough to fold in half. Please check this place out. Great pizza, good beer. Yay!!! College Town Pizza is back!!!!

Scarlett H.

Yelp
Visiting from California and were referred here for pizza. Tried to reindeer sausage and it was delicious.

Tom J.

Yelp
Best pizza in Alaska, possibly the best on the West Coast. Price might seem a tiny bit high but it's worth it. Great dough, great crust, hand made with fresh ingredients. Great staff and great service.

Thomas D.

Yelp
Pizza is consistently good but the service is slow and spotty. Lots of waiting to order on phone and in person. More waiting to pay. They need to hire another person to help out front or streamline things a bit.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Good pizza. Good selection of Beer choices on tap. The pizza was hand tossed. A small was enough to split between two people.

Eleanor W.

Yelp
Nor kid friendly at all. The place wasn't busy as I was ordering from the older guy. He looked irritated and put his head in his hand because my kids didn't answer right away. Never going there again

Mark N.

Yelp
I would describe the pizza as mediocre, but edible. Bland sauce, sparsely placed toppings, crust was uneven. On the plus side, the side of tomatoes was great. Nice, red and flavorful. Overall, blah.

Autume A.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place more stars but it was quite plain. The pizza crust was ordinary and nothing special. If fact the crust at Papa John's has more to it. The marinara was decent. The cheese and toppings were fine. Overall the pizza was quite greasy and unappealing. The raindeer sausage was fantastic, best part of the pizza. The staff was also quite friendly and great.

Alice T.

Yelp
I wanted to come here because I was desperate to try reindeer sausage before I left. Expensive food is kind of unavoidable in Fairbanks. The small pizza (maybe 12''?) ran us about $16. We got the Finlander with reindeer sausage, bell peppers, and mushrooms. It was pretty good, but nothing really exciting. The pizza was super saucy, and there wasn't a lot of cheese, which is my kind of pizza. And by the way, reindeer sausage tastes kind of like regular sausage. They also sell gelato here.

Brandon D.

Yelp
Great food. The staff was so helpful and the service was perfect. Wings are on point and we got to try the fried jalapeños. The Ginger sauce was delicious. We will be coming back for sure.

Travis F.

Yelp
Ordered a flat bread meat lovers pizza. Walked in and ordered from this hilarious woman, she had an accent, I wish I could remember her name. She chatted with us while we waiting when she wasn't helping other customers. Pizza was quite tasty.

Nathan D.

Yelp
Original owners built something to be respected. New Owner has ruined what they built. Terrible customer service and quality of food. Wish I could rate it zero.

David E.

Yelp
First time here . Pretty good pizza and a little expensive. But all to get her it was some of the best crust I've had.

Travis D.

Yelp
Get ready for an extremely long wait. A 20 minute order for pick up turned into an hour and some change. Staff should offer some consolation; breadsticks, a slice, drink or something to those over waiting. I mean we're over hungry that why we ordered pizza.

Robert E.

Yelp
Quick and friendly service, a variety of pizza by the slice. Very good pizza I can't wait to try their pasta and deserts. A good variety of microbrews can be had. I highly recommend this as a place to go near the UAF campus.

Kogannaluq N.

Yelp
Unfortunately they do not deliver as they claim. They can't afford to fix their oven, so I doubt they spend their money on anything else of quality.

Samantha R.

Yelp
Great pizza! Finally a break from typical, chain-type pizza that is most common for Fairbanks. Got the diablo breadsticks and one of the chicken flat breads- it was awesome. Had some local beers on tap too, which is always a plus.

Sam ..

Yelp
It's absolutely amazing. Personally, I don't like pizza that much, but I could eat at this place forever and not get sick of their food. It's just so good.

Jenn S.

Yelp
Came here twice during my stay in Fairbanks to grab and go a few slices of deliciousness. The pizza was fresh and yummy. Personally would like it to be a little crunchier (less doughy) but can't really complain. Prices are fair, service is friendly and quick, and the restaurant has lots of seating if you want to enjoy the pizza there. I enjoyed it so much the first time I came back (and I love pizza) so that is saying something. :)

Saadia D.

Yelp
I love the jalapeño papa pizza, but every time I come here the wait is ridiculously long and there is subpar service.

Dulcinea S.

Yelp
I have eaten their pizza twice, the first time was awful, totally burnt, and flavorless. Second time was much better, we ordered garlic sticks and the hot dog pizza. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is their miscommunication on their hours and what they do. I called on a Friday or Saturday which stated they were open till 10 and when I called to order they told me they close at 9 and not 10. The guy working their just rushed and got off the phone with me before I could say anything else-they were clearly ready to go home. On Tuesday when we ordered (since they say they don't deliver) we picked up our pizza and when I looked at their menu that they have in their restaurant-it says they deliver. Total miscommunication and false advertisement. I am completely capable of getting my pizza and driving it back home but when you say "we don't deliver" and I see jt on yelp that you do, and even in your restaurant while picking up my pizza- on your menus that you deliver, it's kind of misleading. Pizza is good, but double check when their hours are since they aren't current. My whole review is based off the advertising of this place.

Jessica L.

Yelp
We wanted to try a different pizza place and heard a lot of good things about College Town Pizzeria. I'm pretty disappointed in it though! We went to just pick up to take home and had really bad customer service. Not very friendly at all. Once we got our pizzas, they forgot our breadsticks. When we finally got home, the food was just okay. Maybe we got them on a bad night, but for the price, I was expecting a lot more. The crust was gummy like, so not cooked properly. We will try again though, maybe just a fluke!

Scott O.

Yelp
Great pizza by the slice. Also any place with two UNC banners deserves 5 stars on principle. Go Heels and Nanooks!

Sarah R.

Yelp
As far as our family is concerned College Town Pizza has the best pizza in town. We're from Philly so that's saying something. They consistently make good pizzas and are fast even when it's busy. Great crust and delicious toppings. We usually get pepperoni but we've also had their tomato basil pizza and it's so yummy! We've recently discovered their pizza rolls and they are really good too. Our only gripe with College Town is their hours - they have strange hours. They close at 9 pm (even over the weekends) and won't take orders past 8:30. So any late night (if you call 8:30 late) pizza needs is out of the question. But we go here about twice a month so obviously the hours aren't getting in our way.

K M.

Yelp
I would give it 0 stars if I could :/ I placed an order for 3 pizzas at 6:37pm online. It said pickup in 20-25 minutes.... my husband went to pick up and he received the pizzas at 8:01pm. Ummm that's not 20-25 minutes. He asked about them at 7:30 and they said 10-15 minutes longer..... still double that amount of time til he got the pizzas. He got home, I opened mine and low and behold- the pizza is completely wrong and not what I paid for. I called and spoke to the mAnager Dalton and he said next time we come in we can have free ice cream or a large pizza..... I said that I would like it fixed tonight because this is dinner and we have already wasted so much time. He then screamed at me (my husband and our best friend as my witness) and said he doesn't know what I want him to do about it and that "I'm trying to help you but you're being- UGH" so I said is there another manager there ever and he continued yelling and said nope he's the only one so too bad. Uhhhhh what? My husband said it sounded like I was fighting with a boyfriend on the phone. That's how bad it was. Don't go there. The wait time is always awful but we usually like the food and people so we deal with it. But the customer service this evening was unbearable. NEVER going back. UPDATE: everyone has bad days right? Lol. The manager ended up contacting the owner cause he felt bad for how he handled things (they were busier than expected) and while that's no excuse they still made things right by us. So I'm changing my review to a 4 Star. Still sucks to have had to go through that, BUT acknowledging a wrong doing of yourself is always a win in my book. No business no person is perfect. We have all had those days right? Lol. Hopefully tomorrow is better for everyone.

F U.

Yelp
Over priced hipster pizza. The inside of this place looks like a dump. I b spend $10 on 2 slices and left hungry. I had to order some pizza delivery afterwards. Such a let down. I told the manager and he got very upset. They blocked me from their Facebook page.

Janel M.

Yelp
Which pizza to get in Fairbanks? We chose this one. It was mostly ok. Tasted like a college take out place but with a premium pizza price. (Maybe all of Alaska is just pricey). So the pizza was good, the pizza rolls good, but nothing great. The people working that night were very friendly however. I read the reviews about long delivery waits and just went and picked it up.

R. J.

Yelp
Very tasty pizza! We enjoyed our quick visit - but they do charge for even the tiniest sauces of ranch, etc. which seems a bit silly when you've already bought a $20-something large pizza. All in all, a great place to grab a bite! (Highly recommend the buffalo chicken pizza - yum!)

Walter C.

Yelp
Pricey, inconsistent. Don't Order a slice, it has been sitting for a long, long time.

Van M.

Yelp
Short and sweet. I called in an order for pick up 40 minutes before I walked through the door. Low and behold, the pizza went into the oven while I was standing at the counter. SO HERE I SIT! IT'S NOW BEEN 50 MINUTES AND NO F......G PIZZA! When I brought it up to the attention of the cashier there was no apology, no amends, just a lousy off handed, "we got busy"! Too busy to put in the order when I first called? Sorry guys, customer service should be your # 1 priority. THIS PLACE REALLY BLOWS!

L. M.

Yelp
Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious pizza: quality ingredients, crust cooked to perfection, and the sauce had the right amount of spices. Local draft beer. Kid friendly; they had books and board games to entertain yourself while waiting.

Lindsey T.

Yelp
Do not get the pizza slice and salad combo! So disappointing. It's $8.75 for a tiny piece of overheated pizza and a salad that might include 4-5 bites. It tasted like it had been sitting and was not fresh or filling. Ripoff and not worth your time or money. The full pizzas looked much better, but my experience here was so horrible I'll never go back. I'm still here finishing my beer, at least the Alaska beer on tap is satisfying. Extra star for the beer!

Reece M.

Yelp
Ok. I've been here a number of times now, so I feel I can adequately review. 1: This is probably your best option for pizza in Fairbanks. It's consistently good, and reasonably priced. The staff is mostly friendly, but occasionally make you feel like you're really inconveniencing them by being in their establishment. Decent beers on tap. 2: Now for the downsides: Not open sundays. Closes at 9pm, even on friday/saturday nights. They occasionally have slices, but I've never once been in there and seen either a plain cheese slice, or a plain pepperoni slice, the ultimate standards in slices. Overall, it's a decent spot, with tasty, consistent pizza. The reviews below that say it's a contender for best pizza ever? Not even close, but it's hard to find something better in Fairbanks.
