Adequate parking, Security personnel were friendly and fast getting you through the metal detectors. Cafe was good for breakfast and lunch with plenty of choices.

Yelp
Judge miskel is as professional as can be. My wife and I went pro se in my supposed domestic violence case against me..in the end, mrs. Miskel let us do it the non textbook way and we worked things out without ruining families. We may not have much finances but we will always help each other. Remember to be safe and treat others fairly. If she stays true to her heart and judges the situation fairly and individually she will get far in her career. The case was dismissed against me, epo dismissed!.. God bless you honorable miskel and the 470th. My wife and I really have respect for you. Im not from this county..had to shell out money to get here..worth it men, never lose hope! Only care about the ppos..epo -dismissed in my case Travis M.

Yelp
this is a filthy disgusting place. They do not care about your feelings Noor the people that they are supposed to be taken care of they do not do their job correctly. They are very inefficient it would almost make you think that these people have no idea what the hell they're doing. and it will take them around either an entire day or more to finish processing and doing paperwork, there was no one in the lobby. The staff is very unprofessional and not only that the people that were supposed to be doing the processing were sitting here flipping each other off and throwing things at each other basically playing instead of doing their job while people are waiting , these people have no respect into anything. They are extremely rude. When you call them. The staff is very poorly behaved. I have never met people that are so ignorant and inconsiderate. this is involving the entire Collin County jail, including the bonds especially you need to do better with staffing because this is ridiculous. I've never met such horrible staff in my life.

Yelp
Its a 3 story building. It is clean, and there is a lot of technology being used in the court building. There are monitors through out to guide you. The new family court has plenty of seating and technology in the court room. There are clean bathrooms at the end of each wing. There is a visible difference in atmosphere compared to Dallas County Courts. Lots of parking outside and security is efficient and it doesn't take too long to get through.

Yelp
What good is there to say about a Courthouse? This one is nice inside that's good. The guards are rude and think they are the shit. They have bad attitudes. The judge that I have been seeing for my child support case gives the other parent so many chances. I also watch others inside and she gives a lot of the other chances. You will not go to jail for non payment of child support you've came to the right courthouse. Besides all of that, like I said the only good thing about this is the inside is well cleaned.

Yelp
Came here one morning for jury duty for the first time. There's a ton of parking available. I was able to get the first row. It's actually pretty nice inside and very clean. It was very organized on how they do the jury duty thing. When it's time, they have everyone go into a big room with some projection screen tvs. They had HGTV playing, until they were ready to show you a video about what it's like to be on a jury. Some people dressed businesslike and some dressed casually in a tshirt and jeans and flip flops. They even have a Pokestop there x2 ! They even have a café downstairs and some vending machines if you'd like to snack. They have free WIFI there as well so bring some electronics if you want to get stuff done while you're waiting. I brought snacks as well. You do have to walk through a metal detector, but it's not like the airport strict. They did throw away my unopened water bottle. We were there from 8:30 - 11:30, since we were dismissed. It was a good first time experience.

Yelp
They just want to fill jail beds. It's just a business at the expense of people's lives. My loved one caught charges solely from word of mouth, no evidence! The police never even showed up to take a statement from him. They just want plea deals and charges. Completely corrupt.

Yelp
Jury Duty....Boooooooo. I was stuck here 5 days for Jury Duty, but it's my civic duty so I made the best of it. This building is almost spotless. Ladies room was always clean and stocked. I dined in the cafeteria a couple of days and the food was surprising tasty. They offer everything from custom salad to protein shakes. The staff here were all helpful and super nice. If I was chosen again, I would probably look forward to going.

Yelp
Robots with an attitude. They are not there to help you, even if your questions are legitimate. The clerks are stupid and unhelpful. The judges seem to get off on screwing people over. That is because they don't practice law. And, should you ever have the experience of a DWI, which apparently you can get even if you werent driving the vehicle (um, yeah it's that corrupt in Collin County), lord help you. You can almost see the flecks of saliva on the corners of their mouths as you are moved through the system. Hyenas and vultures.

Yelp
Typical courthouse but if your carrying a lot of boxes for trial, I suggest you bring a dolly or you will be forced to make multiple trips to your car. The parking lot is always packed and the walk up the stairs can be pretty hectic if your rocking 6 inch heels and carrying several boxes. Ladies be prepared!

Yelp
I wasn't on trial. The building is pretty and new. The judge, law enforcement, attorneys, and staffers were all friendly. It's spacious and clean. Plenty of parking. Works for me. :)

Yelp
Had to venture up here for jury duty and a very painless experience. Security checkpoint was quick and efficient, officers running it were very nice. There is an abundance of parking here, another definite plus. Made my way down to jury room and waited outside. Right before 8:30, a court employee came out and asked if we had the map portion of our jury summons. It turned out the 10-15 of us waiting were all excused. We were supposed to check the website after 5 PM the night before and it would have informed us of that. I checked it earlier in the day and it still said I had to go. So, lesson for the future, always check the website again before you leave. You just might get excused as well.

Yelp
I think this place is very clean and very quiet especially compared to the Dallas County Courthouse. Not where I want to spend my Monday morning doing Jury Duty for 6 to 8 for a whole day. Cost more than that to get here

Yelp
Second visit to courthouse when summoned for jury duty. Twice in 23 yrs living in county. Not selected for a jury...again, darn! Be sure to bring the jury summons postcard sent to you. A lot less hassle checking in, etc. Bring something to read or otherwise entertain yourself as you spend most of your time waiting. Several people brought computer tablets and a lot had mobile phones. You can't wear shorts or wear a uniform. No food or drink allowed in jury room. Short video to watch about jury duty as a civic responsibility otherwise the morning talk shows are shown on the big screen. If you are not selected for district or county jury you shouldn't be called for at least another two years. (Update Jan 2017 Too old now to have to serve at age 70). Plenty of parking out front (southside of bldg). If you are there during summer months park on the western side (away from Hwy 75) under the trees and you will keep your car in shade for few hours. Signs posted state no smoking except in your car. And a reminder for those with an LTC, leave it in the car.

Yelp
As a small business owner I found the bad check office a night mare. They gave the company that wrote the bad check every chance to rip me off. As a small business owner in Collins county you get hit by the bad check writer and then you get victimized again by the county.

Yelp
This is one of the best courthouses in the Metroplex. As an attorney it is a pleasure to practice here. The clerks are friendly, the judges are knowledgeable, and the facilities are top of the line.

Yelp
Can't say I was happy to be here due to a ticket, but I can admit when I'm wrong. Even though I wasn't excited to spend my money on a ticket, the lady and security guard at the time were really nice. After waiting in line, I completely forgot a form and she allowed me to run to my car and grab the form. The security guard even held the door open for me both ways as I sprinted across the parking lot. I wish I had taken down her name, but considering they must deal with a lot of unhappy people, everyone here presented themselves very well.

Yelp
Probably the nicest courthouse I've ever seen or been to. Very clean. Easy to get through security. The place isn't even almost sketchy like Dallas County Courthouse. Even the court rooms are nice. I hope I wouldn't have to come here again, but if you're here for whatever reason, at least it's a nice establishment.

Yelp
Had to get passports for my two young ones and they were one of the few places that didn't require an appointment. Was expecting to spend at over an hour for a family of four including taking pictures keeping in mind that we had a one year old infant but the place was so organized took us only 30 mins to finish everything and get out. The staff was also very helpful and prepared, they even had toys for distracting the little one, the little one took a good picture in one sitting cos of being distracted. I would definitely go back there to renew my passports especially for the younger ones.

Yelp
Here for jury duty. Lots of parking. Good organization. Clean (incouding the restroom). My trial got benched, so I was released from duty.

Yelp
Be prepared to wait for extended periods of time if you are here for jury duty. They make you wait for hours if they have a lot of cases. Most settle without trial. But still expect to stay after 3-4pm.

Yelp
Some years ago, Collin County leveled some frivolous charges at my dad. My dad was charged for a door slightly damaged during a lease - and that damage had been repaid! He was criminally charged for the items put out by the Constable during his eviction. Yeah, I know, this stuff is crazy. But this is Collin County. I pleaded with Jane Roden of the District Attorney's Office to be reasonable. But those in the office of District Attorney Greg Willis seem more interested in pursuing frivolous charges than real crime. Unfortunately, even though these charges were on their face totally bogus, the "justice" system here has kept them going. My dad stood on many occasions before Judge Corinne Mason, who treated my dad with blatant disrespect. Judge Barnett Walker followed suit. He berated my dad, screamed at him, and even seized him when he was walking around a free man, forcing him to sit for hours while the Judge left for lunch. My dad is a pretty soft-spoken guy, especially in front of these judges. He constantly reminds me of our duty to respect those in positions of authority. He refuses to act in anger, preferring only to fight for what is right. I cannot believe his calm in the face of this corruption. This is not just about the judgeship, though. Like I say, the DA's Office was responsible for getting this started. I have been to my dad's hearings. I have seen the perjury on the stands by witnesses for the prosecution. I have met with Chief Prosecutor Bill Dobiyanski. I have sent certified mail to Greg Willis. I have emailed everyone. I have made it known that these guys have lied to indict my dad. But the "justice" system in Collin County does not care. And the landlord where my dad was, she was the one to file a lot of these frivolous charges. After the Constable pulled everything out of the house, the landlord grabbed a water hose and sprayed all of the furniture with water. I have done just as much to try to have charges filed against her, but no one in the DA's Office will even hear me. In fact, I was thrown out of the office when I last visited to try to find justice for my dad. The story doesn't end here. There are so many more details that paint the same picture. Ultimately, though, I would avoid this place if I were you. You are more likely to find justice elsewhere. It seems that Collin County has forgotten the definition of the word. I think it somehow got switched with the definitions of "power" and "prestige."

Yelp
Court Room 5 clerk today had no idea what she was doing. We sat there for 5 hrs and she finally tells is that they will have to reschedule.....?????? Are you kidding me??? This is the second time and I am fed up with them not knowing what the hell is going on and always having an excuse to postpone something. Get a clue or hire someone that does!!!!!!!
