The 7 Best Sri Lankan Restaurants In London

"This family-run neighbourhood restaurant on Worcester Park’s Central Road is home to some of the city's finest mutton rolls, a ceylon chicken curry that will give any spice enthusiast a run for their money, and plenty of vegetarian options including a cashew curry we’re convinced is 80% cream. But our favourite dishes at Colombo Kitchen have one thing in common: prawns. From the beer-battered hot butter prawns, to the king prawn curry, Colombo is a place that knows its way around seafood. Spacious and comfortable, this is a great spot for groups, low-key birthday celebrations, or the kind of weeknight dinner you’ll think about until the weekend." - rianne shlebak, jake missing, heidi lauth beasley

The 15 Best Curries In London

"Negombo King Prawn Curry This family-run, comfortable, Sri Lankan restaurant on Worcester Park’s Central Road is home to some of the city's finest mutton rolls, a ceylon chicken curry that packs some serious spice, and some roti tacos we’re very into. But this is a place that knows its way around seafood, so the standout dish at Colombo Kitchen is the Negombo king prawn curry. It's a creamy, coconut-heavy dish inspired by the chef’s home town. Eat it with rice or a flaky paratha—just get it." - rianne shlebak, jake missing

Feeling ripped off. I love this restaurant, so we ordered take away. Dishes were restaurant prices. Quantity was so stingy. £14 for chicken curry with 6 cubes of chicken. The prawns and fish were £17 each. Shocking!!

Ordered egg hopper, chicken kothu and lump rice. Chicken kothu was ok but for me it needed a bit of more salt. The egg hopper was amazing. The best lump rice we ever had in the UK which has original Sri Lankan taste. We had some juice and its was also good. I only give 4 stars because of the chicken kothu. The atmosphere was amazing lots of British guys enjoyed their food.

Was treated to Columbo kitchen by the family so we had a table booked for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was reasonably busy considering and we were seated pretty much immediately. Service: I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, they were checking on us regularly and making sure all was good. The service was slightly slower than I would have liked but as the staff were friendly it was easy to overlook. Food: the food was clearly fresh and tasty, I liked that they asked how spicy we wanted the food, Sri Lankan food is pretty spicy and I find other places don’t ask. Atmosphere: very relaxed environment decor was nice and it’s was generally a clean restaurant. Price: our bill came to about £200 for 5 people, I do feel it was a little overpriced but as I enjoyed the food and the team were great it is a bit more digestible. Accessibility: we were lucky enough to find parking directly outside, that being said there is plenty of parking in the high street and side roads so it easy to get to. This place is deserving of 5 stars but the slight delay in getting the food out and the price means I’ll give it a 4

Extremely disappointed. Ordered take away and the food was almost inedible. Extremely Salty, mutton rolls super Salty, the rotti was hard as a rock and the kothu was not worth for the price. Super expensive almost 70 pounds for a take away and not worth the price - low quality food

I visited Colombo Kitchen in London with my grandmother and we had an amazing experience! We ordered two Lamprais and they were absolutely delicious — full of flavour, authentic, and the portions were more than enough. A special thank you to Keshara, who made our visit even more memorable. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful from the moment we arrived. He patiently guided us through the menu and helped us choose the perfect meal. The way he treated us felt like we were part of his own family — such genuine hospitality is rare to find! Highly recommend this place for anyone craving real Sri Lankan food and warm, welcoming service. Will definitely be coming back!
