I will give a total of 3 stars for our experience at Colonel/Taisha.
I want to give an honest opinion as a “push” for the restaurant to improve as I do hope they stay and survive for many years.
We went for Saturday lunch. The service, waiters - were good, fast, attentive, polite.
The interior is very nice, music a bit louder but fits the concept, clean, and overall very cool.
So why the 3 🌟 ?
Because of the food. On the menu it looks wow, so many great flavours, ingredients, technics- pricey but seemed worth it.
Until it came, looking very nice but - absolutely flavourless, just tasting the same soy sauce flavour/tase in all the dishes.
Edamame were suppose to come with honey but there was no honey, just soy sauce and flakey salt - and it cost 12 euros - absurd.
The sweet potato came overcooked and just charcholed/grilled and sprinkled with honey, but very tasteless, prawn came just soaking in soy sauce - no other flavour, and same for chicken yakitori, soy sauce and very sub-par.
The prices and high, very high, and the portions are small, so the reason that I wrote this review is because I agree that the location is great, interior in perfect, service is good - but if you want to charge this much - you need to have great food, full of flavour and tasting delicious.
This is just great on paper and photo.
I do feel tricked and will not come back but hope you will improve for people that will come.
