Where to Eat and Drink in Houston in Houston This Halloween, 2023 | Eater Houston

"I found this Upper Kirby immersive art venue invites residents to dress up, celebrate in color, and collect candy from six trick-or-treat stations while experiencing the festive (but not scary) Haunted Hues, which features Black Coconut and pumpkin spice vegan ice cream, multi-colored fortune cookies, and other sweets." - Brittany Britto Garley

Honestly did not know what to expect when we came here, but the advertisements from social media was enough to intrigue us. We stopped by today and were pleasantly surprised with how well each exhibit was thought out and how creative this museum was. Its a place where your inner child can shine, and all age ranges would enjoy. Parking is a bit tough, so get here a little early in order to make your time slot because they will announce your time slot whenever it is time for you to begin. Without spoiling too much, because the real magic is when you experience it, you do begin with registering a specific QR code for yourself, in order to activate photo ops for most exhibits. Best of all, pictures that you take throughout the museum are free and are emailed directly to the email you provide, or can be purchased for physical prints at the end of the journey. It is a one way trip, so you are not able to go backwards, but you are able to take as much time as you like in each exhibit. They really bring out the symbolism of colors and utilize each color specifically for different exhibits. There are also some that partner up with science, of course art, and food! They do offer some treats along the way that are relevant to the exhibit they are partnered with. And at the end of the tour, they have a gift shop that has color themed products as well, very unique to this business. Overall, this experience took us an hour and a half, we were slower, but not the slowest, than the rest of the group we started with, but it was a fun and memorable hour and a half. Definitely recommend for everyone to check out. It was awesome.

Google
The rooms are fun. Even though we went at a slow time, we were there with a family that just didn't respect us and would allow their children to just grab at everything and just do as they pleased. That kinda made it less enjoyable. For the price I was not too happy that we where rushed or could not enjoy each h room like we would of liked

Google
Rating: 4.5 We visited Color Factory on Mother’s Day, and it was a blast. The whole experience was bright, interactive, and full of surprises. We brought our 15-month-old, and she went absolutely wild with joy. That said, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for most young kids there’s a lot of stimulation, and we just got lucky with how well our little one handled it. The rooms were each like stepping into a different art installation. One had a glowing neon wall that read “YOU ARE MAGIC,” lit with bold rainbow lights that made the whole space feel electric. Another room was a black-and-white striped playground with massive floating pastel balls, it felt like being inside a life-sized pinball machine. Along the way, they handed out sweet treats like lavender ice cream and one flavor called “Black Hole”; both served in vacuum-sealed cones, which was a fun and creative touch. The ice cream was more about presentation than flavor, but still enjoyable. There were tons of fun, Insta-worthy spots throughout, so bring your camera or phone. Just a heads-up: the gift shop is a bit pricey, so plan accordingly if you’re hoping to grab a souvenir. Overall, Color Factory is a great experience for families, couples, or friend groups looking to do something different. Just be ready to engage, explore, and take lots of pictures.

Google
Color Factory was such a great time. You have plenty of time and space to go through all of the rooms. The staff was amazing and so sweet. 10/10 experience with so many cute photo stops along the way.

Google
After seeing repeated ads on FB and reviews seemed promising, we decided to check it out ourselves. You are able to book tickets online. It’s slightly cheaper when you select a specific time; children 3 and under are free. As soon as you enter, they have you set up a free barcode attached to your email so you can have the photos from the photo stations sent directly to your email after. We took our 2.5 year old daughter there and she loved it so much she didn’t want to leave! The confetti room was our favourite. There were fortune cookies, taffy, and ice cream treats that were part of this experience! You are also given a cute souvenir before you leave (ie. pin, pen, or a post card). Such a fun, colourful place to spend the afternoon. Note: The ball pit was a lot of fun but also sadly kinda smelly bc you don’t need to wear socks to go in. I would recommend wearing socks because it’s just much more sanitary. Note: No strollers allowed inside bc of limited space.

Wow, What an experience!!! We decided to catch up with a friend and do something fun around Houston. If you get the chance I would say GO!!! Everyone there was so helpful, especially Idris. Staff is amazing and the rooms are so much fun. Kids and adults would love this place... it's so fully immersive that you lose track of time! Thank you color factory for such a great day!

Google
I visited the museum on a Monday and found it to be quite peaceful, making for a comfortable experience. I appreciated that they took pictures for free and sent them directly to my email. Additionally, there were some delightful surprises throughout the museum. It truly offers a great time for visitors of all ages!

Google
My family really enjoyed the interactive, multi-themed rooms at the Color Factory. It is a fun place for kids and adults with Instagram-worthy photo ops. Each adult is provided a unique QR code that will store photos taken in each room. The photos are free to download and good quality. The sweet treats at different areas will also keep kids happy. I would also like to give a shout out to the staff. They are all extremely friendly and helpful. My kid lost his phone in the ball pit and the staff were able to locate it during their evening “sweep”. Everyone was very understanding and I appreciate how quickly they were able to return the phone to us. Highly recommend this location and pro-tip: leave phones and rings in cubbies or to someone in your group who is not going inside the ball pit.

Yelp
We went here for our FAMILY ADVENTURE day and my toddler had a blast. You honestly will spend more than an hour in this place, which helped wear my toddler down. Before you enter, you are greeted with free jelly beans, which my toddler attempted to take more than 1 bag. You are ushered into a room where the guide gives you directions and how to take pictures throughout the factory. You are then offered a fortune cookie, which my toddler attempted to take multiples. We spent the most amount of time in at the flying balls sections and put ball area because.....kids! When we are done, we were offered free ice cream. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they do not allow strollers. It was a struggle carrying around a 20+ pound infant in your arms or car seat. I definitely wouldn't recommend coming with a baby/infant.

Yelp
I went in skeptical because of the price of the ticket but left feeling like it was worth the experience, photos, and memories! We got really lucky with the crowd on a Thursday afternoon and could take our time in each room and with taking pics as we were usually the only ones there. I enjoyed the sweet treats along the way, but was most impressed with the photo booths provided at each display. You receive a personal QR code at the entrance and scan it at each booth. You receive your digital photos for free download at the end! I would still take pictures with your own phone/camera just in case, but the photo booths make taking pics easy and fun, and they have the angles and lighting down in flattering ways too so that's one thing less to worry about. In regards to hygiene, the reusable interactive things (headphones, rose-tinted glasses) are collected and sanitized. Also, loads of hand sanitizer stations around! Parking: we originally parked at the mall close by but upon entry, the staff recommended parking in front of the building for free to avoid getting towed. I would recommend wearing colorful outfits, going with friends or family for fun photo ops, and aiming for non-peak hours. I only had such a great time because we got lucky with the crowd!

Yelp
This was really fun for kids and adults alike. We were in the first group of the day and intentionally fell behind the rest which sometimes led to our family being the only group in a room, which was nice. We didn't feel rushed and likely spent longer than most at about 1:45 minutes, which is a good thing given the pricey tickets. The place felt clean, and most of the staff was really friendly and helpful.

Yelp
This place was so much fun! Do not let the price steer you away! My Husband and I took our son here to kick off the start of summer and it did not disappoint. We purchased our tickets online, which I highly recommend! I was thrilled to find out that I didn't need my phone to take pictures! Upon arrival, they give you a QR code card. From there, you scan your card and it will take your photo on auto-timer. What I loved was that you could take as many photos as you wanted and they all get sent to your email! The photos taken look like actual professional photography photos, ones I couldn't capture on my phone camera myself. There are also a few snack booths along the way such as Macarons, Jelly Beans, and Ice Cream...All included of course, with a gift shop at the end for additional purchases! I love how interactive the rooms were. My son is on the Autism Spectrum and was able to participate in them all! Overall, we had a great time with photos and memories to last a lifetime!

Yelp
Cool place but admission is so expensive! If we ever go again, it will be in a group of people that we know. I felt pressured to move along quickly due to the number of people they had us enter with.
google avatar

Sandra K.

Yelp
So much fun and full of snacks. Lots of activities and things to do. Obviously kids love it the most but it was fun for us as adults too and my toddler had a blast. Also it's indoors so bonus for the AC.
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
I had to so much fun here! And I was an adult by myself. I went to one of the earlier slots since they were less expensive and it was me and bunch of people with young kids. I like that I could keep my own pace and the one section where you needed a partner (so you could draw each other) a staff member volunteered to be my buddy. Not as much fun as a friend but still cool. I loved the creativity of the various rooms and wandering though as I was entertained. Despite the warning, I almost lost my phone in the ball pit. All the staff were great and the gift shop was fun. Plus there are some snacks (mostly candy) along the way.
google avatar

Juan F.

Yelp
I thought this place was going to suck. But honestly it was probably the best thing we did in Houston. It was fun for everything - kids and adults. I love that they don't rush you in any rooms and you can take your time taking photos. All the employees were incredibly friendly and every room was slick and clean. The favorites were the balloon room, music room, ball pit (specially the ice cream at the end) but honestly everything was great. Wish they had this in LA. OH, best of all is that they sell alcohol!!
google avatar

Mayrelis D.

Yelp
This is a really fun activity to do, although a little pricey. We go at least once a year because they do change a few of the vignettes a bit and we enjoy bringing the kids here to be silly. The staff is friendly, they have little samples of sweets sprinkled throughout the sensory adventure. Would recommend for family activity, birthday party, date for teens or young adults. Lots of "gram" worthy shots available,
google avatar

Ana L.

Yelp
Fun! Only downside is, parking is limited. They tow cars if you park at sushi king parking lot! Otherwise, great photos and interactive! I liked the macaroons in the beginning, but the yummy ice cream at the end was a great ending for us!
google avatar

Staci J.

Yelp
So much fun! I went with my family and we absolutely loved it. Colorful rooms, activities and you get a card with a QR code to scan and pictures are taken and emailed. The kids really enjoyed it. So many laughs and smiles. We didn't expect to have that much fun. Check them out if you have the chance.
google avatar

Yelp
Color Factory is a multi-sensory cool experience. Each section invokes one or many of your senses. There are a few sweet treats provided, and even a room where you sniff various scents. Granted, many of the rooms/exhibits are designed and well-suited for selfies and photo ops, but it's still a cool visual attraction. Speaking of which, there are photo stations in nearly every segment where you scan your unique QR code and take pictures photo booth style, and they email your pics after you're done. If you're looking to capture a lot of interesting selfies, you'd really enjoy this museum, but if you're looking for a more visually captivating experience with optical illusions and such, you'd find this place underwhelming. I had a good time overall but this isn't something I'd look to do again.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Expensive for sure ~ make sure you know that ahead of time. I was grateful to have gone on a day where it was dead so every room was empty (I went with my amazing mother). If you're all about "the gram" photos then this place is for you! They actually have free high quality photos that you can take as many as you can/like in each room. They get sent to your provided email during registration. I had fun!! But like many people have mentioned prior, it's pretty much a one and done experience. Especially for the steep price. And as far as I know, they don't ever change the rooms so it would be the same each time. Highly worth checking out at least once!! PS - they have several things that require 2 people (no more than 2) so make sure to come in even numbered groups...if you can help it!
google avatar

Yelp
I went to the Color Factory in NYC and was happy to see a Color Factory in Houston when looking at things to do locally. There are some similarities in the 2 locations, but this was 75% new stuff to enjoy. I liked the rose colored glasses room, the lite brite room, the smell/senses area, all of the automatic photo ops were cool. It's the perfect Instagram-able spot. Have fun with color and explore!
google avatar

Yelp
I had sooooo much fun here!!! Felt like a kid in a candy store!! So creative, the ice cream was great, each room was so much fun!! I highly recommend everyone go here everyone of alllllll ages will love it! The staff were so nice and informative! I would love to go back.

Crystal O.

Yelp
Super interactive with treats. Artistic kids will love this place. Great experience. Kids of all ages can enjoy themselves.
google avatar

Jacqueline C.

Yelp
An excellent place for ages 2+ to experience interactive fun with color. Each room offers a joyful template for making memories with your own photos or by using the QR coded card attached to your email. My husband and I brought our sons and nephews and there was never a dull moment. The treats offered throughout is a very delightful touch! The staff is very friendly, accommodating and polite. Save a few dollars for the gift shop at the end. We will definitely visit again soon.
google avatar

Yelp
OMGGGG this had to be the highlight of our trip. We were a group of 4 we booked the ticket the same day we decided to go. We didn't have no issues, they l followed the schedule accordingly. I really appreciate the free treats that you get throughout each section that you're going through!!! we were able to get ice cream you get free jellybeans upon arrival I'd love have a front part set up and how they have a things for you to purchase. Retrieving your pictures as easy as well, everybody in our group got our pictures and we absolutely loved them, they have one in NYC thinking about going as well just to see the difference.
google avatar

Crystal C.

Yelp
Pros: Got great pictures. Saw several girls here working on their dating profile photos. Smart idea. Cons: Hated all the kids running around,. The kids rushed us from room to room. The kids had very little patience to wait for other people taking their photos. The kids popped the balloons at the start of the experience.
google avatar

Cindy P.

Yelp
YES YES YES! You need to come see this place. This is a cool interactive/immersive art exhibit where you can take lots of awesome pictures. I love how easy it was to use their QR code to take pictures and how fast they send them to you. Each exhibit is unique and excites you like nothing else. Before you start you link the QR code to your email. Then all you have to do is scan it and smile. Then do it again and again. So many fun interactive art!! You need to go experience it. $29-$33. It took us about an hour, but I would definitely stay longer next time. It's fun for all ages, the only thing I would do differently is not wear a dress. Wear a cute skort but not a dress or skirt.
google avatar

Markeda D.

Yelp
So much fun! It's an interactive art museum and it's very interesting with multiple different colored rooms. From balloons to confetti and even a ball pit, it definitely brought out our inner child! Only thing is all the pictures are marked with the business logo whether you print it out or download them. $7 per photo but you get a discount with the more prints you get and you can also get all your pictures for free digitally.
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
So much fun! I love being surprised by what's in the next room and the uniqueness that awaits. It's very interactive and even has free treats throughout your adventure- jelly beans, taffy, ice cream, etc. Really a ton of fun. Only downside of course for someone like me is that children are allowed in. I'd love it if they had certain days a month where it was adults only. You get a lot for your money here, I highly recommend a visit!

Ferenc G.

Yelp
THE COLOR FACTORY DISCRIMINATES AGAINST MOMS. Upon walking in I was promptly told "no breastfeeding allowed". I wasn't even breast-feeding my child at the time. They just saw that I had a 4 week old infant and informed me I could not breast-feed my child in their facility, not even with a covering...in this day and age, I'm appalled. This is one of dozens of rules, which include no strollers, no water, they do not provide water fountains, and they only have 2 bathrooms which are only in the front of the building. They don't cater towards children despite their marketing..it's much more of a young couple date place. As far as the exhibits go--they're OK. But they're mostly just photo studio settings to make cute photo ops. Their marketing tagline of "experience color with all 5 senses" holds up about as well as their "free" ice cream cones..that manage to be frozen solid and soggy at the same time.
google avatar

Kyndra D.

Yelp
We absolutely loved this Art museum! I went with 2 toddlers ages 2 and 4 & they had an absolute blast! We love all that your ticket comes with. There are complimentary sweet treats throughout your experience in the different rooms. Towards the end there will be ice cream and water. Water is the only way thing you'll have to pay for. Overall, we spent an hour and 1/2 and the only thing I would change is the age group that gets in free or a better discounted rate for the children. I felt it was a bit pricey for the kids. However, the staff was nice and approachable. 10 out of 10 I do recommend!
google avatar

Chelsea L.

Yelp
Color Factory was so fun! We spent around 2 hours here. It was my first time coming here and when we came inside, we showed our tickets that we got online. We were a little late for the time we signed up for, but luckily they let groups go in still. There are multiple rooms and once you enter a room, you shouldn't go back as it's a one-way to the exit. You get a QR code paper that you can use in each room to help take professional pictures. Keep it in a secure place so you'll be able to take many pictures! The QR code to places are in fixed locations, so if you want to take different pictures, you can use your phone camera. There are some snacks throughout-jellybeans, macaron, ice cream-and some interactive activities. My favorite area was the ball pit. I did lose my phone in it (but luckily we found it!). Someone also lost their phone after me and we heard that at least 5 people lose their phones in it every day. It is terrible if you lose your belongings in it because the ball pit goes deep. You should definitely keep your belongings in zipped up pockets if possible!! I thought it wouldn't happen to me but when I was submerged, my phone fell out of my pocket. I learned my lesson. The people working there are really nice and they will help you look for it after color factory closes but you will be without the phone for a long time so be warned! The pictures came out really well and we had a lot of fun. Looking for the phone was a nice little workout too haha. There is a gift shop when you come out if you wanna buy something!
google avatar

Andrew J.

Yelp
My kids absolutely love it here. It kind of reminds me of what a modern day Willy Wonka's chocolate factory would be - just much smaller of course. They have you check in after confirmation of your tickets and wait for the next group to start your tour of the factory. You initially have to sign a waiver and also setup a QR code that allows you to scan it in each section of the tour. It then adds photos to a personal gallery that will be emailed to you after your tour. Super cool! There are all sorts of tasty treats along the way that your kiddos will enjoy. This includes candy, ice cream, macaroons, etc. My kids enjoyed the pool of white orbs or balls (see attached picture) but just as a bit of caution, you have to remove your shoes and for some like me, it might be an unpleasant and tiring experience walking through it. I personally don't like it but it's not for me, it's geared towards the kids. The staff is all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They are usually in just about every room to give you instructions on the exhibit and provide tips for safety. This is our 2nd time here and it was just as fun. We'll be back. Very fun and unique experience. Tip - They have a gift shop with lots of cool things to buy as souvenirs at the end of the tour. Tip #2 - Your tour will likely be a group with other people. This can sometimes be a bit weird depending on who is in your group. For instance, there was a couple that wanted to do everything our kids wanted to do, which resulted in a lot of 'excuse me's' which got a bit annoying. Tip #3 - Parking is VERY limited directly at the venue. You will likely end up needing to park across the street at the Arrive parking garage. It isn't free but it is pretty reasonable and is very convenient.

Yelp
This was a fun interactive art museum (Winter Colorland theme in January), even with most of our party consisting of adults. It's made up of 8 rooms, which utilize the theme of colors to do or create something unique and special. You can explore at your own pace, so it can easily be done within an hour (especially without kids), though we spent about an hour and a half during our recent visit on a Monday. I liked the Thought Bubbles room, because each color came with a cute quote, ie. I like purple because it makes me feel like a stuffed animal, or green makes me feel positive about everything. The floating balls were cool too I guess. Another room I really liked was the confetti room. At first it just looked like a pointless photo op, but once my friends and I started throwing confetti at each other, it turn into a playful snowball fight.. after all it was winter-themed decor. Through Rose-Colored Glasses was a cool room because you had to put glasses on in order to clearly see the different messages on the floor and walls, and there were some funny sayings and words of inspiration throughout. My favorite room was To the Moon, which was the space themed room, honoring the 50th anniversary of the Lunar Landing. The Color Factory partnered with NASA to create the ball pit, designed with the stars above. So when you sink into the giant pool of balls, you can relax and stare at the fake night sky. It was so fun to be able to do something like this as an adult. In fact, a lot of the interactive exhibits/rooms in this museum encourage people to enjoy themselves as if they were a kid, even if they resist. And that naturally made it fun. The black hole ice cream was a fitting vegan treat for the last interactive room (To the Moon), flash frozen and made with coconut ash (the other flavor option was butterscotch). And in the end all guests got a free gift (could choose out of 4 items), more for kids, but the colorful monster stickers were kinda cute (they're actually "color feelings"). I didn't care for the professional or special photos you could get taken in each of the rooms (then they would email it to you afterward), I just wanted to take pictures with my own phone, which was so much easier. In fact they forced all adults to register their info onto a QR code card in the beginning which was really a waste of time (they should make this optional). Besides, I lost my QR code card in the ball pit, lol. Besides that, I had a great experience here.

Yelp
Oh Wao. This is a must see, must go experience. Very interactive. Also, the complimentary snacks are great
google avatar

Bre S.

Yelp
My family and I had so much fun at the color factory. Every room was unique and great photo and interactive opportunities. My only critique would be I wish there was a sweet treat in each room. Also, I think the employees need a megaphone or some sort of PA system to help guide customers through the experience instead of having to yell
google avatar

Yelp
The Color Factory is an interactive wonderland, filled with captivating installations that engage all the senses. From the moment I entered, I was greeted by a burst of color and an atmosphere of excitement. Each room was thoughtfully curated to evoke a sense of wonder and playfulness. I particularly enjoyed the interactive exhibits, such as the ball pit filled with colorful balls, where I couldn't help but dive in and feel like a child again. The staff members were friendly and encouraged exploration, making the experience all the more enjoyable. One of the highlights of the Color Factory was the abundance of photo-worthy moments. Every corner seemed like a perfect backdrop for capturing joyful memories. From the rainbow staircase to the oversized props and murals, there were endless opportunities to strike a pose and snap vibrant pictures. The Color Factory's attention to detail in creating visually stunning spaces made it a paradise for photography enthusiasts and social media lovers alike. In addition to the visual feast, the Color Factory also offered tasty treats along the way. From colorful macarons to delectable candies, the edible surprises added an extra layer of sweetness to the experience. It was a delightful touch that enhanced the overall enjoyment and made the visit even more memorable. The Color Factory is a place where people of all ages can come together and embrace their creative side. Whether you're a child exploring the world of colors or an adult seeking a playful escape, this interactive art space caters to everyone. It encourages self-expression, imagination, and connection through the universal language of color. It's a perfect outing for families, friends, or even a solo adventure. The Color Factory in Houston, Texas, is a captivating and immersive experience that transports visitors to a world bursting with color and creativity. From interactive installations to vibrant photo opportunities, every aspect of the Color Factory is designed to ignite the imagination and leave a lasting impression. If you're seeking a joyful and visually stunning adventure, make sure to visit the Color Factory and let yourself be immersed in its kaleidoscope of colors.

Yelp
This place was by far our favorite part of our vacation to Houston! It was such a unique experience and so fun. We great like we got to be kids again for a while. The staff members are SO friendly. Multiple times different staff members came over to my boyfriend and I and offered to take a photo for us. The art exhibits are also incredibly unique. I didn't know what to expect when we walked in the door, but at every turn this place did not disappoint. We also got an email with our photos from The Color Factory moments after we left. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone (local or traveler) check this place out.

Yelp
One of the best things you can do with your family. This interactive art instillation is fun for everyone. We took my 11yr old niece but we all had so much fun. It's still a hidden gem here in Houston I highly recommend it. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. We felt very comfortable. Yup: get there early as possible there are less people.

Yelp
Highly recommend adding this place to your to do list! I went there as a group aging from 3 to 40+ and we all had a wonderful time. Make sure to take your time and really enjoy each room because you can't go back! We spent a good 2 hours without even realizing it because we had such a great time! You'll get some samples along the way. When you're waiting to enter there is a big cart with bags of jelly beans sample. Along the way you'll get macaron, salt water taffy, ice cream cone and a surprise (you can choose a pen, sticker, cup and something else). I just wished there was a worker in each room or at least every other. Someone in my group needed to use the restroom but after the first few rooms we weren't able to locate a worker to ask. If you're willing to go right when they open they do offer a slight discount. You MUST purchase your ticket online and they do offer coat check.

Yelp
I've been to color factory twice now and both times did not disappoint! I came with a girls group at first and then recently with my family. My mom loves fun memories and photos to capture them. This place does a great job of doing so and also with nice little treats throughout! This is a great option for out of towners and for just good quality time with people. No need to bring your camera really unless you want specific shots - this place does high quality photos, videos, gifs, that send directly to your email to be easily downloadable

Yelp
Great experience! We went while on vacation with 4 kids ages 1-11 and all of us had a blast here. It's pricey, but it's a lot for your money. Multiple rooms, treats, souvenirs and the best part is the picture stands that take your picture. The whole experience is about an hour maybe a little more. No parking is included for the price though. All employees were nice and helpful. Highly recommend

Yelp
LOVED this place!! The staff is INCREDIBLE! One of our friends lost something in one of the rooms and they came back to find it for us! It is a great place to bring friends and have lots of fun if you like taking pictures! Some of my favorite pictures have been taken here. I think that the lightning set up was very good so every angle was so cute!

Yelp
I really enjoyed the color factory with my family - especially my one year old. The rooms were fun and interactive. My only downfall would be the cost. It can ADD up for a family very quickly...especially since it is not that long of an experience. You can take your time in each room but then you end up with a ton of people in it as you enter in groups back to back.

Yelp
August 12, 2022 Drove in from Galveston and spent a few hours here. The staff were so friendly and the concept was museum, art, sound, smell all mixed into one place. They also had sweet treats for us throughout: macarons, popcorn, black coconut ice cream and laugh-e taffy. It was fun

Yelp
Very cute photo ops with great lighting and high quality! Was about $150 for three people so a little pricey, but I highly enjoyed my time here. We took our time, taking advantage of the unlimited photos you take with a little qr code given to you at the start of your trip. Unfortunately, there was gum in the ball pit which I stepped in with my tights on, but that's not color factory's fault. Additionally, everybody was very nice with great customer service. There was a lady who greeted us with quite a bit of attitude. We asked her questions about tickets and she was very short with us. Never attending something like this before, we were unaware we had to wait 15 minutes for the next group to be let in, when we asked how the experience worked, she gave us a fake smile then rolled her eyes turning away from us. We were here for about 2 hours. There's jelly beans, ice cream, taffy, and macaroons as little treats! Definitely more of a one time experience.

Yelp
Everything about the experience here is amazing. I love how they have it set that cameras can take your picture for you and you get access after you finish everything

Yelp
Unsanitary and unprofessional! No rhyme or reason to any of the activities. Sad in every respect! Please don't waste your time. The entire operation is completely overpriced and just silly.

Yelp
Was visiting family in Houston and was looking for fun stuff to do in the area when I saw this place on Tiktok. I'm glad I decided to go here with family! We had a great experience! Each room had its own unique vibe, each with fun, interactive activities and photos to take. Definitely an Instagrammable spot! Not to mention the staff was so kind and delivered such a positive energy and attitude. The merch for this place is SOO cute, too! I wanted to buy out the whole gift shop, haha! I'd recommend this spot for dates, hanging out with friends, or spending time with family. This is a place everyone of all ages can enjoy.

Yelp
This place was so much fun!! Definitely worth seeing. In each room they have little machines that will take photos for you, in the cutest spots!! You are not rushed, it is self paced, so take as long as you need! I took just under two hours, and plenty of people were staying longer. I think the rooms change periodically, cause some rooms I saw on yelp I didn't see in real life. But it's great way to do a photo shoot with your SO. Also you get little sweet treats along the way. From macaroons, taffy, I've cream and a free souvenir. The staff also seem to genuinely enjoy working here. If you are on the fence about going you really should!

Yelp
My friend found the Color Factory on Tik Tok when she was searching for couple events for us to do while we were visiting Houston. I must admit at first if very skeptical. But, as we walked through the factory, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. There are several interactive rooms within the Color Factory. All with different theme and cute little stories between them. Within the first room, we received a QR card which we were able to use to take picture within the rooms. After the experience, we received an email with all of our pictures. Definitely a very clever idea. It seemed that each room was better than the one before. We literally used all of our senses within each. It was a dope date night event that allowed us to connect with our significant other! A very dope experience!

Yelp
Nothing but woke confused young adults working there that are more concerned about their genders and gluten allergies than kids enjoying the space. Do not recommend. Overpriced and not worth it.

Yelp
Finally made it here a long over due place to go. I took the advantage of the 1/2 price promotion for the month of January and glad I did it. Been to other similar type but a bit different (like candytopia ) and I have to say this is not as impressive . And yes I agree if you tell me but they are 2 different themes. My own personal experience then I would say it's OK but if you miss it, it's OK too. On the part of parking, I read so many reviews about it. In order to avoid the $8 parking fee from across the street you do have options of streets parking which is very limited and of course look for tow way signs. I was able to find parking on West Main Street which is a block from Color factory. If you go down that street there are other smaller streets with parking space too. Staffs are friendly and a bit over control in some rooms. The ideas of self taking pictures booths all over the rooms are very nice. You are given a QR code card to register your info and every time your photo is taken, it sends to your email which I think it's awesome.
