Stopped in town to stay the night before our long drive back home, MAN is this place awesome! We stayed in downtown golden a week prior and checked out some of the bars, but I really wish we came here instead. It’s a great vibe inside and family run too, we came in and the owner warmly greeted us, chatted with us, and made the night great overall. Looking around the place we could tell that they have some great times there that we’ve missed out on! Don’t even HESITATE coming by and checking this place out! You will love it

After the dreaded drive of I 70 I was just looking for a drink and some good company. Man, can I tell you what. I found not only the perfect place for a drink away from all the chaos of Denver, but a place to get my board tuned as well. The service was amazing, really love to see a family run business nestled in Golden. Everyone there was so pleasant and enjoyable. Drinks were a good price and service was fabulous. I also noticed a big yard where they do live music in the summer. I definitely will be back for a good summer here. Thanks guys! You made my trip amazing!

Looked like a friendly crowd at the bar. They remodeled and looks nice. The best part about it is you can get your skies tuned and a beer for $25 on Thursdays! Chris is an excellent tuner and has done my skis for 4 years.

Don't know if they serve food,but it is a great place to drink with the locals as well as visitors

This was the perfect stop for a quick and delicious breakfast on the way out of Breckenridge. We were seated right away on a Sunday morning and our food came out within 20 minutes of us arriving. The Columbine cakes were gigantic and delicious. Also very reasonably priced. You might miss this place from the Main Street because it's tucked back a little bit but it is so worth taking a second to find!

We went to this cool local spot on a Thursday night for those live music, burgers & beer.. relaxing atmosphere and nice people. Will defiantly return

Over the few years I've visited the Columbine it's always been a good experience, the big back lawn area is dog friendly and they've improved and cleaned it up a lot with time, it's really nice back there now. Inside, they've done a big update during their Covid shutdown, new floors, bar, very nice. It was truly divey before, like, kinda crusty. Now it's clean and pleasant. But we finally hit the Friday eve Fish Fry (starts at 4pm, serving to 7pm I think - but they ran out about 6pm). So after years of hearing great things about this fish fry - oh man, so true, just delicious! Two big chunks of deliciously deep fried real cod, about $12 a plate with a ton of yummy fries and a very tasty salad included. We were all loving this food! It was the 'clean plate club' within minutes of plates hitting the table. If you're a condiment fan though, you might want to bring your own, it was pretty minimal. Dogs and kids cavorted while adults drank and ate, everyone had a great time. There's a few picnic tables, not a lot though but tons of plastic chairs, no need to bring any. A good size parking lot but even a small crowd fills it up. I learned later it was the owner Chris behind the bar, super nice friendly guy, but I had no idea that was him. As has been said, beer on tap is your choice of Coors and such but they have some good IPA's and such in cans. And the price is very right, and the mixed drinks do not skimp on the booze. At all. Other than having to pay cash for everything, it was the perfect Friday evening celebration and we're all now going to be regulars. See you there.

Check this place out! I went to the Columbine cafe last night to hear the Cody Sisters band. Columbine has a great deal on concert evenings: $20 for a burger, a beer and live music! I had already eaten dinner so I paid a $10 cover charge. Columbine has 6 or 7 great beers on draft, plus other flavors in cans. I knocked off one star because the ground in the beer garden is tripping hazard. (Yeah, I'm an old fart...) BTW: the burgers looked delicious! Rog

I came in crying, bartender gave me a coors and some Fritos. Highly recommend. Five out of five stars.

We were in town last minute wanting to go snowboarding but we're in desperate need of a wax and sharpening our edges. We called and Chris was available to do our boards same day. We walked in, handed him our boards and ordered two banquets while we waited. Chris had our boards ready to go before we left. He also makes and uses his own wax, alien sauce! Plus it was the cheapest price I've ever paid for this service. Super nice guy, I would highly recommend!!

Great locally own bar with that welcome feeling. They also do ski waxing. Nice outside beer garden.

We had a great stop at the Columbine Bar while in town for a concert . Our bartender was the best ! She had awesome breakfast burritos ready to go with our ice cold Coors Banquet Beer and made us feel welcome and at home. It's great local feel and positive vibe. It's worth the stop so don't let the fist impression from the street scare you off. .

This could be the best local bar in the world. It's definitely the best in Golden. The kind of place where you WILL meet everyone in the bar and be their friend by the end of the night. It's basically Cheers

This place ROCKS!!! We hosted a small birthday gathering for my husband last night, and this is just the most laid back atmosphere. Here are some of our favorite things about the place: - COORS!!! Freshest Coors products in the world! - They may not serve food, but you can order in wherever will deliver (mostly any place in Golden). - Chris, the owner, is so friendly and down to earth! - They now accept credit cards! - On Thursday nights, they wax skis and snowboards...for free! (Donations suggested) This place just doesn't get any better! Cheers, friends!!!

A down home family atmosphere with a great patio area to relax in. There will be blue grass music on Thurs August the 10th at 7:00pm. Come and experience the music and fun. The bine has been my favorite place to meet up with old friends and meet new friends!

At this joint you can have both types of beer....Coors & Coors Light. So maybe their beer selection is slim but what they lack in beer selection they make up in great service and friendly atmosphere. If I lived closer to Golden this would be my go-to-place for cold afternoon beer after hard day's work. Very reasonable prices, good selection of hard liquor, great jukebox, and fun owners.....what else can one ask of small neighborhood bar? What are you doing reading reviews on Yelp? If you are in Golden or West Lakewood take your butt over to Columbine Café and check out this neighborhood bar for yourself. PS Eat before you go there, as they don't serve any food Cash only!!! Bring cash or make sure you know your Debit/Credit Card pin (they do have ATM)
