Petition Seeks to Rename Columbus, Ohio, ‘Flavortown’ to Honor Guy Fieri | Eater

"The city's municipal building is the intended destination for a high-profile Change.org petition delivery scheduled for June 30, which organizers say will include a protest march that stops at the nearby statue of the Italian explorer. The petition—backed by at least 45,000 signers and organized by Tyler Woodbridge—calls for renaming the city “Flavortown” to honor a native celebrity chef and the area's role as a culinary test market; Woodbridge has invited the public to attend the delivery and demonstration and urged participants to wear loud, chef-inspired clothing, cover their faces, carry signs, and project their voices." - Jenny G. Hi, I'm an Italian guy and I'm American citizen. I've been living in Columbus for a year and bought a house. I can tell you that I feel discriminated against by the city of Columbus and its rules, which only work for people like me. I've learned that the United States of America the representation of freedom and democracy, I think there are so many American values missing here in Columbus!

Can we legalize opiates so people stop dying of fentanyl? Every family seems to be affected. Doesn't matter rich or poor. Our families are dying. Thanks

I bought a house in Feb 2024 and am having issues with the city. I actually have called the mayor's office several times left a voicemail and got no response. I spent three hundred and eight thousand dollars on a house, and i'm paying taxes on that. When we bought the house, the trash can that was here was falling apart. The lids falling off the wheels are falling off. And when we try to call the city, I have email communication from 311 in which they state and I quote, we are not replacing the can you can purchase one if you would like, for ninety five dollars. I left them voicemail on the mayor's office line. This would be the number three voicemail and as advised in it. "Please go to google maps and look up columbus city hall and you would find my review. As promised, check my profile fifteen million views, so this is going to get some attention." It would only take thirty seconds of the video, but you can get the gist of it. However, i'm going to post the video and tag the city in it for the full video and the fun thing about google is it won't come down until I take it down. If the mayor's office and public information office would like this removed, they can reach me. The voicemail that the city got has my phone number and address in it as well as my name, which is clearly here publicly. The resolution I want is a new trash can that i'm not paying ninety five dollars for when i'm paying a significant amount of taxes on a three hundred and eight thousand dollar house. My background is in public information also, so if the mayor's office would like to wage a war over a trash, can I would be glad to. I'm a salty ENTP & disabled veteran and I have nothing but time on my hands....

Just want to know if the Mayor knows the security and police officer are violating people's rights? This city hall doesn't follow the laws, and do not care about the constitution. Seriously disappointed!!!

Accessibility here is a nightmare, many flights of stairs, elevators required a card to use and had to wait a long time for help as I couldn't get around as well to find someone. Only been once, never coming back.

Very clean. You must present your ID for entry. Street parking is always limited during the day.

Why would you have to show ID to enter a public building?? That’s a violation of the 4th amendment. Where security personnel don’t identify them selves you have to identify yourself to them?! You people are nuts!
