Stopped by today with my mom for lunch, had the #1 chicken and rice plate, and chicken pho and lemonade. The food was very good and came out fast. Ordered half chicken & duck togo. The sever was kind and attentive. Will come back when Im in the area 👍

I came in and offered to pay for a small sample of their broth and fish sauce. And they would not sell either to me. If either one of those items turned out to be good then I would have definitely spent money here. Guess I won't know how the food is until I wanna roll the dice with this place. Can't quite rate this place properly because of what happened.

I had a truly awful experience today. The waitress was incredibly rude throughout the entire visit — and shockingly, this wasn’t the first time we’ve had issues with her. We decided to give the place another chance, but clearly that was a mistake. What made it even worse was that she manipulated the bill and overcharged us by $10. It was clear she did it intentionally, not an honest mistake. When we questioned it, she got defensive and dismissive instead of owning up to it or even trying to fix the issue. Unless something changes, we will not be returning!!!!!!!

UPDATE: Please do not lie to save face for your business. It's clear that you use family members and friends to bring your reviews up. I have no reason to lie. I did view the menu and the lady told me that nothing was available on the menu. And the door was locked behind me. I never said a person followed me out. But you clearly have an automatic lock as i heard it lock behind me. What's damaging is the way you treat potential customers. I walked in to try then it about a year ago. I was met with a very rude lady. She said she couldn't serve me. When I asked why, she said they ran out of food. I quickly left. I decided to try them out once more so I went in today. Again I was meet with the same rude lady who insisted she only had chicken noodles nothing else. I decided to ask a few more questions. She was rude and dismissive the entire time. She claims they didn't have any other dish, they didn't even have drinks. Everything was out. She didn't want us there clearly. When I walked out she locked the door behind me. I initially thought they were racist, but after seeing the same bad reviews from many others, I'm starting to wonder how they stay open and if they may be involved with some illegal activities. But whatever the case they won't ever have to worry about me coming to try them out a 3rd time. I got the point!

Yummy Vietnamese food, not like other Vietnamese pho, they served chicken clear noodles, the chicken with banana leaves is also very tasty.

We came here for dinner on Saturday but it was not crowded at all. However my friend said that it was very crowded during lunch on weekdays. I ordered vermicelli dark meat chicken noodle soup and my friend ordered rice chicken & cabbage salad. Only after 5 minutes, the foods were served. The meat was soft, tender and juicy. The broth was flavorful. I definitely come back to try other dishes on menu.

Visited this place with family and it was good and fast! The name of the restaurant has the weird "rice" and "chicken" so naturally ordered that. My wife had one of them many chicken soups(pho?) and my sister had the beef dish. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly.

When walking in this place, it was nice. Clean and sleek interior was really interesting. The service here was alright the last time I came here. The timing for the food was perfect though. Speaking of food. The menu had a fair variety of chicken and get this duck. Overall a place to try out and form your own opinion.

Ordered to-go the Tiet Canh (goat meat duck blood) with liver. We got 4 to take back home 2 hours away. It was amazing. Highly recommended Sorry forgot to take pics. Everyone scarfed it down quickly. Can't find it anywhere we live. So it's an amazing treat to my family and friends originally born in Vietnam.

The rice and chicken dishes are very good. This is an OG spot so don't expect the best service but it's enough. The atmosphere is more of old homie feel. If your wanted traditional dishes and flavors ... this place will not disappointe

We were here on a Sunday lunch. Service is good and the food was good too. Food wise is actually good. I have been here many times and so far it hasn't disappointed.

The menu prices, which are partially correct, are marked at the "cash discount". If you pay with card, you will be charged an extra 3.5% of the listed price. While the VN Systems website says a "cash discount is when you post credit card prices and offer a discount on that price for customers who pay with Cash", VN Systems are also providing signs that seem to be talking about surcharges while calling out cash discounts. I was confused because I've seen surcharge signs but never a cash discount one like this. The eggrolls are noted as $6.99 on the menus, but the machine lists them at $7.99. When I pointed out the discrepancy, the lady said "the machine's price is correct" and walked away from me. The menu had so many price updates on the dishes, it's surprising to get notified that another item has an increase in price. There seems to be only one lady that can work the machine, so if she's busy taking orders, dropping off orders or packing stuff up, you'll have to wait to pay. The other lady seems to only drop off orders when she's in the front. I thought the food was pretty tasty and filling. Parts of the lettuce pieces had a few wilted black edges, and some of the edges of the sliced cabbage had turned black due to exposure to air. The eggrolls were warm and crispy. The filling is wetter than other versions and could have been hotter. I got the rice and chicken plate that came with the cabbage and banana flowers salad. The cold chicken is on top of the lightly dressed salad, while the rice, pickled daikon and carrot, sliced fresh cucumber and tomato, and lettuce were on another plate. It comes with a small bowl of Vietnamese grated ginger fish sauce and a small bowl of hot chicken broth with a piece of chicken, and slices of cilantro and green onion. The rice was okay. A mix of young and elderly Vietnamese and Cambodian couples, family and coworkers dined in and picked up lunch during the weekday. The restaurant is part of a mid-size shopping strip/gas station. There's a good amount of parking spaces on either end of the gas station as there are at least (3) eateries. You can enter the parking lot either from Antoine or Beltway 8. The tables and condiments seemed pretty clean. The hallway to the restroom is a little narrow bc they have trash cans full of clean pots lining the walkway, and it's a little hot because it's connected to the kitchen. The restroom is clean and not muggy from the kitchen.

Food 3/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 This restaurant specializes in Vietnamese poached chicken. They have rice, hú tiêu, phố, and chicken salad. Everything is reasonably priced. The portions are on the smaller side. The chicken rice itself was very light in flavor, which to me was a let down. I was expecting a fragrant, moist, and rich seasoned rice. Most of the chicken was boneless so that was a huge plus. Overall, I wasn't too impressed but the restaurant serves quality food at a clean establishment.

This restaurant opens at 10am with fresh noodles and soups for brunch. Only appetizer they offered are eggrolls. Service is great and food came out really quick. The place is big for dine in options, white chairs and tables, and alot of parking in front. Near the highway so you can't miss it.

Com Ga is the best I've had. Really quality ingredients. The chicken was pho was delicious. Coffee was authentic and customer service was fantastic. Extremely spacious and highly recommend.

One of the few consistent, authentic Vietnamese food on this side of town. My elderly mom requests to dine and to go from here often which says a lot already. The chicken is perfectly cooked and never dry in all of the dishes I've ordered from the traditional boiled chicken to the soup. The ginger fish sauce to dip the chicken meat is perfect. They were selling a fresh batch of bánh giò, bánh bèo, and bánh đúc to bring home the Saturday I visited. Not sure if it was only for Lunar new year, but I enjoyed the bánh giò. The filling to dough ratio was perfect and there was a nice (easter) egg in the middle.

A pho place specializing in chicken pho. I ordered the house specialty. The first spoonful tasted like foul pencil lead. I took a second more careful spoonful to make sure I was not hallucinating. I was not hallucinating . Something had gotten into that soup. I paid, and left with my pho otherwise untouched.

I only got the dessert here but family actually ordered food. I can only speak for the desserts and absolutely loved their chè! I'm not entirely sure of the name but it came with basil seeds, almond jelly agar, and pennywort all in one big cup!

Came here today for lunch for some comforting chicken pho. My food came out ONE MINUTE after I ordered. I know pho is fairly quick to prep and there was only one other table in the restaurant but I still thought it was way too fast. Once I took the first bite, I was absolutely right. The noodles were still completely HARD. They didn't blanch it for long enough. I didn't complain and hoped the hot broth would help soften it as I ate. It only softened slightly.. Now on to the broth.. I'm Vietnamese, I know what pho ga should look and taste like. The color of the broth was DARK. When i saw the color, i knew it wouldn't be good. The taste had NO chicken stock flavor and was so salty and sweet at the same time. Just not good at all.. Overall, this place seems like they lost their quality. I've been here a few other times over the years and loved this place. I don't know what happened.

Foood and service was amazing. We order com ga along with goi ga. The com ga had a side bowl of soup and the goi ga bap chuoi comes with the dipping sauce.

Food was on point. Tasty soup based and portions were generous. Not a busy spot and parking is easy. Not a place to come if you want great service. 4.5 stars if I could.

Their food is amazing, especially the chicken rice. The service is very good as well the restaurant is clean and well organized. Overall, this place is a fantastic place to get out.

I frequent the drive from the Southwest side of Houston to IAH so needless to say a gal can get hungry on that long drive! On the side of the highway, I stumbled upon this Vietnamese restaurant that only serves chicken! Yes, all chicken. I was deeply intrigued (and famished). Upon entering I noticed a fish tank and a high ceiling. The space was bright and clean. I was promptly greeted and given a menu. I ordered the Clear Noodle Bamboo Chicken Soup which was a savory soup with a poultry base. Food came out hot, fresh, and tasty. For this dish, you have to option to eat the dish of chicken and veggies separately or you can mix it into the broth. In the bowl of broth, there are clear noodles, pieces of bamboo, and blood curd. There is also a tangy and salty sauce you can dip your chicken in and I highly recommend to! Bathrooms were tidy and they also have a speaker in the ladies' room so the music was jamming while I was in there.

The food was right on. The service could use a little boost: no rushing the customers.

The food is so comforting and refreshing. Living in Texas the refreshing duck salad was soo good. The cabbage was a nice crunch and paired well with the banana flour. Favorite place for banh Canh (udon soup). This place stays true to their Vietnamese root. I love getting #23 which is the udon soup with cabbage salad. Their dipping ginger sauce is the BEST! Service has always been great. Everyone is kind. And the best part is that the food comes out so quick!

1. Service - friendly staff and very attentive. They came often to check up on our table. When you come in, wait to be seated, order at the table, and pay at the cash register. 2. Price - about $7 and up per dish. 3. Ambiance - contemporary architecture. Dress code here is casual. 4. Food - this is a Vietnamese Chicken restaurant. They serve Chicken on rice plates, Chicken Noodle soup, and Chicken Congee Porridge. Besides Chicken, they also serve a dish with Beef and Rice, and Duck Congee Porridge. I tried the COM GA (Chicken & Rice). The flavor is spot on. This place is legit. My family ordered other versions of this plate, and all the chickens served seemed to have been boiled as the chicken skin is still white and not crispy. I don't prefer my chicken this way. 5. Cleanliness - dining area looks clean and well kept. Not sure if I'll be back. There's nothing wrong with this place, just not my cup of tea. But definitely legit Vietnamese food, and if you are into boiled chicken with white skin, than this is the place to be.

I always have cravings of different cuisines and dishes and whenever I crave mien ga (chicken with clear noodles) I always come here! They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from. From pho, rice plates, salads, etc. Other dishes I like to order are the salads, you have the option of choosing chicken or duck. I also like to order buồn mang vịt which is a soup broth that has noodles with bamboo and duck. It comes with a sauce to dip your meat/bamboo in. If you're looking to be adventurous and try something different definitely check this place out! Or if you're familiar with these types of cuisines, stop by and see what their tastes are all about! They do have parking, it's a lot. The restaurant is located next to a gas station.

I didn't like the menu. Nothing but chicken. And I didn't enjoy what I ordered which seemed pretty basic, but didn't taste very good But I had some difficulty paying for the meal because my credit card was declined. I called the credit card company and they said it was fine but that it needed to be inserted in the machine all the way and not tapped. I asked the owner several times to try it again but she became irate and kept saying it was declined. After asking her over and over to try it again I used another card because she threatened to call the police. I would never go there again and recommend that you don't either! By the way I told her I was going to give a bad review. She didn't care.

New & clean restaurant. I'm very impressed with their cleanliness especially in the restroom. I walked in after their rush hour for Sunday lunch but the restroom was still sparkling clean & smelled good. That gave me a very good first impression of this place. We had Com Ga Thuong Hai (Dark Meat) & Mien Mang Vit. The rice plate comes with a small bowl of chicken broth. That broth is even more flavorful than my Mien Mang Vit. The dipping sauce is the same for both dishes & I'm not that impressed. The service was a little slow & food was just decent - a little bit above average (7/10). But you can't really expect much with the limited options of Vietnamese foods around here. I'll still come back if I'm in the area next time.

Nope. Wouldn't recommended. Dakao Restaurant 's Chickens ways better. This place. They don't know how to make chickens.

The menu needs to be updated as I was informed they no longer serve glass noodles. The bamboos in the soup tasted sour and made the taste undesirable. Wish I got the rice instead with the info I received after getting my order. My husband also got soup and he usually has no problem eating what he doesn't like but he couldn't finish it. It's a homey style food & wish we had a better experience.

We ordered Soup Bánh Canh Gà i& The chicken Thượng Hải over rice are very good. They are tasty. The first time we are here in this business. Customer service is friendly warm welcome. Strongly recommend

Place very spacious and clean. I got the clear noodle with chicken and bamboo shoots. Broth was super flavorful & the dipping sauce was a great pair!! Also ate the shaken beef. Portion size was good! Can't leave without eating the Vietnamese dessert "Che khuc Bach". It's not too sweet.

High quality food in a clean space with welcoming service. It's hard to think of anything more comforting that chicken and noodles in any combination you can think of. I went with chicken pho- broth was high quality and the ingredients tasted fresh and clean. I forget this place sometimes, it's a solid stop for sure.

Always so delicious. My favorite so far is the chicken congee and chicken rice. Waiting time is always reasonable also.

The chicken soup was bland. Taste like water, no broth. The veggies for the soup were wilted. The menu prices stated one thing and was charged almost double. They put another tag on the inside of the menu stating that their price would be going up. Just changed your prices on the entree's. Beautiful establishment, horrible food. THUMBS DOWN.

When your son finished the whole plate you automatically knew the food is on point. They do have their way with chickens. I got dry noodles with dark meat and it was so good. Highly recommended for great foods with great price.

The eggrolls and duck porridge were good enough. However, if they want their customers to come back, they have to improve their service. I ordered togo today, the lady on phone was kind of in a rush, not even say thank you, "okay" then hung up on me. My husband picked up the order. He told me it wasn't that busy. The lady was just rude, not interact or talk to him right. "What you order?" THAT'S IT. She didn't even say anything when she gave him the check to sign. Again no thank you. Hey! We're not beggars asking for free food. Treat us with some respect.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, since it's located next to a gas station, but the food was actually pretty good. I just ordered the regular (white meat) chicken pho and a duck salad. Both were good, but the duck salad was the best item, imo. Service was excellent. Not as good as the chicken soup place in chinatown, but if you live up north, this is the next best thing.

It's a true chicken place when there's dark meat and white meat to choose from on the menu. This place was simple and clean. We ordered only dark meat, with rice, with cabbage salad and in a noodle soup. Chicken was juicy and not greasy. Cabbage was crispy and fresh. Every simple detail is just perfect. We're coming back!

I don't usually like posting a review about the food or service unless it's really disappointing. Yes, this restaurant is the one. This place is closed to my work, and I always wanted to check it out until today. I came in, no server was there so I picked a table to sit down. A server came to take my order. I order "mien mang ga" because I was craving for it. He left and I noticed there are small and large size which I never told him which one I wanted. I assumed he would be back to ask me but nope. He brought the food out not even 5 mins later with a big size for me. The broth tasted like water with msg. I kept adding ginger fish sauce to bring the flavor back. The bamboo still has the chewy part which was supposed to throw away.. It was so sad to eating something that I know I could cook it better :( maybe other food is better I don't know but I don't want to disappointed again. Sorry!!!

Best Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) and Com Ga (Chicken Rice) in Texas. Hands down. Coming from someone Born in VN and tried all types of Pho and Rice.

Nice place for authentic Vietnamese food in North Houston. Signature dishes are Pho Ga (Chicken Rice Noodle Soup), Bun Mang Ga (Bamboo Shoots and Chicken Vermicelli Rice Noodle Soup) and Com Ga Thuong Hai (Shanghai Steamed Chicken and Rice). Very good Vietnamese Iced Milk Coffee here. Good customer service and plenty of parking spaces. Highly recommend!!!

This review is based mostly on service rather than the food itself. Came out here with my family around 3:30 pm. First ordered drinks. Avacado shake, out. Durian shake, out. Coffee, out. Tapioca, out. Ok, tell me what you do have instead as to save us both time. We ended up ordering the artichoke drink, green thai tea, and a regular thai tea. The wife wanted to eat the bamboo duck noodle soup. Out. Surprise surprise. The excuse was that they are very busy on Sunday and ran out of most of the stuff we requested. As we looked around, there were only 4 other tables that were occupied at best. I can understand that you just opened, but you seriously need better inventory control. The wife and daughter ordered the mien ga soups while my son ordered the pho ga. The food came out quickly enough...perhaps too quick as the broth was semi warm at best. While they were eating, we were constantly pestered by the servers reaching over us to grab the condiments bottle to refill. Like seriously? People are eating and you have plenty of empty tables you can be refilling instead. Who want strangers all over their table while they are eating? And for the grand finale of insults to injuries, they totally forgot about the 3 drinks we ordered as well after they repeated the order back to us. I guess they were out of those too but just didn't want to mention it. All in all, worst experience ever. First time and last time for us here. Moving on.

Everything had a great taste, and the food came out really fast. Almost too fast, because the food was a bit on the cold side. This of course is their soft opening this week so they are getting the kinks out. They also gave me some of their Chicken Pho, the stock was bursting with flavor, you can tell that it was home made stock by the flavor it gave, I will definately try the Pho next time. I will give it another try and let all the other Yelpsters know the outcome!
