CLOSED ON TUESDAYS!
Com Tam Saigon at Katy Asian Town is hands down my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the Houston area — and the very first place I go when I land in town. I've been meaning to write a review for years! See my photos of the different meals I remembered to shoot. Anything you order, you can't go wrong!
Everything here is consistently excellent. My go-to order is the Bún Thịt Nướng (B2) — the grilled pork is perfectly seasoned and cooked, the noodles are light, and the vegetables are incredibly fresh. I also love the garden rolls with pork or shrimp. What really sets them apart are the sauces: tangy, balanced, and flavorful without being overly sweet. You can tell care is taken with every component. We've ordered family meals, various entrees and it never disappoints.
Their soups are also outstanding — comforting, deeply flavored, and exactly what you want alongside a Vietnamese meal done right.
I bring family and friends here whenever I can, and everyone loves it. Their take out is quick and still as tasty. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, the prices are modest and fair, and the whole experience feels like a breath of fresh air compared to Los Angeles dining. Parking is plentiful, and while Katy Asian Town has many good spots, Com Tam Saigon is always my favorite.
Reliable, delicious, welcoming — this place never disappoints. Try it!
