Okay, now I see why people come here! Every time I dined in at Saigon Oi next door, I wondered why so many people were always walking in to this restaurant. I get it now!
Parking in this plaza in general is a hit or miss. There's too many businesses so you will have to gamble your chances of getting a parking spot. We usually park in the area behind Bambu since there's always parking available there.
The ambience inside is like every typical Asian restaurant you see. We came right before the rush and were seated right away. Our order came our fast as well so it wasn't a bad wait.
As far as the food, we ordered their rice plates (beef rib and bbq pork). Compared to other rice plates that we've had, this place isn't as overly seasoned. Their egg patty and shrimp cake are bomb! I love that it's lightly seasoned so you can dip or spread the vinaigrette on it without it being salty. The beef ribs and bbq pork were also seasoned very well - not super saucy. I like the charred taste which really brings out the bbq-ness. The shrimp on the sugar cane was good, but I wasn't a fan of the sugarcane. I thought it had a bamboo taste to it, which is weird. The juice inside was sweet though, but I couldn't bite the rest of the sugarcane since. Oh, the side of broth was super good! We haven't had a side broth that tasted this good!!! Sometimes, you get a broth that tastes like pho or chicken stock, but this broth had a wonton taste to it. I'm definitely trying their pho next time we come.
I would definitely recommend coming here for if you're craving rice plates.
