I always really enjoy going to Coma. Their coffee beans are really good, the atmosphere is great, location is great, and it's more than just a coffee shop. I think Coma might be the best coffee shop that has a full food menu. Complete package. Their double Coma smash burger with fries were really good. Were they the best burger and fries I've ever had? No. But, it's a coffee shop, and for a coffee shop; it is extremely impressive with the quality of food they have. Not to mention, they serve alcohol as well. All around win. Check this place out. Coffee: 9/10 Coma Double Smash Burger: 8/10 French Fries: 7/10

Google
Coma coffee exceeded my expectations; the strawberry matcha was so good that we ordered one to go on the way out! We also ordered a mango matcha tonic that was tastier than I thought it would be. Their dishes were really yummy too!

I’ve been a loyal patron of Coma since they first opened, and they’ve consistently delivered high-quality food and drinks. Whether you’re into pour-overs or flavored lattes, the coffee is always excellent—you won’t be disappointed. Their food is equally impressive. I’ve tried a wide range, from pastries, cookies, and brownies to hot dishes from the kitchen, and I’ve enjoyed every bite. My go-to is the breakfast burrito with the Southwest vegan patty and a side of salsa. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve ordered it—it’s reliably delicious. The space itself is warm, welcoming, and comfortable. Coma is usually bustling, especially on weekends, but there’s plenty of seating, so you’re likely to find a spot. If you’re local, Coma deserves to be a regular stop. And if you’re visiting from out of town, it’s an absolute must for great coffee and satisfying food.

Google
This is my third time here and first time trying the food. I normally get the coffee or matcha. Service is quick and there's plenty of seating but it gets really busy. It's nice to study here if you find a spot. The food wasn't too bad either!

This establishment offers an excellent environment for enjoying a latte and a meal. The honey chicken tacos are particularly recommended, and the latte selection is consistently of high quality. It is an ideal location for social gatherings, such as meeting with friends or significant others, as well as for individual work or study. Seating availability may be limited during peak hours due to the venue's popularity. The main level provides convenient access to electrical outlets for charging devices, while the second level features larger tables. For larger groups or in shared seating arrangements, access to electrical outlets can be challenging. Additional outlets on the upper level would significantly enhance the space's suitability for study and work.

I stopped into Coma Coffee looking forward to trying something new and interesting—a strawberry matcha latte with a shot of espresso. Unfortunately, my experience from the moment I walked in was uncomfortable and disappointing. I was greeted at the register by a staff member who was dry and disinterested. I placed my order and sat near the bar to wait. While my drink was being made, I overheard two baristas talking about it. One barista began preparing the drink by adding strawberry syrup to the milk, while the other mixed the matcha and espresso together. Midway through, one said to the other, “Why are you doing it like that? It makes the drink not as pretty.” Despite this comment, they continued anyway and handed me the drink, fully aware it didn’t look right. It ended up being an unappetizing brown-green color. That interaction alone made me feel like I was being handed something they weren’t proud of. It felt careless and awkward—especially as a customer who paid for a specific, customized drink. Feeling uneasy about the whole thing, I went back to the register and explained what I saw and heard. Instead of an apology or any attempt to make it right, I got a half-hearted explanation about the “buoyancy” of espresso and matcha—something I know isn’t the real issue. It felt dismissive and insincere, like they were brushing me off rather than addressing my concern. At the end of the day, it’s not just about how the drink looked (though it looked bad)—it’s about how I was made to feel. If the staff openly criticize how a drink is being made in front of the customer and then serve it anyway, it sends the message that quality and customer experience don’t matter. I left feeling unwelcome and disappointed. I won’t be returning.

I’ve been coming to coma coffee for quite awhile! I can’t find better food, drinks, or atmosphere around. I’m such a fan of the chicken panini and their summer strawberry matcha! 10/10 always :)

Yelp
I f*cking love Coma Coffee. It is the perfect work from home / study / hangout spot. The food is great and I'm glad they have such a robust menu. Their drinks are also fabulous and I've been working my way through their menu. I gotta say the lavender latte is a favorite. Definitely wanna go back and try their cold brew with the chocolate cold foam! I will say for remote workers it can get a little loud. So bring your noise canceling headphones and make sure your laptop / devices are charged cause they don't have a ton of outlets either. All that to say, the wifi is strong and I've never had issues with it.

Yelp
What an absolute gem in brentwood! In an area that is a desert for good coffee Coma can be your oasis. Multi level, vibey, and delicious. First and foremost the workers are awesome. Just a slew of coffee loving folks smiling and having a good time serving students, partners, professionals, and everyone in between. You can study, catch up with friends, and even have yourself an AM espresso martini. Bar seating, table seating, stools. No matter the occasion they got you set. Oh, and the pastry box is DECADENT! The confetti cookie is incredible.

Yelp
Really nice coffe shop to go and grab coffee, a bite to eat or have a little quiet time. They are located inside of University Tower on the first floor. Upon entering it seemed a little small and crowded due to the counter being so close to the door and if there are numerous people in line, you will be waiting in the lobby. They have an upstairs area that is quiet and has tables, a couch and some chairs. Great space to get some work done while enjoying coffee. While at the counter, the barista didn't acknowledge me or see if i had any questions. I tried to ask questions about certain drinks on the menu, and she was very short and seemed bothered, so I just ordered a green apple Italian soda. It was ok. The green apple flavor was very subtle and i wished it was a little sweeter. It felt as if i was drinking carbonated cream with a splash of apple. I will come back during early hours to try coffee as I came here for a late afternoon work meeting. I don't drink coffee late in the day as it gets me wired. They do sell pastries and food as well.

Yelp
I came in to test Coma out as a coffee shop to get some work done outside of my home office. Came in on a Friday late morning. Most of the tables downstairs were already taken but I lucked out and someone was leaving as I arrived. Didn't have a chance to peek upstairs but it seemed pretty busy. Variety of coffee beverages, including seasonal specials! I had a dirty turmeric latte special which had good flavor but note that is comes iced by default. Appreciates the variety of breakfast and lunch options but will say that the prices are kind of high for what you get. Definitely recommend a biscuit though! Great texture and flavor!

Yelp
I love Coma! The lighting, space, and customer service is always amazing. I've not had any food there I didn't like and it's a great place for me to get work done. I got the iced chai and chicken tacos and I loved them both.
google avatar

Annie B.

Yelp
Delicious lattes and pastries! I've also tried the iced matcha and the strawberry one is very good as well. Cute ambiance with a lot of seating and WiFi so it's a good place to work or hang out with friends. Service is friendly and very quick too.

Yelp
There is more than one reason this place is packed every day of the week despite being in an unassuming spot at the bottom of an office building. The food is good, the coffee is great, and the natural lighting helps you feel not so bad about being inside working! I appreciate the all day options of both breakfast and lunch, the copious veggie options, and the creative lattes and cold brews. It is a little expensive but they are clearly making everything to order. That's why every time I have an errand in Brentwood, I bring my laptop along to get some work done in Coma's ambiance.

Yelp
Food: 4 Stars Service:4 Stars I've been visiting this spot for years and love that when I'm in the area running errands, just shopping, or want to meet up with a friend for a quick chat I can turn to Coma for a moment to breathe/reset. The cafe isn't located in a spot that's easily visible from the main road, as it sits within a corporate/residential complex. I'm not sure what the parking is like during the week day, but on the evenings and weekends, the parking lot always has spots available. Service can be a hit or a miss, but they do have cozy seating, free WiFi, counter charging, and an overall welcoming ambiance. We really enjoy their menu items, especially when seasonal items are in rotation. Highly recommend Coma and hope you enjoy your experience as much as I do!

Yelp
Food is top tier, ambiance is a vibe & service is very sweet & kind. I love this place, new fave coffee shop! ALSO COFFEE IS FIRE

Yelp
Went on a weekend so it was packed! Luckily we were able to find seating. The area was bustling, but a nice coffee shop to hangout or study at. Coffee was good, I tried the blackberry caramel latte on the seasonal menu and I appreciated the interesting flavor combo!
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
This place is always popping, but for a good reason because their coffee is delicious! They always have fun seasonal flavors to try and great pastries and food options. Last time I went I tried something from their food menu, a breakfast burrito and it was very tasty. Also seems like a great place to hangout , they have an upstairs, but it definitely can get noisy.
google avatar

Yelp
This spot is easy to miss but in a great location. We ordered a coffee, a chocolate croissant, an iced strawberry matcha, and a breakfast burrito with the southwest vegan patty. I really enjoyed the strawberry matcha, it's unique and something I haven't seen anywhere else. I was also impressed with the burrito and the multiple vegetarian options they offered. There are some large tables and lots of people studying/working. Seems like a great spot to get some work done and hang out.

Yelp
All we got were coffees for this visit but it was really good! I got a sugar cookie latte and it wasn't super super sweet, which I prefer! It also didn't leave my teeth scummy like some places do. Also, even though we didn't get food, the baked goods were so tempting. They had some cookies and scones, and a couple muffins too. It was a modern vibe but still cozy. The upstairs was especially inviting because of all the sofas and comfy chairs, whereas downstairs is more tables. We found some comfy chairs downstairs and just had nice time being out. The lady who took our order was really kind. There wasn't a ton to do for us but she was nice. Also, while we're there, one of the workers spilled steamed milk on herself and o saw all the other workers, jump to her assistance and asked if she was okay, so the staff seemed great! This was my first time here and I'll for sure go back!
google avatar

Annie F.

Yelp
Coma is a great study space for students looking to study. It can get crowded, so really depends on what time you get there. I love the fruit matcha lattes they have and it's great that they also have a comprehensive breakfast/lunch menu which is awesome when you really have to grind for a couple hours. Definitely a place I go back to often!
google avatar

Jordan L.

Yelp
I never write negative reviews, but for the first time I unfortunately, had a pretty disappointing experience. I waited 45 minutes for an online order. Then when I go in early to wait. I see my coffee was one that sat for 15 minutes without being brought to the online order table. The latte was watered down, and the staff didn't seem to care. Very sad experience. I wouldn't have wrote this if they weren't so dismissive of my sitting coffee.
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
My second "office" of the day, I spent about three hours here this morning plugging away at emails and dialing in to Zoom bridges. The wifi worked well but the space is a bit loud for trying to work. Still, it's free and the coffee was very good. Parking is a challenge in their smaller lot. Not all of the tables have power outlets. [Review 585 of 2024 - 288 in Missouri - 21616 overall]

Yelp
I started getting Coma during covid because they were offering great deals on bulk lattes and they also partnered with a bagel place for drive up pick up. Post-covid, their online ordering is so easy and their menu has grown so much! All of the staff are friendly. Parking is relatively easy with the lots outside and the parking garage, and pick up orders are available on a table right when you enter. The place always has so many people - it seems like a good place to catch up with a friend, especially when the weather is nice on the outdoor seating.

Yelp
This place is sort of tucked away and I didn't realize it replaced the Skybar until I got here. When I walked in, I was taken aback that it was two stories! I def. thought it was best that they had two levels but also appreciative of all the space they had. The menu has quite a few options to choose ranging from breakfast sandwiches and bowls to salads, burgers and pastries. It truly has a little dabble of everything, which is great when you can't figure out what you want to eat. I met with a friend and while I was going to get one of the hash bowls, I opted last minute to get the pesto and Parmesan foccacia instead, as well as a chocolate chip cookie to go. They heated up my focaccia and off we went. The foccacia roll was reminiscent of the focaccia they used to sell at Bread co, except this was better. It was super light and airy, with the perfect amount of Parmesan and pesto inside. It's def. light and while I was worried I'd be full, I was eagerly awaiting my next one! My friend ordered a cappuccino and I loved how they made the design with the milk. When you're done eating, they kindly ask that you buss your own table and provided a bin for you to place your dishes in. There's a lot of things I want to try on the menu and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Always so good! Tried the mini pancakes for the first time and they were delicious! Lattes are always so good. Everyone that works at Coma is so nice and attentive. Tons of seating inside and out. You will always find it busy with people working, hanging out, or just enjoying the vibes. Cannot recommend enough!!
google avatar

Yelp
A nice shop in a surprising location. I've only tried the drip coffee, it was pretty good but the pastries were the best feature here! Very friendly staff answered our questions patiently. Enjoy!

Yelp
Coma has become one of my favorite coffee shops in STL. I have consistently been visiting Coma for the past 5 years. The inside is bright with seating on the first floor, around the bar, and long tables on the second floor that overlook the first. The decor is modern yet artsy. The service is consistently good -- the people taking your order are kind and helpful, and your drinks come out within 5 minutes typically. The drinks themselves are wonderful. Coma serves one of my favorite cafe drinks in STL: the strawberry matcha -- a traditional matcha latte with strawberry syrup at the bottom. I look forward to this seasonal drink every year! Coma's lattes, teas, and drip coffees are also wonderful, too. I do not order food often but today I ordered the chicken mozzarella pesto panini with a caesar salad. The salad was perfect, and the sandwich was tasty. The chicken was a bit dry but overall flavorful. I highly recommend Coma! It's a wonderful spot to study, meet with friends, or read a book!

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick coffee. I got the 12 oz caramel latte. It was the perfect little sized latte. Their flavors are house made and the caramel was really good. The 12 oz lattes have 2 shots of espresso and the 16 oz have 3 shots of espresso. The flavors for their lattes were limited and I wish they had a few more options, but overall the lattes were very good and service was quick.
google avatar

Yelp
Price is the only thing that knocks Coma down from 5 stars. The price of the avocado toast is why people don't like millennials like me. BUT the price is listed up front and the descuida accurate. What REALLY matters is that it tasted amazing and is exactly what I wanted. And the cappuccino was perfect. All around I highly recommend if you're looking for a great menu from an amazing local coffee shop
google avatar

Sara G.

Yelp
I love this coffee shop in a pinch. It's conveniently located, free easy parking, great and quick service, cozy seating, free WiFi, counter charging, and a variety of beverages and snacks. The ambiance is welcoming, with soft lighting, comfortable chairs, and normal bustling sound. Easy to work and grab a coffee.
google avatar

Chad M.

Yelp
Best coffee I've had in St Louis. But then again I've only been to that city once for 8 hours before flying home. But their coffee is pretty darn good regardless. The burger and fries were really good too.
google avatar

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
Coma is always my go to spot whenever I'm in the area. The drinks are always wonderful and the people working very friendly! It can get quite busy on the weekends but I love sitting in the upstairs area! Beware that food can some times take awhile!
google avatar

Olivia N.

Yelp
lots and lots are seating! came on a tuesday not crazy busy. lots of parking and a parking garage. located right near the galleria. i got the chicken strips they were super good. HOWEVER i would say the pricing is a little high on food, but drink pricing is good. my friend loaded avocado toast: her comments were good, but pricey for how much you get. my other friend chicken panini: 4/5 stars. pesto sauce on it was very very good. he enjoyed the fries as well
google avatar

Yelp
I was searching for a place with coffee flights and this place came up. My friend and I were dining in so I THOUGHT when I ordered a coffee flight that they'd serve it in the cute glasses like the pics I saw but I guess I was wrong so that was a huge bummer. The staff was nice and chatty and the cofee was OK.
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
Coma is always a solid choice, and not just because I spend a ton of time in offices nearby, making it my 'neighborhood coffee shop' during the day. Friendly staff, solid food choices (I'm particularly a fan of their chicken fingers rolled in BBQ sauce), house-roasted coffee that is always delicious (and which comes in these great tall ridged plastic mugs if you drink it in-house), and an ambiance that's pretty striking. The coffee bar is centrally located, meaning you can sit anywhere around the baristas as they're making drinks, but there's also a beautiful open second level with glass barriers, letting you sit above the bar below and look out of the windows as Richmond Heights buzzes by. Be prepared for a wait - that's actually the only consistent downer about this place. They're well-loved, which makes them busy, so if you're coming at peak times, be prepared to stand in line to order (from their ample food, pastries, drip and speciality coffee menus) and to wait for that food and drink to come to you.
google avatar

Zoya A.

Yelp
The cutest shop in the most convenient location, if you're looking for a cafe with a modern/minimalistic design but with a menu to cater for that wholesome/local zest this spot is for you! The food and drinks here are great and the staff is so friendly! I will be returning both with friends and by myself for some work time. (definitely try the house made biscuit, it's huge and soo fluffy!!)
google avatar

Zohra H.

Yelp
I went to this cafe with my mom to study a bit and it did NOT disappoint! We found a nice place to sit upstairs and it was very easy to lock in. My avocado toast was delicious, it was perfectly filling and was a little sweet which was a nice flavor. Sometimes avocado toast can be too salty so this was perfect! My mocha was so yummy it fueled me right up. The service was very pleasant, the tip jars said icarly or victorious which was a nice little addition. Love this cafe and I'll def be going here a lot over the summer!
google avatar

Mary Z.

Yelp
I've heard so many great things about Coma Coffee Roasters, and I finally had the chance to try it out. I loved their Signature Campfire Latte, and I was surprised they had food offerings beyond just bakery and pastry goods. The interior has a very hip, and urban vibe to it, with lots of natural light and filled with many young, trendy-looking customers working and studying. I knocked off one star due to the slightly odd location, right inside a random high-rise office building. It's not difficult to find, but it's more of destination rather than stumbling across by accident.
google avatar

Zach H.

Yelp
Cool coffeee shop in Brentwood with delicious selections. The blackberry latte was yummy. Pricing is good and ambiance is great: they even have an upstairs area. To go pick ups are weird, got there at pick up time and they hadn't even started my order yet.
google avatar

Christopher C.

Yelp
Great matcha and coffee. One of the few places that can do a cold brew cappuccino. Small selection of simple fare but that is recommended as well. Mellow vibe.
google avatar

Parker B.

Yelp
I went on a Saturday morning so I had to wait in line to order. Once I ordered they had my drink ready quickly. I got a cold brew with almond milk. The coffee was really good. They had a bunch of pastries that looked fresh. They have the option to order online if you are in a hurry. This is a great place to study or get some work done.
google avatar

Imani R.

Yelp
I came here to meet with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and it honestly was the perfect place. There's two floors with seating and outdoor seating as well. There's a parking lot across from the shop, which is inside of a building. The service was nice and they were very friendly. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so I can't really attest to everyone's standards, but I prefer something super sweet haha. That being said, I'm interested in trying non-coffee items. I didn't get to explore the menu the way I would've liked, but there's more opportunities. I definitely plan to come back to try something new!
google avatar

Beth A.

Yelp
Very nice place to get work done, it's a bit busy though. I will say I work better in a chatty environment! The coffee is PERFECT and they even did something off the menu for me. If you want to get the pink lady latte they'll do it for you! Definitely worth the ask!
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Great coffee, great vibes, but so so incredibly busy on the weekends! I would love to come here more but sometimes the wait for a coffee can be 30+ minutes.
google avatar

Han V.

Yelp
Lots of space with their upstairs area, house made syrups, and the baristas take the time to make beautiful latte art. A wonderful find while we were visiting St. Louis!
google avatar

Kara B.

Yelp
This is a cute spot in the bottom of a business building. Service is quick. They offer coffee, tea and boozy options. Smaller and bigger bites for food. I ordered the original avocado toast that has lemon and everything bagel season which was delicious. Parking can be a little rough during busy hours. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
I stopped in for some coffee and a chat with a friend on a rainy afternoon on a Tuesday. The place was packed, I could barely find a seat. The barista at the register was very friendly. I got an iced matcha latte with oat milk and a cinnamon muffin. The latte came in a very cute glass cup which I liked since I was eating in. I liked the place and the chill vibes so I might stop back in.

Yelp
Due for an update...have probably been to Coma a dozen times in the last 10 years. A lot has changed here, multiple times, including the move to the other side of the lobby of the office building, into a space with a lot of seating, which is really nice. There are big communal tables up here and people come to work. Surprised I didn't update my review on my last visit; I thought I had. The cortado I had on my last visit, which was an anerobic fermentation coffee, was as good as drink as I remember having. I also recall that the cold brew was really interesting, and the drip was outstanding. I think they are outstanding roasters and make very good drinks. I still do, but they aren't offering as exotic coffees as they once were. I did the flight today, and whereas last time all the coffees were medium or light roast, today they were all fairly dark...could taste the roast on two of the three. Also, they aren't offering a single origin espresso anymore. For most people, this continues to be an outstanding coffee shop, and I would recommend it to them highly--probably the best option around for many--but I wouldn't put it on my list of a must go destination for specialty coffee.
google avatar

McKenzie C.

Yelp
Coma coffee is a really cute coffee place near the galleria. I think it is a perfect place to go if you need to get some work done because of its many windows and seating areas. Though it can sometimes be a bit crowded, the workers there are super friendly and the coffee they serve has always been better than normal cafes. Their espresso tastes nutty and sweet and they also serve light breakfast items if you wind up getting hungry while working. Overall I think it's a good place to bring a friend for a chat or to spend some time on a date with yourself!
google avatar

Laura D.

Yelp
limited seating so don't go when it's busy; many people on their laptops with their backpacks taking up available seating and would give up the space - not the restaurants fault but maybe post a sign to prevent this rude behavior
google avatar

Yelp
This coffee shop is an amazing place to meet up with friends for breakfast/brunch, or just to sit down to read/ work. It's situated on ground level of an office building. The service is good and prices are reasonable. I usually just stopped by to grab a matcha latte or oat latte to go, so I haven't tried their food yet. I like that they use robusta coffee which offers the classic and nostalgic taste of Vietnamese coffee- bold with notes of dark chocolate and nutty. Their signature drinks are very creative and seasonal. It's also nice that they have delicious vegan muffins and some gluten free options. The line here can be super long between 8-9am, and parking can be tricky sometimes.

Yelp
Coma Coffee is such a gem!! The menu is loaded up with tons of unique drinks and eats. Coma is nestled in a large building directly across from the Galleria. The building has TONS of parking which is great so you don't have to stress about where to park. It can get pretty busy in there but they do have lots of seating on both floors. The service is always great. The baristas are knowledgeable and helpful.

Yelp
Interesting location. It's on the first floor of an office building and has downstairs and upstairs seating available. Had the El Salvador drip which was pretty amazing. As I ordered for dine-in, would have preferred coffee in a mug instead of take out cup. Although, I didn't ask for a "real" cup either. Next time. Also, offers a sampling of food options. Was a little disappointed in the tomato soup as it was very thick (not soupy and not bisque) like a paste. Not what I expected. That being said, it did taste great. Not much variety for fresh fruits, other than a yogurt parfait. It was tasty but was really just looking for a mixed fruit bowl. Overall, it was a great spot.
