4 Extraordinary Boba Shops to Know in Los Angeles and Orange County | Eater LA

"In Huntington Beach ComeBuy feels more like a fancy cocktail bar than a boba shop: workers constantly shake drinks to order in actual cocktail shakers, and drinks are built from large tubes holding towers of tea that are ground to order like espresso. Baristas pull shots of intensely flavored tea, shake them with ice and milk, and finish beverages with toppings such as boba, grass jelly, aloe vera, and fresh whipped cream. The espresso-style brewing gives the tea a higher caffeine kick, though the ice-shaking can slightly dilute flavor; overall, the interactive cocktail bar–style service makes for a memorable boba experience." - Matthew Kang

1. This is my favorite drink at this spot, and I love the yam boba toppings! 2. The spot has chill casual vibes with a cozy interior! 3. The staff were friendly and timely with my drink! It took about 5 mins! Note: This spot does not have restrooms for customers! Photo: Evaporated Milk Roasted Oolong

Google
COMEBUYTEA - serves up refreshing drinks with bold tea flavors and the perfect balance of sweetness. It's my absolute favorite boba spot, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Google
Boba with authentic tea instead of the other boba places that use powder or seep a ton of tea in big vats. This place makes the tea one cup at a time for each boba drink. The drinks do not rely on fancy toppings or heavy syrups or sugar. The taste is pure and flavorfull. I ordered three different boba teas to try and each had its distinct flavor. Matcha was sweet but not over powering. Pineapple was tart and fruity with the coconut jelly enhancing the balance. Finally the three tea blend reminded me of the first time that I had boba where the tea is the star of the drink and not the weird concoctions that other places have (Oreo boba I’m talking about you). I would recommend ordering hot tea here or boba with zero sugar to enjoy the true flavour of the teas.

Google
Tasty Taiwanese boba shop. I love the flavorful tea and beloved topping. Collect one point for each drink. Seven points for one free drink. Just trade 4 free drinks today!!

Google
Very fancy looking tea shop, incredible asthetic, the tea brew machine looking so cool, but the tea taste so water down. Really dissapointed. The boba was ok not good not bad either. Both of our teas was really weak flavors.

Kyle P.

Google
One of the better boba places around. Drinks made to order with a great tea flavor. You can definitely taste the quality and care they put into making your drink. Get the osmanthus oolong tea!

Google
Very cool storefront and good service...until the paper cup kept leaking! It leaked once in the plastic bag just as I placed it into the car cup holder, so I brought it back inside the store immediately, the worker simply replaced the remaining content into a new cup (other stores would have remade the drink even if a customer simply did not like the taste not to mention a cup issue), resealed, thought it'll be ok only for it to leak again! It even got on my car seat, thankfully it's leather so it didn't soak through. By the time I got home we ended up with only half a cup left and sticky hands and car seat. The seal was perfectly fine for the plastic cups but definitely unacceptable for the paper ones. For the price and being a global brand this is upsetting. I've been a customer in multiple countries and so far this has only happened at this location.

Google
Pretty cool drip tea here! It smells delicious inside! The interior is cool, you can see the tea leaves spin and all the steamed tea machines working. There are different boba options available and flavors as well. I got a small cup of aloe vera on the side as a snack :)

Yelp
Come Buy Tea is the gold standard. I am a boba tea snob. This is my "go to" place....any place else pales in comparison- Just sayin'! Service is expedient and accurate! The taro boba is my favorite topping! I have grown to love their Roiboos non caffeinated tea. It's smooth, clean, and the freshest tasting!

Yelp
It was okay, but nothing tasted outstanding. I ordered the guava oolong tea with agar QQ pearl, and my husband got the mango oolong tea also with agar QQ pearl. I thought the agar QQ pearl was going to be something unique based off what I read from other reviewers, but it's just regular crystal boba that you can get from any boba shop lol? I will say, I do really like the fact that they freshly make the teas to order, but taste wise, it tasted kind of bland. Not sure if it was because of the quality of the tea or quality of the juice they used, but it tasted like something I could make at home. Overall, it was fine. The shop itself is small and I don't remember there being a seating area, but you can just walk around Bella Terra with your drink or find a place outside to sit. Service was relatively quick and we got our drinks quickly as well. If I was in the area and was desperate for boba, I'd consider stopping by, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Yelp
I like that this place lets me choose the ingredients for my drink. I choose the jasmine green tea and soy milk topped with aloe vera. Instead of soy milk, I had the option to choose a fruit juice. I saw them prepare the drink in front of me and saw them put hella ice. Next time, I want to try tea combined with fruit juice and less ice. There were a few tables and chairs for outdoor seating. I started collecting stamps on a card they gave me since it was my first visit.

Yelp
This is in the Bella Terra shopping center. Plenty of parking if you're lucky! This place legit has tea hanging from their wall. We were greeted by their staff and service was very very quick. Clean and pretty space and the tease taste good with their Boba. I would probably come back and try something with milk if it wasn't so late.
google avatar

Amanda N.

Yelp
Delish! Their selection of fresh teas and combos available keep each visit interesting.
google avatar

Robert C.

Yelp
I got the pineapple jasmine green tea with coconut jelly. This was really good and had the right amount of sweetness. There's no seating inside. There's a couple of tables outside.

Yelp
Came here several times after eating at Kabuki's restaurant, most of the tea drink are not tasteful or dense enough, can't identify which one is which when you order 3 different type of tea. The milk tea is okay and pretty plain. So far they are the only one who has boba drink milk tea in this Bella Terra area. In dum, nothing special for the drink over here however the decorations is nice in store, staff is nice, but there's no sit inside which is a minute because summer is okay but at this time is not recommend to go here, because of rain and cold.

Yelp
I wish this was closer to me because I feel like this is the best and most unique boba I've had in a while. I went to this shop at a Hong Kong location and it really tastes exactly the same! I think there's only this Huntington Beach location and a Seattle location in the US. DRINKS Evaporated milk roasted oolong with taro yam boba 9.5/10 - this was on their list of top drinks. I love taro so I decided to try it. I've never had boba made with evaporated milk. It definitely gives a Hong Kong flavor profile to a classic Taiwanese drink. The oolong tea was rich and delicious as well! Pineapple green tea with aloe vera 10/10 - any boba place that offers aloe as a topping does not play! This was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Both drinks were 50% sweet, which I thought was on par with 50% at most places in CA. PARKING This store is located inside a mall. It's in the outdoor section of the mall so don't park in the garage! Let the GPS take you close to the shop and park in one of the outdoor spots. AMBIANCE This is more of a grab and go place. The inside is gorgeous. They take bobarista to a new level. The tools they have to prepare tea is as advanced as your favorite coffee shop. And it smells SO GOOD inside! The employees were also very nice and helpful. They walked us through the menu and gave great recommendations.
google avatar

Tram B.

Yelp
Great place to go if you're looking for strong tea flavor in your drink! They have tea leaves in the shop so you can smell everything as they make your drink. The best part is it's located in a shopping area so you can either enjoy your drink sitting down or while browsing shops. The osmanthus oolong tea was light in sweetness and strong tea flavor so it felt very refreshing. It also came with brown sugar boba and agar so you get some good texture in there as well

Yelp
Stopped by this tea shop last tuesday. It's a cute little spot with a nice vibe and a solid selection of drinks. It wasn't that busy and there were two workers. I ordered and it took about 3 minutes to get my drinks. I tried the matcha latte and the roasted oolong milk tea. Both were well made, but the flavors just didn't quite hit the mark and that I'm not really a tea person. The matcha was smooth but leaned a bit too milky for my taste, and the oolong milk tea had a strong roasted taste that others might love, but I found a bit overpowering. The quality was there, and I can see why people enjoy it. Overall, service was friendly and quick, and everything was clean and well-presented. I probably wouldn't order those two drinks again, but I'd definitely come back to try something else. If you're a tea fan, it's worth to check this place out.

Yelp
I dropped by ComeBuyTea with a friend around 6:30PM on a Thursday after doing some shopping around Bella Terra. Upon entering the boba shop, you're greeted with the strong, pleasant aroma of tea. The interior is elegantly decorated with giant glass canisters of tea leaves, but it is rather small, providing no indoor seating. I was told that they were sold out of the classic boba topping and that it would have been a 40 minute wait for more taro yam boba at the time I ordered. I suggest you come earlier than I did if you want a greater variety of toppings to choose from. It's also worth nothing that the addition of a topping is a whole extra dollar, which is a slightly steeper price than other boba shops. DRINK: Evaporated Milk Roasted Oolong Tea (3.75/5) - Got this with the Taiwan Guanxi grass jelly since there was no taro yam boba readily available. I also chose the 75% sweetness option which I think intensified the already strong oolong tea flavor. I tried my friend's 100% sweetness drink and it was definitely more milky tasting than mine. Solid drink, but it didn't blow me away despite being one of the top drinks there. I would personally skip the grass jelly next time since it wasn't anything special or worth the extra dollar. One confusing thing that happened was my friend receiving a significantly smaller drink cup because she opted for no toppings. I've never encountered that before, and I thought it was especially weird since the amount of grass jelly I received was not equivalent to the volume difference between the two cups. SERVICE: (5/5) The staff were super sweet, nice, and efficient. You can see them make the drinks in front of your eyes. TLDR// A solid boba spot, and perhaps I'd like the other drinks more than what I tried. I think people who really enjoy strong tea flavors would like this place. Come earlier than I did to ensure the availability of all toppings. I am willing to return, mostly to satisfy my curiosity about what taro yam boba tastes like.

Yelp
Comebuy has grown on me. I didn't really like it when I first tried it but over the years I have come to enjoy it. They offer a DIY menu and freshly brew their teas. My favorite topping is the taro boba. My favorite drink is the oolong soy milk tea. I like their new cups. Plenty to parking but it may not be as close to the stores. Outdoor seating provided in the greater mall area. Quick service. Casual. Please come and create your own adventure.

Yelp
Dropped by this place while spending some time at bella terra! Their interior is nice and the employees also were pretty kind while waiting for me to look over their menu. I saw they had huge glass displays of tea leaves on their walls, which is cool seeing as that they're a very tea forward boba store! I ordered a jasmine green milk tea. Something interesting to note was that I think the employee making my drink pulled a cup of tea, the same way you would pull shots of espresso for a coffee. The green tea was very fragrant, with floral notes and a nice brightness! I liked the taste of my green milk tea a lot, and the boba was soft and had a good chew. Only thing to note is that the milk tea is a bit on the blander side. Their menu also has very limited options and is kinda confusing to read. I would come back to try more of their drinks though!

Yelp
A bubble tea shop in the centre of the food garden! Modern and aesthetic vibe in this grab and go shop. Brandon spoke quickly and promptly while dashing straight into getting my drink ready. The little notes stuck onto the ceramics reminding me of how precious they were- really threw odd the vibe. Ontop of the multiple phrases plastered along the walls, emphasizing "first ever 5 step brewing" "freshly brewed", I was honestly expecting more tea flavor? I opted for their #1. Roasted Oolong with evaporated milk but subbed for soy milk. 30% sugar and less ice. This was mediocre at best. For $6 -I think I tasted more of a watered down soy milk with a sprinkly of tea. I think my expectations were to have a robust flavor of the oolong. The Taro tapioca balls gave a good chew though. Overall, disappointed.

Yelp
This is my second time trying comebuytea and I can attest that you can definitely taste the quality and how the tea is freshly brewed. I really liked the pineapple jasmine green tea. One tip is to order with less sweetness. My friend and I both did regular sweetness and it was a bit too sweet. Service is friendly and quick. We were notified of the drinks that were unavailable once we walked in. There is no seating, take out only.

Yelp
Come Buy Tea is a tried and true boba shop that I've been coming to for YEARS because they offer freshly brewed to order milk teas with homemade toppings. Every drink has a strong tea taste even if you choose to make it a milk tea. I love how they use their special machines to brew the tea to order you can tell that they do it with the right water temperature and duration because it never is bitter. My go to order is an oolong milk teas with whole milk, 0% sugar and brown sugar agar QQ pearls. The brown sugar agar qq pearls are bouncy with a nice brown sugar taste to them. I like how it isn't swimming in a brown sugar syrup but rather the brown sugar is infused with the agar. I haven't been able to find a topping like this anywhere else. If you're interested in the taro yam ball topping it's absolutely delish! Sometimes they do run out of that topping though because they only make a set amount every day. Their menu has a top 10s which is their most popular drinks but then the other part of the menu is build your own style. I really like this because everyone can find a drink that they love whether it's a fruit tea or regular tea or milk tea. This makes comebuytea a place that I can come to time and time again to try new items. I will also note that they are extremely consistent because the drinks taste the same every time. Pro Tip: because the brew the tea fresh to order the drinks do come out sorta warm. I've combated that by asking for Extra ice so even when they put the hot tea into the cup there's still ice and it actually cools the drink. This is absolutely game changing and it DOES NOT water down the drink. The store is super tight and standing room only. But the nice thing is Bella Terra has a great amount of outdoor seating! Parking can be very hectic especially on the weekends so just beware that it may take a bit to find a spot! Overall Comebuytea is one of my top boba shops in OC because of the quality and yumminess of their drinks. I'll be consistently coming back whenever I want a stellar milk tea!

Yelp
I've been coming to ComeBuyTea since the pandemic when I was introduced, and I have yet to take someone here that did not enjoy its deliciousness! This is a Taiwanese concept that has expanded to Hong Kong, Australia, and to Southern California. Aren't we fortunate?! I've tried a number of drinks here, but my favourites are the evaporated milk roasted oolong and guava oolong teas. They are completely different in flavour, but, damn, are they good! Of all the people I've recommended these to or gifted them to, none have given me less than the "Mmm!" and "Ooh!" The evaporated milk roasted oolong tea has a delicious and balanced flavour, with a mild sweetness. It makes it hard to stop drinking it, which also makes me sad when there is nothing left to sip in my cup. The guava oolong tea is one of the most refreshing drinks you could have for a warm day. Some would even say it is a summer drink, but we just had some in October! Still delicious! Every time I drive to Orange County on the 405, I'm tempted to stop by ComeBuyTea. It is too accessible and right off the interstate in Bella Terra! The parking lot can get super busy, though, so parking can be rough. Service is fast and friendly here, and prices are average. When I think of 5-star tea, this is my spot!

Yelp
Please get rid of the mate tea it's so bad I wanna cry. I love their milktea and taro boba tho
google avatar

Yelp
Love the drinks. My favorite is the oolong guava. Pineapple is also a popular drink as well.

Triet N.

Yelp
Alright, let me just say -- I've had way too much boba in my life. From all over OC and LA, I've basically turned boba tasting into a side hobby . So when I found this spot, I wasn't expecting much (English name and not located in Asian area?)... but wow, this one totally caught me off guard (in the best way). Most shops pre-make their milk tea to serve customers faster, but here they actually brew it fresh using a teaspresso machine -- kinda like Chicha San Chen vibes. You can really taste the difference. It's smooth, fragrant, and feels like they actually care about what's going in your cup. I ordered the Roasted Oolong with evaporated milk and taro boba, and honestly, it was chef's kiss. The roasted flavor came through beautifully, the milk made it super creamy, and the taro boba added the perfect chewy sweetness. Every sip was happiness in liquid form What surprised me even more? The price! For the quality you're getting, it's totally affordable. I'd easily rank this among the higher-end tea spots but without the "why did I just spend $10 on a drink" regret . The shop itself has this cute, slightly nostalgic look that gives it charm. The only small downside is that it's take-out only, so you can't really hang out there -- but honestly, the drink is so good you won't even care. Bottom line: if you're a fellow boba addict or just want something that actually tastes fresh, this place is a must-try. I'm already planning my next visit to explore more of their flavors!
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
TL;DR - solid boba stop, nice outdoor seating i come here pretty often, it's always very yummy (but a bit pricy!) it's cool to be inside (nice decorations) & watch the steam, the staff is generally friendly/quiet - my favs: jasmine green milk tea, osmanthus milk tea, alishan oolong tea; all the toppings are average - it can get very busy on weekends, so you might be waiting for 20 minutes outside (no indoor seating) you can also buy little pins & stickers, so that's a fun addition.
google avatar

Angie M.

Yelp
Updating bc we swung by on a Thursday not long after they opened and while they were making a bunch of drinks (probably for an online order), they got right to making ours. I ordered two 2s and my sister got a milk tea. Drinks were made quickly and freshly! Even my mom was impressed. I knocked of a star before for price but three bobas came out to less than three coffees from this morning!
google avatar

Yelp
I've heard about Comebuy Tea in Hong Kong, so when I was in the area and saw that a Comebuy Tea was nearby, I decided to try it out for myself. The Huntington Beach location is in Terra Bella - a little hard to find, but there's plenty of parking. The shop itself is quite small, mainly for ordering and grabbing a drink to-go, but you can sit outside to enjoy your drinks. Aesthetics are quite nice. There's a ton of tea in large canisters against the walls, which actually look super nice. I ordered a jasmine milk tea with organic fresh milk and boba ($5.50 plus $1 for boba). Also ordered an oolong tea latte ($6.50) and the matte tea ($5.50). Out of the three drinks, I actually only enjoyed one. Unfortunately, most were a miss. So Comebuy Tea uses a teaspresso machine to make the tea. I haven't had the best of luck with shops that use this machine. For me, I feel like the tea flavor is really diluted and the drink ends up tasting like bland milk. The jasmine milk tea that I ordered had no jasmine flavor and since I ordered it with less sugar, the overall drink just tasted bland. The only upside was that the boba was cooked well. But for $1 for the topping, I would hope that the boba would be perfectly cooked. The matte tea, made from blackcurrants, had a lackluster flavor. It tasted more like a watered-down hibiscus tea. The only drink that was good was the oolong tea latte. The tea latte comes with fresh milk and cream. The cream on top was quite minimal, but it was tasty. I was also able to get the oolong flavor from the tea. I wouldn't mind ordering this again. tl;dr - eh, didn't enjoy most of the drinks that were ordered. I probably will not be back.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
One star for the large drink size and another for the never dehydrated boba pearls. This is the most disappointing boba I've had in years?! I'm so upset I paid $14 for these. The mango oolong tea tasted like just water and kern Mango juice. The osmanthus oolong milk tea was watered down, and wasn't sweet at all. Only the boba pearls redeemed it, but occasionally you can taste something akin to tap water when you bite into it. They also don't sell loose leaf tea (which I had seen someone on another platform mention they did). Should've just gone with my usual spots.
google avatar

Arielle Glenn F.

Yelp
My bestfriend and I finally tried this place and it has been bookmarked on our lists for a while now - we truly can say that it lives up to the hype. The lychee kefir and konjac jelly were so good. I definitely will be trying another flavor from the kefir series the next time that I come. The interior was very clean, sleek, and unique for a milk tea spot. They have booths or individual seats that you can sit at, which makes this a really good spot to study, do work, or hang out with your friends! It's also cool to see the drinks being made in front of you at the counter. I would recommend getting this drink at a 30% sweetness level next time if you don't like your drinks too sweet. My friend and I got 50% for ours and thought it could still be less. Overall, we will be coming back here again, and am excited for our next visit !!
google avatar

Roger M.

Yelp
Sadly, disappointing. I wanted to give this place a try because I really love the ComeBuy tea places in Taiwan and the one in HCMC, Vietnam as well. I got the guava oolong tea with agar boba as it was one of the popular/recommended drinks and it just tasted like the guava nectar that you can buy from the grocery store but more watered down. No tea taste or flavor at all. I also noticed that they have three teaspresso machines but none of them were being used to make any of tea drinks as they're being ordered like I've seen done at Chicha Sanchen or Formosa Aroma.

Yelp
Cool concept! It gives off the Starbucks Reserve vibes but without the seating experience. Food (4.5/5): - I love the concept. You choose a tea and they brew it fresh to order. They also have an assortment of loose leaves displayed at the back. I went with something basic/familiar, but next time I'll want to try the others. - Tea was very rich and strong, not watery like the majority of milk teas out there. The rich/strongness is what I'm always looking for, and I found it! - If I recall, boba seemed a little bland and too soft, but that didn't bother me as I got to focus on the richness of the tea. Service (4/5): - Standard service. They didn't wipe down my drink after serving, so I had to wipe it down myself, but it doesn't matter much. Ambience (2/5): - So I know it has cool vibes since it's like a Starbucks Reserve, but there's no dine-in seating. It's more like a order-and-go kind of experience. There's maybe a single table outside the store. - I visited when it was 100 degrees+ outside, and there was no climate control inside. I felt really bad for the staff as they were working really hard. Hopefully they could fix that soon? If you're particular about tea strength (like me), this is the place to go. Hopefully they open a location in Gardena or in South Bay so I could visit more often!

Yelp
Don't let the classy interior decor fool you. I got their newly released matcha latte with boba for 8$. At first, it was sweet, but I didn't really mind, I like sweet matcha lattes. However, that's really much all you can taste. You can see the powder swirling around (that's not a good sign), but no taste! It was like I was just drinking milk with simple syrup and boba, no discerning taste of matcha at all. If I paid 8$ for pastel mint green as a "matcha latte," I know I'm already swindled. 3 hours passes (you can see the time in my pics) and you can see the matcha--if there was any to begin with--oxidizing. I honestly believe they added a lot of simple syrup to mask the poor quaility of matcha they put in this drink. And for 8$?!? I've been scammed. It tasted sour and just so awful :( Just go to Taty's for your Matcha, babes.

Yelp
This place deserves all the stars!! Their teas are always consistently good and taste just like what we got when we were in Taiwan earlier this year. Honestly my favorite boba tea place and highly recommended if you like boba drinks with a string tea taste in them.

Yelp
We ordered two drinks: the roasted oolong with the evaporated milk and added the qq topping & the guava green tea (if I am not mistaken). The next day we tried the roasted oolong with soy & othmanthus green tea with milk. Roasted oolong with evaporated milk is really good. The tea fragrance & flavor is strong. We ordered 30% sugar. Just right for me. Less sugar you can test the tea more. Guava green tea is prob used red guava since the drink turned the color to reddish. Tea flavor more than guava. Roasted oolong with soy I would say not as recommended. They do use Asian kind of soy milk which has stronger on the soy tatste. I don't feel it goes well together to be honest. ( again personal reference) They charge $1 for the toppings. Mmmm I would say they gave very small amounts of toppings for $1. It's kinda sad how much of toppings they put in. Taro balls are limited amount. Just be aware. I like the texture of the taro balls. They are delicious.

Yelp
Come buy tea at COMEBUYTEA! This spot is located in Bella Terra and is known for its premium quality loose leaf tea blends. There are a good amount of parking spots and also a parking garage with more spots if needed. For their menu, this spot is very customizable with different milk tea and tea options. We got the house blend milk tea and the osmanthus oolong tea and we could definitely taste the high quality ingredients that they use here. Everything is made to order and it was awesome to see the staff take their time in making the drinks to our liking. Overall, this spot is legit and a gem tucked away in Bella Terra. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. There is no seating inside, so it would be more of a grab and go spot.

Yelp
First time coming here since we were in the area and just stumbled on this place when walking around. Its a nice looking place with nice decorations and very nice workers. We came here a little after 3pm on Sunday afternoon and it wasnt crowded and my order came out quick (only waited for my order in about 5 or so minutes). I ordered the evaporated milk roasted oolong tea with yam taro boba and added the classic boba which was a great combo. The drink itself was really good and 75% sugar level was perfect and the flavor was delicious. I definitely recommend trying this place if you're in the area!

Yelp
Located in Bella Terra right next to the movie theater is comebuytea! I always order the guava oolong tea. The guava flavor is very strong and sweet, so if you prefer your drinks to be less sweet, you can adjust your sweetness level! I like this place, because you can really taste the tea as they brew it fresh!

Yelp
Comebuytea seems to use a lot of natural teas, but I'm not sure why they have so many different tea leaves on the wall when some of them aren't on the menu. My partner was excited to see Pu-erh tea leaves since most places don't have that, but they said they do not sell any Pu-er drinks. Felt like false advertising. The drinks aren't bad, but I'm used to Taiwan's COMEBUYTEA which is everywhere there. They tasted pretty natural (as in loose leaf brewed teas + milk), which I like. Service is quick, there wasn't much of a line when I went and the drinks came out relatively fast. The store is small, it's a grab and go place in Bella Terra. There are a few seats outside.

Yelp
I come here almost every weekend after the gym with friends (at this point the workers might even recognize our large group of 6-8 waltzing in. I love their #1 combo, with the taro balls. If I could just order a cup of those and forego the calories, I'd eat those all day. They're super good and chewy! #2 is also great if you're feeling a lil fat and tubby that day and want to skimp on some calories. And what's not to love about getting freshly pressed tea?! The tea flavor is strong in these drinks, which is why my friends and I love this place! Make sure you ask for their stamp card too if you plan to frequent this place - you get a free drink after buying 7 drinks.

Yelp
ROASTED OOLONG ORGANIC LATTE (75% sugar/brown sugar agar pearls/whole milk): -- The "creamacuccino" is sweet and fluffy and tasty -- sweet 75% is very sweet and I would return to 50% next time -- I forgot to request light ice -- good tea flavor but I forgot to ditch the "latte" factor to increase the boldness of tea flavor -- since that residual creamacuccino was a lot in the cup I added some leftover homemade cold brew coffee at home which brought up the boldness -- the brown sugar pearls add some sweet and are addicting, very tasty in spite of my not being a huge boba fan RATING = A- NOTE: I will need to review my reviews in advance so I veto the "latte" factor next time. They are a little too milky for me and dominate the tea taste a bit too much.

Yelp
Flavorful tea, best taro and yam boba out in orange county. Problem is the workers are very clumsy. They totally forgot to put sugar in 1 of the 4 drinks we ordered. The label all said regular sugar. Hopefully this is just a one time thing and not a reoccurring thing because the tea here is REALLY good.

Yelp
This tea is soooooooooooo addictive!!! I'm the last week I've been here almost every day. One thing I will say is that I asked about the needle tea & was rejected in even getting it as an option because "most people don't like it" that was a let down because I like earthy & floral notes & that's how the lady at the front explained the taste ... Other than that I'm always happy to come in and get a jasmine tea with pineapple!!

Yelp
Ordered the #1 Evaporated milk with roasted oolong milk tea, it was supposed to have the purple yam boba but they had run out for the day already. At first sip it was delicious because of the evaporated milk, but upon further consumption I found that it was very watery and diluted. There was no strong emphasis on tea or milk, it was just kind of a blah. I even got 100% sweetness and everything and it wasn't even that sweet because of the watery-ness. I got agar boba (crystal boba) in mine and it was very standard, while my friend got the regular boba. I know it doesn't advertise itself as honey boba on the menu, but the boba was literally just boiled tapioca pearls with no type of flavoring which was a shocker considering their drinks don't seem that sweet to begin with. With that being said they were chewy so if you're just in it for the texture they got it down right. The place is very nicely decorated, however given all the theatrics with them steaming the tea or milk and the tea pots screaming when it finishes boiling, you'd think the drinks would have a pronounced tea flavor but they don't. The drinks were still drink-able, I just wouldn't come here again even if a friend really wanted to try. Pass!

Yelp
I order the oolong with agar boba. 80% sugar. I didn't enjoy the drink. Does taste like strong tea with sugar. Maybe I should of added cream on top and keep the sugar level regular... I'll need to come back to try different drinks.

Yelp
We came around 30 mins before closing and got the black milk tea and roasted oolong milk tea. This place also pulls their teas espresso style similar to another popular tea store down in Irvine. However, it's much less crowded here and the drinks were pretty good as well. Despite it being near the end of the day, the boba was still very chewy and not hard at all. They give out stamp cards, 7 stamps and you get a free drink! I would definitely come by again even if it's a little out of the way and I'm sad I didn't know about this place when I lived in Huntington Beach.

Yelp
We've walked past this tea shop several times now and have been wanting to give them a try for awhile, but never had a chance because their hours are limited. We were here on a Saturday after and finally had a chance to give them a try because they were actually open. So, something to point out immediately is the way to order is a bit confusing, so we needed some guidance from the cashier. With all the displays of teas, you would think there are plenty of options to choose from, but not really. Unless you know all the types of teas they offer and how the aroma is, it's kind of confusing to know which tea to pick as your "base". Okay, onto the level of sweetness, you do get to pick levels of sweetness, but it's not indicated anywhere and what kind of sweetener they use, so I had to clarify again with the cashier if it was honey or sugar which was confirmed by the cashier that it is sugar syrup. We ended up ordering a floral, 75% sweet milk tea. Even though the breeding process seemed cool to watch, it was a bit gimmicky because the overall flavor wasn't great. I honestly was disappointed with the lack of depth in flavor considering the price point and the display/presentation they were putting on for brewing. Overall, not your typical boba tea place and they do have a higher end feel, but whether I would come here over another boba tea shop? Probably not, simply because you can get a decent boba tea with more flavor and price point elsewhere.

Yelp
I've been here 4 times now! I love their #1, roasted oolong milk tea with the yam boba, which I like more than regular boba! Delicious tea, would highly recommend I have also had the #2 which I didn't personally like but my friend liked it.

Yelp
We were visiting from Vegas and looking for a boba spot and happy we found this place! It was great being able to order ahead and park near the store front to run inside and pick up our order. The tea tasted great and paired well with the taro balls. Would highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Came by to try out their Matcha as Whole Foods Café was closed. The storefront is very nice. I will see the customer service locked as it felt very cold while ordering., and I did have to make a special request of ordering a side of milk for my daughter. Mind you this location in a busy plaza with us mom's frequent and hold events at the plaza. Thankfully, the request was fulfilled, but the business certainly did take advantage of a mother in need of selling a side of milk. I would have been better off ordering a second drink. I totally get that it's a business but over pricing milk for my mom it's a bit outrageous. Aside from that experience the Matcha was OK not quite what I was looking for, but they do have a great selection of bubble tea. My friend got the oolong tea and thought it was good. I think the business adds variety to Bellaterra.
