"Dilworth’s Comet Grill is a twenty-plus-year-old no-frill local’s spot, pairing local wings with local bands that are each unsuspectingly delightful. There’s free live music, spanning from R&B to jazz, nearly every night. With its increasingly rare 2 a.m. closing time, expect to stay out late and don’t forget the fried pickles and pimento grilled cheese.. Still serving as a neighborhood watering hole, Comet oozes with a homegrown and old-school Charlotte grit." - Kayleigh Ruller

It was our first time there. The bartender was a nice guy. Running the bar and taking orders at the tables, he needs a raise. I asked for no salt on my burger and fries because I have high blood pressure and he made sure I got just that. My man and I both had the Comet Classic with fries. Hand patted meat and hand cut fries. Tell the cook he did an awesome job at making sure my meat was fully cooked yet not burnt. If we weren't leaving Charlotte tomorrow, we would come back again.

Google
In all honesty, we had ventured to another restaurant which didn’t sit well with fellow venture seekers (stand or sit in sun) so we pulled out the phones to seek food. Comet appeared and we are SO glad we found. Best chicken sandwich outstanding. Burger actually had flavor along with the other toppings. Fries - fabulous. Great food. Cool looking place. Definitely will go back when in town again….thank you.

Google
Comet Grill delivered an awesome casual dining experience! The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the live music added great energy to the night. The staff was friendly and fast, making us feel right at home. Perfect spot for a laid-back evening with good food and good vibes. Highly recommend!

Google
Stumbled upon this bar and grill as I went to Food Lion during my lunch break and decided a burger and fries is what I wanted for lunch. It is right in the same parking center as a food lion, so there are plenty of parking spots to choose from. The inside is fairly small, but with bar seating and outside seating as well. Went around lunchtime, and it was fairly busy. I placed my Togo order and decided to head to Food Lion to get my shopping done. I will say it did take about 30 or so minutes to get the food, which was a lot but wasn't such a big deal for me. I got the Comet grill burger, which came with bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and pimento cheese. Let's just say it was delicious! The burger itself was just exactly what I wanted. Now I will say that it did get a bit soggy just from the drive there back to my job. Mainly, it was the tomatoes at the bottom that made the bread soggy, so it was a bit messy, but it was delicious, so I did not mind at all. The fries were delicious as well. They had the right amount of crisp to them and were hot and not soggy, thankfully. I would defeintly come back as I wanted to try their wings out.

Google
Comet burger was one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned and juicy. Hand cut fries were amazing. Obviously a local hangout with regulars. Everyone seems to know each other. Makes you feel part of the family.

Google
Love Comet Grill! From the cozy, cool digs to the magically delicious fries, this is the perfect neighborhood pub. Awesome live music several times a week and a good sized patio has tipped the scales to make this my go-to spot.

Caroline W

Google
Local favorite! Simple dive bar with local music some nights. There is seating upstairs and outside so plenty of space. Their wings are our favorite in Charlotte.

Google
Walked in and wasn't greeted, no signs on whether to wait to be seated or to seat yourself. We stood there waiting for someone to tell us something but no one did. We sat down for like 10 minutes, making eye contact with every person who was working and no one came over to greet us. Feels like a small town bar where you aren't welcome if you're not a regular. We left and went to Bad Daddy's Burgers and they were super nice, welcoming fast, and delicious. Comet Grill was super disappointing.

Yelp
I really like this place. My 3rd time.. Each time there's a band. It is small but intimate. And it been around for sooo long. Kinda rare now to have a long standing cozy spot where there's not usually a big turnover on staffs. You see the same faces. Staffs and customers. Beer and drinks aren't that expensive comparing to the TIk Tok "trending" spots in Southend. 3 dishes I had ordered from there and I'll order it again Meatloaf special: 5/5 homemade, juicy and lots of it for $12 I think Lemon pepper wings: 4/5 crispy and very saucy Regular burger: hand made burger patties, not dried out. And I love their fries. Now if you're looking for a spot to quietly talk with friends or a first date. This is NOT it. Maybe during the day for lunch etc. but at night. It usually crowded and have a band playing. So plan accordingly

Zach M.

Yelp
This unassuming dive bar is a great spot to gather some friend, toss back a few cold ones and snag a burger. They have drinks up and down the price menu, with a wide enough menu for everyone. Known for their burgers and fries as well as laid back environment, this is a chill spot to check out.

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Am I missing something here? We stopped by one Sunday at lunch because a friend told us how great the burgers are. The inside is definitely the quintessential neighborhood dive bar which I can get down with, when the time is right. Unfortunately, we're sober right now (I know, big woof) so a round of waters it was. We ordered burgers and I ordered mine cooked medium. I opted for a side salad because you know, side salads make it healthy. The salad was fresh and crispy, I really enjoyed it. But the All American burger... dry and plain as all get out. It felt like eating the most mediocre back yard burger at your neighbor's house down the street. The patty was cooked well done and I'm telling you - it was so dry. The Comet Classic was a little more juicy because of the bacon and pimento cheese but still not great. With the burger craze sweeping the nation - I expected more. I would go back for drinks maybe but I will definitely order something other than a burger.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Our food was very good and we would love to come back here again. There are only about four tables and everything else is at the bar. The bar stayed busy the entire time we were there, and we were glad we were able to find a spot. There was a band that was warming up. We also found out you have to order at the bar, they do not come By to check on the tables. That was our first time, so we are glad they came to check on us, but we found out that does not usually happen. They also had a lot of pimento cheese options which were sooo tasty!!

Michael B.

Yelp
Yes, it's a bar, a very good bar for adult libations and the home (Sorta) of the almighty Lenny Federal Band...since 1996; that's forever in the bar business. However, the Comet Grill is that as well, small grill with a list of of various burgers, burgers with many toppings expected in our beloved South, chili-onions-slaw-mayo-cheese-mustard-mato-bacon-lettuce-jalapenos-BBQ sauce, 1-patty/2-patties/3-patties and for the Veggie minded crowd, black beans, corn, spices of this-n-that. This is a 2-hands on deck burger, I prefer mine medium rare, chili, slaw...burger meat tasty, with multiple juice flowing across your cheek...Oh...the fresh cut fries are almost perfect, no grease oil taste, a light salt added. Again, it's a bar thus....a scratch made top shelf margarita. "Keep On Trucking" Comet Grill...to the Queen City Peeps, please give this establishment your business...

Devin B.

Yelp
I feel like I'm missing something here. 4 stars for this?? I drove 25 minutes because I wanted to try a new good burger spot. Boy was I disappointed. I'm 75% sure these are frozen burger patties being used. Very dry and 0 pink. The fries were good. Oh $15 for a burger of this quality? What in the world?? My wife ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich. She says it was smothered in blue cheese crumbled that it ruined everything else and the chicken was very meh. This was $16!!! We spend $40 for a burger and a chicken sandwich + 2 sodas. I'm not sure how these prices can be justified for a dive bar next to a grocery store. Also just as an fyi there were no servers. I had to order, get drinks, and pay at the bar Personally I'd steer clear unless you are in a hurry and desperately need something to eat

Samantha K.

Yelp
So happy we found this gem! Stopped in with my boyfriend after he had a long night of work. It was a Tuesday around 11:30pm and everything near south end was closed or near closing time. We pulled into the Food Lion parking lot to find just a few cars outside the bar. It was the perfect place to unwind. Not too busy. There are tables outside but the bar inside is quirky and cute. Our bartender Joey was super friendly as well. We will be back for sure!

Shane R.

Yelp
Comet grill is located off of Park Road in the Food Lion shopping center. It's great for a quick lunch or dinner with a friend or two. The menu is pretty basic, but has the standard grill burgers and chicken. It is not a very large venue, so it's likely not the place to go with a large group. They do offer some bar seating with local brews on tap. Overall, I found it average. Decent.

Nino R.

Yelp
For an industry bar, it's top notch. For a local's bar, congrats, you've got a gem. For the occasional passerby, it's worth a visit just for the vibe. The people watching is cool, the service is fast and friendly, the drinks are cold and the food is hot. What more can you ask for? Make comet grill yours...

Yelp
Best burgers! Best chicken sandwich! Hand-cut fries and homemade potato chips. Love this laid back casual bar. Great staff and service.

Noah N.

Yelp
Wings were good, fries were elite. The burgers looked great that came out, on my list for next time

Scott B.

Yelp
Me like! You need a place where you can get a good burger, chat up an authentically friendly staff, and not worry about having to be too hip, pretty, or wealthy. Comet Grill is the place. I tried the Comet Classic :: was there another option for this first timer?! Not massive, but filling. Fries were cut and cooked there which is perfect, though another :45s in the grill basket would have brought the insides perfectly done ... little soft for perfection, but close. I'll be back

Trista M.

Yelp
Love the interior look...great food and staff. Would come back again when in Charlotte!

Theresa W.

Yelp
Great tiny neighborhood bar & grill. The food here is ALL HOMEMADE. Seriously, all of it. They are a simple fare here but make no mistake: the fries are fresh cut, generous & hot. The burgers are done to perfection. Everything is fresh. It's a burger and wings place but oh what a burger/wings they make! Piping hot. Fresh fresh fresh! Famous for their fries! Beers on tap. Beer specials. Very affordable here.

Rod D.

Yelp
Look!!! If anyone else has the award for the best burger in Charlotte clearly they have not been to Comet Grill!!! That is undisputed!!! And get you some of those hand cut, burn yo hand, straight out of the grease fries!!! You can thank me later!!! Great down home atmosphere and great consistent service every time!!!

Julia L.

Yelp
Fantastic Saturday night at Comet Grill. $2 beers, $8 burgers. Live music! Football!

Howard S.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood pub atmosphere despite being in a strip mall. Food was good but not spectacular. Fries were perfect. The outstanding part was the service. Better service than in high priced places! Music was super too.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Amazing flat top grill food, great burger, and excellent live music from local musicians. Friendly crowd...

Lorie R.

Yelp
The food is always great. The beer selection is good and we love the music vibe of the place.

Kenneth B.

Yelp
PGHKEN here......found out about this place 9 years ago......asked the locals. Every city has a kind of Comet Grill......all people most know each other and welcome new custiomer.....Friendliest place in town. Hidden Gem. I love the place and all the staff and customers that I met and now know well. I am enjoying life there. Ken. B.

Bianka P.

Yelp
A few people told me to check this place out because their fries and salad are outstanding. So I placed a to go order with special instructions that the the "blue cheese" be on the side. Well long and behold not only did they put blue cheese crumbles all over they also put some sort of dressing on top that should of been on the side. I didn't even eat that salad but just took the fried chicken off it with hopes to eat that. The fried chicken was ice cold!! Despite the salad mayhem the side order of fries I got was delicious. I wouldn't go back though. I tried calling the restaurant and the line kept saying they were busy so I never got to speak to anyone.

Robert F.

Yelp
Stopped in here with while visiting friends on a road trip. The bartender, Emma, was spectacular. Great selection of local craft beer on tap and fantastic burgers! Only negative was that the French fries were cold.

Veronica P.

Yelp
You know Im getting sick of being asked questions by this app about COVID at every place I go. Seriously folks. It's stupid. The food here is fabulous. Cool place cool people.

Alyssa G.

Yelp
We love the Comet!! It's a go to spot for us. The Charlottean wrap is one my favorite foods and my boyfriend always loves their burger. Queso is solid and award winning fries are delish. Always fast service and good food. We're into it

Kim K.

Yelp
Maybe whoever was cooking the other night was having a bad night. But the burgers were way over cooked. Thrown sloppily into to-go boxes. And like when the patty is small and fat doesn't even fill half the bun. Also charged us for 24 wings and only put 15 in the box?!?! Seriously wtf.

Tazz M.

Yelp
Food Was OK And I Got Little Food ... For Almost 20 BUCKS and It Was Not Worth It ... And My Fries We're Cold ! And The Vibe Was Off Soon As I Walked In Like Certain People Not Allowed . I Didn't Feel Welcomed .

Scott A.

Yelp
Was passing through this side of town on my way to a show. Had read about the awesome burgers and homemade hand-cut fries. Beers were cheap, but the service was very slow. They had a band setting-up and a decent crowd, but the waitress was doubling as the bartender and just could not keep up. Our food came out after about 45 mins. I'll give them credit for the fries! They were the highlight of the meal. Did I say the beers were cheap! I may give them another shot and check out a band....Just don't expect to get in and out.

Gary S.

Yelp
Great Carolina Dogs and fries. Awesome prices and portions. Try the fried pickles for sure.

Mike S.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center next to a food lion offering up live music and great burgers. The beer selection isn't expansive but it is rather cheap and while the band gets rocking the vibe here is very relaxed. Perfect for a low key night out with friends.

Jake L.

Yelp
Food - yummy. Service - Quick + good. Masks - non-existent. The only 2 workers who had masks on were the cooks. No patrons except us wore masks. 2 days after our visit (1/2/22), one in my party tested positive for Covid. Will not be back.

Kylie I.

Yelp
I am a wing fanatic! I love me some chicken wings. I was recommended this restaurant over a year ago as "best wings in Charlotte" and I have been wanting to visit this restaurant ever since. Let me just tell you, I was not sure what to expect. Comet Grill is a little hole in the wall joint. It is quaint and has good vibes. The beer was ice cold.. and the wings... These wings. Did. Not. Disappoint. They were hot, flavorful, crispy and delicious. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite at the bar! Definitely will be back, WITHOUT A DOUBT.

Peter M.

Yelp
Cool little dive next to a Food Lion of all places (of course). The Comet Grill is Charlotte's "upscale" version of the Double Door Inn: good music, good menu (I gotta say their Steakhouse Salad with blue cheese dressing is a killer repeat), good mix of people, and no cover. What to expect: crowded, band plays on the floor by the door (please tip on your way out), lively, $ reasonable, neighborhood feel, funky (without the odors), fun but not outta control. Other than trying to get a seat, what's not to like?

Jeff M.

Yelp
The Comet Grill is a Charlotte legend in its own right! They usually have live music and the sound is always very good. They have a good selection of craft beers on tap. They have one of the best burgers in the city of Charlotte and the hand cut fries are outstanding!

Jeff R.

Yelp
Recently met several friends at this small bar and pub off of Park Rd near Ru Sans (next stopping strip down) on a Tuesday night! At first I didn't see it but it's on the end of one corner of the strip near Food Lion (free parking in the shopping center lot). They had live music this night and one of the people I was meeting wanted to hear them (they were really good). The inside has a small, dark neighborhood pub feel with a long bar and several small tables of to one side (see pic). I did get the feel that many there were locals and regulars. Was surprised to see several good craft beers and while I didn't have any food the others at the table had the nachos and said they really liked them. I really liked the atmosphere and vibe of the place. While the bar staff were extremely busy they never forgot us. I'm planning to come back in the future!

David J.

Yelp
I've been coming to the Comet for years now and it never gets old. This places serves up exceptional bar food with some great service. This hidden gem in Dilworth provides everything you could want from a hole in the wall bar. They have great live music along with some of the best bar food I've had. I seriously wonder why people choose to go to Ed's over the Comet. The food at the comet is much better!

P S.

Yelp
I had their Comet Classic Burger which was cooked just as I asked (medium). It came with some very well-seasoned fries that had just the right amount of grease. My only advice would be to put a dash less salt in the fries, but otherwise they were still delicious. There aren't many great food options in the area so it's great to know this is just a short walk away.

John H.

Yelp
With Yelp, nothing really stays a "secret" anymore... and I'm sad in writing this review since this place is definitely one of those "secrets" I would love to keep to myself. I didn't even know this place existed until I was invited to a function here and I looked it up.... "Bar/grill in a strip mall?" was my first thought. I think the reason why this place gets over looked is that it is really easy to miss unless you are looking for it. It doesn't have the "prime" corner location that Ed's Tavern does that is nearby, but I think that adds to the charm of this place... feels like you uncovered something when you get here. Super impressed with what they have managed to fit into this space... there's a small upstairs loft area, large bar that takes up most of the first floor, and a couple tables tucked away under the lofted 2nd story. Really relaxed and friendly environment here. The servers and staff are really just chill.... they make you feel like a regular. A couple times I've been here and they have live music! What's great is that the stage is right next to the front door so if you aren't prepared... walking into the place while the band is going gives you an instant "backstage pass." Combined with their intimate space, it can get fairly loud in here (just to warn you), but the energy of the band and the overall good time everyone is having is infectious here. I have not sampled their food, but all of it looks amazing from what I can see... The most amazing part is that this food comes out of this tiny kitchen (which, to me, makes it even more amazing). I just love it when places really find their niche and do it well - and the Comet is no exception. I know Charlotte is a fast-growing place of trendy restaurants and bars, but I hope the Comet sticks around since we need more "original", places here in the area.

Jason L.

Yelp
This eclectic little pub in the Bi-Lo parking lot is super tiny and sometimes you really have to beat the rush to do lunch or dinner. Everybody in here knows everybody in here. How can you not... They're closed on Sundays but for pub grub it's lighter fare than most and worth remembering to check out the rest of the week. I can't believe they have live acts in this tiny space. But I'm pretty sure they have repaired the air conditioning since some of the other reviews on here. Their ads in the loafer say under new management too.

Chris S.

Yelp
Not exactly divey, but definitely not upscale. Somewhere in the middle sits Comet. After meeting a client in the same shopping center, I was craving a quick lunch to-go (always on the move!) and I decided on Comet as they were listed cheap and positive-reviews on Yelp! Their menu on Yelp and on their site has a reuben and it caught my eye, unfortunately the girl on the phone said they haven't had it for months. A shame, I was really craving corned beef! I decided on the steakhouse burger and a side of potato salad. Picked up right on time and out the door I go. Patty was awesome! Moist, lightly toasted, good size. The portobello mushrooms were full of flavor, I've been to places where I swear their mushrooms came out of a can, not the case here. I opted to sub the horseradish for ketchup since I can't stomach it, all of the toppings were perfect portions. The potato salad was a bit too "briney" and it hinted to pickles being a key ingredient with a slice on the top of the scoop. However after a bite or two of the burger the potato salad harmonized enough to be enjoyable. Not my favorite but better than others! Will return, would love a seat at the bar as the grill is directly behind. I like being able to see the food being cooked! Comet is a solid choice in the Dilworth/South CLT area!

Jennifer H.

Yelp
My daughter would walk past this on our walks, but I don't really enjoy "bar food" so we never went in. One of our favorite places to eat was Persu-asian in the same strip. We walked down on Saturday to Persu-asian only to find they were now not opening for lunch on the weekends. Disappointed, we went into Comet Grill. As far as bar food goes, Comet Grill is about the best you can get. It was excellent. I was able to get a salad with fresh veggies. My daughter ordered a hot dog off the kid's menu. Service was friendly and food was great. Saturdays they have a cheeseburger for $5. I don't eat meat, but I would like to try a veggie burger at some point. I'm very happy we decided to give this place a try.

Rosita D.

Yelp
So I've seen this place often going to the Food Lion right across from it but it wasn't until my friend suggested that we go for lunch that I finally came. It's a cool little restaurant that has that neighborhood bar feel with lots of regulars. Upon entering you sit yourself either at the bar or one of the tables available (only a few tables), but I did see an upstairs that may have more sitting not quite sure since I didn't make it up there. We were greeted promptly with waters and given menus. They have a good variety on their menu mostly bar food like burgers, sandwiches, wings, and salads. I opted for the 6 buffalo wings and hand cut fries. The wings were good but I wasn't a fan of the buffalo sauce they used plus it didn't stick to the wings so it was kind of pointless to be on them and could have just came on the side for dipping. The fries on the other hand were so good and seasoned perfectly, I could have just kept ordering them. I will definitely be back tho to try out some other menu items and to get my fry fix in.

Asuka N.

Yelp
I've been to Comet a couple times now, although both at off-peak times - once for a weekday lunch, and the other for a nightcap during the early part of the week. The bar has a bit of character to it, but it's pretty quiet when it's sparsely populated. There's a solidly-sized bar to congregate at, some booths on the ground floor, and what looks like an upper level that I haven't made it to yet. The folks tending bar are pretty friendly, and the drink selection has a mix of some local crafts (a big fan of the Legion Juicy Jay IPA currently there) and your usual bigger-label lagers. The food here is your standard-issue bar grub to keep you filled while you are keeping the liquid flowing...the fries are pretty standard, the fried pickles are definitely on the spicier (and hotter, temperature-wise) side, and the burger fills you but isn't super-memorable. The salad I had last time was a pretty hearty amount, and adding a protein in was a good call to add a little bit more to it. In all, this is a nice spot that's a bit outside of the heart of downtown Charlotte but is a casual hang that is solid for folks who live closer to this part of town. I wouldn't make it a regular habit to always come to Comet, but it's a good spot to have a drink while catching some sports on the TV.

Steve B.

Yelp
Went to the Comet for some live jazz believe it or not. The group Jazzology sounds great. They are a little lite on seating but was cozy. The draft IPA selection could use some sprucing up but overall very friendly and attentive service. This could be a a diamond in the rough. A little disappointing they were out of some beer and food selections

Eric F.

Yelp
Best grilled buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had. Amazing fries too. Attention to detail. They care

Kay N.

Yelp
This is a small local bar/casual establishment. We love the Comet because of the FREE GREAT local music each night. (Of course, please give the musicians an generous tip.) The food is good, especially the burgers. This is a bar that gives BACK to the community, with many benefit performances, pop up artists events, etc. The service is great, but sometimes the Comet is so crowded you may have to wait a bit. Love the patio and the loft area upstairs which overlooks the bar and music. We are especially fond of Tuesday nights with the Red Rocking Chair,a Bluegrass/Americana Band, and Saturdays with the $6 Comet Burgers. (I do wish the music would start each night at 8:30, or its past my bedtime : )

Christy C.

Yelp
I've visited Comet Grill NUMEROUS times...I just never wrote a review. If I lived closer, I would definitely become a regular. I'm giving 5 stars, because the food is excellent and the service is spectacular. I'm fond of this place because a friend of a friend planned a CIAA party here. Yes, it's small, but the atmosphere was out of this world! The food is always tasty and the drinks are plentiful. I try to order something different, but I'm a creature of habit and I have to have the fries. It's no wonder they were voted Best French Fries in Charlotte! They are cut with the skin on and fried to a deep golden brown. The chicken tenders are juicy and flavorful. The buffalo shrimp, burgers, wings, chicken sandwich, veggie burger are delicious too! I have introduced many of my friends to Comet Grill and they can't wait to return. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience here...especially when the one cook recognizes me and says "Hello there Beautiful...haven't seen you in a while!" I'm truly a fan and will continue to patronize this fabulous establishment.

Kevin L.

Yelp
I have found my new local bar. One of my buddies told me... Kev, you gotta try out Comet Grill, they have the best burger in Charlotte. To which I replied, "whoa, bold statement my friend, bold statement." I have now made it a plan to try as many burgers in Charlotte and to narrow down my favorites. I have to admit, Comet is on my short list with their Comet Classic. By far the best burger I've had in Charlotte with Pimento Cheese. The best part was that they don't over-do the whole deal. It's a normal size serving, perfect ratio of toppings to meat, with a great quality bun that isn't froo-froo gourmet baked bread. It's just a great burger sticking to the basics. That's what makes the perfect burger after all. My bride quickly jumped to the conclusion it is her favorite burger, but her obsession with great fries is what sealed the deal. They have a great fresh cut fries that just don't disappoint. Twisting her arm to make this a family staple is going to be so easy! The buffalo shrimp are simply the best I've ever had. Not too much breading, fried perfectly, tossed in a sauce that perfectly compliments the shrimp. Comet is less than a mile from my new place so this is a neighborhood gem that is sure to be my favorite 'watering hole'. I'm from the Boone area so the service, chill vibe, great food, and cheap beer brings me back to the days of the smaller town with a great little bar. They are also said to have great music there so I'm excited for late night adventures!

Brandon F.

Yelp
Nice place. It's nice to go to a bar with a different crowd when you're used to the snobby people that live around here. Customer service is on point. Bunch of nice that mind their business, but will talk with you if you want. Literally fell into this place when my girlfriend sprained her ankle on the sidewalk and all the customers were asking if she was ok. Decided to come in after we sat down to let her heal. Great spot.

Yelp
Pimento cheese + delicious burger + flat top grill = LOVE I've been meaning to grab lunch from Comet Grill for some time now as it's known as the super friendly neighborhood bar and grill. It's nestled in the shopping center off of Park Rd., right next to the Bloom. The bar itself has a pretty comfy layout including a decent sized patio, the bar and a few tables downstairs and cute little second level. I will note that the second level has two long tables bordering the overlook. These tables would be perfect for flip cup. Just sayin'... Hubs and I rolled into Comet Grill for a late lunch and right off the bat I was super impressed with their specials. Not only do they offer a great menu of lunch specials for $7 each, but they also have fantastic daily drink specials. I ordered the American Burger lunch special - a well sized burger finished off with my choice of toppings (pimento cheese, natch). Our waitress was really friendly and offered great suggestions even though she's a vegetarian. That's service, folks. My burger special was delish and came with a small side of fries. The fries were well seasoned, but next time I'm going to ask for them crispy. My bun was a little dry but it was really no big deal to me as the burger itself was great. The pimento cheese is an absolute must here and I really want to try their pimento grilled cheese during the next go around. Oh I'll be back Comet Grill...I'll be back really soon and hopefully check out some live music too!
