Absolutely Disgraceful – Avoid This Hotel at All Costs||||If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at Comfort Inn on 1100 Banksville Rd in Pittsburgh was hands down one of the most infuriating, unprofessional, and disrespectful hotel stays of my life. What happened here should be a red flag to anyone considering staying at this location.||||Let’s start with the theft. During my stay, my peacoat—an expensive, sentimental item—disappeared from my room. I immediately reported it to the front desk, expecting at least a show of concern or an attempt to resolve the situation. Instead, I was met with dismissiveness, condescension, and outright denial. No one took accountability, and no serious effort was made to investigate or recover my stolen property. It was swept under the rug like it didn’t matter, and that tells me all I need to know about how this location values its guests.||||The staff here, frankly, have no understanding of customer service. I was spoken to rudely, brushed off, and treated as though I was the problem for daring to raise concerns. There was an ongoing blackout in the area during my stay, and instead of offering support or fair accommodation, the hotel jacked up their prices, gouging customers in the middle of a power crisis. It was shameless. While the lights were out and temperatures dropped, they saw a business opportunity rather than a chance to support the community. This level of greed is unacceptable and downright unethical.||||The rooms themselves were mediocre at best. Dingy halls, outdated decor, and a musty smell that greeted me the moment I opened the door. Cleanliness was questionable, and the comfort level—ironically—was nonexistent. And let’s be honest: no amount of clean sheets can make up for theft and a total lack of human decency.||||This establishment has zero hospitality and even less integrity. The way I was treated—like a nuisance rather than a paying guest—is appalling. And if management reads this, know that your reputation is bleeding. Word of mouth is powerful. People deserve to know what kind of operation is being run here.||||I travel often, and I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels over the years, but this one stands out in the worst possible way. Save yourself the headache, the disrespect, and the risk. There are far better, safer, and more professional places to stay in Pittsburgh.||||Comfort Inn on Banksville Road is a disgrace to the Choice Hotels brand—and a liability to any traveler with expectations of dignity and fairness.
