The Salt Line Opens in Arlington for New England-Style Seafood | Eater DC

"An international food hall called Commas plans to open in downtown Silver Spring next spring on the second level of Ellsworth Place, and the 8661 Colesville Road space will fit 12 to-be-named chefs, makers, and restaurateurs showcasing cuisines from Ethiopia, Korea, Malaysia, El Salvador, Italy, and New Jersey." - Tierney Plumb

We tried J&J Mex and tried the Pastor tacos and Barbacoa quesadilla. Both were really good. Also tried the Philly Cheesesteak which was amazing! Overall atmosphere for the soft opening was good. The customer service and food quality was amazing and hoping it stays consistent once it gets busier.

Stopped for a quick lunch - ended up going to Momo Hub- Nepalese food. Outstanding meal - got the classic steamed chicken dumplings. Fresh, hot, just spicy enough and just delicious. Highly recommend. Did take about 10-15 min, which is fine but didn’t anticipate that. Also way overcharged for 16 oz bottle of Diet Coke— $4. But delicious overall. They probably should be reviews for individual restaurants there rather than one food hall in general.

Great spot to grab some food and chill. Outside food is welcomed, and a water fountain is available. I HIGHLY recommend #Tatos @CravingTatos their fries are awesome.

It's a food hall with independent vendors & a bar. If visiting: 1. 3rd level of Ellsworth Place. 2. As of June 2025, 3 vendors (tex-mex, Nepalese & potato) are open 3. It has a water station & restroom 4. Bonus - it has a bar inside Plenty of seating.

Good food. The atmosphere is dimly lit so it feels a little sleepy. There was an event also and the music was too loud.

I went to J&J Mex Taqueria and the food was really fresh. I got and loved their birria + lengua tacos. Might be my new fave spot for Mexican food! 😊

Loved the new vendors and stalls! Some are still opening, but what's there so far was pleasant. We loved the unique bathroom situation as well as the free sparkling water. Only downside is the location for real. Walking through chaos, religious rants, and police presence takes away from an amazing place. Hoping the area itself gets better, but doubt it. Definitely worth a try though! We had Tatos and Momo Hub and definitely suggest it!

Visited for the first time during lunch on a weekday. It was practically empty with only about half the vendors open. The space is not very airy and the stalls are weirdly tucked away. I thought there were only a handful of vendors until I meandered through a bit.
