Best Dallas-Fort Worth Food Halls | Eater Dallas

"This is not the average food hall—it’s a concept where you order up your food and grab it in one spot rather than see the kitchens in action. So, perhaps it’s the food hall of the future? They’ve added some outdoor seating for folks who want to hang around and not just grab their bowl to go, upping the ante on creating an atmosphere for a summer hang. And you can order up anything your heart desires, from salads to Mediterranean food to sushi." - Courtney E. Smith

“Bowls of Rice” Our food was outstanding! So delicious! We ordered a Crispy Orange Chicken Rice Bowl with butter fried rice. My husband and I shared the bowl, and we still had leftovers.

Google
Pretty cool concept. Multiple restaurants that have food here. You can order on the kiosk as well. Parking can be a little wonky bc of the location but it's pretty fast.

Very nice concept! The 369 Brazilian Sandwich was sooo perfect! 100% recommend it! I got the X-chicken, soo good!

Tanpopo Japanese Kitchen: Gyoza was delicious and crispy when I got home. They were the first thing I opened. I also got the Salmon Bowl, Miso Soup & extra Sushi Rice! 😋 It was all very tasty and the Salmon was a fair portion for the price! Nice Cuts of Salmon, Avocado & Sushi Rice all came together very well!

I was starving & came across this in Google. I was shocked to realized I’ve ordered many of the spots before. Today was two new ones. Bonus; two for one, stop!!!! My meze plate was super yummy. Had an impressive amount of fried cauliflower. Total win! But!! Can I take a moment of silence for the tea? One, an impressive size. Two, incredible flavor! I will be ordering so many more from here!!!

First visit and had no idea what to expect. Came in and ordered The Breakfast Brothers. And omg i was so impressed. I have been just savoring my food throughout the day. This food gave me the full sleepy feeling that you get when you eat at grandma's house. And no matter what you have a taste for there is a restaurant to fill that crave. From Asian to Jamaican cuisine and everything in between. Planning a date night and dont crave the same foods. Come here. You wont be disappointed. Fast Service and orders are correct. I heard one order that was incorrect and it was caught and corrected before the customer came to puck it up or complain. Thats my kind of service. I will definitely wait patiently if you are correcting my order before i can complain about it. Thats a good look!

Review for 2 Compas Kitchen: I've had the pleasure of trying both the pastor and birria tacos from 2 Compas Kitchen at their Arlington location and their new spot, and I can confidently say these are the best tacos around. The flavor is consistently amazing no matter which location you visit, making 2 Compas Kitchen a reliable go-to for taco lovers. The pastor tacos are a perfect blend of savory and sweet, with tender, marinated pork that’s cooked to perfection. The pineapple adds just the right touch of sweetness, while the cilantro and onions bring a fresh, crisp contrast. Every bite is a flavor explosion, wrapped up in a warm, soft tortilla. Their birria tacos are equally impressive, with rich, flavorful beef that's been slow-cooked until it practically melts in your mouth. The deep, savory broth that comes with the birria tacos is perfect for dipping, adding an extra layer of indulgence to the experience. It's hard to find birria tacos this good, and 2 Compas Kitchen has truly nailed it. What makes it even better is how convenient their new location is for those in the Dallas downtown area. Whether you're in Arlington or Dallas, you can expect the same top-notch taste and quality. If you're in the mood for some incredible tacos, the pastor and birria tacos at 2 Compas Kitchen are a must-try!

If you are a foodie, this is your spot. There are so many restaurants to choose from. My faves are as follow: The Taco Kitchen—they have the best Birria/Quesabirria in all of West Dallas. They have other items you should definitely check out too though. If you like spicy, you must try the jerk salmon tacos—it’s cooked to perfection and it is spicy, so if you like a kick, this is a MUST. They are known for their 3-layered ground beef taco which is fye too. You can’t go wrong with any of their food. My next favorite is the Krazy Bowls. As you can see, I love jerk. Try their Jerk Salmon Bowl. Thank me later. And…if you like shrimp n grits, those are on point too. They have really great bowls. Oh, they just added birria ramen bowls too…so so yummy. That consommé is so good you can drink it. Okay…now Kajun Korner has catfish n cheesy grits and they did not miss the mark. I love this combination. But they also serve catfish and shrimp dinners too. And if you’re vegan like my daughter, check out The V Kitchen. It is vegan/vegetarian, so make sure you check for dairy is some items. But overall, the plantbased meat they use is seasoned very well. They have a Mexican flare to most menu items. The facility itself is very welcoming with limited seating inside/outside. I see folks eating in their cars. Why not!?!? Overall, I’ve been coming here for several months now and you are sure to find something for everyone.

Yelp
I recently tried the egg rolls here, and I have to say, they were genuinely delicious. The quality and flavor was good. However, the pricing is completely out of line. We paid $20 for just three egg rolls, which is way over market price and completely excessive, Unfortunately, because of the pricing, I will not be returning.

Yelp
Getcha Roll On = Flavor Bombs! I tried the TRO and every roll was a hit! The Tha Rolltel (Rotel + Doritos crunch) = cheesy heaven . The Pretty Boy Tony (pizza egg rolls) tasted like crispy pizza perfection with marinara for the win. And the Hot Shots (buffalo chicken) brought spicy heat cooled by creamy buffalo ranch . Crispy, saucy, cheesy, spicy -- ALL the good stuff rolled up just right. This ghost kitchen is a must-try .

Yelp
Got Tha Heavyweight during Thanksgiving time. Hot Shot, Tha Soul Roll, Collard Green Egg Roll, Holiday Roll, Tha Yankee, tha Peaches and Dream, Miss Peaches, I forgot the last roll. But all of them were delicious. 10/10. Honestly if they could just make a plate of dressing, collard greens, Mac and cheese, and yams with a side of that giblet gravy, I would take that too. If you don't want a big box, I recommend the Tha Soul Rolls, Hot Shots, and Tha Yankee (as a sweet roll). I have been back since this and tried Tha Corner Boy and Tha Side Chick, they were just okay. Can't wait to try new flavors they create. Maybe a jerk roll, pizza roll, or a chicken tikka masala roll.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for soooooooo long now! I'm glad I was finally able to try it! Because I wasn't able to pick one I decided to order the Pick 3 which allows you to pick 3 different rolls. I picked Tha Soul Roll, the hot shot and under the sea. My favorite was under the sea which has spinach, shrimp , lump crab and cheese I believe! It was the perfect combination! Followed by the hot shot which reminded me of shredded buffalo chicken dip or mix. It was not too hot and was good. Tha soul roll was my third choice, I wanted to deconstruct it and eat my yams and macaroni together and eat my greens separate like I normally do! Combining them all richer isn't my usual favorite! My friend also ordered the peach cobbler roll, the cheesecake peach cobbler was sweet while the normal peach cobbler roll was less sweet.

Yelp
I've been several times and it never disappoints! The mixed savory soul rolls are always freshly made, hot, and full of flavor. Definitely a must try spot if you're craving something satisfying! * ghost kitchen so you don't see anybody so you don't see how food is prepped but I keep going back!

Yelp
I found Getcha Roll On in one of the ghost kitchens around town - Commerce Fork Food Co. I really like the concept, but the food took way too long to come out. It was 45 minutes from the time I ordered until the food was brought out. They went over the original pickup window time. Their rolls are Soul food ingredients like Mac and cheese, collard greens and yams all rolled up and fried like an egg roll. I got 3 Soul Rolls and they came with hot sauce. They had good flavor but a bit greasy. I ordered the peach cobbler cheesecake rolls and they are reallllly sweet. I couldn't really eat much of this flavor. I also ordered their Roll-Aid, which is basically tropical punch koolaid. I ordered no-ice in the drink due to my long drive home. They left so much drink out of the cup that I had to ask about it. The lady replied that that's how much they give when you order no-ice. Who does that?? lol What a way to put a bad taste in a customer's mouth. The small drink is already $3.50 and to receive less bc I ordered no-ice is craaazy. Not worth it. I will not be back. The rolls are expensive and they cut corners.

Yelp
This place popped up on my Instagram randomly one day and I had an opportunity to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I make these kinds of egg-rolls at home often but I don't always feel like making them. These were super good so now I have a place to come when I'm feeling lazy but want that at home taste. Yayyyyy! I got 3 egg rolls to start. The buffalo chicken, the fresh prince aka the Philly cheesesteak (their seasonal menu item), and the soul roll without yams. First and foremost, ALL the egg rolls were hot fresh and crispy. Okay now for the reviews: The buffalo chicken was great! It comes with a Buffalo ranch sauce which was a simple yet perfect accompaniment. It was creamy, flavorful and had a slight kick. 10/10 The Fresh Prince, I didn't enjoy as much. But I give grace because Philly cheesesteak eggrolls are hard to make (speaking from experience). I was missing peppers, onions and that creaminess that makes a Philly, a Philly. It just tasted like dry steak meat and shredded cheese. I hope they play around with the ingredients on that one more before they bring it back. 6/10 The soul roll? 10/10. I was shook!!! The greens were great. The mac and cheese was actually so good! I would eat it as a standalone. And the turkey meat from the greens came in handy because I didn't get yams in mine. You can order either a hot honey sauce or hot sauce with it. I got the hot honey and it set the whole thing off! It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I think about this one often. Lastly, I got the roll aid, which was a cherry koolaid and it actually stole the show lol. It was sooooo so good! I haven't had koolaid in a minute, let alone one that good in a while. Add it to your order. It's worth the extra $3-$4. I look forward to returning! What I like about this place is that they have different flavors every month in addition to their staples. So I am eager to try what else they have to offer. This place is a ghost kitchen so you go in and pick up your food in an assigned locker. While you wait for your food there are some indoor and outdoor seats and a tv to watch. My order took a little longer, but it's because the owners realized that they gave me the soul roll with yams and took it back before I could get it to ensure I had the correct order, which I appreciated. Give this business a try!

Yelp
Y'all... GETCHA ROLL ON is the TRUTH!! Everything I tried was packed with flavor and made fresh to order. The egg rolls are a creative twist on soul food--crispy on the outside and bursting with juicy, seasoned fillings inside. You can literally taste the love in every bite! Customer service was top-notch, and the staff made sure I felt welcomed and taken care of. Whether you're craving something savory, cheesy, or sweet, this place delivers in every way. 10/10 recommend. This is one of those spots you'll keep coming back to!

Yelp
Everyone I have waited two hrs gotten to the front of the line for them to be out of soul rolls I will not be trying in the future just a waste of time

Yelp
I went to Foodieland today and stood in the very long line of hungry customers! I must say it was well worth the wait. I had the soul roll and one other one. Both were amazing. Yes, it is likely if you don't get your order in early enough they may run out of your favorite egg roll. That is a good sign of how great these food items are so hats off to the creater!! They are also reasonably priced.
