I had a very disappointing experience at this coffee shop. I ordered an egg and croissant, and it was incredibly oily and tasted terrible, all I tested was vinegar. I used lots of napkins for every single bite. On top of that, we got the private room for a meeting, only to find that there wasn’t a single electric outlet available. How does a place meant for meetings not have basic necessities like power outlets? When I complained to the manager, he just looked at me! Definitely not coming back.

Staff has always been very sweet, just like their sweet treats. I loved trying out the different seasonal croissants, pumkin, and pistachio in autumn! The chocolate chip cookies are massive and really tasty, very nice, warmed, and worth the weight of chocolate. It's good for a gloomy day to warm your spirit. The coffee was nice. It's not crafted coffee, but it kept me going throughout my day. Both sourdough loaves they have available are delicious, and I ended up buying one for making breakfast for my mothers birthday. And she loved it! Having fresh bread in your home is a luxury I've enjoyed every time I stop by and pick up a loaf. I also enjoy the cinnamon bun roll thing. It's really good.

Google
I was really looking forward to fresh pastries when I visited this store at 9am on a Saturday. Unfortunately, both the chocolate croissant and the almond croissant were dry and tasted like they had been made the night before. It’s such a letdown, especially when you expect the freshest items early in the morning. I would have hoped for a higher quality on a Saturday morning, considering the time. Definitely not what I was expecting.

Google
The pastries looked great but seemed a little stale. The person working the counter seemed shy and did not address us. After ordering we sat on a sofa that was full of crumbs. They never called us once our coffee was ready. I went up and found it, but it was missing the blueberry topo Chico that I had ordered.

Google
Met with a friend for lunch here and we really enjoyed it. While they provide a lot of dairy free beverages, the food and pastry menu lacks the same diversity. I was able to have a gluten free dessert. The honey lavender cheesecake was rich and fresh. For lunch I had the chicken Caesar wrap. It was good and light but the bacon bits tasted a little tough. My son had the bacon egg and cheese croissant, he enjoyed it but I think the croissant may have been toasted a little too long because he had crumbs everywhere. Overall we enjoyed our experience and it wad great. There was a young lady with colorful pink and purple hair that was helpful with the menu and greeted us when we came in.

Google
We’re regular customers at this location and I have to say that service has gone down the hill to worst. Orders are taking forever and when “ready” they don’t have all the order complete because of missing items. 25 minutes waiting for 2 lattes and a premade brownie that wasn’t even in stock is simply disrespectful and they don’t even care to apologize. When asked to speak with the manager about not just this last situation but to pretty much letting her know that service hasn’t been good the last couple of times and it’d be good to improve she just says “ok” and gave us her back. I wasn’t even asking for an apology but feedback is always good. Poor service, lattes are great though

Google
Wide open atmosphere here, there’s also a separate private seating space that you can reserve. The desserts/pastries all look sooo good. Some are and some are just ok. My coffee was great

Google
My wife and I just stopped by while walking our dog this morning. She went in to get two cups of coffee, while I stayed outside with our dog. Apparently they are "changing their point system", but 30 seconds before she came out, I received a text message from my bank asking about a small charge (less than a cup of coffee) from an unknown source. I declined and when I got home and logged on, there was a much larger charge. 45 minutes later (tracking charges online, waiting on the 800 customer service number, talking with the rep), my card is shut down and a new one mailed to me. I had better ways to spend my morning this morning.

Yelp
I tried the common bond's chicken salad croissant for the first time for lunch and it was very delicious. We usually go to the common bond at heights, but we tried the one in marquee complex. Chicken salad croissant was very very delicious. We also bought chocolate chip cookie, morning bun and our favorite almond croissants! The Common Bond at marquee has very open style interior and also has outside seating that you can enjoy the weather. For brunch or breakfast, this is an excellent choice and if you go there try chicken salad croissants!

Yelp
Nice convenient location right off the freeway. There is plenty of parking and seating. I went with some friends. The Hibiscus lemonade is so refreshing and a perfect drink to beat this summer heat. My friend got the salted caramel latte, and they said it was sweet and delicious. It's a nice place to grab a bite and a refreshing drink, and they have plenty of seating and are not too loud, so a nice place to work as well.

Yelp
This place is highly disorganized. If this were my first impression of common bond I would not be back. I ordered online with 35 mins left in my drive. Upon arrival no one at the front desk. A mek confused girl sees me waiting and tells me my order is not ready. After I finally got my order, it was wrong! Paid extra for items that were missing. My chocolate chip cookie was physically cold. Like day old cookies. My egg sandwich was equally disappointing. The egg patty was odd texture -premade rubbery egg. Gross. I've been to several other locations and was always impressed. This place doesn't even look appealing inside. Not recommended

Yelp
Ventured outside of the loop. Running errands, and needed bread the drive-through was chuffed. I went in. Great service Monday morning fully stocked great service, nice ambience. The clerks outstanding( wish I could remember the brothers name)! Sourdough so good. A definite first choice.

Yelp
Speedy service and ample seating. I came here to study for a couple hours, but couldn't find a seat with an outlet so i'm hopeful they'll add more outlets in the near future. It wasn't too loud in the place and my coffee (vanilla iced latte) was pretty decent. Would come here again to try other menu items

Yelp
Met a few colleagues for an afternoon meeting - would definitely recommend for that or if you're looking for a place to work on your laptop. Had a slice of the lavender honey cheesecake - SO DELISH!

Yelp
Always fresh pastries with great people servicing you early mornings! This place offers plenty of working space.

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because the Texas Pecan Nitro was unique and delicious. --- --- --- If I go to a coffee shop and nitro is on the menu, my order is decided. I was on the fence about visiting Common Bond after having lunch next door, but I looked on the menu and found a "Texas Pecan Nitro" and the debate was over. There was a drive thru and no one was in line. The time between "May I take your order" and the coffee hitting my lips was no more than 45 seconds. And more importantly, when it hit my lips, I let out an involuntary "OoOoOo". A lot of nitro's are similar to each other. And don't get me wrong, I love most of them. But it was nice to have something a bit different here. The flavor was very pecan heavy, which was nice. I can't say I would *prefer* it over others, but variety is fun. And this delivered variety. And most importantly, caffeine. I saw multiple Common Ground shops during the afternoon, so now I'll know to stop when I run into one in the future.

Yelp
Great spot to drop in for quick coffee or a pastry. Flavors are on point. It's a welcome addition to a shopping center in need of new tenants and some upgrades.

Yelp
One of my favorite bakery. I used to go to the Montrose bistro but it started to get so crowded that the lines outside would stretch enough to hold us out for even as long as an hour so I have stopped going there. When I noticed Common Bond in the suggestions for coffee place, I almost jumped up my seat and when I saw those familiar shades of pastel green, yellow, white and teak shaded, heaved a sigh of relief and couldn't wait to come in. This is a new location, about 1.5 months old only, and it is an 'On-the-go' concept, so we don't have soups, and fries and the like. The taste and quality stands without compromise. Apparently they custom- made a coffee for my partner, that made him very happy. We split a veggie sandwich, it was light and oh' so fresh ! There is big huge muffin staring out of a bag but am too full to try it. It is Common Bond style do upscale you can say and with everything made fresh, it is reasonable for the quality maintained. The staff is very friendly. They have a drive through too. And registering your phone number into the loyalty program will earn you loyalty rewards

Yelp
Brand New Location, I like this space. Open with lots of seating. I guess timing was off. Unfortunately, the selection was limited. But I will be back. Service was very friendly and they said they would be ready for the weekend. As the Terminator said... I'll be back.
google avatar

Anne M.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! Common Bond is one of the best-ever coffee places in ALL of texas, but now you can get it through the drive-through!!! AMAZING~ It is SO nice! The lavender latte is the best. Now gluten-free things are hard to find here, however, the macaroons are to die for and SO good!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
I was excited to know Common Bond on the go had a drive thru. I guess I didn't understand the concept when I arrived. I usually attend the location in Montrose. Please keep in mind this is a condensed Common Bond, they do not have the same menu items as the brasserie. If you're on the go stop by and grab a coffee.

Yelp
Very delicious hibiscus lemonade and pastries- the atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are incredible!
google avatar

Casey C.

Yelp
I stopped in the other day for a much needed latte! I also picked up a chocolate croissant. The croissant was cold and I was already back in the car before I noticed or else I would have asked them if they could warm it up. I love the interior! It offers so much natural light and there are several seating options. Also... they have a drive thru!!
google avatar

Henry L.

Yelp
Not super knowledge on the Common Bond franchise, but their coffees are consistent and delicious. Didn't try their food, but had a good number of options. Both times I visited on the weekends, the place wasn't busy at all. Everything was clean and organized. Definitely a nice place to lounge around.
google avatar

Andrea A.

Yelp
Food was yummy and staff was helpful! Only giving 4 stars because there was no changing table in either bathroom. There were high chairs available which means they anticipate small kids- just didn't anticipate all of those needs.
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
Nice big areas for our large family. Food is fast and good! Access off the highway is easy.
google avatar

Linda M.

Yelp
Besides not enough indoor seating, this place was awesome. I got the best cold brew frozen coffee drink ever! The fried egg chorizo and avocado dish was so good, I got it to go and ate it before getting home. Meant to save some for hubby but alas. He had to fend for himself.
google avatar

Yelp
In concept the on-the-go shops are a bit paired down from the full size Common Bond locations. Still they have most of the things that I look from from Common Bond. Great bakery goods and breads. Their croissants and pan chocolate do not disappoint. This location is much closer to home (for me) than the larger locations. I generally stop by to stock up on bread and croissants. While there I get a coffee if I stop in the morning or a sandwich and a beer if I am there around noon.

wolf w.

Yelp
Wow the atmosphere here is amazing and the croissants and brew ice coffee are a quick picker upper. :) I recommend this place

Nina M.

Yelp
For our breakfast this morning my husband drove to this bakery's drive-thru for a French baguette. I stayed home cooking our meal(eggs & fixings), he came back with a baguette that was stale and hard as a log. Did not drive back there to return it because our breakfast was ready. Why are they selling stale bread? There's no way that it became stale if it had been baked this morning. You buy your bread from a bakery for freshness, if not, you get it from your grocery store. Is there anyone supervising for quality control or customer service? If not, the chain is expanding too much. Don't sell day old bread please!

Yelp
Food was amazing and Luis was the best very helpful and professional would recommend a million times !

Yelp
I love this location the manager and the staff are great, John always takes good care of me, this is my office! #always smiling.

Yelp
The food is good and so is the coffee. Can't go wrong. The thing that made this place special was the service. I was having a terrible day but a quick chat with vianney at the drive thru made me feel so much better about my day. Thank you so much for being a beam of positivity for an otherwise crap day! :)
google avatar

Alishia K.

Yelp
Great! place to go at and do work place, great costumer service i was attended by a guy with a cookies sweater really love how he attended me overall the place looks clean and its really calming in there.

Yelp
Carmen makes my coffee multiple times a week- a friend face to start the day!! Starsha is also a smiling face I love to see- The location is convenient, service is fast, efficient and friendly all at the same time. Now, if only I could pick up the Halloween cake from that location..... (HOPEFULLY next year!!!)

Nichole H.

Yelp
the drive through is always Pleasant and friendly. Great coffee and baked goods. fresh bread made daily. Vianey is always so helpful and kind along with everyone who works at this location.

Yelp
Nitro cold brew-good Chocolate chip cookie-mid Lots of people in line at the single check out. One of the associates helped out on the portable checkout eventually. He was cool. I'd probably come back just for the coffee next time.

Yelp
When companies are closed for a private account typically nice to update the website.

Yelp
the place is super cute. good location too. plenty of parking. the service.. short staffed and staffs need more training. the guy who was working when we went there seemed either he was under controlled substance or just got hired. the lady at the counter was having a difficult time understanding a simple menu order and we had to repeat it couple of times. there was a hiccup in one of our orders however they fixed it right away. just a heads up, their macchiato isn't the starbucks type, it's the traditional shot type. the caramel latte i got was pretty good. for drink sizes there are small and large. large is like a grande ish. we didn't order any pastries so i cant comment on that but overall it was ok. the team needs to get it together. the seating area was pretty spacious so good to catch up with friends or get your work done.

Asma A.

Yelp
I love going to the common bond in the medical center. This branch is very close to that location with everything to go. They do have a few seating inside and easy accessible parking. My number one favorite pastry is pistachio croissant and the latte with a syrup of your choice. I adore common bond and will continue to come here. I definitely recommend it!!! The service was great. The atmosphere is kid friendly
google avatar

Bina D.

Yelp
The food at Common Bond is always aesthetically pleasing - perfect for an IG photo. The taste and service does not compare to the original location. Something about eating cold pastries and drinking a mediocre latte makes the whole experience lack luster.
google avatar

Sean R.

Yelp
Delicious cortado and scone. Was across the street at the Crowne Plaza and hit this place on the way out of town.
google avatar

Adeel K.

Yelp
Stopped by this location for the first time with my wife for a afternoon bite before visiting Van Gogh Experience. I've been to the original location plenty of times and it's really good! I am disappointed to see that this location feels like an airport cafe stand. It's more of a grab n go. Customer service is awful as well. Staff is not friendly and give one word responses to questions. It feels as if they don't want your business..? I really wish I didn't spend $30 on two cold sandwiches that should've been toasted. TLDR; bad service, food is not good, save your time and $. Go elsewhere.
google avatar

Yelp
Big fan of the cafe, but was really disappointed by an incident that happened at this location. My husband and I came in on January 20th...we had been at the MarqE center to check out the Van Gogh exhibit there. Upon driving out, I saw that CB had opened a location there and wanted to check it out. We didn't check hours. We just saw it was open and that there were plenty of customers seated either studying or hanging out. My husband and headed towards one table one of the staff members told us he was about to clean it up so we moved to the next available table. He seemed really irritated as he was cleaning around us and slamming chairs and tables and his broom around. We realized that maybe they were closing down soon, and my husband check the hours on Yelp and saw that we had 15 minutes to close. We were just barely getting our drinks and decided to finish our pastry and then leave, but the closer it got to closing, the more frustrated this staff member got. I was already feeling tense and thought about just packing up my food and finishing it later, when he passed by and mumbled, "are you effing kidding me? We're trying to close and you're eating?" There were two other staffers there and they were both really nice and remained calm, but I could see he was barking at the two of them for not hurrying up or helping him close down either. I get that they were closing soon, but his behavior was uncalled for and without exaggeration, he made me feel like I was in trouble and he would have hit me if he could. Because it seemed that he was rushing us to leave, we left. I looked at our clock before leaving the lot just to see if it really was our fault for staying so long and it was only 6:04. Food was great, service from the other staff members was decent. I knocked down two stars just for this guys behavior. They were literally save by the fantastic pistachio croissant and London fog I got. I really hope this was chalked up to a bad day on his behalf.

Yelp
Had an ordered some small desserts for my moms birthday today. Went through the drive thru, drove down 1.7mi, smooth ride, very few turns (just three actually) went to open the box up and found this little guy looking disgruntled. The other desserts were fine, not sure how this guy ended up looking like this. 3 stars for good tasting dessert, not 5 because of the cheesecake looking just terrible.
google avatar

Tasia T.

Yelp
If I could leave a one star, I would. My little brother and I came here just now for the first time ever. Only reason why I didn't blow up is because one of the employees was very sweet and helped us out (she is tatted all along her arm.) As for the lady that caused a problem for NOTHING, (she has stars behind her left ear.) I have NEVER done a review in my life, but my little brother is 16 and she had a problem w giving extra matcha and made a statement saying "I ALREADY PUT FOUR SCOOPS" well if he wants more, we would've paid for more and just put extra matcha if we asked NICELY.. I did ask "what the problem was" and she was rude and ignored me.. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK.. just beware of that rude lady.

Pablo Hernandez V.

Yelp
Decided to stop by today for lunch was originally planning to stop by jersey mikes but decided to give this place a try! I ordered the Moroccan Beef po boy. Did not disappoint, Out of all the subs I have tried over the years the bread on this sandwich was the best I've ever had! The bread was really soft on the inside and a bit crunchy on the outside it was perfect! The beef on the sandwich was not dry well done and tasted great, blended well with the kale and peppers and I don't even like Kale but sure did eat all of it! Great place, great experience will definitely be back!

Yelp
Nice breakfast or lunch place. The menu is slightly limited compared to the other full sized Common Bond. However, it is still a great place with freshly made food. It's off the feeder in a shopping strip next to Bank of America. Overall thumbs up. Check the menu pics before going in case your favorite item is not served at this smaller Common Bond.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Love the morning bun. It's so buttery and melts in your mouth. They offer amazing pastry and coffee!

Tom L.

Yelp
Have been 5 times over 2 months. The bakery goods: massive and all 4-5 star. Pricey but good quality for a treat. Pistachio croissant and Kugel that's kind of a Boston cream are standouts. Cookies also unusually tasty. Brunch/lunch: fresh but lackluster salad, sandwiches, and egg goods are pricey 2-3 star and small by comparison to their other goods. (No biggie - not their bag.) Service: 2.5 at this location. 5 times over the past 3 months with multiple servers. No one is outright rude, but all but one made me feel like an interloper who was disrupting their day. And I only come in and order the basics - stopped asking for suggestions as they never seemed to have any. Could very well be hitting off days; also know the hiring issues. But as a comparison, I frequent the nearby drive-through burger shops and they consistently have friendlier customer service in what I know are far worse working conditions.

L H.

Yelp
Big, spacious clean place. I've given this place two chances. Same experience both times. I asked a few questions about the pastries and the first time, the guy couldn't answer any of my questions. The second time, the guy took forever to figure out how to check me out(while he never looked at me). I asked him to go light on the cream cheese and he responded that they would go light on the "sour cream." Obviously he wasn't listening and doesn't know his product. No sour cream on the sandwich. Both times, they appeared bothered and uninterested in my order. This location is cold and unfriendly. Horrible customer service. A bunch of deadheads work here. Feels like the Twilight Zone. No eye contact. No smiles or welcomes. Show some life and enthusiasm people. Show some energy and excitement. Show your face. They are all covered up with black paper masks. Do you actually want customers? It's hard to tell.

Hannah L.

Yelp
Really am not sure about the bad reviews. I received great service and the coffee and pastry was delicious as always. Oat milk and Almond milk available and this time, the chocolate croissants were not sold out. Yay!!! The drive-thru is very convenient albeit a little dangerous. I
google avatar

Yelp
Their lavender latte is one my favorites there. Drive-through staff was extremely professional and delightful!
google avatar

Andrea G.

Yelp
I love the on the go concept. My biggest issue is the customer service. Once they forgot about my sandwich for a while and the second time it was just really difficult to order my food. I still love their morning bun and bacon egg and cheese croissant.
google avatar

Brittany T.

Yelp
This is my favorite Common Bond ! I usually come to get an iced latte and a morning bun. The people here are super friendly and always so inviting. I would like to give a special shout out to Jeremy. He's super friendly! Every time I come in the door he has my order ready to go if he's there. If he's not there Laura has my back! She's super down to earth. Recently I've met Starsha she's super nice also super inviting. This location has a more down to earth feel to it. You won't find a location with amazing costumer service like this! This is a comfortable environment with down to earth people.

Yelp
The cortado was very good, the chocolate chip cookie was chunky and delicious, the pistachio croissant was a real treat, BUT the tall, skinny employee left a sour taste over everything. He was in a genuinely bad mood. Another employee, the only woman on duty, was helpful, but seemed to be distracted by other responsibilities behind the scenes. We felt less like guests, and more like an inconvenience. We arrived Thursday, January 20 (2022), between 5:35 and 5:40pm. We didn't know the store closed at 6 until after we sat down to have our coffee and croissants, but then again, virtually all the tables against the wall were full. It wasn't an empty restaurant with only one table holding everything up. We approached one table to sit, only to have the aforementioned employee swoop in, insisting he was closing up shop and needed to clean it. We sat somewhere else. By then, there were still three other tables of people. The employee banged tables and chairs as he moved them to mop the floor. He mumbled loudly under breath, loud enough for us to hear him as he walked by. "What? They're eating now? We're trying to close!" I heard him drop an F-bomb as he walked past once. He was rude and abrupt with his co-workers as well. Anything he did, he did it loudly, clearly to show he was upset people were still there. He'd snap his fingers loudly moving from here to there. My wife was visibly shaken and nervous and wanted to leave. We finished our food early to leave since we did not feel welcome. At this point, there were still two other tables with people. Once we were in the car, we looked at the clock. 6:05pm. The store had only been officially closed for 5 minutes, but the tall, thin, irritable employee had been making a fuss, making guests (and probably his coworkers) uncomfortable, and chasing off guests for 15-20 minutes. This is unacceptable. Because of this one terrible employee, I'd rather not go back, ever. But since the coffee and food is so good, I might return, but probably not if there's less than an hour till closing time. Even then, I doubt we'll go back since there's a chance the staff will treat us like an unwelcome inconvenience. Three stars for good food and coffee. If it wasn't for that, this review would only be one or two stars.

Yelp
Kougin Aman and Pistachio Croissant are my favs! Love the On the Go locations popping up everywhere.

Thomas S.

Yelp
It seemed that I was served a day old croissant for sandwich today and I don't believe that's what I paid for.
