Common Country Bar

My friend took me out for a late birthday. We had so much fun the atmosphere was cool and chill. The music was good. For country. I sang along with the songs and the drinks like the bottomless mimosas were excellent. Will recommend.

Walked by on a Sunday looking for a place that played a Lions game. (If you’re a New Yorker this may not be of importance. Haha) but I walked in and was immediately greeted and asked what I was looking for. As soon as I said Lions, the guy running the music quickly grabbed the remote and put on the game for us. Big screen all to ourselves on a Sunday afternoon. After ordering a couple beers, the bartender brought us out some complimentary biscuits. The space is beautiful and clean, but I would highly recommend it for the outstanding hospitality.

Came here to celebrate my friends birthday, and a time was had to say the least. The drinks were yummy and strong, Elizabeth recommended the Dixie marg and it might just be my new favorite drink! The food was delicious and the service was great, Elizabeth was so kind. I will definitely be returning!

Hosted my birthday here this past weekend and it was the absolute best time. Nadine and the entire team made everything from start to finish so easy and low stress regarding the planning process. Upon arrival they took care of everything and set us up in our section, allowing me to set up some balloons and decorations that I brought. My entire party loved the food platters and we also did bottle service throughout the evening. The staff here was honestly the nicest and most fun group of people - especially the security/bouncers, they were all so sweet. We stayed super late and got to experience both the live music and the best DJ - the whole venue was packed and full of energy. 10/10 experience and cannot recommend Common Country enough.

I have gone to Common Ground several times over the last year, my friends and I always have a good time. The food is good and the music is great. Looking to have my next work Holiday party at Common country and incorporate line dancing. Highly recommend.

Was my first time going. Went for my birthday yesterday and it was definitely fun! Our serve Elizabeth made it a point to help us keeping the drinks coming. She did an excellent job! Definitely would go back

Celebrated a friends birthday here. We made a reservation for 8 and when we arrived we were told our table wasnt ready. When we were sat 10 minutes later, they squeezed all of us at a booth for no more than 5 and didn’t even offer extra seats. I had to get up from the table multiple times to get our waiters attention to order food, drinks, and get more chairs since there was not enough space for all of us. The service was slow and rude, waitresses kept on saying taking our drinks orders or food orders were not their responsibility and we needed to wait for our dedicated server without even offering to find them for us. Everyone at the table had to participate in bottomless brunch which I found tacky as some members of the group are not drinkers. We had a 1:00pm reservation and did not have our food until at 2:15pm. I will say the food was good once it finally arrived. I would not recommend for a large group or special event where you want things to go well.

I was pleasantly surprised by the music -- I came in expecting to know almost no songs, but they played a mix of oldies that I knew, like country Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood, more recent music like Dan + Shay, Beyoncé and Post Malone. At 1 am, they played EDM remixes of country songs, which felt like an appropriate transition as the night continued. Sort of goes without saying given the neighborhood and the type of music, but heads up that the crowd is not really diverse whatsoever The bouncer also gave my group--a mix of guys and girls--a tough time about getting in such that my friend went ahead and dropped $1k on a table so that we didn't have to keep waiting in the cold.

I can't express my disappointment with this place. Being a southern country girl in New York, I'm always looking for good country food. I saw this new bar get established recently and went in on a hot day looking for some sweet tea. All country bars at least have sweet tea. No sweet tea. No hushpuppies. Not even any bread pudding. Okay, it's a bar, maybe it has southern beers. Nope! Just put up some country decor and basic country pop music. What a disappointment.

I wish I took photos of this cute country bar. It's like Nashville but city vibes. The music was loud but we also got there at 5 to eat on a Saturday night so it made sense.. we were joining the party! Really tho thank you so much to the team for my date missed his train causing us to be late to the reservation. The host really helped me out and we were still able to get a table. It was a barrel set up kind of table so we ended up eating at the bar instead... which was nice! Big screen TV to watch the basketball game. The live music is what we came for and both singers were great and the in between DJ also played great hits. All around would recommend to check this spot out with friends or a date because it was an intimate setting, dim lights, great music, and great staff from security at front all the way to the bartenders.

I've gone to this bar twice now and loved the music both times! It's cute because it's on the smaller side, but that kind of adds to the ambience in a way. I guess New York isn't as into country music as Nashville, for example. But it does seem like this place could fill up. My second time here I saw Cole Swindell, he popped in after a concert. it was so fun! Also, some of the security guards are kind of cute lol.

Loved this place! Went here on a country bar crawl. Had live music which was awesome. Loved the set up of the back area with ledges that you can sit or stand on. Was pretty busy and a little slow to get drinks but not terrible. Would absolutely go back!

World's worst DJ: Forrest Taylor. SING IT I'm not a country fan and they didn't play country music and it was still bad The older cowboy/cowgirl couple is very cute though

My wife and I went today for brunch and didn't know what to expect, but the whole experience was great . The food was amazing and the bottomless espresso martini was amazing . The service was fantastic. And the country music was good also .

Super fun live music venue! We made dinner reservations and the food was great. We had the Caesar Chicken wrap and the Chicken Sandwich, both were great. Matt, the General Manager, was really friendly and welcoming! We will definitely be back!

$22.50 for a vodka soda is ridiculous. The vibe is kind of stuck up for a "country" bar.

Undoubtedly the worst bar experience ever. Upon arrival I greeted the bartender and did not get any greeting back, she simply asked what can I get you? I asked for a margarita and then asked if it was happy hour and the drinks for 2 for 1. She said yes so I asked if I could get two margaritas instead. My cousin then asked for 2 margaritas as well but with tajin rim. She comes back with two margaritas and then proceeds to charge me over $30 for the two drinks. We asked if this was the happy hour price and she said yes the margaritas are $14 each on happy hour. So I continued to question why my total was double that. She said margaritas were not a part of the 2 for 1. I asked what was she said "anything that's not on the happy hour!" I asked what was on happy hour and if they had a menu and she just wondered off without a word. After watching her chit chat with the other bartender for 2 mins she comes back and looks at us without saying a word. My cousin said "umm I still need my drinks!?" She looked confused and then asked what we meant and he said he wanted another margarita with tajin. She makes the tajin rim and then tried to take my drink away and pour it into the new cup. I stopped her and said no my drinks were separate. She once again looked confused and then just wondered around some more until she finally made another drink. As for the venue itself it's very small and seats are very uncomfortable barstools with no back support. Would not recommend.

Terrible experience. Terrible service & was charged regular price during happy hour. Contacted res via email, instagram, and phone and still haven't heard back. Wouldn't recommend at all.

This is another country bar that has such great potential, but it tries too much to be a club. I heard weekends get way too packed, so I decided to go on a Tues night when it wasn't so busy. They have 2 for 1 drink specials Tues evening only for happy hour. Otherwise, their drink prices are ridiculous and unaffordable for me. I enjoyed the country music in the background (mostly 90's country). The two blonde bartenders were very friendly and service was excellent. My biggest issue was that they required my physical credit card to open a tab even tbough I wanted to pay either in cash or my google wallet Visa card. I closed my tab and paid using tap n pay via google wallet. Then a few hours later after leaving bar, I got an alert that my initial credit card used to start tab was charged an additional $20 without being physically present. Not sure if this was just a mistake on their end or intentional federal credit card fraud, but I opened up a dispute and investigstion with my bank. Bottom line, be careful when using your credit card here and if you do go, weekday evenings are best when its not overcrowded. I would return probably at some point, but will pay only in cash.

Vicky was the best server I've ever had in the city. Very accommodating and friendly! The bar ambiance is a sigh of relief with the laid back style of a country bar; very refreshing as opposed to your normal New York bar.
