Common Good Co

I have loved common good since they opened, but I just recently tried their coffee, and it is one of the better places for coffee in Boone! I got a vanilla latte, and it was perfect to have a coffee while I walked around and shopped, and looked up all of The amazing things they have in the store!

so much to love about this place! the set up is beautiful and every detail on the home goods is so beautiful! the prices are completely reasonable especially for such unique pieces. great picks for kitchen and decor needs

I have been wanting to do this review for a while. Common Good Co sort of reminds me of Anthropologie, perhaps even World Market. But walk up the stairs & you will notice a fine art gallery and a design studio. Neat! Looking for a home in the mountains; this may be a place to visit and get inspiration. This store caught our eye at first because of it's beautiful aesthetics. After walking in, the variety of unique, clean and simply beautiful home decor took over. We bought a few things for the new house and definitely could have continued to buy more. There were a lot of home designs that inspired and aligned with our tastes The quality of goods found in the store definitely is a solid 4.5. The two star rating comes from the lack of customer service that we experienced. Walking through the door we weren't greeted. That didn't really bother me. Walking through the store we were not even acknowledged. My wife felt as though we were labeled as people who could not afford to shop there. I watched the employee greet, speak to and helped all the other customers in the store After all the other customers were taken care of and had left, she uttered two words to us. Those two words were, 'excuse me,' as she needed to get by. She then disappeared somewhere in the back. My better half wanted to just leave. I convinced her that we should get the things we like. We drove all the way to Boone. I wasn't going to let someone drag our mood down. We had the find her at the back. Even as we paid and she bagged the merchandise, there wasn't a smile, there wasn't a thank you. I'm not one to care if I'm greeted at the door. I'm mostly a get in and get what I need shopper. However the lack of politeness was a bit much. The designs, paintings and merchandise in the store are quite beautiful but we would never return here again.

I love this store! It has unique gifts for every occasion and the art gallery is amazing! If you are visiting Boone or Blowing rock, they have a sister store as well! Great experience I just attended a floral arrangement class at Common Good! This class was so informative and we had so much fun learning how to make interior design floral arrangements! I recommend this to anyone wanting to enrich their life and surround themselves with more beauty! The treats were so yummy too!

While I don’t have any pictures to share, I thoroughly enjoyed the collection of goods in this store and the craftsmanship of the curated collection. The store clerk was so helpful to our 10 year old son looking for a hair clip for a friend. We will be returning again!

I attended the first floral workshop at Common Goods Co. I drove up from Chapel HIll and took my son's girlfriend. We had the best time! Upon arrival, everything was set up beautifully including our place settings of brown craft paper "placemats" with our names written on them in cursive writing with gold marker. There were artisan pastries (beautiful, delicious and such a treat!) and champagne as well as other drinks. The 3rd floor room was so gorgeous with custom stucco walls, paintings and natural accessories! Our teacher was so nice and very knowledgeable on proper flower arranging and we were guided to go around surrounding tables and choose various flower stems to use in our arrangement. After going back to our seats, we proceeded to arrange our flowers according to the "rules" we'd learned. Everyone's arrangement was different as each person had chosen different stems, but all looked amazing! We got to take our arrangements home and almost 3 weeks later (after replacing a few things that had died with some stems and blooms from my yard as suggested in the class), my arrangement still looks so pretty and every time I look at it I have fond memories of our day in Boone! The only drawback we had was parking (which was not the fault of the Common Good Co.!) and hopefully, soon, Boone will be able to address this problem! I forgot to say that EVERYONE at Common Good Co. was so helpful and kind. I wish I was back there right now!!

Well selected items, original art and prints in a beautiful store. Simply walking in is inspiring, everything is pulled together with an artistic eye. I found myself contemplating re-doing my entire master bedroom based on a beautiful art print.

Beautiful shop with unique gifts and a little coffee bar in the back. The Barista was pleasant and suggested a flavor for the latte for my daughter. It was yummy. The merchandise is a little pricier but quality items. The store Staff wasn't the best but not rude either.

We wandered in one late afternoon and made it a point to come back the next day since we saw some items we liked -- a fun tea towel and an eco-friendly loofah dish sponge. It's hard to escape the smell of coffee, which is a plus for us. They have some interesting items but they are tastefully displayed, not overcrowded like some places. As a side note, we stopped in the Blowing Rock location when we were there and the clerk never even bothered to look up from her phone. The selection seemed a little bit better in Boone as well.

I recently moved from Boone after living there for 3 years and have been back for the weekend just to visit. This downtown shop is new, so I decided to check it out yesterday while I was walking on King. It's super cute, and I'm glad I did. The place is very clean, the artwork and items for sale are trendy, cute, and relevant, and lots of things are noticeably handcrafted or homegrown in NC. I was sending pics (the ones I uploaded to this review) to a few friends and all of them were responding saying they wished they were there/could buy everything in the store/could decorate their homes like the store. Admittedly, the items for sale are a little pricy, but I'm a broke graduate student and also don't have an eye for art, so my thoughts are certainly biased. I wanted to buy something there to support the business, but have limited funds, so I had to be very selective and thoughtful about my purchase. If the prices were cheaper or I was richer, I would want mostly everything in the store. They even had cool drinks for sale.. After looking at the Common Good Co website, I see there's much more to this place than just a store! There's an art gallery and studio, and it looks like the company is working really hard to be integrated with and connected to the larger Boone community. The owners are a darling married couple that graduated from App State. They are actually living out my dream. #represent!

Sought out this store upon recommendation when visiting Boone. Clean, bright, interesting selection. Quality conversation and helpful dining, sight-seeing, and Boone experience recommendations for this first-timer from the friendly clerk. Enjoyed my perusing, pleasant experience. Purchased one of a kind items as mementos of my trip. On my return list!

This store is stunning. An absolute must when in town. So much incredible local art, pottery, and other goods. Couldn't recommend it more! Great for gifts, decorating your home, and getting some local art. The gallery upstairs is also an experience in and of itself.

Common Good Co. is definitely my new favorite business in downtown Boone! I love to go there to see what's new every time I'm in town. They sell amazing art, beautiful things for the home, books, clothing and much more. The atmosphere is calming and inviting and I can't wait to go back!
