There are few instances where you can walk into a new spot and feel welcomed as if you were an old friend; Common Wealth Crush is one such place. Opening the door, you're greeted with a warmth often found on the homestead in hearths. There is a calm familiarity when you're greeted as if to say, "Hey! Thanks for stopping by." The selection of wine is vast but there is no sense of sommelier pressure when ordering. If you don't know what you like, you're in a great spot: they have something for nearly every taste. If you know your preferences, they will surely have something to delight. I'm personally more open to trying something new and there were more than enough blends, grapes, and options to sate my curiosity. My wife? She knows what she likes and while she is happy to try a new wine, she is much happier enjoying something with familiarity and an obvious hint of oak. Make it a day. Visit Waynesboro and spend time at Common Wealth Crush. The environment is welcoming, the wine is exceptional, and the staff is incredible. Truly, this is a gem hidden in the hills of Virginia! Make a point to visit and you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I love coming to CWC for date nights. The wines are so unique and delicious. We also love that the staff is very friendly and ready to share more about the wine making process. The atmosphere is classy yet relaxed - a hidden gem in Waynesboro!

Natural winery with a lot of approachable options. You walk in and it feels like you’ve just walked into your best mate’s home. Roshi, (manager) provided such a warm space, paired with a wealth of knowledge about the wines they offer. My friends and I gave her a rundown of the wines we typically like to drink and she curated a dealer’s choice flight that matched us each perfectly. We frequent Charlottesville area wineries often and will 100% be adding this place to our rotation and spreading the word about commonwealth crush!
