"Sexy and bold, the Commons Club bar at the base of the Virgin Dallas hotel is 100% swank. Try the Perfect Pair, a clever version of Manhattan made with Hennessy VS Cognac & spiced pear, or something from the extensive wine list. And the Uncommon Burger is a perfect pairing with absolutely any of its spirits." - Courtney E. Smith, Rachel Pinn

I had a terrible experience at this place. Despite their claim of offering brunch, the lack of a lunch menu was disappointing. The Cesar salad was terrible, the burger, was disappointingly greasy. Service was a notable issue as well; our waiter exhibited rudeness, exacerbating our already negative experience. Waiting 45 minutes for a burger further compounded our dissatisfaction. For those seeking a pleasant dining experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Commons Club is located inside the Virgin Hotel in the Design District of Dallas. Some of my friends and I went for a “girls’ night out” to check out their Christmas pop-up shop. The decor was wonderful and the holiday themed drinks were good. I had a spiked hot chocolate, cranberry champagne, and a “nice” shot. We also tasted the fries and salsa. They were okay. Overall we had a decent time but, I don’t think the experience was worth the $16-20 cover fee (when there’s several other holiday pop-ups for free in the area). The music could’ve been better too. The total spent was about $50. I’d go back but not for this particular pop-up.

Blackened fish sandwich with fries( so good I ate it all before taking a picture) and bread budding were a perfect lunch! Nice chill vibe. I loved all the windows. Also so many options, even plant based. Nice they offer lunch and or brunch til 3pm and it was a Monday!

On Entry: The dining room has a nice relaxed-chic atmosphere with warm lighting, very comfortable seating, plush fabrics, and low ambient music. Hostesses are friendly, welcoming, and attentive when you walk up. Menu: a bit more lavish and adventurous than I would usually prefer in terms of choices for dinner but there are fun and unique options available for a special night out. Even though it’s a bit outside of my usual pick for a weeknight, it’s still a strong 5-stars for me here because the food was exquisite on every plate they brought out. I couldn’t resist taking a piece of cheesecake (with ice cream!) home with me and it was delicious as well. Staff & Service: My waiter was Jesse and he was absolutely top-notch from start to finish. He came to the table promptly when I sat down, provided personal recommendations from the menu and explained some of the more ornate dishes to me in detail to help me decide on something I’d enjoy, he came by to check in just enough, and overall made my experience a very positive one. The flow of the dinner service is a bit relaxed (not slow) so if you’re in a hurry I’d recommend bringing it up right away when you sit down. Parking: Valet is super quick and friendly but pricey, and there is little to no self parking available nearby. General Observations: - This may not be the best venue for little ones because the menu is limited to more elaborate dishes with unusual flavors and ingredients. - The process appears to be largely undefined for Virgin gift card use in the restaurant. Wait staff and management alike seemed perplexed by how to navigate the redemption.

The atmosphere is very chill and laid-back, drinks are good as well as the food,my fiancé and I got the baked Mac n cheese which was cheesy and we also got the pesto grill cheese with tomato soup which was bussin, and we got baked Brie bites which were delicious. Overall great place for a date and will definitely come back.

Google
Trust me when I say this. There is nothing common about the Commons Club restaurant. They should call it Kings Arthur Club, because that's how I felt as I was there. With no exaggeration, the food was so delicious. Every thing was fabulous. I started off with the Charcuterie Board, then the Burrata Bread for starters. Then we coasted to the Salmon Chop which had to be one of the best salmons I've ever had. We finished the meal with the Tropical Paradise and the deconstructed carrot cake. The carrot cake was my favorite because it had small bites of bacon. On a quick note, our server Sophia was simply the best. She made the evening super special with her smile and personality. Commons Club gets a A Plus in my book.

Went here on New Years day for their recovery brunch. Nothing special. It was just a regular Sunday brunch. They said there was supposed to be a DJ but I definitely didn't see one🤔 My boyfriend got the chicken & waffles and I got the power bowl with salmon. Both were really good! The menu prices are a little high for brunch but I'm guessing it's because of the location. Our waiter was great even with slow service and as always the atmosphere was beautiful. I'm ok not eating there again but I will definitely be back to hang out at the bar.

Google
$75/person for a Mother’s Day brunch was way overpriced. Stale cinnamon rolls and pastries. Tea sandwiches with dried bread. Shrimp and grits were decent. The bagel bar was cute, but same problem, dry bread and unexciting bagel quality. Of course the atmosphere was gorgeous. Getting a flower and cookies was nice. But my family of 5 paid $400+ dollars for a barely nicer than an Embassy Suites hotel breakfast buffet. To top it off we were being rushed by the waiter because they did 1.5 hr long blocks to get the next wave of overpaying customers in. My suggestion - don’t do buffet style. Let people order. We made the best of it but I wish we had stayed at home.

Yelp
The service we received here was terrible. We put in our drink orders, and waited a while to receive them. Then I ordered food and we never saw our waiter again until he came and dropped off the checks without even asking. The drink was good and I was ready to order another one...guess not! On top of this, I was fined $87 DOLLARS for a parking ticket. I get that not paying for my parking spot is on me, honest mistake I didn't see it, but $87 is RIDICULOUS for a parking ticket at a hotel parking lot. Safe to say I will not be coming back nor will I recommend this place.

Yelp
During our stay at the Virgin Hotels, we stopped by here for cocktails. I loved the atmosphere and the decor, and every night it looks like there's some wedding afterparty celebrating here. The bartender was super friendly, and we enjoyed that he took the time to make us something special based on our preferences! However, the actual drinks were not great. Their aperol spritz was fine but nothing special, and their mixed drinks were much too sweet. Unfortunately, it felt like the drinks really fell flat in comparison to the rest of the vibe here. While it was convenient for a hotel bar, I would recommend trying some other nearby spots for a tasty drink.

Yelp
Walking back from dinner we saw a bar that was DECKED out in christmas decor and wanted to check it out! So glad we did! it's such a cool vibe with specialty cocktails on a menu strictly for the moment! Bobby one of the bartenders was so friendly and nice to our group, he explained what was happening and that it had just opened a few days before. It was a fun atmosphere with deliciously strong cocktails!!! I would go back after christmas to see what else they have to offer at this bar and the Virgin hotel itself!

Yelp
I recently visited Commons Club for brunch, and as someone who had previously enjoyed their dinner menu, I had high expectations. I decided to try the brisket hash with egg whites on top, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The portion of meat and eggs was generous, and what I appreciated most was that it wasn't overwhelmed by potatoes, a common issue at some other restaurants. To complement my meal, I tried the Veuve De Paris Blanc De Blancs sparkling wine, and I was pleasantly surprised. This sparkling wine had a nice flavor profile with unexpected floral notes, especially considering its price point. The dining room's decor has funky yet sophisticated vibe of the entire hotel. It added to the overall dining experience. Overall, my brunch at Commons Club was a great experience. The food was delicious, the service was good, and I'm looking forward to returning to explore more of their offerings.

Yelp
This is a great place to go to for a special occasion! Instagrammable walls, 4th floor even has a club and outdoor seating. Service is great! It is pricey though. We got the green goblet and violet and both were great! Got the chicken lollipops, truffle fries and petit chicken. Highly recommend! I didn't like the lobster pasta at all. And it was expensive.

Yelp
So I went here for my birthday brunch on March 18th. I had a party of about 10 people. The restaurant has excellent ambiance and is awesome to take pictures, but the service was not the greatest. We ordered our food, and it took over 30 minutes to receive, and just about everyone's food was either cold or lukewarm. A couple of people from my party had to send their food back because it was cold or incorrect. I ordered the Monte Cristo, and it was mostly bread and lukewarm. I also ordered a drink but I forgot the name. It was a little bitter, not the selection, but I listened to the waiter on drink choice. I'm definitely disappointed with the food and service. I had high hopes for the food. I did get some great pictures while I was there.

Yelp
My wife and I were staying at the virgin and decided to go to the commons club for a couple drinks and a snack. The atmosphere was great but our server never showed up. We sat at our table for 15 minutes with no contact. Servers walked by us several times but no one stopped to take an order or even drop off a water. I was shocked that a restaurant/bar serving $20 drinks and $40 plates had such horrible service. We left without ever seeing our waiter. The staff at the podium did not seem surprised when I handed the menus back to them as we walked out, they only said have a good night!? Wow!

Morgan P.

Yelp
This review is JUST based on the drinks and service. We had the absolute best waiters and bartenders here. Super professional but also really friendly and down to earth. Special shoutout to Justin who took great care of us!

Tashana L.

Yelp
It's a resounding NO for me! What an extremely over hyped place. Cute decor, nice ambiance, good drinks, but not worth the price. The service was worse than McDonald's, the food laughable. I ordered the "creamy" truffle pasta and added salmon. $40 meal for hard noodles in gravy and the smallest piece of salmon ever. I sent it back because it wasn't creamy at all, the manager said "we'll add more parmesan cheese, but it's not actually a creamy dish". The menu says creamy in the description. The new dish had more parmesan cheese but absolutely no taste. Come here for the drinks and to take pictures.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, delicious food... duck flautas are a most!! Service was good. Perfect spot for a date.

Yelp
The first time i went (with the current menu), i really enjoyed it a lot. Last night was my second time eating from that menu. The dishes/flavor combinations are... "creative" but it works. Definitely not a place for someone with a limited palate. So far, the appetizers seem to be the most impressive: the duck flautas (8.5/10), pork belly (8/10) are really good. Their brussel sprouts (8/10) are pretty good too. As far as entrées, I've had the lobster scampi (7/10) and the oxtail cavatelli (7/10). Both were good, but nothing overly impressive for pastas. If i go again I'd probably go for a more protein-based entrée The duck flautas have me wanting to try the roasted duck entrée, and the Berkshire pork chop looks/sounds great too. I'm sure their chef makes a nice steak - based on the flavors and presentation of the other dishes. Other items: Roasted garlic and leek mashed potatoes: 6.5/10. Sweet gem and romaine w/shrimp: 7.5/10. Crispy octopus: 5/10 Chicken lollipops: 3.5/10 The service was a bit off. We were seated about 15 mins after our reservation. It seemed like the waiter was shy and uncomfortable - not to mention we didn't see him until about 35-40 mins into our dinner. Although the manager impatiently accommodated us until the waiter acknowledged us, he seemed to care more about where the waiter was rather than making sure we were taken care of in the meantime. Overall, I think the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, especially the green room with the mirrors. Commons Club is definitely worth a visit and I'd still like to try more of the menu items.

Yelp
Last weekend, I had a memorable meal at The Commons Club in the Virgin Hotels Dallas. When we talk about a steak, we ain't talking about that little piece of meat on the plate. Nahhh we talking about this big daddy right here! I was a little skeptical at first, but once it came to the table I was all in. (side note: I did not eat that entire thing by myself it was shared between me and two other people) The Virgin Hotels is definitely a vibe. I went to the one in New Orleans and loved it so much it was only right to see what the Dallas location was all about. I entire dining experience was really nice aside from this creep who tried to sit at our table and have a convo with us... like it was really weird. BUT that situation got resolved real quick and homeboy did not bother us the rest of the night plus we got a complimentary dessert out of it Aside from all of that, I really enjoyed myself and the decor was super cute. I love it, I love it. Will def be back again!!!! As seen on menu: (Lion's Fest) 36 oz Piedmontese Beef Tomahawk* (meant to be shared $130) Parmesan Truffle Fries

Yelp
Foods decent. Service was great. HOT AF inside. It was 8:34pm and 90 degrees inside. Also had to fight flies for our food.

Yelp
Troy is the best bartender in dallas! Great vibe. Great cocktails. Will be back for sure!

Yelp
Having dined at numerous establishments globally, I can confidently say that my experience at the Commons Club was nothing short of exceptional. The diversity in their menu is commendable, and the quality of each dish simply mesmerizing. The Soft Shell Crab Tacos were an adventure for the palate, with the perfect crunch of the crab, complemented by the delicate balance of fresh garnishes and warm tortilla. Every bite left me craving more. The Charred Octopus was another highlight, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The smokey exterior gave way to a tender interior, a testament to the skill of the kitchen. Duck Flautas, a dish I'd never encountered before, was a delightful surprise. The duck was flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. Paired with a divine sauce that elevated the entire dish, it was a culinary treat. The Beef Carpaccio and Burrata were pure Italian elegance. The thinly sliced, high-quality beef melted in my mouth, and the creamy burrata provided a luscious contrast. Then came the Short Rib Asado, a dish that truly shined. The rib was tender, succulent, and packed full of rich flavors. A generous serving of beef that melted away with every bite, it was a meat lover's dream. Vegetable dishes should not be overlooked, either. The Grilled Cabbage Wedge, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Asparagus, and Wild Mushrooms were all cooked to absolute perfection. The crispy Brussels sprouts were a personal favorite, charred to a crisp perfection, and seasoned beautifully. The Commons Club's hospitality was equally impressive. I ordered so much food that the chef came out to greet me, a personal touch that truly made the experience unforgettable. The staff was accommodating and eager to please, ensuring that every course was a memorable one. In conclusion, The Commons Club offers not just a meal, but an experience. From the exceptional dishes to the attentive service, every element of my visit was five-star worthy. I can't recommend this place enough, it truly is a must-visit for any food connoisseur. I was the one that order every appetizer and meal. Chef I am coming back in a week or so.

Yelp
We went for the drag queen brunch on Sunday. We had a reservation at 11:30am and did not get seated until 12:10pm. Many groups waiting in line behind us were seated before us. We will probably not go back again. The brunch itself was family style and delicious. Our waitress was great and the drag queen show was very fun!

Carolyn J.

Yelp
My friend called me let's go brunch . I know A Great Place. It Was Beautiful and The Food Was Amazing. Ambiance Awesome. Staff friendly. Valet Parking. A Great Time . Tried a Cuban Sandwich for first time. It was hot and fresh. Beautiful Place.

Lauren R.

Yelp
The A/C was not functionally properly so it was extremely HOT. I didn't deduct points for this, because I understand things happen. Our reservations were at 7:45 pm. The service was slightly slow but the food is the true star here. The food is so tasty and I know once they get the kinks worked out this place has so much potential. We had the Rockefeller oysters, mussels, and lobster Scampi. Everything was cooked perfectly and the presentation was awesome. Our first round of cocktails were amazing, but second round tasted like a brand new drink. So consistency at the bar could be improved.

Aicha K.

Yelp
i liked the ambiance , the bartender was very nice and made me a virgin drink since I don't drink alcohol. the service was great, the flatbread was a little burned (I didn't even realize it) the manager came by and brought another one free of charge, and wasn't included on the tab. I will definitely come back

Parker J.

Yelp
I was part of a large private party and our waiter Jeremy was AWESOME ... We were a rowdy bunch as it was a friends birthday and Jeremy keep the drinks flowing and the food was amazing

Dashia H.

Yelp
This was my first time going & we celebrated my moms 52nd birthday! The restaurant/ lounge is located inside the Virgin Hotel Dallas. The atmosphere and ambiance was giving high class and Boujee. The bar/lounge area was a vibe after 9pm, drink. They played a nice mix of different music that anyone can vibe to! This place is great for celebrations, or a romantic dinner date! Complimentary birthday dessert with sparklers! Book a reservation in advance. Great customer service and experience. The food is a bit over priced in my opinion but I will definitely be going back!

Sherie K.

Yelp
Commons Club had fun vibes !!! We went here to support Spinderella's daughter who was playing great music in the restaurant area, but the overall feel downstairs was that people were trying to have a classy-ish dinner. The bartenders on this floor also were kind of rude. The had a 3 man (literally all men) staff and they seemed to be ignoring women... or at least just my friends and I. It took forever for them to acknowledge us and then when they finally did they told us to wait. So we went upstairs to the rooftop area and got served right away. The music was also good upstairs and people were at least dancing. There was a bachelorette party there enjoying their night and several other groups of people just having a good time. The upstairs area was very nice and I loved that it was outside because with Covid, I'm still a bit hesitant to be in a real club/bar setting with too many people on top of me. So it was perfect! Dallas has lots of options for good hip hop and dancing and and this is definitely one of them! I can't wait to go back to the rooftop bar!

Meredith B.

Yelp
I met Michael (GM) at the Commons Club Friday (2/24) evening. He was very kind and wanted to make sure everything was taken care of. Our bartender (I even kept the receipt so I'd remember his name.... then threw it away) was EXCELLENT, very accommodating, made fabulous drink suggestions, and gave my a great birthday surprise :D If you have time, get the burger. My husband and I were just looking to get a little something in our stomachs before heading to an event and split it. Kind of wish we'd ordered two because it was. so. good.

Earnest C.

Yelp
Wanna feel cool and swanky and kinda like you in a James Bond film or something? Be sure to stop by the Virgin Hotel and visit this places. It is on the 1st floor of the hotel. What I live is that it has a chef counter, which is currently closed due to COVID, where you as a patron/guest could dine at a bar-like setting and pretty much watch the kitchen staff preparing all the delicious meals right in front of your face. Talk about an experience! Food was tasty, attentive server. I love how it feels almost like a restaurant mixed with a mini club. Will definitely return

Mike K.

Yelp
Had a BLAST at the drag brunch today! Totally exceeded our expectations! The food was good and I enjoyed the quiche with a side of fries and our table shared the pastry dish. Service was incredible! Our server was amazing and super attentive. The entertainment was AMAZING!! Great energy, hilarious, and amazing drag performances! They showcase the drag brunch twice a month. Awesome hotel ambiance and upbeat energy. We checked out the fourth floor pool & bar area and it's really lively and a great place to sip cocktails and enjoy the Dallas skyline. Can't wait to go back!!

Christopher V.

Yelp
There's a reason I typically avoid hotel affiliated restaurants. ..they usually aren't very good. Commons Club falls into this category. There were some hits, more more misses. My coworker was excited to select dinner that evening, so I didn't want to rain on her parade by vetoing her find. I was on the fence between 2 and 3 stars. My experience was probably 2.5 stars exactly, so following the rules of simple math by rounding up. As far as positives. .. the trendy decor, valet service and our reservation being honored without a wait and the Texas Pecan Pie. The service was friendly, but our server was flustered. We had to ask multiple times for water refills. The Texas Wagyu was a terrible cut of meat with zero marbling and was poorly cooked. I requested medium rare. It came out well done. I sent it back and it came out just as bad. The Root Vegetable Gratin lacked flavor despite the nice plating. I also wish the portion was 50% more. I'm stopping me review here before I change to a 2 star rating. Update: After remembering I paid $42 for that terrible steak, I'm dropping to 2 stars. Not worth updating my review.

Haven R.

Yelp
We ate breakfast here, and everything was delicious. Service was excellent. Mom got the chicken & waffles and shared with me so I could try it, I got the egg white omelet with chicken sausage. The chicken & waffles were soooo good, I only wish they had the option for gluten free waffles because one of our group has celiac and didn't get to try the waffles. Overall so delicious!

Elizabeth N.

Yelp
Waste. Of. Time. Dinner experience is immediately soured upon arrival to the hotel where you're slapped with a $20 valet fee. No validation by the restaurant either. Kept it light as the menu selection proved to be uninspired and pretty basic. Sad to report that the food is no better than any typical hotel restaurant. Overpriced, mediocre food. Caesar salad - 1/5 Nothing special, few slivers of Parmesan cheese, romaine lettuce, and dressing. There are so many way better Caesar salad options in Dallas. Didn't even take a pic because it was so boring. Boujee Tots - 1/5 Crispy tots, unfortunately were not seasoned at all. Just some salt would have been nice. Nice idea but poor execution. Needed a little something more to live up to the "boujee" name. Truffle Campanelle Pasta - added chicken (+$7) - 1/5 Chicken breast: dry, overcooked! Abysmal. Advertised as a truffle cream sauce; wasn't really creamy but rather liquidy. Pasta didn't have the handmade taste and texture as advertised. None of these dishes were memorable for the right reasons. Cocktails were not great either. Really wish I could get my $150 (2 cocktails, one app, one salad, one pasta dish) and night out back. This place sucks. Forgot to mention - I was swatting away gnats and flies the entire night (INDOOR seating); eventually got to the point where I had to kill the gnats with my bare hands! Get a handle on your pest situation, Commons Club!

Alison T.

Yelp
I visited the Commons Club for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. This restaurant is located within Virgin Hotels Dallas and is ultra chic and modern. Although we visited on a Monday night when the restaurant was quite empty, the ambiance was still unique and fun. For my dish I ordered the Truffle Campanelle pasta and I must say it was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. My fiancé ordered the wood grilled salmon and it was cooked to perfection. We also had the focaccia bread with whipped butter on the side and this was perfect for nibbling on the side of our dishes. Drinks ordered were the loaded with love and Paloma 2.0, both good, a little on the sweeter side it seems with all their drinks but still strong enough. Can't wait to return on a weekend when the restaurant is more lively! So much space indoor and they have a huge patio as well.

Amanda K.

Yelp
I loved Common's Club! It's big and spacious but each place you turn is so incredibly tailored for a posh atmosphere. We loved taking pictures on the big swing and enjoyed our dishes at brunch. It was so good I will certainly be back.

DeQuilla H.

Yelp
Came to Funny Library previously and noticed Commons Club immediately next door. It'd be hard to miss it. All conveniently located at Virgin Hotels. I also came the very first time it snowed this year. Not during the Texas Winter Storm but about a month before and it like drizzled snow for 6 seconds *eye roll* it might've been a couple hours... Still was going to eat though haha! Brisket Hash (GF option) has crispy potato, pecan-smoked brisket, sunny-side up eggs, pickled sweet pepper and when I say "good Yelp fam", I sincerely mean it! I like runny yolk cause when you get a bite of the entire plate it becomes a binder, a sauce, the perfect segue for all the ingredients, EVERYTIME! :O I've been getting into trying more desserts instead of alcohol. Just wanna switch it up from time to time. So I ordered the Walnut & Apple. Also can be GF. Comes with a black walnut praline panna cotta, caramel poached Granny Smith, gingersnap streusel, and apple sorbet. The apple sorbet was great and the presentation, whew :D but as a cohesive bite it wasn't for me. I think maybe the poached Granny Smith added an interesting texture and flavor to the sorbet that kind of muddled it. The streusel I also liked! I looooooved the design of the restaurant too! It makes sense since it's at a reputable hotel. But there's marbling, funky couches, various color schemes, separate rooms and a swing ALL perfect for photos! I did a really cool swing video too!

Mallory P.

Yelp
Everything is perfect. The comedy, the food, the dancing. The show doesn't ever feel long enough. It's a great place to make lifetime memories. This was my 93 year old grandmothers first drag show.

Stacie A.

Yelp
For starter's, the ambience at Commons Club is true to the Virgin brand - modern, sleek, sexy and a little quirky. The food and service on the other hand were a little hit or miss. We tried many of the tapas-style shareables and the standouts were the ricotta toast (fresh and citrusy) and the pork belly. The crudo had a great flavor (delightfully spicy) but the portion was a little too undersized for our party of 4 to share. It would benefit from more of the crisps that were sprinkled on top. The radish dish was literally a plate of radishes with a seaweed butter. Not sure at all how butter and seaweed compliment raw radishes. The entrees were a little better but nothing really stood out except the yardbird. Very generous portion and moist. The service though still has a few kinks to work out. We recieved a couple of inaccurate orders, had sides served before entrees, and had long waits between entrees and to get our ticket. Again, this is the first "official" week so they'll get their flow soon. But what I do wholeheartedly recommend is the pecan pie. Its served warm in a cute little iron pot with bourbon ice cream. And it has a ton of pecans - not much filler. Will definitely give them another try in the Spring when that beautiful pool lounge is sure to be popular.

Yelp
Had a great day!! Friends and I decided to celebrate a Birthday at the Drag Brunch. It did not disappoint. The valet was $10 if you pay before and $20 on your way out. This hotel is chic and sassy and nothing but fun!!! I would love to tell you our servers name but I could not hear it when he told us! Lol! The music was loud and energetic. Please do not go if you are wanting any form of a proper brunch. The MC was hilarious and engaging. She is bold, funny, cynical. The food was great! ( I actually took pics!) We did the bottomless mimosas! Those were dangerous but worth the price of admission. The performers were fabulous, glamorous, talented, simply beautiful. It was the best way to kick off pride month and we absolutely loved it!

Lawrencia L.

Yelp
I came with a group of friends and we made reservations prior to dining. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Nice ambience and so many opportunities for pictures. The mimosas were a little pricey, but the food was good. I'm a pescatarian, so I decided to just order sides and added smoked salmon, which was delicious. I even received a complimentary glass of wine since the server accidentally forgot to bring it earlier.

Jay A.

Yelp
It was Jay's first time doing a drag brunch! All I gotta say ya'll, Jenny P the GOAT! Great vibes!

Dipesh P.

Yelp
Wow. Had dinner here on their second night and we thought for sure we would experience many opening kinks. But absolutely not. Food was delicious and service was outstanding. We were not an easy table either, as we were a party of 6. We started out with most of the appetizers and all were delicious. The scallops, radishes, and the goat cheese toast were a few standouts. We several of the mains as well but the gnocchi and snapper (catch of the day) were all amazing. The Bavarian oat dessert was also a personal favorite. The bourbon ice cream pecan pie was amazing as well. The vibe is super cool and at times the music can be a little loud. Other than that all was very good.

Zhen L.

Yelp
New lounge that opened up in the Design District, part of the Virgin Hotel and my immediate impression is this place is super swanky (in a good way). Drinks: we ordered the Mai tai and Clover Club, both solid, although a bit pricey ($13/drink, we should have known how pricey this place was when they didn't have prices next to the drinks...). They have a pretty extensive wine list that we'll have to try next time we swing by. Food: we only ordered an appetizer, the charcuterie board, and its delicious. It doesn't come with cheese which is perfect if you're an lactose intolerant Asian like me. The cured meats were way better than I expected. Service: we had to wait a while for the waitress to come greet us but it wasn't a dealbreaker or anything. She was polite/courteous and gave us some recommendations. Atmosphere: This place is bougie AF, come here if you want to posh it up. 5/5 for atmosphere. Parking: there's some construction being done and parking can be hard to find, but it does look like they offer valet parking at the hotel if you want the convenience. All in all would recommend to anyone looking for a great new bar!

Yelp
Not a great experience at all. My friend and I arrived for brunch on Saturday and ordered around noon...food didn't arrive until 1:15. Below is what I ordered...no excuses for that amount of time for eggs, toast and pancakes. When the food finally did arrive I was missing my bacon and their "mixed jam" as advertised with the "Brekky" was a small container of Smuckers grape jelly. Drinks were good but the second round came in a much smaller glass. We inquired about the glass difference when the 2nd order came and was told there were issues with inconsistency....umm, yeah I'm drinking a whole short glass of it. Please do better at communicating kitchen issues and allow customers to choose to wait or stay when there's issues in back of house.

Yelp
Very nice place with a great atmosphere. Very artsy and instagramable. Would prefer fresh juice tho. The brisket and eggs was just delightful. The cocktails are different and so amazing. You can choose to sit inside or out. The brisket and eggs was just delightful. This was an overall great experience. wil be back defiantly again.

Yelp
The service was below par. When checking in, the hostess and manager charged $20 PER SEAT for anyone who did not show up and didn't call 48 hours prior. I specifically called 72 hours prior, spoke to a young lady, and she stated she would pass off the message to her manager to adjust the reservation from 10 to 2 people. The message was never received and I was charged for this ridiculous additional $160 for something that was miscommunicated on their end. No accountability. No customer service. No attempt to resolve.

Yelp
I came here for a celebration, its located in the Virgin Hotel. It cost $20 to valet park, which you're going to end up doing if you go in the evening because parking isn't to good. I got there right before 10pm so that could have something to do with lack of parking. The first time I went to the virgin hotel I fell in love with all of the attributes and photo opportunities that it offered. The restaurant is just the same, its very chic on the inside and also has a little patio area that would be cute to sit out on during the day time. We sat at the bar before being seated and I would go back honestly just to sit at the bar. The hostess also was really kind. I ordered the Croquettes which where pretty good I actually like them they where different but the taste was great. A friend I was with however ordered the rack of lamb and it was overcooked. For the cost of it ($70) we definitely feel like it should have been cooked to perfection. Overall I would definitely go back and give them another try, probably during the day this time.

Yelp
The experience from start to finish was phenomenal. The service was 5-star. The food was 5-star and the ambiance was 5-star. Some of my favorites included the muscles in saffron sauce, the truffle pasta, bread service and buns! Make sure to book if you're staying and the virgin!

Yelp
The food was good and the decor was very cute! Only reason I'm giving three stars is because we asked if they'd cut the birthday cake we brought and they agreed. However, they didn't mention it was $3.50 per slice and the sliced weren't even remotely equal. Great espresso martinis but not great that we had to pay $31.50 for a cake we made ourselves!

Yelp
Ambiance was very trendy. My boyfriend took me for my birthday and they even had live jazz music! The service was fantastic. Guy was nice and prompt. Food was amazing. I had lobster scampi, oysters and my boyfriend had the duck. 10/10. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THE JAPANESE CHEESECAKE

Yelp
This Drag show was sooooo fun. The show host Jenny was phenomenal. The rest is upbeat and lively. Only downside the drag show brunch menu is super small

Yelp
Hey everyone! Wanted to tell you about my experience at the Commons Club at the Virgin Hotel here in Dallas, Texas for Drag Brunch. Overall it was enjoyable. The entertainment was high caliber and fantastic! The performers put on 8 numbers for the audience, that is impressive. When arriving to check in for brunch the hostess had our seating incorrect but eventually corrected the mistake and we were seated. The menus is quite limited for its selection but my guest and I found something we both could enjoy. Our server started attentive but as the day progress it was harder and harder to get his attention. We had to order drinks from the manager, bartender and other waitstaff a couple times. We place our order for the savory "Hi-line Kolaches" but the online menu says 2 per order but the menu in-house said 1 per order. The kolache arrived and it was presented beautifully but it was very dry. We ordered the French Toast and Brisket Hash as our main dishes. The brisket has was absolutely incredible. It was savory and very favorable! The french toast was beautiful but the taste was not at all good. It was dry on the inside and didn't have any real "french toast" flavor. Overall the experience was great, the food quality was below average and service was slow. 3 out of 5 for me.

Yelp
Stayed here for the weekend and got invited to have dinner for my girlfriend's birthday. The vibe and drinks were awesome. What turned it all around was the food for me... every dish we ordered was mediocre and definitely overpriced. The only item that was (maybe) worth it was the "boujee tots". We ordered that, the charred octopus, wagyu short rib, and the akaushi strip. I was honestly a bit floored at how the strip steak was served..... they clearly didn't let it rest prior to serving and the presentation just wasn't well thought out.. it was $83, too. It was a bit dry (didn't retain any moisture, the juices seeped) and under seasoned. A bit of a disappointment..

Yelp
Food delicious. Service impeccable. Ambiance ok. I'd recommend not sitting near the entertainment if you want to talk.
