Commonwealth Bar and Lounge with deejay DJ Munch, it was not okay that you spoke about the other deejay on the MIC that you heard he wasn't not good. I was there and he played good music and not once which happened to you tonight the music cut off 5 times. I am a deejay from new york to Europe and this is straight disrespectful to MGM and your other deejay co workers for you to talk trash, as when you was going to the toilet I could take your own laptop and did a better job. One order of business, be yourself and do not disrespect your co workers as I would not fire you, but take this as a teaching moment!

Service is great here. Phil always remembers my drink. He hussles to keep his customers happy. Best bartender ever.

This bar has potential...although the drinks are on pricey side it is inside a casino. They do need to fix their schedule online and on wall it says open until 2am. I love dancing so on Friday and Saturdays I love to check the vibe but they've been closing at 1am lights on music off. It's a casino 24hr operation least ya could do is keep music going until 2am & last bar at 1am.

I went there just to grab a drink and I ended up spending the whole night watching a live band absolutely bring the house down on New Years Day. Please bring that band back.

Went here on Saturday on a whim. Great vibe, met some cool people. Place was hopping so the bar was extremely busy. Had a bit of a wait to order my drink but the bartenders were doing their best. Drinks a little too on the higher side, but that’s to be expected in a casino. They do last call at 1 I think, as that’s when the lights went on and they were shooing everyone out. A little disappointed in that but overall a great experience here. I’ll definitely be back soon.

This is within the MGM casino. There was no one at the entry checking ID’s or enforcing a dress code. This place has potential to be of upscale quality but didn’t resemble that once inside seeing some of the crazy looking people who were in there. There were a couple of guys that looked like they rolled out of to bed to come here wearing white “wife beater” tank tops and a girl they were with was so drunk she was falling on the floor and picking fights with other people in the bar area. No security came over to assess the situation so that all the other people who were trying to enjoy themselves, could continue to do so. I came here once before while I was visiting MGM and the standards of Commonwealth seemed to be better when it first opened. The bartender (male gentlemen) was great though! Nice personality and very friendly. Upgrade the dress code standards to match the ambiance of the rest of the establishment. The cucumber cooler cocktail was very delicious. The ambiance inside looks nice.

I was pleasantly surprised how nicely the atmosphere was, cozy, comfy, casual with a touch of class. I went to see Jesus Pagan Y su Orquesta, they were awesome and had people moving and dancing. I would give five stars, however MGM needs to have better service for wait staff. Only one Drink Server, who wasn't very quick and our group of four couldn't order from the bar they told us. So MGM get better wait staff or have at least two, you lost money with the amount of drinks our group could of had. Especially for event's that have groups of people coming to drink and enjoy a live show.

When I say I didn't want to leave, I really didn't want to leave, but it was getting dark out (not like you can tell inside a casino) and it was getting late on a work night. *Sigh*. This place was amazing and I'll tell you why... Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is inside the MGM Grand Casino in Springfield so you know it'll be classy. It was chill, relaxed and really easy going. I loved how we could just sit at the bar, play some video poker, sip and have great conversation with others around you. Service: Excellent. We were first greeted by an awesome young lady. I forget her name, but I'll never forget her tattoo. It was Disneyland, but like, zombie versions. Lol. It was the coolest thing and I believe she called it "Death Disney". Wild, but cool. I do however remember Bryan, Cassie and Aiden! Aiden looks like Bruno Mars, Cassie was really sweet and Bryan... well, Bryan was just damn awesome. He chatted with us, told us his story and how he preferred to make drinks... craft style instead of your normal cookie-cutter style cocktails. So some of the drinks I had weren't even on the menu, but came out of his head. Make sure you go see him. For real. Food: Well, they don't serve food here, so we drank! I started off with some wine... you know, some Pinot Noir, 2 glasses to be precise. Then as I loosened up I started getting adventurous. Hennessy is always delicious, but he fun part is when we got Bryan excited! He likes to create and make drinks so I told him to use his imagination and make me a drink with 219 parts. I was obviously joking, but he answered the call! He came through with a Sidecar at first. A Sidecar is basically cognac, orange liqueur and lemon juice. He stuck with the dark liquor theme since I was already drinking dark. He added his own twist and it was delicious, served with this hilariously big ice cube in it. I loved it. Next was the Old Fashioned. It's made with muddled sugar, (which I watched him do), bitters and whiskey with some citrus zest! Another hit! This dude is legit. Like I said, go see that man. Like I said earlier, I want to drive all the way to MGM just to come hang out at this place. I had that much of a good time there. I will be back.

My third time going to watch the show, Rick Larrimore (Rod Stewart Tribute Artist) and Nicole Fuller (Lady Gaga Tribute Artist), gets better every time! They are so talented and get the crowd going, dancing, and everyone has such a fun time. The drinks are good, great atmosphere, and the service is excellent, very attentive and friendly. Ambiance is also very nice.

Good spot to grab a few drinks. Started to get busy around 11:45pm. A little tight on space though.

Staff is racist. Plain and simple. Tried to obtain bottle service and was denied. Repeatedly told we couldn't sit in certain chairs. Three out of four people in our party are people of color. Asked to then make a reservation for an available table and was denied again. Even an hour before they closed and we were denied. Manager demanded $500 cash and was aggressive and actually threatened physical violence. Almost had to call the police for protection. Felt very unsafe and didn't know what to do. Filed an official complaint with Vegas. Horrific experience. Traumatic. Won't be back to this club or to the casino.

I definitely prefer this lounge over the other sports bar at mgm Springfield. Bartenders are personable and knowledgeable about the drinks there preparing. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of comfortable seating. Will definitely be returning

Will never ever go here again. Was there last night for a party I and my partner paid well over 300 for New Years for four hour open bar from 10-2AM we got in around 10:45 turns out the party had started at 8PM-12AM completely different from stated on the our tickets or event page. I go to order a drink and get a a 1/2oz shot pour and all mixer ....really this is what I paid 150$ each for? When I went up after midnight to order a drink I was notified I was going to have to pay for it and I stated that the event was advertised from 10PM-2AM open bar not 8-12 and it was extremely unfair. We had probably about 6 WEAK drinks and left absolutely furious. Will never ever step foot in this place again or mgm (WEAK PAYOUTS!)

Stopped in for a drink while at MGM casino. Although the decor and ambience was warm and welcoming, the staff was not. We sat for over 15 minutes without any attention from staff, and thus took it upon ourselves to order from the bar. (Even though the table next to us was attended to by a server). While drinking our drinks, the waitress stopped by once to check on us, though we were there for over an hour and would have ordered another round if she has stopped by again. Not sure if it was the holiday staffing or other unknown reasons but the service was not like other reviewers mentioned which really influenced our experience.

Stopped in at the Commonwealth bar while at the MGM. Great time and fantastic bartender Lauren! She was knowledgable about the cocktails and made a great Manhattan. I would go back in a heartbeat!

I went to the Commonwealth Bar with friends last night for a celebration. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had because of the way my friends and I were treated by the staff. When we arrived around 10 the bar was not very and there were lots of open seating areas so we sat down at one to get bottle service. The server Kyle approach us and told the area was for bottle service only. We then told her we were going to order bottles and then she rudely said this spot is reserved so we left and ordered from the bar and went on with our night. At about 12:45am we went to another open seating area to order a bottle and she came up to us again and told we could not there either. Again she was surprisingly and unnecessarily rude and disrespectful to us. So we asked to speak to the manager. Dennis who identified him self as the GM of bar came over to the table and was very aggressive and not willing to listen to us. He said that the table was reserved. When we questioned the idea of someone coming an hour before closing he said he didn't not have to explain anything to us. The way he spoke to us was inappropriate and hostile. I am not sure if they thought we couldn't afford bottle service or it had something to do with the fact that two people in our party we people of color. It honestly felt discriminatory for what ever reason. But we are professionals who could afford to buy our own bottles twice over. I have never experienced this kind of treatment before in my life. I hope no one ever has to go through what we did last night. The server nor the manage should be in this field because they both do not know how to deal with the public. Horrible place. I have been there several times but I will not ever return again and will tell everyone I know about how we were treated last night.

Not worth the money and first of all your time. The staff is very judgmental about their potential customers. I didn't looked like million dollars but still not like begger and was completely ignored. So I ended up at the bar where I ordered my drinks and went back to our seats. For another 45 min we were completely... ignored. This place gives high hopes but unfortunately managment and staff seems to be interested mainly... in themselves.

A must see!! Went inside to meet a friend before we hit the tables, and to my surprise the place has done a complete 180 since my first time going there after they opened. After showing my I.D I was greeted by a nice guy in a suit and as I walked in, I could completely feel and see the difference. As I looked for my friend I was greeted by a young women who introduced herself politely, I introduced myself, and informed me if I had any questions and or needed anything feel free to ask and she would gladly be of help.After finding my friend..(place was very busy)we watched an inning of the Sox,patiently waited for waters to go, bar was very busy and we were off to the left and we're about to give up when the professionally sexy dressed young woman asked if she could help which she did,we thanked her and went and played. After a few hours we took our winnings and went back to check it out and once again were greeted by the young women which impressed me because she addressed us by name which made me feel welcomed. We played the poker machines, staff were great and on our way out my friend realized a black chip (100$) was still in his pocket, stupidly felt the need to show me as someone accidently bumped his hand, dropped it on a black floor with little light at that hour. As he panicked and I began to look, this girl must never stop moving because out of no where she appeared,immediately had the intelligence to get security and with a few clicks of his flashlight we saw it. After thanking and remembering her name ,Olivia, we cashed it and left. Now the rest of our friends want to meet this superwoman who we told about,so we will definitely return next week! Driving home,we remembered the lady who was so nice at Commonwealth, was our server from their golf some months ago. I can see why MGM promotes her in such a short time, we assume shes the manager here. Keep it up MGM. If you like to have fun and feel taken care of, this is a must see!!

Came in from out of town (Alabama) on business and went to the commonwealth bar and lounge at the MGM Casino in Springfield, MA on 1/25th with my cousin and had a nasty experience with the manager because we sat a table that was clearly not marked as being reserved. Not only was the table not marked as being reserved he tried to imply that we moved the sign instead of just saying they dropped the ball and that the table should have been marked as being reserved. He instead he pulled the reserve sign from under the table and said now it is reserved and requested us to move and/or leave then got security to escort not only us out but another group of people we didn't even know that was sitting at the same table as well. When we tried to explain there was nothing on the table prior to us sitting down he just said well it is and was sarcastic about. In my opinion I believe he could have handle the situation better than he did and for that I will not be returning to that establishment or the casino since they dont care if your a paying customer or not.
