Commonwealth Senior Living at Georgian Manor

Grateful for the great directors and leadership at Georgian Manor. They work sooo well with their team and are very friendly, caring and kind to the residents and family, especially to my mother. I feel they work so very hard to provide a positive healthy, clean, fun, and warm environment for their residents. Thank you for all you do to help the residents feel productive and cared for!! ❤️❤️🙏🏻

My dad is quite content here. He’s been here for a year now. The staff are all friendly, loving and care about the residents. They treat the family with respect and are welcoming each time we visit. They’re always hosting family events, and have an active daily schedule for the residents. The food is good too. The place is clean and pleasant to visit and it always smells fresh. I highly recommend this facility for your loved one.

My mother-in-law has only been here a short while, but she already loves the people and the activities. We set up and decorated her room the way she wanted it with her own items. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and kind and have taken the time to get to know her and encourage her to participate in activities. The food is freshly made and they offer a great variety of meals. We looked at several places and are so happy with our choice for Georgian Manor!!

Visiting my mom today since I was out of town for Thanksgiving Holiday. For group activity, mom was at activity room making flower arrangement and then watching the oldies dancing and singing!! She enjoyed herself. Mom is well dressed and the facility is very clean with pleasant smells as usual.

The cadets did an amazing job showcasing what they had learned. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. It was a safe and welcoming experience…

Georgian Manor was my sister’s home for 17 months. I have only wonderful things to say about the facility and the staff. They welcomed her with open arms. She loved everything about her new home...the food, the people, the beautiful facility. She had some recent health problems and the team took time to visit her in the hospital and took her many calls to check in on her friends and get up-to-date on what she was missing. When she had medical challenges they always promptly notified me. I lived 13 hours away but always had peace of mind. Thank you Georgian Manor!

This is a lovely community with a compassionate and caring nursing team. I visit often and it is always very clean and smells nice. The admin team and all staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Highly recommended for your loved one needing a new place to call home.

Georgian Manor has been a part of my life for many years now. Both my mom and dad were there until my dad passed away several years ago. My mom wanted to try a different place but in a very short period of time wanted to “go back home!” That was Georgian Manor !! It’s a wonderful place for her and it’s feels so perfect. She loves everything about being where she is. I must write about the new Executive Director Cristy Hansen!!!! A breath of fresh air and she’s such a blessing!!! I live in Charlotte NC so I have not met her in person only through emails but I already feel like I’ve made a friend and feel sooooo good shes there with my mom. We needed to have my mom’s phone closer to the chair she sits on so Cristy went to her room determined she needed a longer phone cord. She left work and went to the store to purchase it herself. Then there was a meet and greet for the residents to meet her and she wound up playing corn hole with my mom. My mom felt so special!!!! This Cristy is a true blessing!!! Sends emails at 8:15 in the evening and when she says she’ll get back with you tomorrow she does!!!! I hope Cristy’s boss reads this. She’s a gem don’t let her go!!!!’ Hats off to Cristy Hansen!!!! COMMONWEATH CEDAR MANOR GEORGIAN is an awesome place. From the nurses, custodians, clerical, admin, and sales manager Ian Dwyer, all care about their patients and their family. I feel so at ease with my mom being there and know she will get the best care possible. Here at Christmas time, it is refreshing to see the beautiful tree and hear the baby grand piano playing Christmas music. The patients are happy and the place smells fresh and clean. So glad I found this place!!

We chose CSL Georgian Manor for our mother's continued assisted living when she was kicked out of Autumn Care Rehab. After a tour of the facility, we were most pleased with the building's condition and lack of odors, as well as the care given each resident. It's beautifully decorated. Since moving Mom in, she has received the care she needs from a staff that really cares. Everyone is friendly towards the residents, as well as, visitors. They have activities daily and encourage participation. All mom's visitors have been very complimentary of this facility. So if you are looking for a place for a loved one in need of assistance I highly recommend Georgian Manor.

My mom has been a resident for almost 16 years. We have been very pleased with her care. The facility is clean and well cared for. There are always things for the resident and family to get involved with. My mom's favorite part is the food!

This facility contacted me when my father had just lost his wife & the facility he was living in had sent him to the hospital after they found him in bed at night with the corner of his fitted bedsheet over his head. The staff took it off his head & asked him why he put it over his head & he stated he didn't want to live anymore. He had been taken off all his meds including his antidepressants and evidently spiraled into a deep depression! The facility would not take him back until family hired 24/7 care for 30 days @ well over $20.00+ per hour! Commonwealth Senior Living contacted family & said they evaluated him & found him to be ok to be a resident of their community, come by we will show you our facility & answer any questions you might have. They them handed the family all the necessary paperwork to fill out & said they could take him the following day. Supposed to sign contract next morning, was put off 2 hours then called and rudely told me "we cannot accept your father at our facility ". Frankly I felt they went out of their way to get him, then rudely dismissed me without any type of apologies! This place is very unprofessional and have no clue how to handle people in a professional manner. STAY CLEAR of Commonwealth Senior Living aka Commonwealth Senior Living at Georgian Manor.

I am a professional caregiver and have been to many many facilities in the Hampton Roads area. Georgian Manor is the best of the best. Everyone from their Sales & Marketing Director & Administrator to their CNAs, housekeepers, and dining staff are kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I have never been to another ALF where everyone knows every resident. It is truly a special place.
