Communipaw

Been a customer for a few years now but really disappointed with the service this last month. Customer support was inefficient and rude based on their own incompetence. Waited three hours for an order and had to argue with the cashier just to figure out what was going on. No confirmation through call or email and had to go back and forth to solve a simple problem. Its really about the lying and lack of transparency that makes me lose trust in this business at this point. Very childish but what are you really expecting with a liquor store in this area right?

This place is pretty good always stocked with many items and some stuff that is hard to find. The prices are good too on par with most of the liquor stores. Not much more to say. If your thirsty for some adult beverages its a nice spot to pick up. There is a dominos next to it too if u need to pick up some pizza. Lol.

With some delivered food from Hamilton Pork, I wanted some local brews I've never tried before without leaving the house, so I placed an order through the Drizly app from which I selected Communipaw Liquor because they offered the quickest delivery time and offered a decent beer selection that fit my criteria. This was the first time I ever used this delivery app, and all was pretty straightforward. With a couple firsts, how was my experience with everything!? PURCHASE The Alementary Brewing Co. Drizly Delivery Fee ($2.99): If it's required... SERVICE Ordered online, the process was quick and painless. Unfortunately, I was given an ETA of 40-60 minutes when the order arrived closer to 80 minutes later with a phone call from the delivery person - easy-peasy! PARKING (FREE; N/A in this instance) Since I placed a delivery order, no parking necessary - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Since I placed a delivery order, unfortunately, I had no idea what the actual brick & mortar looked like. Unless I made a special trip before my vacation was over, this section will be left incomplete. ATTIRE Temperatures were in the 30s, so I was bundled-up from head-to-toe. Otherwise, this place was totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Communipaw Liquor provided what I needed so all was good in the world. Sure, the delivery took longer than expected, but that was more an issue with the Drizly app driver than the business itself. The prices were very comparable, and although I enjoyed the beers it had nothing to do with the liquor store. In this case, I felt it wasn't necessary to actually visit the store. And, it was always a pleasure to support small local mom & pop businesses like this one. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $30.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

I have been getting deliveries from Communipaw Liquors for years. Always have been on time (I dont live too far but even when I change my address I receive my orders under an hour). Any driver I have has been polite. They are always stocked with my go-tos. Even when there is an issue with an item being out of stock or incorrect address, the customer service has been quick and efficient. I will continue to order from here

A liquor store that stocks good whiskey and IPAs and delivers! What more do you need! I downloaded there app and have them deliver my favorite beers and spirits. It's free delivery as long as $30 minimum. The one thing I hate is the parking lot here is tiny and terrible; always packed.

If I could give this overpriced fake wine store a zero I would. There delivery sucks. Driver never rang my bell. Called and didn't leave a message and didn't try again. Who does that! I had to call them after nearly two hours only to be treated like it was my fault he didn't ring my bell. Rudest female ever on the phone. Not worth it at. All of the prices are 2-3 dollars higher. Bag fee for what when you have all of those boxes. Thought bags were banned in Nj. Just not at the liquor Sto. Don't go here. 440 has a better more upscale selection with competitive prices. Please don't go here. Keep it moving!

Guys... This place is a joke! There's plan to have them fined and shut down. Read the complaint below. STOP spending your money there. It's not worth it! Vick, I'm sure it's no surprise to you that you'd receive this email. It quite concerning that you and your team have no value for your customers. First thing is that this is not the first time of disappointment with Communipaw Liquors, but maybe the last. I placed an order at 6pm on 3/17 hoping to receive my spirits for such a stressful week and everything we're going through in the nation. At 8pm I called just to check on the delivery Phillip then looks into it and informs me that the order was en route to be delivered and that there were many orders. He promised me to remain rest assured that my order would be delivered. By 10:40 after my conference call, I called Communipaw Liquors back to inquire about the delivery. He takes 5 minutes to look into this and then discovers that it was an oversight and that the order was not placed. Lie two! Then he proceeded to tell me he can have it delivered tomorrow anytime. I told him, that this can't be the only option. I had to then help him think outside of the underage mind by suggesting a refund or allowing me to come pickup the delivery. Once he contacted you, he returned with an answer that no customer wants to hear. Yes, I already know you believe that for the customers safety it's best not to allow them in the store, and that for NJ laws you can't have the order fulfilled at this time. However; Phillip disclosed that he was waiting for the last driver and then the store would be empty and closed. My questions to you are: 1- where is the transparency? 2-where is the customer relations? 3-how was my order overseen? 4-why did I get a message stating the order being delivered? 5- why shouldn't I make this mess up of yours apparent to all other customers via social media/ drizly and their marketing and business development team/ BBB org, etc.? What do you plan to do about this? If you can imagine ruining someone's night... this is as close as it gets because of your failure to deliver your promise. I'd also like to here from the owner. What's his or her information? I'm looking forward to hearing from you or your manager within 12 hours. *****BIGGEST FAILURE EVER*****

Used the app, good experience. Driver confirmed my card and id when arriving. It was easy to use, they were quick and professional. The fee was reasonable as well. Will use again.

Driver wouldn't authorize family member to receive liquor that was purchase from MY card. Have not received refund yet .

The wine deal they advertise is false they don't honor it. Also the delivery fee is crazy I highly recommend going to Costco Bayonne for liquor

Located in what I like to think of as the "car repair" section of communipaw, this liquor store may seem a little scary to the passer by. I can whole heartedly assure you that is not the case! If a skinny little white girl can do it, so can you! The prices are pretty competetive and they carry many of the standard beers, wines, and liquors. I noticed they like to carry andre and 40's of beer, but who is to judge?! Sometimes you need a 40...! The other customers are almost alarmingly friendly. I almost always have a meaningful conversations when I stop in. Things like "your feet are so small!" and "i just joined a gym, I haven't been to the gym in 30 years!" are commonplace. My feet really aren't very small but I think that was a compliment(?). The staff are nice and ready to assist if another drunk patron may be a little chatty. Please note the $10 credit card minimum and close proximity to Domino's pizza. See you soon Communipaw liquor.

Very simple, very tough place to find something nice about. From beginning to end had issues and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!!

Communipaw is my go-to for delivery! They're always nice and polite And call me if I ordered something out of stock!

If you don't find parking, just go around the block once because this small parking lot has a super quick turnaround time. Dominos pizza is also here in the same lot for pickups and most patrons of the fine liquor store are in and out within 5 minutes. They sell ice here and many mixers. Guys working here are very nice and helpful too!

terrible location, a parade of cars on one of the city's busiest streets blocks the entrance. the strips parking lot is far too small to accommodate 2 stores, let alone 3. the staff are entitled and short tempered. while in the store or at the dominos next door, ive seen the store owner go kick out people out of the lot, even threatening to tow them, for taking too long in dominos, believing the whole lot belongs to him, which they in fact dont, ive spoken to the dominos manager & pharmacy owner. this is jersey city, for crappy service with so-so selection & prices, you can go to a number of other liquor stores
