A New Initiative Pays Dallas Restaurant Workers to Help Fight Hunger | Eater Dallas
"A local community foundation that hosted the launch of the pandemic-era staffing initiative and served as the platform for coordinating the fund. By facilitating the program’s launch and distribution mechanisms, the foundation helped link displaced hospitality workers with nonprofits in need of paid shift labor to maintain meal delivery and other critical services." - Adele Chapin

this group runs North Texas Giving Day but does not run it well. The whole day is a sales program for their vendors who sell yard signs and any other marketing item you can think.
Meanwhile they do not help and actively are discouraging to smaller nonprofits that support schools.
