I just moved here a couple of weeks ago and I love it so far. I'll probably stay here the rest of my life. The rent is like $515 a month. There's no indoor plumbing in the tiny homes. You have to carry your water from the restrooms and shower building there are within 45ft any home. They have a convenience store and a medical clinic and a small theater and chickens. There's a place called the living room where everyone hangs out. They've got a big art building and it's called The entrepreneur building or something like that I suppose they teach you how to make some art that you can sell. That makes sense because some art sells for millions of dollars. My next door neighbor here he paints a lot and his paintings look like the famous painter Jackson Pollock's work. So the lack of indoor plumbing is the only negative I can see so far and that's not really that big of a deal. You just have to go to the showers with a bucket and bring some back. There are showers and restrooms. They also have like these little campers. They're a little bigger and I believe they have plumbing in them. But the rent is amazing,! I remember hearing that the average price for a one-bedroom studio in Austin Texas is 1400.00 a month. I'm from a tiny Town in Tennessee and they're $500 a month will get you a whole house on 5 acres Land. That's because nobody wants to live there including me

When I went to the interview the other day I saw a dude banging his head on the mailbox really hard and the staff does nothing about it. people walking around with open containers I asked about the drug situation and unfortunately they don't care do anything about the tweakers smoking meth inside the little tiny homes. But yet if you have a friend stay over they have to pay and can only do it a few times a month that don't. make no sense. to be honest I don't feel safe moving here. These tiny homes are literally home Depot sheds that you're going to pay for the 500 a month it makes no sense. I'm editing the review because today Melissa ghaling one of the moving coordinators text someone that's not on my lease saying that I was lieing angry and I was putting all my stuff out on the curb make it seem like I was moving out.

These people are changing the world, quite literally. This community is one that provides not only daily essentials, but also brings people hope when they're at a low point in life. Visiting here, staying for a weekend, and serving is an amazing experience and puts life in perspective. The people here are some the friendliest, and will take you on a tour of the property to show you all the amenities... kitchens, bathrooms, event center, theater, etc. Come for a movie night or just to hang out. 10/10 would recommend.

The excessive number of evictions and poor retention rates after 2 years 1/3 of all residents get eviction filed against them, is unacceptable for a model that professes it's the cure for homelessness,,,is part of Austin's Permanent Supportive Housing network and tells prospective residents that this is their 'forever home'. There are a lot of good things here many staff members that truly care but the Property Management Staff should stick to managing the property not be monitoring and managing people which they clearly aren't qualified to do.

Visited this community for the first time recently due to an event that was held on location. We attended the 2019 forging competition and wow did we have a wonderful time here! Everyone was so kind, welcoming and friendly. We were in awe of the community and feel grateful to have discovered this gem of a community; we definitely plan on returning and volunteering in the future!

This place is revitalizing, it works, and is breathtaking to see in action…in person. More cities would do well to take note and copy this roadmap in their own communities. It’s so needed and obtainable and they did a beautiful job, from the ethos to the homes, to the street names. Why every city doesn’t have this is insanity. It gives much inspiration and hope to see in person.

Decent place. Lived there almost six years. Changed for the worse in my opinion. If you're ever accused, you're guilty, regardless of proof. Been homeless since I left there last August. Lost everything I acquired there, everything! Hoping to be re admitted soon.

Yelp
I love this place. It's a true community for our Austin unhoused neighbors to be a part of and actively create and maintain. Beautiful vision and execution and much needed elsewhere.

Yelp
A unique project designed to help the chronically homeless and disabled find affordable and sustainable housing in a loving community. Located on bus route 237 in East Austin this housing center helps to empower those less fortunate by giving them more permanent housing. This 27 acre park is split into a collection of tiny homes and RV trailers in a well curated landscape. Resources like a medical clinic, workshop, community gardens, and memorial area really makes this a special place. It is a faith based organization that is open to people of all faiths. Many of the RVs have more permanent structures like a porch that have been built next to them. The tiny homes are incredible with a variety of different floor plans sponsored by local builders and donors. Bathrooms are communal. There is an outdoor movie theater right at the entrance. It feels clean and well decorated with more construction constantly underway. By the far the best part is getting to hear from and connect with current residents about how this unique solution to their problem has resonated with them. It's clear that in addition to providing material needs, the people running this place care about the residents here. This business model of using tiny homes to combat homelessness was written up by CNN. In addition to donating financially, you can also help build. I applaud the efforts underway here and am excited for how this place will continue to help people in need in the future.

Yelp
Lovely community for the previously unhoused in Austin. I am such a fan of this place and what they are doing.

Yelp
This is a great place to visit and seems like a great start plan for homeless people to get another opportunity into acclimate themselves back into society the right way.but in order to live there, there are a few requirements when it comes to the homeless citizens. With that said, Unfortunately it's not a "fair" place to stay for all homeless or those with a dark complexion
