‘I Thought I Was All Done With That’: COVID Surge Forces Restaurants to Shut Down Temporarily | Eater Chicago

"The regional hospital in Munster, Indiana where the owner was admitted overnight after developing pneumonia and was diagnosed with COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated; the stay was described as frightening given an underlying condition (juvenile asthma), and the facility is noted as being relatively close to the owner's home in Dolton." - Ashok Selvam

My daughter and her boyfriend were in there and this is just one story I have at least seven more. He literally passed out on the floor. They walked over him and said we drew blood already. Just go home and will call you. My daughter is way smaller than her boyfriend and she had to literally get him up. She had to call a family member for help and then they had to put him in the car and take him to another hospital, where he actually got treatment and they were treated like human beings not like animals. The service the staff, the nurses the desk women are horrible from the moment you walk in that hospital to the moment you leave. There is a reason why it is called the death trap because that hospital will kill you. Everybody in there is uneducated. Unprofessional has zero experience and has zero empathy care or concern for the patients they must forgot where they’re working. I have been there with there have been gang bangers and drug deals going on in the parking lot and not to mention the people inside of the building waiting to be seen that’s like being in a horror film. You’re not sure if you’re either gonna die from one of them from shooting you or from someone in the back of the ER who doesn’t know how to do their job. I recommend nobody take your loved ones family friends strangers to this hospital. It needs to be shut down and condemned not to mention it is filthy that and itself can create tons of germs and viruses for patients, but if you want to live and you want to be treated and you want it to be resolved, do not go to community hospital. Do not worst hospital ever.

I can’t say enough about the Cardiac Rehabilitation staff that I have been involved with. My rehab program takes place in gym 1. The staff is kind, caring, compassionate and supportive.Their work is exemplary. Thank you all for everything you do. You’re AWESOME!!! Your enthusiasm and passion has encouraged me to begin using the treadmill and exercise bike that have been in my basement for the past 20 years unused. You’re the BEST!

Nick and Stephanie are amazing at the Harvest Drive Radiology department! Unfortunately I did not have either one today. The woman who took care of me never introduced herself. She had problems prepping me for my CT scan. Hopefully I won’t have her again!

Every single person we had contact with was kind, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, would definitely recommend. Phil Wharton was an excellent anesthesiologist, explained everything and took time with us. Also, Emily, our recovery nurse. She was so sweet and also explained everything, she didn't pop in every now and then..she was always checking on us...she made sure we were very well cared for. An angel.

My review for Eddie , I want to express my deepest gratitude for Nurse Eddie Rivera, whose compassion and professionalism made a world of difference during my time in care. From the moment I met him, Eddie’s kindness and attentiveness reassured me that I was in capable hands. He went above and beyond, ensuring my comfort and well-being, not just physically but emotionally as well. His patience, warmth, and willingness to listen truly set him apart. Eddie’s expertise was evident in every aspect of his care, and his genuine concern for his patients shines through in all he does. He treated me not just as a patient, but as a person—offering encouragement and kindness that eased my worries and made my healing journey so much smoother. His ability to blend skill with heartfelt compassion is a gift, and I am deeply appreciative of his unwavering support. Thank you, Nurse Eddie Rivera, for your dedication and care. You are an incredible nurse, and the impact you have on those you serve is truly invaluable.

The hospital is clean and the staff is great, but there is absolutely no way to be comfortable while you're waiting for a patient to go through a procedure! I have been a caregiver for a long time. I have to go to the different hospitals in the area very often. This is the only hospital that has absolutely NO regard for the people that have to sit for hours while waiting.
